Transcript [00:00] All right, folks. Esher here. CBS [00:02] reached out to me a few weeks ago. They [00:04] said they want to go to the hilltops. I [00:06] said, I don't have time. Let me connect [00:08] you with my good friend Byamin Morai [00:10] Minster. Now, the guy that reached out [00:11] to me was really nice and I thought that [00:13] CBS was under new management, Barry [00:15] Weiss. She's come in. She's got truth. [00:18] She's going to take it to the right. But [00:20] instead, they came out with a sick blood [00:22] liel. The new blood liel is Jews are [00:25] using sheep to excise Palestinians from [00:30] their land. Morai, uh, thank you so much [00:32] for joining me. Let's watch before you [00:35] you tell us what happened, let's watch [00:36] one of the clips that they that CBS put [00:39] out, uh, on Instagram explaining their [00:42] [snorts] their their newly researched [00:44] documentary. Check this out. [00:47] >> This is a biblical story. You have two [00:49] populations, Jewish and Arab, the [00:52] descendants of Abraham's sons, Isaac and [00:54] Ishmael, fighting over ancestral lands. [00:58] But with all of today's high-tech [01:00] warcraft, AI, drones, supersonic [01:03] missiles, the weapons they're using here [01:06] are sticks and stones, and sheep. [01:11] >> Sheep are amazing. They're dumb, but [01:12] they're amazing creatures. [01:15] Mortai Minster co-founded this sheep [01:18] farm. It's a new kind of settlement here [01:21] in the West Bank from where his herd is [01:23] driven deeper and deeper into the [01:26] surrounding Palestinian communities. [01:29] So the idea is you send your sheep down [01:32] to graze and then you can say that's my [01:35] land because my sheep are grazing on it. [01:38] >> When you have sheep, everyone [01:39] understands. Arabs tend to fight over [01:43] grazing lands among themselves. It's a [01:45] language that we understand, they [01:47] understand, and it's a way to delineate [01:49] the border. This is where I graze my [01:50] sheep. You don't take your sheep here. [01:52] You don't plant here. You don't build [01:53] here. [01:54] >> The sheep have taken over huge swaths of [01:57] land, 20% of the West Bank. In one [02:01] Palestinian village after the next, [02:03] herds from these farms have pressed in [02:06] and the village shepherds pushed out. [02:09] the mayor of Burka [02:11] >> and they actually seized the land with [02:14] the their sheep. [02:16] >> The settlers even push sheep into [02:18] people's homes. A teacher in El Muhare, [02:22] >> they enter, they open the gate of the [02:24] house and take the sheep inside to eat [02:27] the trees around that house. [02:30] >> Some 200 sheep farms have popped up in [02:33] recent years, changing something [02:35] fundamental. For decades, Jewish [02:37] settlers have put up fences to protect [02:40] themselves from the active threat of [02:42] Palestinian terrorism. Now, it's the [02:45] Palestinians who are penning themselves [02:47] in. [02:48] >> Okay. Uh yeah, it seems to me like this [02:51] is quite the blood liel. And also, check [02:54] out this tweet by uh former ambassador [02:58] David Freriedman who put out a message [03:01] to CBS saying 60 Minutes, you've been a [03:03] liar for a long time. You're lying once [03:05] again, [03:07] >> Morai. [03:07] >> So, first of all, go ahead, tell me what [03:08] happened. [03:09] >> Thanks for having me on, Ishai. I've [03:10] been watching your show for a long time, [03:12] as you know, and we're friends in our [03:13] personal lives. Um, CBS reached out to [03:16] me there, as you said, they were [03:17] extremely nice. They were very cordial. [03:19] They were telling me that uh we're going [03:21] to do a full show. We're going to speak [03:23] to you for an hour. We're going to run [03:25] about 20 minutes of you explaining the [03:27] ideology and the and the justification [03:30] for the Hilltop movement from your [03:31] perspective. And it's not going to be [03:33] slanted, [03:33] >> right? And I believe them because as you [03:36] said, I read about Barry Weiss uh being [03:38] in charge and also the guy who spoke to [03:40] me spoke good Hebrew. He was extremely [03:42] nice. He seemed very forthcoming. He [03:44] said, "I'm not a Hilltop fan, but I want [03:46] we want to hear your perspective. It's [03:47] going to be the first time in the world [03:49] that where your perspective is being [03:51] allowed to air instead of that [03:52] happening." [03:53] >> Wait, wait. So they told you straight [03:54] out that they're going to air out your [03:56] perspective that the world's going to [03:58] understand why Barry Weiss, right, and [04:01] and that whole team the 60 minutes [04:03] they're going to actually explain with [04:04] you what we're trying to do, [04:06] >> right? What it's all about. [04:07] >> And it wasn't he didn't say we're going [04:08] to defend you. He didn't say we're going [04:10] to help you, but we're going to allow [04:11] you to speak. [04:12] >> And they they told me and when I spoke [04:14] to them, I just got to say Leslie was [04:16] very nice as well. Several times she had [04:17] to speak to her handlers because she [04:19] didn't have what to respond to what I [04:21] was saying. And uh we spoke for over an [04:24] hour and we spoke about everything. [04:25] >> That means you sat with like a really [04:27] famous person. She's one of the most [04:29] recognizable uh people. [04:30] >> My mom was very proud. [04:31] >> Right. Right. So you got on 60 Minutes. [04:33] Yeah. [04:34] >> You got on 60 Minutes. That's like a big [04:35] deal. That's like a That's like a [04:37] >> I haven't watched TV in 20 years. So I [04:39] [laughter] kind of It's as lost on me. [04:41] My whole family had a a watch party for [04:42] it. [04:43] >> Needless to say, it's a worldrenowned [04:44] television show. It's a big deal. and [04:46] you got on 60 Minutes with uh Leslie and [04:50] and you got a chance to really lay out [04:53] your Mishna's dua, your your your Torah, [04:55] your way of thinking about why Jews are [04:57] living in Judea. [04:58] >> And unfortunately, none of that was ear. [05:00] >> What they did ear was all sorts of well [05:03] curated uh well-prepared and provoked um [05:08] expressions of delinquent behavior or or [05:11] or fights of local local people and so [05:14] on. And it became really um like kind of [05:17] like superficial and I guess catchy for [05:21] Instagram, but it wasn't an in-depth [05:23] interview of what we're doing there. [05:25] >> You're being really really nice. [05:28] >> I think it was much worse than that. [05:30] >> You're looking at Yeah. Well, [05:31] >> it it was a hit piece. [05:32] >> It was absolutely a hit piece on us. [05:34] >> It was a hit piece as on a movement. And [05:36] the new blood liel was that Jews the [05:39] basic assess the basic [05:40] >> were using sheep to kick Arabs out of [05:42] their land. Now, I want to clear [05:43] something up. I did say that we're [05:45] shepherds because we live in this land [05:46] and our ancestors were shepherds and [05:48] this is very natural for us in that [05:50] environment to be shepherds. There's no [05:52] reason not not to be shepherds in Israel [05:54] like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were. And [05:56] I also mentioned that since the time of [05:58] Abraham grazing sheep as you know [06:01] between Abraham and Lot is a way of [06:03] delineating borders and it doesn't mean [06:06] that we're kicking them out of their [06:07] land. The entire hill that we live is [06:10] state land. It was land that was [06:11] purchased by the JNF for the purpose of [06:13] Israel li Jews living there even bigger [06:16] than the state of Israel. It's not some [06:18] political thing. It's it's money that [06:20] was set aside for Jews to buy land over [06:23] a 100 years ago. And I'm exercising that [06:26] right. And I'm doing it at great [06:28] personal cost. You've seen my home. You [06:30] see how we live. We live off-rid. We're [06:32] we're completely sustainable. We eat [06:34] meat that we grow. We eat vegetables [06:36] that we grow. And land that when we came [06:37] there was desert. Nothing was growing [06:39] there at all. Right. And uh that was [06:41] what I was explaining and they're [06:42] turning it as if I'm me and my friends [06:45] and me and my students and other [06:46] families that are there were coming to [06:48] displace locals from their land which is [06:50] something we're completely against. We [06:52] never violate someone's private property [06:55] unless that person is stealing strategic [06:59] or historic land actually belongs to the [07:02] Jewish people. [07:02] >> Well, we are holding on to the land [07:04] though, right? There is a there is a [07:06] battle you are where the will be. Yeah. [07:09] We're fighting for where the future [07:10] border will be. That being said, um [07:12] we're being portrayed as people who [07:15] don't respect people's property rights [07:16] and that's completely lielist. [07:18] >> Right. Well, right. The the the idea is [07:20] that you know, you're out there in an [07:22] offensive war where in fact you're in a [07:25] defensive war holding on to the Jewish [07:28] land and to the land of Israel in [07:30] general uh from an encroachment, a [07:32] jihadist encroachment. And yes, you're [07:35] using sheep. [07:36] >> Sheep is part of our lifestyle. And and [07:38] here's another point that it's it's so [07:40] easily missed. You can get hours of [07:42] footage of youngsters getting into [07:45] fisticuffs in the hilltops. But what [07:48] about the all the terrorist attacks that [07:50] people are getting killed, the car [07:51] robbing attacks, the shootings, the that [07:53] happens on a on a sometimes daily, [07:55] sometimes weekly basis. And none of [07:58] that's coming from our side. That's [07:59] we're victims of that. But then when [08:01] some of our kids react to that by [08:04] getting into a fist fight with someone [08:06] in a provocation that gets recorded and [08:08] that that gets told as the entire story, [08:10] >> right? Well, many years ago, uh our [08:12] mutual friend, Rabbi Yehuda Cohen, [08:14] >> yes [08:14] >> Yehuda Haken told me years ago [08:16] something. He [clears throat] said, [08:18] "Never tell them the media that there's [08:20] no violence." Tell them that's what [08:23] happens when you provoke us, when you [08:24] fight with us, we push back. We are also [08:26] Middle Easterners. [08:27] >> Yeah. we belong here and if we're [08:29] attacked, we'll respond. [08:31] >> And and and and he's right about that. [08:33] You also said that in the interview. You [08:34] had a great line, I thought, which you [08:36] said, she's like, "Is there violence?" [08:37] And you're like, "Yeah, there is [08:38] violence out there, [08:40] >> but that doesn't get rid of [08:42] >> doesn't change anything about our [08:44] ancestral rights, right? [08:46] >> We're indigenous to this land. We're [08:47] ancestral people. This is where we [08:49] live." And you know what? You know what? [08:50] Everywhere in the Middle East, [08:52] >> different tribes and different ethnic [08:54] religious groups have disputes over land [08:56] and resources. This is no different. And [08:58] to look at that, if you just look at us [08:59] and look at how we look and look at how [09:01] we act, we're part of this land. We [09:03] belong here. And if you want to [09:05] interfere [09:07] specifically on this little tribal [09:09] dispute, at least learn the facts, [09:11] >> right? [09:12] >> Right. It it's it's more than learn the [09:14] facts. You you keep on being really [09:15] nice. That was a piece that took the [09:18] interviews and shifted the whole [09:21] narrative. Instead of talking about the [09:23] aggression of the Palestinian Authority, [09:26] the European partners trying to help the [09:28] Palestinian Authority steal land, [09:30] including in area, including in area, [09:32] the violence daily perpetuated violence [09:36] against Jews, [09:37] >> uh [snorts] the daily effort to stop us, [09:39] the European pressure and us giving away [09:41] our land through diplomatic means, the [09:44] loss of our land through the Oslo [09:45] process and the disengagement, and then [09:48] our efforts in the last four years to [09:50] retake [09:51] at least Israeli land, some of it, [09:54] right? [09:54] >> Part of it that we managed to retake [09:56] >> push back that land takeover [09:58] >> that gets treated as the biggest war [09:59] crime in the world, [10:00] >> right? And uh and so that um uh and you [10:04] know what? I want to play a little [10:05] segment here, a humorous segment. Uh [10:07] Ammy Kak, a great humorist and satist uh [10:11] of today's news uh has a clip about a [10:15] British uh the British reaction uh to [10:19] atrocities around the world and then the [10:22] reaction to uh a Jew uh building a [10:26] balcony or or an extra room or a music [10:29] room. Check this out. [10:30] >> Problematic. [10:31] >> Keeping hostages, torturing them, hiding [10:33] among civilians, committing to doing [10:34] this again. [10:35] >> Oh, I certainly don't. fully agree with [10:38] those tactics. [10:39] >> And what about the Iranian regime [10:40] killing tens of thousands of protesters [10:42] in the streets? [10:43] >> Well, we need to further investigate to [10:44] verify those numbers. [10:46] >> Okay. And any thoughts on the Israeli [10:47] settler who just built a new home? [10:52] >> I know [laughter] [10:53] it's hard to hear it. Brand new kitchen [10:55] and bathroom, too. I'm afraid so. [10:59] Rumors are they might be redoing the [11:00] school as well [11:03] and putting in a playground. [11:04] >> Disgusting. And the world turns a blind [11:06] eye. [11:06] >> Shame. Shame. [11:08] >> A new hospital. A music center. [11:10] >> Stop. [11:11] >> A university. [11:12] >> Stop. I can't. [11:13] >> It's all been approved. [11:15] >> Monsters. [11:16] >> All right. That's a real good one, Amy. [11:17] Very good. And very very true. Uh, so I [11:20] was I was really, you know, it really, [11:23] you know, if they if they want to sew [11:25] distrust between us in the media, they [11:28] succeeded. I mean, it was really broke [11:30] my heart and frankly a little bit. I was [11:32] disappointed in myself because I had a [11:35] hand in in this in in bringing them to [11:37] you. But you did a great job uh on this [11:39] video and I think that that uh and I [11:42] told you you got to send out that video [11:43] to all your supporters. They got to see [11:45] that you're out there holding on to the [11:46] land. Uh there was also some critiques [11:48] of some of the answers that you gave. Uh [11:50] we'll talk about that in a second. [11:52] Before I get to the critiques of some of [11:54] the answers that you gave, um I think [11:58] it's important to realize that we're [11:59] really facing a bismerchment [12:01] >> onslaught [12:02] >> onslaught [12:03] >> from all over the world. Every YouTuber [12:05] and his nephew shows up in Israel, [12:07] starts an argument with some hilltop [12:09] youth who are sitting around and records [12:10] it, gets a few million views and goes [12:13] home. This is like that that's an [12:15] economy that a new economy [laughter] [12:17] that we have, the new product, you know. [12:20] >> That's really funny. But the boy cutting [12:22] the boy cutting the West Bank. But the [12:23] West Bank is producing media forever. [12:25] >> That's right. Exactly. Uh that's a great [12:27] point. But there were some uh there were [12:29] some uh critiques about some of the [12:31] stuff that you said. Let's talk about [12:32] that a little bit. [12:33] >> Okay. So there were many critiques. [12:35] First critique was [12:37] >> do not talk to the media, the leftist [12:39] media at all. Just talk to your friends. [12:41] Right. [12:41] >> Right. [12:42] >> I believe in talking to everyone, [12:44] >> but this was a bit of a disappointment [12:46] for me. I don't know in the future what [12:48] I'm going to do, but that was one [12:49] critique that I need to process. Right. [12:50] Don't talk to left. [12:51] >> I just want you to know. [12:53] >> Well, I want you to know that 60 Minutes [12:55] uh has been turning to me about campaign [12:57] issues and I wrote to them yesterday [13:00] saying I just want you to know that [13:02] that's off. [13:03] >> I said to them, I'm not I'm not going to [13:04] help you uh through reaching Ben. [13:06] >> That's your recommendation. That's your [13:08] recommendation. [13:08] >> Well, with regarding when when somebody [13:10] disappoints you, you put it in your [13:11] contacts. I can't work with this. We [13:14] can't trust this guy. He he played you. [13:16] He played me. They played us and they [13:18] faked us out. Again, I want to I want to [13:20] make it clear this video, the real [13:22] person that I want to see this video is [13:24] Barry Weiss. Barry, this was a very [13:27] disappointing uh result. It was not [13:30] true. And and I want to say this, this [13:31] is a little bit more sophisticated, but [13:33] it's important to understand this. [13:35] [snorts] [13:35] >> What what CBS 60 Minutes put out against [13:38] the Jews of Judea and Samaria is in the [13:41] end aiding and embedding the jihad, [13:44] which is in the end west. Exactly. It's [13:48] anti-America. It's taking over your [13:51] cities. It's turning blue states into [13:53] what I call green states, okay? Jihad [13:55] states. And so when you use CBS, when [13:58] your team went against Jews of Judea, [14:02] you are inadvertently [14:04] >> weakening your own cause. weakening your [14:05] own cause and backing the access of [14:09] Iran, China, Russia, Qatar, Turkey, and [14:13] and weakening the old access, the weak [14:17] access of the United States, England, [14:19] France, and you know the the Israel, [14:22] that access is is being broken. And and [14:25] Barry Weiss, you are at fault here uh [14:28] for allowing such and it wasn't just one [14:31] video. They kept putting it out through [14:32] Instagram, Instagram. You had an [14:34] opportunity Barry and all the rest of [14:36] you guys even as media people to be the [14:39] only media group in the world to show [14:41] our perspective. You can say after that [14:43] we disagree. It would have gotten you [14:45] more views. Why do you need to do what [14:47] everyone else is doing and dumping on us [14:50] when you could have shown our [14:51] perspective from a completely um uh [14:54] neutral standpoint which no one has yet [14:56] done. Right. [14:57] >> Right. which is what the Jews are back [14:58] in their tiny little land and they're [15:00] facing off against the jihad and holding [15:03] on to our land and not allowing our [15:04] cities to be taken over like Paris. [15:06] Okay. Exactly. Uh so that's that. But [15:08] there was another critique uh that you [15:10] faced as well. [15:11] >> So the there were many critiques. I'm [15:12] going to mention the ones that I thought [15:13] had merit. Uh one of the critiques was I [15:16] should not have um stated that we're [15:19] using sheep as a tool because that's one [15:22] not exactly true and two it's not [15:25] helpful. It's not exactly true because [15:27] raising sheep on this land is what our [15:29] ancestors have done. We read it in the [15:31] Torah this week and next week for the [15:33] next month we're going to be reading [15:35] about our [15:36] sheep hurting sheep hurting ancestors. [15:39] And it's something that we're supposed [15:40] to do in this land. And part of coming [15:42] back to Israel is not just uh high-tech [15:45] towers and uh media and economy. part of [15:49] it. Yeah. And AI, which is all great for [15:52] those of you who are into that kind of [15:53] thing, but it's also going back to our [15:56] our ancestral ways and doing subsistence [15:58] farming and living simply off-rid on the [16:01] land and just connecting to our actual [16:03] physical roots. And that's like the core [16:05] of what we're doing here. So, and [16:07] instead of that's was one critique, and [16:09] I accepted that critique, guys, you were [16:10] right. I'm going to change in the future [16:12] how I present this issue. The other [16:14] critique was um what I said about um [16:19] what I said about some of our youth [16:21] being uh being uh delinquents. And I was [16:25] told, listen, there's delinquents [16:26] everywhere. There's violence everywhere. [16:28] If you compare this to violence anywhere [16:30] in the world or anywhere in the Middle [16:31] East, it's nothing. It's traps. Now, [16:33] it's not nice. It's not aesthetic to [16:35] watch. And of course, we should be uh [16:37] reigning in those of us who are out of [16:39] control. Just like every other parent [16:41] and every other group in the world, you [16:43] have look at you mentioned Paris. You [16:45] have young people in Paris burning down [16:47] churches, right? Beating up people, [16:49] cops, citizens on the street and and now [16:51] that and now like everyone's talking [16:53] about what's happening over here. True. [16:55] But it's not like we should be on the [16:57] offensive and we should point out as we [16:59] did in this interview conversation that [17:01] we're having that uh where's the [17:04] condemnation? Where's the attention [17:06] given to the non-stop murderous attempts [17:09] against civilians in the West Bank? [17:10] >> Right. Judan Samir. Um I I I think I [17:14] would add to that also that uh the [17:17] question of the obsession of the media [17:21] uh about what Israel is doing. Uh it's [17:23] it's an obsessive [17:25] irrational [17:26] >> What do you think it's from? [17:28] Well, I just made a video about it and [17:30] and I think it's because we're in a [17:31] process of rebalancing [17:34] the uh the nations of the world are [17:38] coming to grips with the return of the [17:40] Jewish people to Zion. We're leaving [17:42] them and coming into our land and the [17:44] relationship between us and the nations, [17:47] God and the nations is changing right [17:49] now. And there is like a teenager like [17:51] you know hormonal reaction to this [17:53] change that's happening [17:54] >> chaos chaotic uh [17:57] >> stereo right it's hard for them to [17:59] process what this is about the [18:01] revelation of God is tough for the Jews [18:05] tough for the Muslims tough for the [18:07] Christians tough for the secular [18:09] materialists it's it's a big challenge [18:11] and so there's this this but you know [18:13] what at the same time only about 1500 km [18:15] from here there's basically a triangle [18:18] of human crisis, Sudan, South Sudan, in [18:21] Yemen, in which collectively, right, [18:23] we're talking about 30 to 60 million and [18:26] millions and millions of children that [18:28] are starving and dying and being killed [18:29] in in sectarian violence and nobody [18:32] gives a damn no [18:33] >> about it. Not interesting. [18:34] >> So, so, so to help them like like return [18:36] to consciousness. Actually, I saw an [18:39] incredible video by Mati Freriedman, [18:42] Israeli journalist, explaining this lack [18:45] of of of balance and lack of proportion [18:48] of international uh focus on Israel. Uh [18:52] you know, it's it's really there's a [18:53] there's a obsession that's happening out [18:56] there in the world and this CBS uh this [18:58] CBS uh video uh and expression of that. [19:02] >> Yeah. Is an expression of that. Let's [19:03] check out Monty Friedman because I think [19:04] it's very strong what he said. Check [19:05] this out. If the news is meant to be a [19:08] rational analysis of events on planet [19:10] earth, you cannot cover Israel more than [19:13] you cover the continent of Africa. The [19:15] world's largest organization had its [19:17] largest international bureau in the [19:19] state of Israel, which is a very small [19:21] sto a very small country, very small [19:24] conflict in in numeric terms and it [19:26] definitely occupies a place in the [19:28] American political imagination that is [19:29] not um comp comparable to any other [19:32] international conflict. So that's one [19:34] part of the problem. The other part was [19:36] the context. The coverage of Israel is [19:38] framed as an Israeli Palestinian [19:41] conflict. So at the AP bureau in [19:43] Jerusalem, every single day we had to [19:44] write a story that was called in the [19:46] jargon of the bureau is pals Israelis [19:49] Palestinians. And it was the daily rap [19:51] of the Israeli Palestinian conflict. So [19:54] what Netanyahu said, what Abbas said, [19:56] rockets, settlers, Hamas, the problem is [19:59] that there isn't an Israeli Palestinian [20:01] conflict. [20:02] And I know that sounds crazy because [20:04] everyone thinks there isn't. Of course, [20:05] we're seeing the conflict play out in [20:07] tragic um in the most tragic way right [20:10] now in Gaza, but most of Israel's wars [20:13] have not been fought against [20:15] Palestinians. [20:16] Israel has unfortunately fought wars [20:18] against Egyptians and Jordanians and [20:20] Lebanese and Iraqis. And Israel's most [20:24] important enemy at the moment is Iran. [20:26] Right? The Iranians are not Palestinian. [20:29] Um the Iranians are not Arab. They're [20:31] Muslim, but they're not Arab. So clearly [20:32] there is a broader regional conflict [20:34] that's going on that is not an Israeli [20:36] Palestinian conflict. And we've seen it [20:37] in the past year. If we had a satellite [20:40] in space looking down and just following [20:42] the the paths of ballistic missiles and [20:45] rockets fired at Israel, we'd see [20:47] rockets being fired from Iraq and from [20:49] Yemen and from Lebanon and from Gaza and [20:51] from Iran. You'd see the contours of a [20:54] regional conflict. There are in the Arab [20:56] world 300 million people, almost all of [20:59] them Muslim. And in one corner of that [21:01] world, there are 7 million Jews who are [21:04] Israelis. And if we zoom out even [21:05] further to the level of the Islamic [21:06] world, we'll see that there are two [21:08] billion people in the Islamic world. [21:10] There's some argument about the numbers. [21:12] Um, but it's roughly a quarter of the [21:13] world's population. And in one corner of [21:15] that world, there there are 7 million [21:18] Israeli Jews. The entire Jewish [21:20] population on planet Earth is a lot [21:23] smaller than the population of Cairo. So [21:26] the idea that this is an Israeli [21:28] Palestinian conflict where Israelis are [21:30] the stronger side where Israelis are the [21:32] dominant actor and where Israelis are [21:34] let's face it the the bad guy in the [21:37] story that's a fictional presentation. [21:40] If you take a small story and make it [21:42] seem big, and if you take a complicated [21:44] regional story and you make it seem like [21:46] a very small local story involving only [21:49] Israelis and Palestinians, then you get [21:51] the portrayal of a villainous country [21:55] called Israel that really looms in the [21:57] liberal imagination of the West as an [21:59] embodiment of the worst possible [22:01] qualities of of the age. [22:03] >> All right. Uh, Binyamin Morai Minster [22:05] out on the Eton farms. There was one [22:07] more critique which I really wanted you [22:08] to deal with and that's Israel's [22:10] relations to the United States. [22:12] >> Oh yes, that was a big one. Okay. So the [22:15] big talk in in Zionist circles and in [22:18] America, right-wing circles is Israel's [22:20] relationship with the United States. And [22:22] I've said on the interview that I value [22:24] Israel's rel relationship with the [22:26] United States because I lived in America [22:28] for many years. I was born in Jerusalem, [22:30] but I lived in America. I'm an American [22:32] citizen and I loved America. It wasn't [22:34] my homeland, but it was a place that I [22:36] loved being. And I'm sure you had the [22:37] same experience. My experience with [22:39] Americans always has been positive. I [22:40] never felt anti-semitism. I never felt [22:42] discriminated against. I never felt [22:44] ripped off. It's a great country. It's [22:47] maybe my second homeland, one can say. [22:49] And it pains me on an emotional level to [22:51] think that that friendship, which is [22:53] expressed as an alliance, is suffering [22:55] or is endangered. Okay. Now, what I did [22:58] say in the interview was that if that [23:00] goes in that direction, that would be [23:02] terrible. would be tragic [23:03] >> meaning in the direction of what [23:05] >> of America and Israel not being [23:06] militarily and politically aligned [23:08] >> right separation of that alliance [23:10] >> separation of that alliance [23:11] >> America going more towards the [23:12] progressive jihadists red green alliance [23:16] what is now called by the way the red [23:18] green brown alliance red left communist [23:23] >> green Muslim [23:23] >> green jihadi not Muslim jihadi uh and [23:27] brown is like the brown shirts the [23:30] conservative right [23:31] >> gripers and so Roy Pers, Tuckers, those [23:34] kind of folks. [23:35] >> And so you're saying if America goes in [23:36] that direction, [23:37] >> if America goes in that direction, I [23:38] would be heartbroken for two reasons. [23:40] First of all, that would be the [23:41] harbinger of America self-destructing. [23:44] That would ruin America. That would be [23:45] the most uh regressive forms of [23:48] Americanism ganging up together that [23:50] would actually ruin America's culture, [23:52] ruin America's civilization, and ruin [23:54] America's economy. And America would not [23:55] be a superpower anymore. And then we and [23:57] I think America was a benevolent and [23:59] good superpower. for American [24:02] sovereignty and American supremacy in [24:04] the world. Now that that's going to be [24:06] gone, that would not be good for the [24:07] world. That's my opinion. I also think [24:09] that as a friend, you want your friend [24:12] to do well. Right now, I did say that as [24:15] an alliance, if we lose that alliance, [24:17] Israel, as any other country that loses [24:19] alliance, will find a substitute. But I [24:21] would, it would pain me. It would cause [24:22] me pain. My crit critics have said [24:24] that's a wrong approach to take because [24:28] you don't want to signal that we in the [24:30] hilltops do not value the USIsrael [24:33] alliance. That's that that so I want to [24:35] clarify. I very much uh value the [24:38] USIsrael alliance. Like I said, I think [24:40] it's good for the world. It's good for [24:42] Israel and most of all it's good for [24:44] America. [24:44] >> But you didn't say that. What you said [24:45] was what you said was you didn't diss [24:47] the USIsrael alliance. You said Israel [24:50] will survive. [24:51] >> Israel will survive if we lose that [24:52] alliance. Right. Exactly. I mean, is [24:54] that true? Yeah, it is true. [24:56] >> I stand by that. But I do not want you [24:58] to think from that that we don't need it [25:00] or we don't care about it. I care about [25:02] it because it's moral and it's just I [25:04] think America is a good country. It's a [25:06] moral country. It's a just country [25:08] compared to others. I think it's uh [25:10] beneficial for the for us, beneficial [25:13] for America, and beneficial for the [25:15] world. Should dark forces in the United [25:18] States bring America down and turn it [25:20] into a third world country that's [25:22] against Israel like all other third [25:24] world countries, I would be heartbroken [25:26] for the world and for America. But for [25:28] us, yes, I stand by the fact that I [25:30] think we would figure out how to [25:31] survive. We're not. [25:33] >> In short, you're saying we're not [25:34] dissing the US Israel alliance and we're [25:36] certainly not dissing the United States [25:37] as a as a a beacon of morality in the [25:40] world. [25:41] >> But you stand by what you said, which is [25:43] okay, Israel's got to keep going and [25:44] survive. have to survive. [25:46] >> The way I say that to people [25:48] >> and and again I agree very much with [25:50] what you said. I'm not looking for this [25:51] but I said to people if if the USIsrael [25:54] alliance breaks well in the early 1900s [25:58] uh we were in the Turkish sphere and [26:00] then we came into the British sphere [26:02] when the British turned on us [26:04] >> we went to the Soviet sphere [26:06] >> for [26:07] >> for short of time and then from the [26:09] Soviet sphere we went into the French [26:10] sphere. [26:11] >> Remember that [26:11] >> right? That was very important the break [26:13] then then French the mirage jets. And [26:16] when France turned on us, which they [26:17] did, they turned on us in the in the in [26:19] the in the after the six- day war, we [26:21] went into the United States sphere. [26:23] >> And the point is within a 100 years, we [26:25] went through five different spheres. All [26:26] I'm trying to say is Israel continues to [26:28] survive. I'm not calling for a change of [26:31] spheres. I'm just saying Israel knows [26:33] how to survive. Our our real sphere of [26:34] influence is Hashem, is God Almighty. [26:37] That's really what that's really the [26:38] strength. And I just want to add one [26:40] thing that from all the spheres that we [26:42] mentioned, okay, the American one in my [26:45] opinion, tell me if you disagree, was [26:47] the most heartfelt with our American [26:49] allies, it had to do with God. It had to [26:51] do with the Bible. It had to do with [26:53] morality and ethics. And it had to do [26:55] with not just geopolitical interest, but [26:58] steering the world in the direction of [27:00] good and away from the direction of [27:02] evil. And losing that would be a worse [27:04] world. [27:05] >> I agree with that. And and I want to [27:07] tell you, I want to give you a simple [27:09] line that my good friend Zev Ornstein [27:11] said and really changed my [27:13] understanding. He said, "It's incorrect [27:15] to think that Israel is the bastion of [27:18] Western liberal democracy in the Middle [27:20] East. It's much more correct to say that [27:22] the US is the bastion of biblical [27:25] Jerusalem values in the West." And when [27:28] he said that to me, I was like, "Aha." [27:30] That was a key moment for me to [27:31] understand that that relationship, which [27:32] is what you basically said in other [27:33] words, which is that's really what we [27:35] were about. We were about a union of [27:37] sending out morality to the world. If [27:39] the United States falls, God forbid, it [27:42] is bad for the world. Forget the [27:44] USIsrael alliance, forget that issue. [27:46] It's just bad for the world. I wouldn't [27:48] want to see illiberal access of China, [27:51] Russia, Qatar, Iran, Turkey controlling [27:54] this world because those states in their [27:57] current configuration, which could [27:58] change when when just leaders switch, [27:59] but in those current configurations, [28:01] they are illiberal. They are not for [28:02] freedom. Okay. Uh Binyam Morai Minster. [28:05] Uh you are a sheh uh on the [28:09] Jewish the Jewish uh uh uh on top of a [28:13] hill here in Ephra. Uh theam farms [28:18] overlooking [28:19] uh biblical Bethlehem. Uh birthplace of [28:22] King David. Uh burial place of the tomb [28:25] the tomb of Rachel, burial place of the [28:27] matriarch Rachel. And of course where [28:29] Ruth came uh to Israel from Moab. Such a [28:33] beautiful place, such a beautiful town. [28:35] Today, sadly ruled by the PA. Hopefully [28:37] that will be uh uh soon. [28:38] >> Would you inshallahem will get rid of [28:42] the PA uh from this land, this this [28:44] cursed PA who was a curse to the Arabs [28:46] and curse to the Jews. Uh and you are [28:49] holding on to that land biblically and [28:51] beautifully. Um they m the CBS missed a [28:55] point that we are uh a miracle people [28:58] returning to our land and that we are [28:59] hippies and that we are scholars and [29:02] that we're really here to love the land [29:03] and and love humanity and bring godly [29:07] progress uh to this to this region. They [29:09] missed that. But if you didn't miss it, [29:11] then please join us. You want to support [29:12] the Eton farms, it's easy.
