Transcript [00:00] Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey just [00:02] signed a mutual defense pact, which at [00:04] first glance may seem innocent, but when [00:06] you look beyond the headlines, it's [00:08] [music] actually quite sinister and [00:10] something the entire free world should [00:12] be concerned about. Believe it or not, [00:14] the Bible also spoke about something [00:15] like this happening, but we'll get into [00:17] that later in today's video. What is [00:19] this deal? What does it mean for Israel [00:21] and America? Is it directed against Iran [00:24] or something else? Will more Muslim [00:26] nations join in? Spoiler alert, Israel [00:29] appears to be one of the main targets of [00:31] the agreement, but we'll get into all of [00:33] the details right here on the Israel [00:35] guys. [00:37] Turkey is a member of NATO, which [00:39] technically makes them an ally of the [00:41] United States. In recent years, however, [00:43] they've been drifting further and [00:44] further to the dark side. Turkey was [00:46] removed from the F-35 program in 2019 [00:50] after receiving Russia's S400 air [00:53] defense system. The Pentagon warned that [00:55] Anara could not possess both the S400 [00:58] and the F-35 because the Russian system [01:00] could collect sensitive data on the [01:02] aircraft's stealth capabilities. The US [01:05] then imposed sanctions on Turkey in [01:06] December 2020 under the Countering [01:08] America's Adversaries through Sanctions [01:11] Act, known as Katza. Since then, Turkey [01:14] has turned sharply anti-Israel and the [01:17] country has become exceedingly dangerous [01:18] for Israeli tourists. There was even a [01:21] dramatic operation in 2022 where an [01:23] Israeli couple was called on the phone [01:25] by Israel security agencies and told not [01:28] even to go back to their hotel because [01:30] Iranian assets were waiting to kidnap [01:32] them. An Israeli security vehicle then [01:35] pulled up next to the couple in a [01:37] Turkish market. They jumped in the van [01:39] and they were driven straight to the [01:40] airport where they flew straight back to [01:42] Israel. It's sometimes surprising to me [01:44] that Turkey is still part of NATO given [01:46] how cozy they've been with Iran, Russia, [01:49] and ironically kamas. [01:52] Moving on to Pakistan. They are not a [01:54] NATO member, but they are about as close [01:55] as you can get without being part of [01:58] NATO. They hold a special designation [01:59] called major non-NATO ally status which [02:03] gives Pakistan access to excess US [02:06] defense supplies, participation in [02:08] cooperative defense research and [02:10] development projects, priority delivery [02:12] of defense material and US government [02:14] loan guarantees for arms purchases. [02:16] Importantly, it does not mean a mutual [02:18] defense treaty. If Pakistan were [02:20] attacked, the US would not be obligated [02:22] to defend them the way it would a NATO [02:24] member. But here's the other side of [02:25] that coin. Pakistan has never recognized [02:28] Israel. They've consistently shown [02:30] preference for Iranian leadership over [02:32] American interests. And according to a [02:34] report by the Gatesstone Institute, [02:36] Pakistan is a quote unreliable strategic [02:39] partner that should be viewed not as a [02:41] dependable ally, but as an quote [02:44] extremely problematic partner. There's [02:46] even a bill currently before Congress to [02:48] strip Pakistan of its major non-NATO [02:50] ally status entirely. As for Saudi [02:54] Arabia, they're not a NATO member and [02:55] they don't hold the major non-NATO ally [02:58] designation either. The US Saudi [03:00] relationship is based on a decades old [03:02] informal security partnership, [03:04] essentially an oil oil for security [03:06] arrangement dating back to the 1940s [03:08] with no formal treaty and no legal [03:10] obligation for the US to defend them. [03:12] Saudi Arabia has been cautiously [03:14] pursuing closer closer relationships [03:16] with both the United States and Israel [03:19] and has been toying with joining the [03:20] Abraham Accords for some time, but [03:22] they've consistently put the issue of [03:24] Palestinian statethood above their own [03:26] strategic interests. If they move too [03:28] boldly toward Israel, it could cost them [03:30] dearly among their Arab neighbors. by [03:33] signing this pact with their Muslim [03:35] neighbors Pakistan and Turkey. It [03:37] appears like an intentional move away [03:38] from the Abraham Accords as well as a [03:41] move away from a closer relationship [03:43] with the United States. All of this [03:45] brings us back to the Defense Pact. Why [03:48] in the world are these three nations [03:50] teaming up? And is it good news or bad [03:52] news for the free world? We'll get into [03:55] that in one second. But first, there is [03:57] a reason why these two films have stuck [04:00] with so many people who love Israel. The [04:02] first one, I am Israel, is a soaring [04:04] journey through the land of the Bible, [04:06] the vineyards of Samaria, the streets of [04:07] Jerusalem, and showing biblical prophecy [04:10] coming to pass in our own lifetime. In [04:12] the sequel, The Mountain of the King, [04:14] follows the path of the glory of God [04:15] from the deserts of the Exodus all the [04:18] way to the Temple Mount with footage and [04:19] access that even a lot of people who've [04:21] been to Israel have never seen. Our own [04:24] team helped with the filming and the [04:26] acting for both of these movies. This [04:28] week only, you can grab both together [04:30] for 15% off and the proceeds will go [04:33] straight to our volunteer work here on [04:35] the ground in Israel. So, the agreement was signed [04:46] on August 7th in Mecca and stipulates [04:48] that quote, "Any armed attack against [04:50] any one of the three states shall be [04:52] regarded as an attack against them all." [04:54] a NATO article 5 style mutual defense [04:57] commitment. Pakistan's foreign ministry [05:00] said the pact was quote intended to [05:01] strengthen collective deterrence. So [05:04] what does each country bring to the [05:06] table? Turkey is a NATO member with [05:07] significant defense capabilities and a [05:09] powerful military. Pakistan brings [05:12] nuclear weapons, a battleh hardened [05:14] military, and significant munitions [05:16] capacity. And Saudi Arabia, well, they [05:18] bring enormous wealth and unmatched [05:20] influence across the Islamic world. What [05:23] makes this pact even more significant is [05:25] what it signals about the direction [05:26] these countries are heading. Saudi [05:28] Arabia may pull back from pursuing [05:30] normalization with Israel and a [05:32] strategic partnership with the United [05:33] States. Turkey may reconsider its NATO [05:36] membership altogether and Pakistan may [05:38] soon lose or abandon its non-NATO ally [05:41] status. In short, this may represent the [05:44] end of these nations partnerships with [05:46] the Western world. And that raises the [05:48] most important question of all. How [05:51] dangerous is this for Israel and the [05:53] United States or the rest of the free [05:55] world? Consider this. Pakistani Defense [05:58] Minister Quayaja Aif made his intentions [06:01] crystal clear following the signing of [06:03] the pack. Quote, "The Islamic world must [06:06] unite to confront the common threat [06:07] posed by Israel. Israel poses a threat [06:10] to all of us. Islamic countries must [06:12] adopt a coordinated approach to address [06:14] this threat." Earlier this year, the [06:16] same minister called Israel evil, a [06:19] curse for humanity, and a cancerous [06:21] state. At the same time, Turkish Foreign [06:24] Minister Hakan Fedan was careful to [06:26] emphasize that this agreement was not [06:28] directed at Iran, which is kind of weird [06:31] because that's what you would think this [06:33] defense agreement would be about. [06:35] Pakistan's foreign minister also [06:36] insisted the agreement was quote purely [06:39] defensive in nature and open to other [06:41] nations who wish to join. Don't be [06:43] fooled by the diplomatic language. The [06:46] Pakistani defense minister already told [06:48] you everything you need to know about [06:51] the pact. And there are already rumors [06:53] of other countries joining in, [06:54] specifically Qatar and Egypt, both of [06:56] whom have a deeply troubled relationship [06:59] with Israel. Qatar owns and operates [07:01] Alazer, one of the most blatantly [07:03] anti-Israel, anti-western media networks [07:05] on the planet, and hosted Kamas's [07:08] leadership for years until very [07:10] recently. Egypt, while technically still [07:13] holding a peace agreement with Israel, [07:14] has allowed hundreds of smuggling [07:16] tunnels from its territory into Gaza. [07:18] They've done very little to stop Kamas [07:21] from importing and exporting terrorism [07:22] through the Sinai. And in the past year [07:24] or two, there has begun to be a massive [07:26] military buildup on Israel's southern [07:28] border. That should concern all of us. [07:31] And one more thing that cannot be [07:32] overlooked. This pact was signed in [07:35] Mecca, Islam's holiest site. That's not [07:38] an accident. The symbolic weight of [07:40] signing a mutual defense agreement in [07:42] the holiest city in the Islamic world [07:43] sends a clear message about the [07:45] religious and ideological nature of this [07:47] alliance. If more Muslim nations join, [07:50] the implications grow exponentially. All [07:53] of this is deeply troubling for Israel, [07:55] America, and the free world. And it [07:57] brings to mind a passage written over [07:59] 3,000 years ago in Psalm 83. For behold, [08:03] your enemies make an uproar. Those who [08:05] hate you have raised their heads. They [08:07] lay crafty plans against your people. [08:09] They consult together against your [08:11] treasured ones. They say, "Come, let us [08:13] wipe them out as a nation. Let the name [08:14] of Israel be remembered no more." For [08:17] they conspire with one accord. Against [08:19] you they make a covenant, the tents of [08:20] Adome, the Ishelites, Moab, and the [08:23] Hagrites, Gibbal, and Ammon, and [08:25] Amalcch, Felistia with the inhabitants [08:27] of Ty. Asher also has joined with them. [08:30] They are the strong arm of the children [08:31] of Lot. Let them be put to shame and [08:34] dismayed forever. Let them perish in [08:36] disgrace that they may know that you [08:38] alone, whose name is the Lord, are the [08:40] most high over all the earth." A defense [08:43] pact signed in Mecca 3 days ago by three [08:45] of the most powerful Muslim nations in [08:47] the world with language explicitly [08:50] framing Israel as the common threat. [08:52] 3,000 years later, and the psalm reads, [08:54] "Like today's news."
