European Coalition for Israel warmly congratulates Katharina von Schnurbein on her appointment as Germany’s Federal Government Commissioner for Jewish Life and the Fight against Antisemitism. 🇩🇪 🇪🇺Our cooperation with Katharina von Schnurbein began in 2015, when she delivered her first official speech as the European Commission’s Coordinator on Combating Antisemitism at an ECI symposium in the European Parliament. Over the past 11 years, we have greatly valued her commitment, openness to dialogue and dedication to keeping the fight against antisemitism on Europe’s agenda. We have greatly valued her dedication to building a common European response to antisemitism and her efforts to ensure that the protection of Jewish communities remains a shared responsibility across Europe 🕍🌍. Her work has been an important part of the progress we have witnessed throughout our 11 years of cooperation. We wish Katharina von Schnurbein every success in her new role and look forward to continuing our shared work towards a Europe where Jewish life is protected, valued and able to flourish.
