Transcript [00:00] Hey everyone. So I want to cover a topic [00:02] in this video that I don't think I've [00:04] talked about on this channel. I think I [00:05] made a video about it about a year ago [00:08] on the Israel 365 news channel, but some [00:10] news broke the other day that [00:13] didn't really make the headlines. I [00:14] could scarcely find any coverage of it, [00:16] but it's actually pretty significant and [00:18] I want you to know about it. And we're [00:21] going to talk about why it's [00:22] significant, what it means. And it has [00:23] to do with a House Judiciary Committee [00:27] investigation [00:29] of funding sources of some left-wing [00:32] Israeli NGOs. And you might wonder, why [00:35] is that an American issue? But take a [00:37] look at this headline. This is This is [00:39] not from any news source. This is from [00:42] the House Judiciary Committee website. [00:44] New memo reveals Biden-Harris [00:47] administration misused taxpayer dollars [00:51] to fund radical anti-Israel protests and [00:54] terrorist-linked [00:56] NGOs. [00:57] It's dated May 29th, just a couple of [00:59] days ago. Washington, D.C. Today, the [01:02] House Judiciary Committee released a [01:03] memo titled The Biden-Harris [01:05] administration's funding of [01:07] anti-Netanyahu [01:09] non-governmental organizations part two, [01:12] detailing a continued pattern of the [01:14] Biden-Harris [01:15] neglect and misuse of taxpayer dollars [01:19] through US Agency for International [01:22] Development, that's USAID, [01:24] the State Department, and other federal [01:26] agencies that were used to directly and [01:29] indirectly fund the efforts of [01:31] anti-Netanyahu organizations and [01:34] terrorist groups. [01:36] Not just anti-Netanyahu organizations, [01:37] but also terrorist groups. There is also [01:40] evidence that US nonprofits may be [01:42] violating their 501(c)(3) provisions of [01:45] US law by funding radical anti-Israel [01:48] groups and protests against the Israeli [01:51] government. They had released their [01:52] first memo in July 2025. So I'm not [01:55] going to keep reading from here. I just [01:57] want to tell you what this is all about. [01:59] So, in [02:00] let's start with the background. [02:02] In 2023, before October 7th, before the [02:05] war, before everything, Israel was [02:07] consumed by the biggest protest Well, [02:09] not the biggest protest movement. It was [02:11] the the loudest protest movement in its [02:14] history because the [02:15] frankly, the right-wing protests against [02:18] the peace process, against the Oslo [02:21] Accords way back in the '90s were [02:23] probably way bigger than this. But, it [02:25] was a pretty big movement. Week after [02:27] week, there were thousands of Israelis [02:29] in the streets. The media was building [02:31] it up to make it seem bigger than it [02:32] was, although it was quite large. [02:35] It went on for 39 consecutive weeks. If [02:37] you saw the images, you probably heard [02:39] that Israelis were protesting to save [02:41] democracy. Right? That was the framing. [02:43] The Netanyahu government had proposed [02:47] what it called judicial reform. And the [02:49] left in Israel and pretty much every [02:51] Western media outlet treated this as [02:54] some existential threat to Israeli [02:56] democracy, that Netanyahu was trying to [02:57] usurp powers. Now, I'm not going to get [02:59] in to the full debate about judicial [03:01] reform right now. It's a whole other [03:03] video. It's [03:05] It's beyond the scope of this [03:06] conversation. But, here's what you need [03:07] to know for this for the context of this [03:09] one. [03:11] Israel's Supreme Court, unlike virtually [03:14] any other court in any Western [03:16] democracy, in any free democracy, [03:18] had arrogated for it for itself. It had [03:21] given itself the power like a powers [03:24] that most Supreme Courts, no Supreme [03:26] Court really has. It It had It gave its [03:29] It Again, it took these powers for for [03:32] itself over the course of decades, the [03:34] power to strike down laws without any [03:36] case being brought, [03:38] the power to overturn any government [03:41] decision, again, without anyone bringing [03:43] a case. They could just over They could [03:44] just The government makes a decision, [03:46] they don't like it, they could overturn [03:47] it. [03:48] The Knesset passes a law, they don't [03:50] like it. [03:51] And it's not like we have a [03:52] constitution. [03:54] Um they [03:55] would veto cabinet appointments. [03:59] And and I'm not saying that, you know, [04:01] of course you have the concept of being [04:02] constitutional, but that's not what this [04:04] was about. It was even if the cabinet [04:06] appointment or the government decision [04:08] or the law did not contradict any [04:10] existing law. [04:13] There were no checks on that power. [04:16] The reform and I know it sounds a little [04:18] extreme, but trust me. [04:20] So the whole judicial reform thing was [04:22] an attempt to rein in the power of the [04:25] judiciary. Suffice it to say, and this [04:27] is not even the other side will agree, [04:29] Israel's judiciary has far, far more [04:32] power than any judiciary in the Western [04:35] world. I mean, it's and it's too much. [04:38] So reasonable people can disagree about [04:40] the details, but the idea that this was [04:41] like a coup or a threat to democracy was [04:44] really just political rhetoric. [04:46] So you had this massive protest movement [04:48] going on. It was funded by [04:50] organizations. And it was run out of a [04:52] headquarters coordinated across the [04:54] country, and it was aimed at one thing, [04:57] which was bringing down the Netanyahu [04:59] government before it could pass [05:01] this judicial reform agenda. [05:04] Now, here's where the House Judiciary [05:05] Committee comes in. [05:06] Starting in March 2025, so not long [05:09] after Trump assumed office, [05:12] the committee, chaired by Jim Jordan, [05:16] Representative Jim Jordan, began [05:18] investigating whether American taxpayer [05:20] dollars had been funneled through NGOs [05:25] to help fund those protests. [05:27] They sent letters to six organizations [05:30] and demanded documents. They've now [05:32] reviewed over 1,200 documents, and they [05:35] just released their second major memo [05:38] since they started this, [05:40] dated May 29th, just a couple days ago. [05:43] And what they found is extraordinary. [05:44] Here's the basic money trail. [05:47] Okay, follow this carefully [05:49] uh cuz it matters. The Biden [05:50] administration through USAID [05:53] and the State Department and the [05:55] Department of Defense gave tens of [05:57] millions of dollars to a US nonprofit [06:00] called the Rockefeller Philanthropy [06:02] Advisors. Rockefeller Philanthropy [06:05] Advisors. Over $50 million [06:09] was given to them in the period that [06:10] they examined. Now, Rockefeller [06:12] Philanthropy Advisors then donated money [06:16] to the PEF Israel Endowment Funds, which [06:19] is a US-based nonprofit that acts as a [06:22] pass-through for donations to Israeli [06:25] organizations. PEF then donated [06:28] approximately $18 million to an [06:30] organization called Blue White Future, [06:34] which the committee describes as the [06:35] group that literally, quote, funded and [06:38] ran the headquarters for the coalition [06:40] of groups opposing judicial reform, Blue [06:43] White Future. The headquarters of the [06:46] entire protest movement was funded [06:48] downstream from US taxpayer dollars. [06:51] Now, the organizations involved will [06:53] tell you, and this is their legal [06:54] defense, that the American government [06:57] money went to other projects or it [06:59] didn't even go to Israel. USAID funded [07:02] media programs in Africa and Asia, the [07:05] State Department funded refugee [07:06] programs. None of it was earmarked for [07:08] Israeli protests. And I'm Now, [07:10] technically, that's true, but the thing [07:12] is, and the committee explains this in [07:15] the memo, is that money is fungible. [07:17] When you give an organization [07:20] government money for project A, that [07:23] frees up other money to go to project B. [07:28] Like, the new funding stream allows them [07:29] to do things they couldn't do before. [07:31] So, the fact that the direct grant [07:33] wasn't labeled fund the anti-Netanyahu [07:36] protests is legally convenient, but [07:38] substantively irrelevant. [07:42] It gets worse. The Rockefeller Brothers [07:44] Fund received $500 So, this is a [07:47] separate [07:49] So, you have the Rockefeller [07:50] Philanthropy Advisors, and then you have [07:51] the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. The [07:53] Rockefeller Brothers Fund is a separate [07:55] charity that received $557,000 [07:59] from Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, [08:02] the same organization that was getting [08:03] tens of millions in US government [08:05] grants. So, taxpayer money flowed [08:08] into [08:10] Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. [08:12] Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors passed [08:14] money to the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, [08:16] and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund then [08:18] gave money directly to left-wing groups [08:21] like Jewish Jewish Voice for Peace, [08:23] which after October 7th released a [08:25] statement blaming Israel for the Hamas [08:28] massacre. [08:29] Right? They also funded the New Israel [08:31] Fund, which bankrolled groups that [08:33] started the first protests [08:36] against the Netanyahu government, [08:37] against judicial reform in January 2023. [08:40] They gave money to an organization [08:42] called Alliance for Global Justice, [08:45] which in turn funded Samidoun, [08:49] which the US Treasury has designated as [08:51] a front group for the terrorist [08:53] organization the Palestinian Front for [08:55] the Liberation of Palestine. That's a [08:56] full full-throated terrorist group in [08:58] the Middle East. [09:01] So, we're not just talking about funding [09:02] political protests in a foreign country. [09:04] We're talking about a chain that [09:06] connects American taxpayer dollars [09:08] through multiple layers of nonprofits to [09:11] groups with ties to designated terrorist [09:14] organizations. This is all in this [09:15] Judiciary Committee report that was [09:18] released a couple of days ago. You can [09:19] download it [09:21] online. [09:23] Now, the committee also found that there [09:24] was a group, an Israeli group, called [09:27] the Movement for Quality Government. [09:29] Okay, it's one of the They were one of [09:31] the lead organizers of these anti [09:34] anti-judiciary reform protests. [09:38] The Movement for Quality Government. [09:40] They received a $42,000 [09:43] grant directly from the State [09:46] Department. [09:48] And under Biden. [09:51] And that grant explicitly was for quote [09:54] civic activism training program. Civic [09:58] activism training program in Israeli [10:00] high schools. And what they found is [10:02] that they were teaching Israeli [10:03] teenagers [10:05] to [10:06] distrust their government. [10:08] And in their words to become key [10:11] activists [10:13] and revealers of corruption. [10:16] And this was paid for by you, the [10:17] American taxpayer, if you're an American [10:19] taxpayer. [10:21] Now, let me tell you why I think this [10:21] matters beyond the legal and financial [10:23] details. [10:25] Before October 7th, the protest movement [10:28] was portrayed as this spontaneous [10:30] organic uprising of the Israeli people [10:33] against a dangerous government. Like [10:34] that Right, that's how That's how they [10:36] sold it to the world. [10:38] Hundreds of thousands of Israelis in the [10:39] streets, surely this is the authentic [10:41] voice of Israeli civil society, right? [10:45] Never mind that the electorate in Israel [10:47] is [10:48] uh [10:49] overwhelmingly right-wing, and that's [10:50] why we haven't had a left-wing prime [10:52] minister in decades. [10:54] Not going to have one anytime soon, in [10:55] my opinion. [10:57] Anyway, what this report shows is that [10:59] the infrastructure behind those [11:00] protests, the headquarters, the funding [11:03] networks, the organizing apparatus, was [11:06] substantially was substantially [11:08] bankrolled by American money flowing [11:10] through a web of left-wing nonprofits [11:13] with ideological agendas. [11:16] And the Biden administration, which [11:17] openly said that, you know, which openly [11:19] called for Netanyahu's removal. I mean, [11:22] Biden openly said this. [11:25] He openly called for Netanyahu to be [11:27] replaced. [11:29] The Biden administration was feeding [11:31] money into that flow. Now, in the in [11:33] this in the report put out by the House [11:36] Judiciary Committee, you can see they [11:37] have charts that that track the flow of [11:40] money. So, you can actually see [11:41] many more details than I'm sharing with [11:43] you here. [11:45] But, they were not promoting democracy. [11:48] Okay? What you had here, very simple, [11:51] was a foreign government, the US [11:53] government, [11:54] using taxpayer dollars [11:57] to affect Israeli domestic politics. [12:03] That's what this was. [12:06] And here's what makes it even more [12:07] damning. [12:08] The Israeli protest leaders were openly [12:10] asking for this interference. Here, let [12:12] me show you something. Look at this. [12:15] This is a piece in The Hill [12:18] from [12:20] July 2023, few months before October [12:23] 7th, right? During the height of all [12:25] these protests. [12:27] All right? They The heads of the Blue [12:29] and White Future, the the organization [12:30] that ran the protest headquarters, they [12:32] published an op-ed in The Hill calling [12:35] on the calling on the Biden [12:37] administration to refuse to meet with [12:40] Netanyahu so that [12:43] Netanyahu could, in their words, learn [12:46] the consequences of pursuing judicial [12:48] reform. [12:49] You understand what's happening here? [12:50] They were calling on the leadership of a [12:52] foreign country [12:54] to punish the prime minister of Israel, [12:57] to refuse meetings with him, [12:59] to meddle in our domestic affairs [13:01] because [13:03] because of this dispute over judicial [13:05] reform, a domestic issue. They were not [13:07] hiding it. They were publicly inviting a [13:09] foreign government to use diplomatic [13:11] pressure to bring down their own prime [13:13] minister. [13:15] And Democratic leaders obliged. As I [13:16] said, Biden called for Netanyahu to step [13:20] down or called for him to be replaced. [13:21] He said, "Netanyahu cannot continue down [13:23] this road." And then, after October 7th, [13:26] we saw more this. In March 2024, Senate [13:29] Majority Leader Chuck Schumer went to [13:31] the floor of the Senate and called on [13:33] Israel to hold new elections and remove [13:34] Netanyahu from power. [13:37] Right? He actually Think about that. He [13:38] stood in the floor of the Senate, a [13:40] senator in the United States, and called [13:42] on a different democratic country [13:46] to hold elections, even though the [13:49] government hadn't fallen, it wasn't time [13:50] for elections, [13:52] to hold elections to remove Netanyahu [13:53] from power. The highest-ranking Jewish [13:56] elected official in America [13:57] using the Senate floor to demand regime [14:00] change [14:01] of a democratic ally. [14:04] Even Mitch McConnell, [14:06] I'm not a fan of his, and he's no fan of [14:08] Netanyahu, even Mitch McConnell pushed [14:10] back. [14:12] Cuz he doesn't even like Netanyahu, but [14:13] he pushed back saying, you know, [14:14] Israel's not a colony of America, [14:16] whose leaders serve at the pleasure of [14:18] the party in power in Washington. [14:21] So, let's be clear about what the full [14:22] picture looks like based on these this [14:24] memo that was released. And again, there [14:25] was an earlier memo, a part one that was [14:27] released in uh [14:29] the previous May. [14:31] You can download both documents [14:33] uh at the House Judiciary website. [14:36] These readily left publicly invited [14:39] American interference in domestic policy [14:41] uh politics. The Biden administration [14:44] funded the protest infrastructure [14:46] through NGOs. [14:48] And democratic leaders, from the [14:50] president to the Senate Majority Leader, [14:51] publicly called for Prime Minister [14:53] Netanyahu's removal. [14:56] Okay, this was [14:57] out in the open. You can't even call it [14:59] a covert operation. [15:01] The only thing we didn't know until now [15:02] was how much American taxpayer money was [15:05] flowing through the pipes to make it [15:07] happen. And I want to pause here for a [15:08] moment, [15:09] cuz I think there's a really profound [15:11] irony in all of this that I I think we [15:14] need to say out loud. [15:16] You know, one of the most persistent [15:18] conspiracy theories in the world, [15:21] one that's been around for decades and [15:23] it's and it's become now like you know, [15:26] an accepted way of thinking [15:28] is that Israel controls the United [15:30] States government. Right? That the [15:32] Jewish state pulls the strings in [15:34] Washington. That American politicians [15:36] are puppets of Israeli interests. [15:40] Right? You hear this all the time in [15:41] social media and from [15:44] from politicians. [15:48] Now, [15:49] what this investigation actually reveals [15:51] is [15:53] the opposite actually. It was the [15:55] American government that was funding a [15:57] political operation inside Israel to [16:00] remove Israel's duly elected prime [16:02] minister. [16:03] This wasn't Israel manipulating America. [16:06] This was America manipulating Israel. [16:12] Right? [16:13] The interference in our electoral [16:15] politics was coming from the United [16:17] States. Remember Russia gate? Remember [16:19] the accusations that Russia's involved [16:20] in trying to influence American [16:22] politics? You actually had the United [16:24] States actually doing that to Israel. [16:27] The people who spent years screaming [16:29] about Israeli control of Washington were [16:31] all silent. [16:35] I haven't heard them say anything about [16:36] this, about Washington trying to control [16:38] Israel. [16:40] Think about how we would react if we [16:41] discovered [16:43] if Americans discovered that a foreign [16:45] government had funneled tens of millions [16:47] of dollars and think about the scale. [16:49] Israel's a tiny country. So, the numbers [16:50] I I mentioned here [16:52] are are are you have to inflate them [16:54] considering the fact that Israel's a [16:55] teeny tiny country. [16:58] But imagine if millions of dollars, tens [17:00] of millions of dollars were flowing [17:01] through nonprofits to fund, I don't [17:03] know, Black Lives Matter or the Tea [17:05] Party. It doesn't matter which side [17:07] you're on. [17:08] Whichever side. [17:10] But that it was coming from foreign from [17:12] foreign governments, foreign taxpayer [17:14] dollars, foreign government money was [17:16] coming in. [17:18] And there've been such accusations, and [17:20] it's scandalous if it's true, right? [17:23] The outrage is is uh is is is in place. [17:27] The idea that a foreign power was trying [17:29] to shape American political outcomes [17:31] through NGO funding would be considered [17:33] an attack on American sovereignty, [17:35] wouldn't it? [17:37] Well, guess what? That's exactly what [17:39] happened here. Except it was America [17:41] doing it to Israel. [17:43] And here's the part that I think [17:45] everyone's missing. [17:50] America does run influence operations. [17:53] And we could argue philosophically about [17:56] well, whether running an influence [17:58] operation in a country that is a [18:00] dictatorship, and if you believe [18:02] philosophically in democracy in in the [18:05] importance of the consent of the [18:06] governed, so it is true. I mean, you can [18:08] make the argument that [18:10] non-democratic [18:12] dictatorships are not legitimate. You [18:15] can make that philosophical argument, [18:17] that moral argument. And maybe then [18:19] there's room to say that we should go in [18:21] and influence things to make life better [18:23] for people who are who are not living [18:24] with freedoms. [18:26] But Israel is a democracy. [18:30] It is a free country. [18:32] It's the Middle East's only functioning [18:34] democracy. [18:35] And a sitting American president used [18:38] the machinery of foreign aid [18:40] to try to take down the elected [18:43] government of Israel [18:44] because he disagreed with their domestic [18:47] policy agenda. [18:49] Think about that. [18:52] Anyone who cares about democratic norms [18:55] should be concerned about this. [18:57] Regardless of where you stand on the [18:58] particular issue of judicial reform. [19:01] Anyway, the investigation is still [19:02] ongoing. More documents are coming. This [19:04] is only part two. Some of these [19:06] organizations are still refusing to [19:08] comply. That's also in the report here. [19:11] But what we already know is pretty [19:12] damning. [19:14] And uh that's what I wanted to share [19:15] with you today. I know it's a little bit [19:16] out of the box, a little bit different [19:18] than what we usually talk about, but [19:20] it's a very important story that I [19:23] again, it got almost no attention. And [19:25] that's what I'm trying to do here. So, [19:27] thank you. Please like, share, [19:28] subscribe, do all that great stuff. [19:30] And um and drop a comment. Let me know [19:32] what you thought of this, what you think [19:33] of this issue. [19:35] God bless.
