She was 8 months pregnant when the knocks came to her door… @idfwo.en Itay Galea was a 38 year old husband, software developer, father of two, and was killed on Israel’s northern border on July 4, 2024, in a barrage of more than 300 Hezbollah rockets. He never got to hold his son, Romi, who was born while his wife Gal was still grieving his loss… The headlines may move on… but the families can’t. The IDF Widows & Orphans Organization cares for families like Gal’s for the rest of their lives. When Romi was born, they sent night nurses so she could sleep. Since October 7th, more than 1,400 new widows and orphans have joined them … more than the previous 20 years combined. Three years later…Meet Rotem Matias. Rotem was 16 years old and both of his parents were murd3r3d on 10/7/23 . When Hamas t3rr0rists stormed Kibbutz Holit,they broke into the Matias home and opened fire on the house, spraying bullets through the windows. Rotem’s dad stood with a hammer and then Rotem layed down with his mom laying on top of him to protect him. He then heard them shout ‘Allahu Akbar’ as they forced open the safe room door and started shooting. He knew his mom died instantly because she started convulsing on top of him. He then heard his dad breathe for about a minute and then he turned silent. For a long hour, Rotem layed motionless beneath his mother’s final protective embrace to hide from the t3rr0rists. It was only after 10 hours that IDF soldiers finally rescued Rotem from his home. No child should ever have to experience this type of physical and mental pain.

Years later…still way too much sadness and heartbreak to be able to put into words what I truly want to say. Ohad Yahalomi was an innocent/loving father and husband. He was viciously kidnapped on October 7 from his home with his family, separately. His wife Batsheva and daughter Yael were able to escape from their captors. Eitan was taken separately and was held hostage for 52 days before being released. Ohad’s family had hope that he would return back to them … ALIVE. Instead, his deceased body was released from Gaza back to Israel. There were signs of life during captivity. He had a chance. I’m sorry we couldn’t save you in time Ohad. I promise I will continue doing EVERYTHING I can to make sure your family is taken care . The entire world needs to hear their TESTIMONIES first hand. We will NEVER forget. May his memory forever be a blessing. 🕊️

So…this happened… @oprah 😱 Yesterday we celebrated the life of a woman who has deeply impacted us and SO many others- @dr.editheger Edie was an extraordinary woman- a Holocaust survivor from Hungary (like my grandmother) and a dancer (like me). I first heard of her story standing by a cattle car at Auschwitz with my mother filming my Holocaust educational docuseries called How To Never Forget. My life was forever changed. I’ll carry your light forward. For everybody. 🦋 This moment was surreal. Getting to not only meet @oprah , but delivering a speech with her sitting front row , giving her a hug, and then actually be able to really connect and spend time with her was something I will cherish forever. This is Edie’s grandson Jordan who is carrying her legacy with such passion and determination in a way that is so beautiful and special to witness. He has been her partner in all of her work and now is heading her foundation. Couldn’t agree more 🙏🏻 Two QUEENS @dr.editheger @oprah I will never forget hearing about Edie for the first time and how much I connected with her story before even meeting her. Edie was forced to dance for Dr.Mengele just to survive. Can you imagine? The second we met, it truly felt like we were kindred spirits. Our connection transcended generations. 🤍🦋 @dr.editheger has written several books that are MUST reads (listen to @oprah ) The Choice The Gift The Ballerina of Auschwitz My heart 🥹🤍 I had the privilege of singing the Hatikvah on stage with Edie at an event uniting Christians and Jews against antisemitism and hate. Edie’s messages were never just meant for Jews. She wanted anybody in pain, anybody carrying their own personal prison, to hear her story and know they can choose freedom, too. I mean…. Look at that smile! 🥹🤍 Edie, I promise to never challenge you to another high kick contest, because I know I’ll lose again. But I promise you, I will keep dancing. I will keep singing. I will keep telling your story like it’s my own family’s story… because to me, it is. We all love and miss you so much. And we will never forget. And never stop dancing.

This is a heartbreaking and devastating post I wish I didn’t have to share… On October 7,2023, Yael Idan had to witness Hamas murder her older sister Maayan right in front of her. Then the rest of family was then forced to leave their safe room and go into the kitchen. Not only did these monsters murder her sister and attack her family, they also took her moms cellphone and started a live stream on her Facebook for her friends, family, and the entire world to see. The terrorists then kidnapped her father Tzachi, taking him to Gaza while leaving the rest of his family in the kitchen. Yael said that they told them if they moved, they would die. They also promised Yael they would bring her father back to her…. Well, they did finally brought him back years later…. Except they just brought his body back since he was MURDERED while in captivity. There were signs of life from him during captivity….The Idan family holds a very special place in my heart and I can’t stop crying for them. They are so strong. The entire world should be crying for them. THIS is why we ALL need to make sure these innocent children’s testimonies are seen and heard. We must never forget. May Tsahi’s memory forever be a blessing. 🕊️

BREAKING NEWS: A terror attack happened today on a plane headed from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Nothing like this has happened since 9/11. The world was outraged then. Where is the outrage now? Sending so much love to the brave heroes aboard that plane that helped save 150 innocent lives.🙏🏻🤍

Macklemore told Jewish people what is and isn’t antisemitic. Pink responded: “You don’t get to decide that for us.” And after artists started walking away from Ed Sheeran’s tour, I think there’s a much bigger conversation we need to have. You can care deeply about Palestinian civilians AND refuse to erase October 7, the hostages, Hamas and Israeli victims. Why are we being told we have to choose whose humanity matters?

You cannot erase half the war and call it “the truth.” NAZA is being celebrated for accusing Israel of “calculated mass killing” while relying on anonymous military sources and leaving out crucial context about October 7, Hamas, the hostages, the tunnels and Israeli victims. Palestinian suffering is real. So is everything the directors chose not to center. If you’re going to make accusations this serious, tell the FULL story. 👀
