For much of her life, Raisa knew what it felt like to be treated differently simply because she was Jewish.
She survived the hunger and horrors of World War II, then endured years of anti-Semitism. The harassment became so persistent that she eventually changed her Jewish name, Rachel, to Raisa.
Today, at 90, Raisa lives in Israel. She receives monthly food assistance from The Fellowship, made possible by faithful friends like you. And after a recent Fellowship visit, she shared something beautiful:
“Here, nobody calls me ‘Zhidovka.’ I feel accepted and loved.”
Your compassion reminds precious souls like Raisa that they are seen, loved, and never alone. 💙
