Transcript [00:00] Watch what happens when a CNN host tried [00:02] to challenge Nancy Mace on her comments [00:05] about Islam. Take a look. [00:07] >> Before we go, I I want to ask you about [00:08] something you posted online. A few days [00:10] ago, you wrote, quote, every single [00:12] Muslim holding public office in America [00:14] is a Trojan horse and a threat to both [00:17] national security and our republic. And [00:19] then today you essentially added, if not [00:21] wanting to be blown up, stabbed, or [00:23] rammed by a car, [00:26] uh, by a radical Islamist in the United [00:28] States of America makes us Islamophobes, [00:30] then so be it. Are you saying that that [00:32] anyone who is Muslim is a threat to this [00:35] country? [00:36] >> Uh, that's not what I said and that's [00:39] not what I said. Number one, I think we [00:40] do have a real issue with radical Islam. [00:43] >> that's what you're saying. [00:45] >> No, I was talking about elected [00:46] officials. When you look at what has [00:48] just happened in the [00:49] >> Muslim elected officials, sorry to cut [00:51] you off, but just to be clear, any [00:52] elected Muslim officials. [00:54] >> Toumba Donnie campaigned with an [00:56] unindicted co-conspirator of the 1993 [00:58] World Trade Center bombings. You have [01:01] Abdul El-Sayed who was campaigning with [01:04] Hassan who said America deserved [01:06] 9/11. Yes, we should be very concerned [01:08] >> he regretted those comments, but I take [01:10] your point. [01:12] >> But that believe in this radical Islam [01:16] ideology where women are covered head to [01:18] toe is very oppressive where we've seen [01:20] grooming gangs over [01:22] >> But Congresswoman, there's no indication [01:24] that that Mayor Mamdani has brought any [01:26] of those ideals to New York City [01:29] governance or that just being Muslim [01:32] allows you brings those in. [01:35] >> If you're playing footsie with an Imam [01:37] here in America who's an unindicted [01:39] co-conspirator of the 1993 World Trade [01:41] Center bombings, yeah, we have a real [01:42] problem with that kind of ideology. [01:45] >> when you make a blanket statement like [01:47] that, it implies that every Muslim [01:50] member of Congress or leadership, folks [01:53] who, by the way, are are elected by [01:55] American citizens. [01:57] >> I am deeply concerned about Michigan [01:59] Democrats nominating a guy hanging out [02:01] with Hasan who said America [02:03] deserved 9/11, who has a framed photo of [02:05] the Twin Towers. [02:06] >> responded to and says he regrets those [02:08] comments, but yes, keep going. [02:11] >> Yeah, but I mean this is who he's [02:13] hanging out with, this kind of person [02:15] who's promoting, you know, communist [02:18] ideology. This is not something [02:20] America's not built on those values. And [02:22] in the future when our granddaughters [02:24] are wearing burkas to school, we're [02:27] going to look back and say we should [02:28] have [02:28] >> that that is happening on a wide basis. [02:30] Folks that are getting into office [02:32] >> you see the parade in Chicago today? [02:34] Have you seen Dearborn? In Dearborn, [02:36] Michigan [02:37] >> of culture, Congresswoman, is different [02:39] than a blanket city policy. [02:42] >> The guy complaining about the call to [02:44] prayer five times a day. They're trying [02:45] to push these people out and our values [02:47] out and that's wrong. I think this is a [02:48] conversation that we have to have. What [02:51] are our values and what do they look [02:53] like? I don't want to hear the call to [02:54] prayer five times a day in an American [02:56] city. [02:56] >> Well, if you don't want to hear it, [02:57] that's okay. The first religion protects [02:59] the first amendment, excuse me, protects [03:01] from freedom of religion. If you don't [03:03] want to hear it, fine. You know, I grew [03:05] up in a Christian household. I grew up [03:06] in the South. Islam is not my religion, [03:09] but I have Muslim friends who, if that [03:12] is how they they worship, even if I [03:15] don't want to hear it, that is their [03:16] right to hear. [03:19] >> In the privacy of their own mosque or [03:21] their own home, not on the streets of [03:22] America. I think that we're speaking a [03:24] very different vibe. [03:27] >> expression [03:28] >> We're going to be having that kind of [03:30] thing going on. And if you look at the [03:31] parades that are happening, I look at [03:33] the women who are covered head to toe [03:34] with little slits for their eyes. As a [03:36] woman, that's scary to me. [03:38] >> being That's not being forced on you, [03:40] Congresswoman. [03:43] But that's not being forced on you to [03:45] do, Congresswoman. It's not happening. [03:47] >> forced on women and children in other [03:49] countries. [03:50] A six-year-old girl doesn't get a say on [03:52] whether she should wear a hijab or not. [03:54] I mean, this is this is very [03:57] >> a family's decision on how they [03:59] govern their kids. [04:02] All right, Congresswoman [04:03] >> I don't think you can Yeah. [04:04] >> I I appreciate you taking the time and [04:07] and explaining your tweet as as best you [04:09] could there. [04:11] Uh but you know, the First Amendment is [04:12] pretty clear on freedom of religion. [04:14] Article 6 also no religious test shall [04:17] ever be required as a qualification to [04:19] any office. [04:20] >> American culture. We have Christian [04:21] foundations as a nation and this does [04:24] not agree with the Constitution. [04:25] >> Amendment disagrees that it needs to [04:27] stay that. If someone wants to express [04:31] their religion, it's right there as [04:33] number one in terms of the Constitution. [04:35] So [04:35] >> to that country. That's all I have to [04:37] say. Go back to that country of origin. [04:39] It doesn't need to be here. [04:41] >> Congresswoman, America has a long [04:43] history of expressing cultures from [04:44] various from various countries. Uh you [04:47] know that. We have seen that play out in [04:49] generations of immigration, but I got to [04:51] leave the conversation there. [04:52] Congresswoman, thank you for being here. [04:54] >> I think we should ban all immigrants [04:55] from those countries. Thank you. [04:57] >> Brilliant job by Nancy Mace. Another [04:59] day, another clip of mainstream media [05:02] getting absolutely cooked uh trying to [05:05] have a gotcha moment and then she's [05:07] like, "Sorry, I don't play those games." [05:10] I'm clear, [05:11] concise. [05:13] I don't like Islam in our politics and [05:14] that's just how it has to be. [05:17] Thank you for watching and I'll see you [05:19] in the next one.
