Transcript [00:00] What do you think of the current moment [00:01] in terms of President Trump and Israel? [00:03] >> We have to look at track record always [00:05] when it comes to talking about Israel, [00:07] how you address the Prime Minister of [00:09] Israel, the state of Israel. There's not [00:11] a reason to put some of the rants that [00:14] have been out there. It frightens the [00:16] evangelical community in the United [00:18] States when we see that cuz if you put [00:20] the MOU out there, you know, the [00:22] evangelical community's not going to be [00:24] aware of all that's in the MOU and [00:26] they're not going to care so deeply [00:27] about that as they are about President [00:30] Trump's attitude toward Israel. [00:32] >> Welcome to the Shoulder to Shoulder [00:33] podcast. I am Rabbi Pesach Wolicki. [00:35] Usually Pastor Doug is with me, but he [00:38] is on the road as you all know. He's [00:40] been on the road, you know, going around [00:42] with his family and preaching the gospel [00:45] of Israel as it were and talking talking [00:48] to church communities all over America [00:49] about about his family's adventure, [00:52] their journey to move to Israel that is [00:55] upcoming. [00:56] Now, we have a really important guest [00:58] with us. It's a Heather Johnston. I'll [01:00] read her bio soon. I'll introduce you to [01:01] her. She's a major figure in the in the [01:03] Christian Zionist pro-Israel American [01:05] space and it's going to be a great [01:07] conversation. But before we get to that, [01:09] please make sure that you are subscribed [01:11] to this podcast and that you are [01:13] connected with us on social media, that [01:15] you're following us on Facebook and make [01:17] sure you go over [01:18] if you're listening on audio, make sure [01:20] you check us out on YouTube. If you've [01:21] ever wanted to watch me and Doug with [01:24] only a few months ago, we started [01:25] uploading Shoulder to Shoulder to [01:27] YouTube and it's really taken off. Our [01:29] last episode [01:30] you know, kind of I don't know I don't [01:32] know if you'd call it going viral, but [01:33] it's hit somewhere around 85,000 views [01:35] last time I checked. It's really doing [01:37] very well on YouTube and that really [01:38] shows that there's a that there's a real [01:40] thirst for what we're doing here on the [01:42] Shoulder to Shoulder [01:43] podcast where a pastor and a rabbi get [01:46] to the heart of matters [01:48] of what matters to people of faith. [01:51] And we're of course very grateful for [01:53] our for our [01:54] for our sponsor Israel 365. Israel 365 [01:58] News is the place you should go for news [02:00] and analysis from Israel from a biblical [02:02] perspective. And make sure to check out [02:04] all the other offerings that Israel 365 [02:06] has. Their my columns are there. Pastor [02:08] Doug also writes for Israel 365 News. Make sure you [02:12] check out Israel 365 Action [02:14] where you really get a lot of my [02:16] content, video content, and analysis [02:18] about the political situation, and also [02:21] action alerts of what you can do to help [02:23] Israel as things come up. And [02:26] remember to go over to the Israel Truth [02:29] Network.org. The Israel Truth [02:31] Network.org. That's a fairly new [02:32] website. It was really inspired and [02:35] initially [02:37] sort of led by Charlie Kirk, my good [02:39] friend Charlie, when he wrote that [02:40] letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu [02:42] giving advice about what Israel could do [02:43] to retell it, you know, to tell its [02:44] story better. One of his major [02:46] suggestions in that famous letter is to [02:48] create a rapid response mechanism to [02:50] respond to lies about Israel with [02:52] well-sourced fact sheets and have an [02:54] archive of information about Israel. And [02:57] together with Charlie, under Charlie's [02:59] guidance, working with some of Charlie's [03:00] team actually together with people at [03:02] Israel 365, we started building this and [03:05] we recently launched it. So, go to the [03:07] Israel Truth Network.org. The Israel [03:09] Truth Network.org. Make sure to click [03:11] the the button in the top right and then [03:13] you'll get those action, you know, those [03:15] alerts so that when there's a lie told [03:17] about Israel in as real time as [03:19] possible, rapid response, you will get [03:21] all the ammunition you need to push [03:22] back. Go to the Israel Truth Network. [03:25] dot org. Now, [03:27] before we get to our guest, I just want [03:28] to comment on something that happened. [03:29] You know, last week here in Israel, Ami [03:32] Kozak, the comedian, and a lot of you [03:34] know who Ami is. Ami, he does a lot of [03:36] he does impressions. Like he does these [03:38] impressions of Tucker Carlson and [03:39] impressions of Candace Owens and [03:41] impressions of President Trump. And he's [03:43] he's a lot of political comedy, but he's [03:46] he's he's a fantastic comedian. He's [03:47] also a very [03:49] he's a very sharp thinker. If you go [03:52] over to Israel 365 News YouTube channel, [03:54] you'll see that about a week and a half [03:55] ago [03:56] uh um [03:58] uh it was about a week and a half ago I [04:00] did an interview with Ami. Uh that's up [04:02] there. It's a fantastic [04:04] uh it's a fantastic conversation about [04:06] what he's doing with his comedy. [04:08] And Israel 365 sponsored a couple shows [04:11] that he did in Israel when he was here [04:13] last week. [04:14] And um [04:16] one was in Jerusalem and was and was in [04:17] Tel Aviv. And because Israel 365 was [04:19] sponsoring it, I attended both shows. [04:21] They were great. I was worried it would [04:23] be the same comedy both nights. It [04:24] wasn't. It was fantastic. Uh I mean, it [04:27] was a lot of it was the same, but there [04:28] was enough differences that even someone [04:29] who watched the show twice was laughing. [04:32] But I just wanted to bring up a serious [04:33] point, which is that at one point when [04:36] when he decided to to do his [04:37] impersonation of President Trump and he [04:39] introduced that part of the of the of [04:41] the act, [04:43] and he asked the crowd, "So, what do we [04:44] think of President Trump?" [04:46] And in Israel, you could expect, [04:48] especially in a more conservative [04:50] audience, which is what who's who was at [04:52] these events, you would expect there to [04:53] be a standing ovation. You think about [04:55] everything President Trump has done for [04:57] Israel. [04:58] There's really been no greater friend of [05:00] Israel ever in the White House, moving [05:02] the embassy and taking out Soleimani and [05:04] everything that he did to, you know, to [05:06] restrict Iran in his first term and to [05:08] restrict the Palestinian Authority and, [05:10] you know, by cutting off, you know, [05:11] funding when they were because they were [05:13] funding terrorists. And everything we've [05:15] done everything he's done together with [05:17] Israel against Iran and and and and just [05:20] imagining the dystopia we'd be living in [05:22] if Kamala Harris was in the White House. [05:24] I mean, if you think about how grateful [05:26] we have to be for President Trump. The [05:27] fact that uh sometimes the moves that he [05:29] makes make us scratch our head or even [05:31] make us uncomfortable or even compromise [05:33] our security because of his [05:35] understanding of what's in America's [05:36] best interest and it's not in the same [05:37] as Israel's. I'm talking about this [05:39] recent MOU with Iran and and the and the [05:42] ceasefire and the way this is all gone. [05:43] There's a lot of Israelis, a lot of [05:45] people in Israel who have been who've [05:47] kind of felt like oh he's turned on us [05:48] and that's what I I so that's why I [05:50] wanted to highlight because when Ami [05:51] brought this up there wasn't a standing [05:54] ovation. There was a lot of [05:56] of discomfort in the room some silence [05:57] in the room. It's like people didn't [05:59] want to cheer for President Trump. And I [06:02] thought to myself like and and this [06:03] isn't coming from a place of like I'm [06:04] I'm I'm I'm defending President Trump's [06:07] honor. It's more a matter of of saying [06:09] we have to have [06:10] what it said to me was that there was a [06:11] lack of clarity and level-headedness in [06:15] our crowd and it's not healthy in the [06:17] pro-Israel community we tend to [06:18] overreact. When President Trump does [06:20] when when President Trump does something [06:22] we want oh he's Cyrus the Great. He's [06:24] the greatest thing ever he you know the [06:25] redemption is on the way and then when [06:27] he does something that we don't like [06:28] we're like oh my gosh he's betrayed us. [06:30] He's turning against Israel. [06:32] We have to keep a level head. We have to [06:34] keep the big picture clear before us. [06:37] Of course God is on the throne and and [06:39] the and the hearts of kings are in the [06:41] hands of the Lord. That's what the [06:43] that's what scripture tells us and that [06:44] is true about President Trump. It's true [06:46] about everyone in positions of power [06:47] that affect us. We have to be very [06:49] level-headed [06:51] about this. You know we see the Lebanon [06:53] agreement that was also coming out of [06:55] the Trump administration was a very [06:57] positive move. The story is far from [06:59] over. And and I think that it's it we [07:03] should not lose our sense of gratitude [07:05] for all the great things that President [07:06] Trump has done for Israel because there [07:09] are currently some some some tensions [07:12] and some disconnect between between [07:14] Israeli policy and American policy. [07:15] That's just my little sermon for the [07:18] audience so you know for this week. I'm [07:19] going to without further ado I'm going [07:21] to I'm going to bring in our our guest [07:23] but let me just you know pull up her [07:24] bio. She's someone I've wanted to talk [07:26] to you know for quite some time. [07:29] She plays a very important role in the [07:31] Christian Zionist movement. Heather [07:32] Johnston is the founder and president of [07:35] the US Israel Education Association [07:38] which educates senior US policy makers [07:41] on Israel's strategic, security, and [07:44] geopolitical landscape. For more than a [07:46] decade, she has led congressional [07:48] delegations to Israel for senior members [07:50] of Congress and key committee staff. In [07:53] Washington, she regularly briefs [07:56] lawmakers and senior staff on Israel's [07:58] strategic and security challenges. [08:00] Heather also founded Israel's National [08:02] Leadership Center in the city of Ariel, [08:05] developed that's in Samaria, developed [08:07] in close coordination with Israel's [08:10] Ministry of Education. Since 2010, the [08:12] center has trained more than 120,000 [08:15] Israelis, including Jewish and Arab [08:17] youth and all branches of the Israel [08:18] Defense Forces. We're going to hear more [08:20] about that in this conversation. With [08:22] more than 25 years of experience working [08:24] in and on Israel, Heather is a [08:27] recognized authority on Jewish-Christian [08:28] relations and modern Israel's biblical [08:31] and historical context. She is the [08:32] author [08:34] of Uncommon Favor and a frequent speaker [08:37] to policy, faith, and philanthropic [08:39] audiences. She studied communications [08:41] and journalism at Auburn University and [08:43] earned a Master of Theology from Beeson [08:45] Divinity School. I usually don't read [08:46] the education, but I'm reading it [08:48] because I love Beeson Divinity School. [08:49] I've spoken there a couple of times. I [08:51] have some friends who are on the faculty [08:53] there, Grant Taylor, Mark Jenalett. I [08:55] don't know if they listen to this [08:55] podcast. And Jerry McDermott, who's been [08:57] on this podcast, used to be there, used [08:59] to used to have a senior position there. [09:01] Uh so, I've been to Beeson a number of [09:03] times. She lives in Birmingham, Alabama [09:05] with her husband Bruce. Together, they [09:06] have two children and four [09:09] grandchildren. And without further ado, [09:11] Heather Johnson, welcome to the Shoulder [09:12] to Shoulder podcast. [09:14] >> Great to be with you today. [09:17] >> So, Heather, you heard my tee up what I [09:19] was talking about President Trump and [09:20] where things are now, and we're going to [09:22] get into all of that. But just maybe you [09:24] want to comment on that before we get [09:25] into your personal story and letting our [09:27] audience know who you are. What do you [09:29] What do you think of the current of the [09:30] current moment in terms of President [09:32] Trump and Israel? [09:34] >> Well, I think um I think you're very [09:36] gratuitous and um, I'm in agreement with [09:39] you. We have to look at track record [09:41] always. Um, but I also have encouraged [09:46] um, those around him just to lower the [09:48] rhetoric when it comes to talking about [09:51] Israel, how you address the Prime [09:52] Minister of Israel, the state of Israel. [09:54] There's not a reason to um, to uh, [10:00] put some of the rants that have been out [10:02] there. Um, it frightens quite frankly it [10:05] frightens it frightens the evangelical [10:06] community in the United States when we [10:08] see that cuz if you put the MOU out [10:10] there, you know, the evangelical [10:12] community is not going to be super super [10:15] aware of all that's in the MOU and [10:17] they're not going to care so deeply [10:18] about that as they are about President [10:21] Trump's attitude toward Israel. And when [10:24] you start to see that shift for weeks at [10:26] a time, that becomes concerning. So, I I [10:29] completely agree with you. I just think [10:31] there's problems with it and so I think [10:35] some of that's being addressed. [10:37] >> All right, that's fair enough and and [10:39] then we'll get into that more in a [10:40] little bit. But let's I want I want the [10:43] audience the shoulder-to-shoulder [10:44] audience to get to know you and your [10:45] important work and you know, it's [10:47] actually amazing to me that [10:50] although one very very brief meeting I [10:52] didn't I mean it was so brief that I I I [10:54] had a vague idea of what you even looked [10:55] like before you before you sent me your [10:57] bio and your photo, but I I know that we [10:59] did meet once many many years ago, but [11:00] just your position in the Christian [11:02] Zionist world and the work that I do [11:04] with Christian Zionists it's actually [11:05] kind of amazing to me that this is the [11:06] first time we're having a conversation, [11:08] but so be it. [11:10] Could you share with us I just read your [11:12] bio so everyone knows what you do more [11:14] or less, but could you share from a [11:15] personal level [11:18] it not there's not that many Christians [11:20] who are devoting their lives the way you [11:22] are to the US-Israel relationship. [11:25] What's the origin of that what what you [11:27] know, in terms of your upbringing, your [11:28] theology, how How it or or the or just [11:31] the story? How did you get into this [11:33] Israel space? [11:34] >> Yeah, well, it is it is quite a story [11:36] and um it should encourage everybody [11:39] because I think that um we are in such [11:42] an extraordinary time in Israel's [11:44] history [11:45] um that God made it very, very clear [11:48] that in those days and at that time when [11:51] I restore Israel, I am going to beckon [11:54] to the Gentiles. [11:56] I'm going to lift a banner to the [11:58] nations and they're going to carry you. [12:00] And he did not stop with just a large [12:03] sort of a casting out um a throwing out [12:06] of that net like I'm going to, you know, [12:08] draw, you know, everybody to you. He [12:10] also hand-picks people and I felt like [12:13] we were hand-picked to um step into this [12:17] journey for a lifetime um and we started [12:20] 27 years ago. Um we got involved back in [12:23] the 1990s [12:25] um when um there was this mass aliyah of [12:29] Jews coming in from the Soviet Union and [12:31] really from around the world and we um [12:34] began to kind of understand for the very [12:36] first time [12:38] modern Israel inside of the biblical [12:40] history and prophecies up against the [12:43] eternal covenant with Abraham. [12:45] Um [12:46] Rabbi Willocky, I grew up, if you can [12:48] imagine, um in a Presbyterian church [12:51] that held to a covenant theology and a [12:54] real replacement supersessionism [12:56] that um really outdated Israel. Israel [12:59] was on the outside. Um the church had [13:02] completely replaced um Israel in God's [13:05] covenant and redemptive purposes. [13:07] Um and so you can imagine growing up in [13:11] that, but also growing up I did in a [13:13] very Jewish community. [13:15] So it was just um such a surreal thing [13:19] to finally understand and come to grips [13:21] with that there was a modern Israel [13:24] um where prophecies were being um [13:26] fulfilled and that there was a role for [13:28] the Gentiles to play in it. And that's [13:30] really, really what governed our [13:32] decision to step in at that time and to [13:34] stay with it. [13:36] >> Well, Heather, uh so [13:39] there's an elephant in the room that you [13:40] just created right now. Because on this [13:42] podcast we hear a lot of people's [13:44] personal journey stories and how they [13:45] got to where they are, especially in the [13:47] in the Israel space. And you just [13:49] mentioned that you were raised in a in a [13:51] replacement theology, ironclad [13:53] replacement theology Presbyterian. And [13:55] we all know what that looks like. We [13:56] talk about this topic a lot on this [13:58] podcast. Um [14:00] and then you said, "But then as these [14:01] events unfolded in the '90s, you were [14:03] seeing the prophecy come to life." [14:06] Now, usually people who are locked in on [14:08] replacement theology [14:10] um [14:10] are kind of blinded or dare I say have a [14:13] veil when it comes to seeing [14:16] uh the the prophecies of Israel being [14:17] fulfilled. It's almost that they're [14:18] taught not to see it. Let me just put it [14:20] a different way. [14:22] There's a whole lot more Christians out [14:23] there who didn't [14:25] connect the dots and see those [14:27] prophecies fulfilled. So, where did the [14:29] where did the switch, you know, what [14:31] flipped the switch for you on Israel? [14:33] Was it a visit to Israel and those Why [14:34] were you primed to see this correctly if [14:38] you had been raised with replacement [14:39] theology? You're There's a piece of the [14:41] puzzle that you're not telling us here. [14:42] >> I understand. I I like to create the [14:44] elephant in the room. Um [14:47] I understand there's a story that has to [14:49] be told. And so, I think it was two [14:51] things. Two things happened. One, uh [14:53] back in 1997, [14:55] um my husband and I did a 40-day fast. [14:58] And um it was really for the purpose of [15:00] just drawing as close as we could to God [15:03] to understand where our journey was [15:05] taking us. We had JH Ranch here in [15:08] California, this, you know, thousands of [15:10] acres here in the Pacific Northwest. We [15:12] were running small programs for parents [15:14] and teens and teenagers, but we just [15:16] knew there was more. And so, um we said [15:20] out [15:20] >> And at this point it was unconnected to [15:22] Israel. There was no [15:23] >> Totally unconnected. [15:24] >> Wasn't on your radar at all. [15:25] >> Replacement theology. [15:28] >> [laughter] [15:28] >> Okay. [15:29] >> And so, um we were in the course of that [15:31] fast inside the 30th day, [15:34] um I reached into um the oven to get [15:38] something out for our children to have [15:40] for breakfast, and I saw a vision of [15:43] Psalm 137:4-6. [15:46] Um Presbyterians don't typically see [15:48] visions. [15:49] Um I'm not sure that many people ever [15:52] see visions, anybody, but I did. [15:55] >> The spirit-filled Presbyterian, here we [15:57] are. [15:57] >> It stayed suspended before me, Psalm [15:59] 137:4-6, [16:01] and I went to go look it up and knew [16:03] God's presence was there with me. [16:05] And it said, "How can you sing the songs [16:08] of the Lord while you're standing in a [16:09] foreign land? If you forget Jerusalem, [16:12] may your right hand forget its skill. [16:14] May your tongue cling to the roof of [16:15] your mouth if you forget her. If you [16:17] don't keep Jerusalem your chief joy." [16:20] Now, of course, that passage is about [16:22] the Jews in exile in in Babylon, and [16:25] that very, very famous verse that I've [16:27] come to understand [16:29] Psalm 137:4-6, but believe you me, I had [16:32] not read that before with that intent. [16:35] Um and so, I just I I wrote it down in [16:38] my journal. I went before God and [16:40] started praying into it and saying, "I [16:41] don't know what this means because, you [16:43] know, I could only think of it in terms [16:45] through the lens that Israel had nothing [16:47] to do with any of this, that I was on [16:49] some sort of a spiritual journey to [16:52] a higher Jerusalem or [16:54] some sort of greater spiritual [16:55] experience, sort of like Harriet Tubman [16:58] when she was taking um the slaves across [17:01] the Mason-Dixon Line. You know, she kept [17:03] saying, "We're headed to Zion." And she [17:05] really drew on the biblical narrative [17:08] for her times. Well, [17:10] um [17:10] >> [snorts] [17:11] >> that's kind of what people do. They [17:13] replace Israel with themselves, and [17:15] that's fine. I mean, it's okay to a [17:16] certain but then if you only ever do [17:18] that, you miss Israel. [17:20] So, um at that time I didn't know, but [17:23] someone very, you know, very wonderful [17:25] scholar came into our life and helped us [17:27] understand modern Israel inside these [17:30] biblical prophecies. And I would [17:31] continue to wake up in the night, and [17:34] this is what I'm trying to tell you. [17:35] When I say that God is beckoning to the [17:37] Gentiles, he is hand-holding with some [17:40] of them. [17:41] He hand-held us by taking us to Isaiah, [17:45] Ezekiel, opening up the world of the Old [17:48] Testament prophecies that would be [17:51] fulfilled in modern times. And I think [17:54] that's really what grabbed us was God's [17:56] personal revelation to us by his Ruach [17:59] HaKodesh as we went into the scriptures. [18:03] And I think that's what changed [18:04] everything. Secondly, we made a trip in [18:06] 1997 [18:08] uh to Israel. That's where we met Mayor [18:10] Ron Nachman, and we set sail. He um was [18:14] the founding mayor um [18:16] of Samaria, really of the city of Ariel, [18:19] which is [18:20] up there. And we became very fast [18:22] friends. We helped build their radio [18:25] station, did a lot in that huge aliyah [18:28] of of Soviet Jews coming into Samaria. [18:31] Half the city of Ariel Russian Jews. [18:34] So, that's where we got involved. It all [18:37] began to make real sense, and I remember [18:40] standing in the Russian absorption [18:42] center. You'll love this story. And um [18:45] he we we were tired. We were jet-lagged. [18:48] It was the first trip to Israel. We were [18:49] trying to take everything in, and there [18:51] was a Russian choir singing there. [18:54] Um and they were singing in Russian, and [18:55] then they were singing in Hebrew, and [18:57] that was enough to make you go to sleep. [19:00] >> [laughter] [19:00] >> But the last song rang out, and it was [19:03] in English. And it was I come from [19:05] Alabama with a banjo on my knee. [19:08] And I can assure you I was the only [19:11] person from Alabama sitting in that room [19:13] that actually played the banjo. [19:16] I played Great [laughter] Down and [19:17] Orange Blossom Special and Paul and [19:19] Silas prayed in jail. And so that really [19:22] really those types of things and this is [19:25] what I'm trying to tell you and your [19:26] audience. God wants to speak to us. [19:30] He wants to meet us personally on the [19:33] issue of Israel. [19:35] And that is what he did for Bruce and I [19:36] and that is how we set sail and the [19:39] following day I was standing in in the [19:41] Jewish Jewish quarter outside of a store [19:45] and the the storekeeper came out with a [19:48] keeper on his head and he handed me this [19:50] ring and he said I'm I feel like I'm [19:52] supposed to give you this ring and I'm [19:53] like what? I'd never seen this person in [19:55] my entire life and it was a Hebrew [19:57] inscription and he said I just felt like [20:00] I was supposed to walk outside my store [20:02] and hand this to you. And it said and I [20:04] said what does it say and he said how [20:05] can you sing the songs of the Lord while [20:07] you're standing in a foreign land? [20:09] >> Wow. [20:10] >> If you forget Jerusalem, may your right [20:12] hand forget its skill and may your [20:13] tongue cling to the roof of your mouth [20:15] if you forget her. If you don't keep [20:17] Jerusalem your chief joy. [20:19] Well, I about slid down the wall. I kind [20:21] of poked him to see if he was an angel [20:23] but no he wasn't. It was just Moshe [20:25] Kempinski, the shop owner. [20:27] >> I know Moshe. [20:29] >> You can imagine how these types of [20:31] things sealed the fate for us to take [20:34] Israel on for a lifetime. [20:36] >> Well, first of all I I I I I would [20:39] disagree with you. I think Moshe [20:40] Kempinski is an angel actually but [20:43] >> [laughter] [20:44] >> That's amazing. [20:46] So Heather [20:47] So there's different kinds of Israel [20:49] activism out there. There's different [20:51] kinds of things people do for Israel and [20:53] you really moved into this education [20:55] space but focusing on [20:58] on on elected officials. [21:00] So could you talk about that work? Talk [21:02] about [21:03] how you got into that? What that looks [21:05] like? [21:06] >> Mhm. Sure. Actually you know, we were [21:08] involved in the city of Ariel, which is [21:11] in Samaria. That takes us back to that [21:13] important relationship that we have [21:15] there. And I think that in building that [21:17] relationship with the mayor of the city, [21:19] he kept saying over and over again, [21:20] "Where's the Congress? We never ever [21:23] ever have a congressman ever come [21:25] through one of the Jewish communities [21:27] here in Samaria, which makes up 20% of [21:29] the nation." [21:30] Um so, that was um a motivation. And [21:34] then I do understand how God works and [21:36] he began to lead us in that direction to [21:38] start taking [21:40] um the senior leaders of Congress [21:42] through the area called Judea and [21:44] Samaria. So, um we were leading tours at [21:46] the time, so it wasn't like we had not [21:48] led tours and it wasn't as if we had not [21:50] led tours through Samaria and Judea. [21:52] But, I had not taken Congress before. [21:54] So, it was amazing. It was a an another [21:58] another real um [22:00] providential and sovereign act of God to [22:03] bring me together with Eric Cantor, who [22:05] was the majority leader of the Congress [22:06] at that time. And by the way, he was the [22:08] only congressman I had ever met. [22:11] And we we um met each other and um I [22:15] shoved a piece of paper across the table [22:17] and I said, "If there was to be an [22:18] advanced education trip for the senior [22:21] members of Congress, I know AIPAC's [22:23] leading freshman and we need to have [22:24] those 101 trips. They are so vitally [22:27] important, but you can be a congressman [22:29] 20 years and never make it back to [22:31] Israel. [22:32] So, if we can get the secondary ones, we [22:34] certainly should take them through Judea [22:36] and Samaria for advanced education. They [22:38] need to understand this area [22:41] um and the promises of God to Israel [22:43] concerning that. They also need to [22:45] understand the demographic realities and [22:47] what the future is supposed to be." [22:49] So, we really um worked together on [22:51] that. And he looked at me and I said I [22:53] He said, "I've been looking for somebody [22:55] for 2 years that would lead advanced [22:57] trips." And so, we kind of shook hands [22:59] over over the table and he began to [23:01] populate our trips to Israel. So, that's [23:04] a little how of how US Israel Education [23:07] Association began. And as a highlight to [23:10] that, our very very first trip, we took [23:13] five chairmen on House Armed Services. [23:15] And one of them kept coming up to me, [23:17] his name was Doug Lamborn from Colorado. [23:20] And he said, "We need to go see this [23:22] thing called the Iron Dome." [23:25] Nobody had ever seen it before. Nobody [23:28] had ever [23:29] >> When was this? [23:30] >> Well, this was in 2011. [23:33] So, I was like, "Oh dear, how am I going [23:36] to take this first tour and get these [23:39] these members who hold the pocketbook, [23:42] you know, for missile defense? How am I [23:43] going to get them to the Iron Dome?" So, [23:46] I had to go approach the Prime Minister. [23:48] And I just said, [23:50] "We're sitting [clears throat] across [23:51] the table." And he said, "So, Heather, [23:52] where are you taking everybody?" And I [23:54] said, "Well, we actually need to go see [23:55] the Iron Dome." [23:56] >> [laughter] [23:57] >> We need to go see the Iron Dome. And he [23:59] kind of looked at me like, "I can't [24:01] believe you're asking me in front of [24:02] everybody." [24:03] But, he turned to his National Security [24:05] Advisor and he said, "Do you think [24:06] there's a way sometime while they're [24:09] here on this trip that they could that [24:11] we could declassify it so they could go [24:13] see it?" And by the next day, [24:16] we were on a bus headed over the Judea [24:19] into the Judean wilderness to go out and [24:20] see the [24:22] the missile defense system that has [24:23] changed and revolutionized the state of [24:26] Israel today, the Iron Dome Missile [24:28] Defense System. Well, everybody was [24:30] mesmerized, absolutely blown away. So, [24:34] it took no motivation to get these five [24:37] members back to DC. They pulled 54 [24:40] members of Congress together. We brought [24:42] in the education. And within 2 and 1/2 [24:45] months, they tripled the budget for Iron [24:47] Dome. [24:48] From 230 230 million to 690 million. It [24:53] was signed in the House, passed the [24:55] House, Senate, and then was signed by [24:56] President Obama, which set in motion [24:59] getting Iron Dome around all of the [25:02] population centers of Israel. To that [25:05] point, it had only been on the borders [25:07] protecting little, you know, these [25:10] lopsided missiles that were coming in [25:12] indiscriminately. But by a year and a [25:15] half later, we were back in war, Israel [25:18] was, with the [25:20] crazy Hamas rulers and leaders, and they [25:23] were lobbing missiles into the cities of [25:26] Israel by then. Tel Aviv, Jerusalem. And [25:29] thank God, by his sovereignty, that we [25:32] got the Iron Dome missile defense [25:34] collaboration started, then David's [25:36] Sling, and all of these have happened [25:39] incrementally and on time. [25:44] >> Wow. That the entire population of [25:47] Israel owes you a great thank you. [25:50] That's amazing. So, you've continued [25:52] doing these trips [25:54] >> Thank you, Rush Limbaugh. [25:56] >> Of course, every day, all day long. [25:58] >> You can say that again. [26:00] >> Well, thank you for being in the right [26:01] place at the right time and and stepping [26:03] through the doors that that the Lord [26:05] opened in front of you, on Israel's [26:07] behalf. [26:09] Heather, [26:10] talk about the scale of what you've been [26:12] doing in terms of elected officials, and [26:14] if it's [26:16] is it restricted to to the federal [26:18] level? Give us some of the texture of of [26:21] the work of the of the organization. [26:23] >> Well, I think our influence is wide and [26:26] vast and varied, um, but I think and and [26:28] into the government is what I mean, and [26:30] really into both of our governments. I [26:31] think we have a a role to play in the US [26:34] Israel collaboration. That's what US [26:36] Israel Education Association is doing. [26:38] It's really building a road into the [26:41] future. So, we're very, very [26:43] entrepreneurial. We're looking out ahead [26:45] of things, and I think, um, our aim has [26:48] really, really been to educate Congress, [26:50] which I know it sounds like it seems [26:52] like they would have enough education, [26:54] but as you get into it, you can really, [26:56] really understand now the extreme [26:58] importance that people are being that [27:00] elected officials into our Congress are [27:03] being educated in the right way and with [27:05] a real govern governorship and a real [27:08] sense of understanding the biblical view [27:11] of of modern Israel inside the biblical [27:13] history. Um because if members of [27:15] Congress understand what their role is, [27:18] cuz there's a role for them to play. [27:20] Um then it really begins to make sense [27:23] that they help lead the way [27:25] as it concerns the US Israel [27:27] collaboration. So, yes, we're working [27:29] with Congress where they are the [27:30] balancing act to any US administration. [27:34] You never take your eyes off Congress [27:37] and they have played the iconic role in [27:39] the world. The iconic role, let me just [27:42] say it again, bar none. [27:44] The US Congress has played the iconic [27:47] steady role in the US Israel [27:50] collaboration for the world. Um US [27:53] administrations have come and have gone [27:55] and have done good things and bad [27:57] things. It's been like this. The [28:00] Congress has been the steady stream in [28:02] the sea of adversity. So, our focus has [28:05] been there, but our our influence, of [28:07] course, has reached um [28:10] the White House. [28:12] >> Okay, so Heather, this brings us to [28:15] a hot topic of the day, something we've [28:17] talked a lot about on this podcast and I [28:19] think everyone in the in the Israel and [28:22] US Israel relationship space has been [28:25] concerned with, which is the disturbing [28:27] trends in the younger generation on the [28:29] American right and the American [28:31] conservative world and Republican, [28:32] whatever you want to call it, [28:35] in the Christian community as well, that [28:37] the younger generation is less inclined [28:39] towards support for Israel. I think [28:40] sometimes [28:42] the the anti-Israel sentiment is can be [28:45] overstated. I say that as someone who [28:47] who attended, you know, Turning Point [28:49] USA events and I was in regular touch [28:51] with Charlie and, you know, I I had my [28:53] finger on the pulse of that. [28:54] So, I think it's in some ways it's not [28:56] as bad as people think, but there's [28:58] certainly some disturbing signs there. [29:00] We also know about some of the turning [29:03] against Israel that's been happening [29:04] within the Republican Party even I think [29:06] congressional level. There are There are [29:07] more There are more people in at that [29:10] level who are being elected or are [29:12] already elected and are concerned that [29:14] Israel's not such a popular topic. [29:17] So, [snorts] in this environment with [29:18] everything we've been dealing with with [29:19] the media, with the podcasters, and the [29:21] way the way support for Israel is, you [29:25] you've been on the front lines of this. [29:27] Has it changed your [29:30] your conversations with with members of [29:33] Congress? Are you seeing [29:35] the the effects of those disturbing [29:37] trends in your work on Capitol Hill? [29:40] >> Well, I think that there's definitely a [29:43] shift toward [29:46] in in some pockets of the Congress and [29:48] certainly on the Democratic side of our [29:50] part of the party [29:52] to with a greater anti-Israel [29:56] you know, sentiment. And I think it it [29:58] does affect the policies. I would just [30:01] say that [30:03] war has not been our best friend. [30:05] A protracted war that is two years with [30:09] you know, Hamas. Now we've moved into [30:11] Iran and with that steady diet of TikTok [30:15] coming in for the next generation, this [30:17] fast-food diet that you know, Israel [30:19] equals genocide, they have committed [30:22] genocide, and that constant refrain [30:25] has really really impacted [30:28] the situation for this next generation. [30:30] And I think with Congress that there's a [30:33] there is a it's a time for those leaders [30:36] that really know how to stand strong to [30:38] do so, and I think they are. I think [30:40] people are seeing through all of this. [30:43] and they get more of the intel than the [30:46] civilian population does, and that intel [30:49] does inform those members of Congress [30:52] that are standing with Israel [30:54] to stand even stronger. And I think [30:56] we're getting a lot of strength coming [30:58] out of the Congress as it concerns that. [31:00] So, [31:01] things are moving forward. Let me just [31:03] say that to you, Rabbi. Everything is [31:06] moving forward. We just got legislation [31:08] passed just about a month ago [31:11] putting the very first FDA office into [31:14] the region in the state of Israel that's [31:17] going to open up the FDA platform for [31:20] manufacturing and being able to friend [31:22] shore out of China. [31:24] Things are on the move. There's a lot [31:26] happening within the US-Israel [31:28] relationship even in the midst of war [31:30] and with all of this anti-Israel [31:32] rhetoric. So, we just have to put our [31:34] heads down and continue to move forward [31:36] and educate, educate, educate. That's [31:39] what we're supposed to be doing. [31:41] >> Well, Heather, that's that's really [31:43] encouraging words for us to hear because [31:45] again, everyone looks at these polling [31:47] and everyone looks at what's going on in [31:49] social media and and is worried is there [31:52] going to be an end to this friendship [31:54] between the US and Israel? And I one of [31:56] the things I always default to is [31:58] along the lines of what you're saying, [31:59] but on the security side, when you go [32:01] into the Pentagon, you go into the into [32:03] the you talk to those types of people, [32:05] they have a deep understanding of the [32:07] interconnectedness of Israel and the US [32:09] and the security level, and that's not [32:11] going to go away so easily just because [32:13] someone [32:14] you know, someone gets elected who's [32:16] you know, who who's saying the wrong [32:17] things. Those relationships are not [32:19] going to go away. [32:20] >> Yeah, and I think too, we just don't [32:22] want to go toward [32:24] you don't want to abandon Israel while [32:27] you're trying to carry out an Iran [32:29] policy. [32:31] You can you can walk and you can tap [32:34] your head and chew gum at the same time. [32:36] >> [laughter] [32:37] >> So important that we continue to honor [32:39] the relationship to Israel while we're [32:41] trying to build the, you know, the Arab [32:43] relationships. And you don't have to [32:45] diss Israel while you're doing that. [32:47] Very, very important that we keep the [32:49] US-Israel relationship very strong in [32:52] the midst of trying to build these other [32:54] collaborations. [32:55] Hope that's clear. [32:57] >> Yeah. So, so Heather, [32:59] you know, in the Christian Zionist [33:01] space, [33:02] uh and unfortunately, [33:05] this this trend that I just talked about [33:06] is affecting that space. When I go to [33:08] these conferences [33:10] uh from various Christian Zionist [33:11] organizations, whether it's an Eagle's [33:13] Wings event or a Christians United for [33:15] Israel event, they're all, you know, I [33:16] attend thing, you know, I've attended [33:18] many conferences. I was recently I spoke [33:20] at a conference for the International [33:21] Christian Embassy of Jerusalem a few [33:22] weeks ago. [33:24] Unfortunately, it's an aging crowd. [33:26] Uh that is that's the reality. Maybe [33:29] that's just, you know, that that's who [33:30] the activists are. [33:32] But there's definitely concern about it. [33:34] Even where there isn't a trend against [33:37] Israel, a lot of the younger people just [33:38] don't want to be involved in it. [33:40] Christian Zionism seems to be an [33:41] artifact of their parents' and [33:43] grandparents' generation. [33:45] Um and [33:47] as someone who's a professional fly on [33:49] the wall in the Christian world, I I've [33:50] spoken in many churches, I've spoken in [33:52] many Christian seminaries, lectured. [33:55] What I have noticed for a long time, and [33:57] this is this is nothing new to my [33:59] audience, [34:00] is that in academia, when you go into [34:02] the seminaries, even from denominations [34:05] where the on the church level, they're [34:07] very pro-Israel, they're doing trips to [34:09] Israel, but when you go into the [34:11] seminaries and you look at how theology [34:13] is taught and you look at at [34:15] at how the how Christianity is taught, [34:18] the framework of Christianity is taught, [34:20] it's [34:22] sometimes it's not called replacement [34:23] theology or it'll be called fulfillment [34:25] theology or it'll take or or is or [34:29] covenant theology or Israel will just [34:30] not be they don't even know that they [34:32] believe in replacement theology. It's [34:34] just Israel becomes kind of irrelevant [34:36] and I think that that's taking a toll. [34:38] So, a lot of the younger generation of [34:39] pastors, I'll tell you as a Jew, as a [34:41] rabbi who goes to churches, [34:43] a frequent pattern that I started [34:46] noticing a few years ago was that the [34:48] senior pastor of the church who might [34:50] have who probably founded the church [34:51] might be in his 60s or 70s, has been to [34:54] Israel a dozen times and he's a big [34:55] friend of Israel and and that's all fine [34:58] and good, but then when I meet his staff [35:00] and the younger guys on staff who [35:02] recently graduated from evangelical [35:05] seminaries will be much more [35:07] stand-offish, they're not so interested [35:09] in the Israel thing. [35:12] Is are you at all Is your organization [35:15] that's devoted to education [35:17] looking towards the world of Christian [35:19] academia at all and maybe seeing that as [35:21] an opportunity to educate people beyond [35:23] elected officials or you staying in the [35:25] lane of elected officials? And maybe you [35:27] could comment also on the trend that I'm [35:29] noticing. [35:30] >> Yeah, no, I completely agree with every [35:33] single word that you just said and I [35:35] think it's just apparent. It is [35:37] it's appalling [35:39] and it it feels a bit like we're being [35:42] bamboozled by it because in the midst of [35:44] all of the this war and the growing [35:46] anti-Israel rhetoric because we just [35:49] keep staying at war. Now, I'm not [35:51] opposed to the war. I think we have to [35:53] prosecute everything to the fullest [35:55] degree till we can get to diplomatic [35:57] solutions if they're possible, but it is [36:01] not been on our side. [36:03] And this next generation is tired of [36:05] watching people die. Nobody wants to [36:08] watch somebody die, does it? You don't [36:10] distinguish between a Jew dying and a [36:12] Palestinian dying and people just can't [36:14] do that. So, that's the psyche. That's [36:17] what we're dealing with and and when we [36:19] get out of war war abates, I think we [36:21] may see this tide, you know, recede [36:25] some. But to your point, we are absent [36:29] and Israelology in most of our churches [36:31] today. We're absent Israelology in most [36:34] of the seminaries today. [36:36] And I think that's where we are um we're [36:39] messing up getting it to the next [36:41] generation. Until we can um have pastors [36:45] that when we come to crises like this, [36:47] they can stand up in their pulpit and [36:49] accurately talk about the Abrahamic [36:51] covenant. Very, very simple. Particular [36:54] people who live in a particular pl- um [36:57] land have been given the promises of God [37:00] to bless the world. [37:02] And until we can we can have pastors [37:04] take their churches through that and [37:06] give the understanding of modern Israel [37:10] inside of the biblical prophecies as [37:11] part of a new covenant theology. It's [37:14] part of the new covenant. We're in the [37:15] time frame of the new covenant. Where [37:18] God's writing the the word into our [37:20] hearts. That's what he said he would do. [37:22] Until that happens, we are not [37:24] transferring onto the next generation uh [37:27] what we need to. And it is colossal. I [37:30] feel like sometimes it's like we have a [37:32] little dropper and there's this huge [37:34] ocean and we're just trying to, you [37:36] know, do it all. I am I'm bending over [37:39] backward where I am in in the area of [37:42] influence we have to begin to educate, [37:44] to open up doors for that. We're writing [37:46] curriculum on it. I think until we can [37:49] get TPUSA [37:51] um until we get some of the larger youth [37:53] organizations really, really within [37:56] Israelology in it as part of their their [37:59] their path forward, [38:01] um we're going to be hurting on that [38:03] front cuz I don't see churches picking [38:05] this up. Hoping that they will. [38:07] >> Yeah. [38:08] I I [38:09] I see it all the time. Pastors will go [38:10] on a trip to Israel and even if it has [38:12] the right effect on them, let's say, [38:14] especially when they go like with Robert [38:15] Stearns and Eagles Wings, he does a [38:16] great job transforming these pastors [38:19] into Christian Zionists. At the same [38:21] time as they might buy what he's selling [38:23] so to speak and they and they understand [38:24] it, they don't necessarily feel [38:26] confident in it because it's such a [38:28] departure from the frame from the [38:30] theological framework they've been [38:31] operating with for so many years that [38:33] they're not conversant in it and it's [38:35] exactly what you call it Israelology. I [38:37] never heard that word. I like it. The [38:39] but to have a [38:41] to understand how it fits into the [38:43] framework because admittedly, you know, [38:45] replacement theology is very easy. It's [38:47] very it's very simple. Like oh, church [38:49] replaces Israel then it's just [38:50] everything's very clean. [38:53] But that but God never promised us a [38:55] clean easy to understand theology. I [38:57] mean in fact, I I think he even said my [39:00] ways are not your ways, my thoughts are [39:02] not your thoughts. In other words, [39:03] you're not going to quite get me is what [39:05] he was telling us. So that's okay, but [39:07] being comfortable and being comfortable [39:10] standing up as you say is to stand up in [39:12] the pulpit and present a confident [39:15] Christian Zionist theology that is that [39:17] doesn't compromise their Christian [39:19] theology is something a lot of pastors [39:21] are struggling with and they really [39:22] need, you know, for me as a Jew as a [39:24] rabbi to express my view of the [39:26] relationship from this side even if I [39:28] understand Christian theology, it it [39:30] doesn't do the same thing. We really [39:32] need Christian leaders to infiltrate and [39:34] I say that in a positive connotation the [39:37] seminaries [39:38] so that the the Christian Zionist [39:40] theology also gains more respect. A lot [39:42] of young Christians view it as something [39:44] that's shallow. Oh, it's just Genesis [39:46] 12:3, you know, bless the Jews. [39:48] They don't understand that it's that it [39:51] it really is the biblical narrative. [39:54] >> It is. And there is absolutely no [39:57] contradiction whatsoever. You know, God [39:59] and and that's where that that steady [40:02] stream from the we have one seamless [40:04] Bible. Christians should see their [40:06] Bibles seamlessly. [40:08] We have [40:10] Old Old Testament that we are blends [40:13] into a New Testament. They it's [40:15] seamless. And until we can really get [40:17] that, then we're going to put a huge [40:18] emphasis on just the New Testament and [40:21] we're going to fail to understand [40:22] Israel's role cuz Israel, the nation of [40:25] Israel, has a role inside the new [40:29] covenant time frame. [40:30] The prophecies are being fulfilled in [40:33] our time. They are being fulfilled with [40:35] the respect that God said, "I'm going to [40:37] beckon to the Gentiles to participate in [40:40] it." I'm going to cause, you know, 10 [40:43] men from out of the nations. Where are [40:44] the 10 men from out of the nations? [40:46] Zechariah 8. They're just going to [40:48] They're going to seize a firm hold of [40:50] one Jew by the hem of his robe saying, [40:51] "Let us come with you for we can see and [40:55] we have heard that God is with you." [40:58] Well, these days are ahead of us. I [41:00] believe that there will be more [41:01] awakening [41:03] in the Christian church around the [41:05] world. I think we're going to see that, [41:07] but it will be by God's initiative. [41:10] There is no way, and I need to tell you, [41:12] don't get discouraged, but there is no [41:14] way for us to accomplish this just on [41:16] our own. CUFI can't do it. Christians [41:18] United for Israel, they're doing this [41:20] full-time. [41:21] We can't seem to get it infiltrated and [41:25] and that's not even the right word. [41:27] We've had such a replacement theology so [41:29] systemically for thousands of years and [41:33] we we want to move that out and bring in [41:37] that proper theology. It's an awakening [41:39] and God said it will be that. I will [41:42] awaken the Gentiles. I'll beckon to [41:45] them. And that's what he's going to do. [41:47] It's what he has been doing. [41:49] >> Heather, [41:50] final two questions. We can make them [41:52] one question. I want to hear more about [41:55] what is actually going on at the [41:57] National Leadership Center in Ariel. You [41:59] talk about 120,000 Israelis including [42:01] Jewish and Arab youth. What What is the [42:04] experience they're going through there? [42:06] What is this institution? And secondly, [42:09] Uncommon Favor, tell us about that. [42:11] >> Well, we have just in the course of all [42:14] of these this relationship that we have [42:16] with Israel, we we worked with the mayor [42:18] of [42:19] Mayor Ron Nachman on the city of Ariel [42:21] and Israel's Ministry of Education and [42:23] the and the Defense Ministry to build a [42:26] national leadership center on the [42:28] mountains of Samaria. The focal point as [42:31] we began that adventure back in 2010, [42:34] 2010, [42:36] was the notion of being able to create [42:39] an experiential outdoor learning [42:41] facility, state of the art, nothing like [42:44] it like it in the state of Israel or in [42:46] the Middle East and be able to bring in [42:49] the biblical heritage and and identity. [42:52] That is looking through the lens of [42:54] Joshua and Caleb, Abraham, Moshe, [42:58] and being able to take a secular [43:01] Israel and being able to bring them into [43:05] not a synagogue but into experiential [43:07] learning to work through problems [43:10] together, team involvement, having to [43:12] solve situations to get from A to B, but [43:16] doing it through the lens of leadership [43:19] out of the Bible. How those people [43:20] connected with God, how they understood [43:23] themselves as leaders, and then how they [43:26] needed to relate to their team members, [43:28] how they needed to relate to each other. [43:30] And so that's really been the the drum [43:32] beat. Very, very simple, we'll focus on [43:34] life purpose. Why am I here? Why do I [43:36] get up in the morning? [43:38] And some of the ultimate and central and [43:41] basic human questions. So that's what [43:43] we've been doing. It's grown. We could [43:45] not believe that how many people wanted [43:47] to be a part of this, including the Arab [43:49] Israeli high schools for which we have [43:51] the contract. [43:52] We our our Jewish teams that cuz it's [43:55] all Israeli led [43:58] are in 500 high schools in Israel and we [44:00] just opened a brand new campus in [44:02] Jerusalem called the Jerusalem [44:03] Leadership Institute [44:06] just above Ein Kerem, just below Yad [44:08] Vashem. [44:09] >> [snorts] [44:09] >> And we were given institute status by [44:12] the IDF. And so we're doing a lot of the [44:15] training for special forces in Israel [44:18] with a focus on with a focus on the [44:21] biblical identity. And you can imagine [44:24] um Rabbi the importance and the growing [44:26] importance inside of Israel today [44:28] inside this next generation that they [44:30] have a deep and inner conviction about [44:33] why they're fighting. Why they're [44:35] staying in Israel? Why not go to [44:36] Singapore? Why not leave this crazy [44:39] country where we're always at war? [44:41] And why we have to fight so hard? Well, [44:43] if you don't know why you're fighting, [44:44] why would you stay? [44:46] So biblical identity is growing that [44:49] enormously important [44:51] systemic root is growing inside the [44:54] state of Israel today and we're right at [44:55] the forefront. We actually helped to get [44:57] it started. [44:59] >> So is there a website people can go to [45:01] if they want to learn more about that [45:02] project? [45:03] >> Yeah, sure. J JHisrael.com. [45:06] Mhm. [45:06] >> JHisrael.com. That's awesome. Okay. Now [45:10] uncommon favor. [45:12] >> Uncommon favor is just a book I wrote [45:15] about our journey. [45:17] It's been a faith journey to step into [45:19] the story of Israel. [45:21] It has a big focus on that sense of a [45:25] Rabbi and Talmud relationship. The [45:29] importance of closeness with God in [45:31] one's personal journey which then [45:33] becomes the He is He as the source of [45:36] our identity. He's the giver of our [45:38] identity. To be a stranger to him is to [45:41] be a stranger to yourself. [45:43] So we [45:44] really really espouse a very intimate [45:46] and close [45:48] real and and relationship with him that [45:51] is not imagined that it has a lot of [45:54] chutzpah to it and that is on the [45:57] advance in one's personal life. Well, [45:58] the story is about that and it [46:00] interweaves our stories related to [46:02] Israel, which has been have been nothing [46:04] short of miraculous. [46:06] And so it's a great great book to read [46:08] and be inspired by. [46:10] >> And I see it's available on Amazon, so [46:12] you guys could look that up. Uncommon [46:14] Favor by Heather Johnson. All right, [46:15] Heather, we're going to leave it there. [46:17] Thank you so much for doing this and [46:18] thank you on behalf of of [46:21] of the Jewish people as I'm sitting here [46:22] in Israel. It doesn't You don't You're [46:30] not having massive conferences that [46:31] people see your name and your brand [46:33] everywhere, but what you're doing is [46:35] just essential essential to the health [46:38] of the US-Israel relationship and what [46:39] you're doing for the young people here [46:40] in Israel with the center. It's just [46:43] it's inspiring to listen to you. Thank [46:44] you so much again for being on Shoulder [46:46] to Shoulder. [46:47] >> Thank you so much, Rabbi. I appreciate [46:49] it.
