Transcript [00:00] So comedians always have a unique [00:01] perspective on the world and politics. [00:03] It's a mix of unfiltered [00:06] childlike honesty with the critical [00:08] examination of the philosopher. This is [00:10] Yohai Sponder and is early comedian on [00:13] the attempted hijacking of the flight [00:15] from Dubai to Tel Aviv. [00:18] >> You know when you're flying [00:20] they tell you before landing weird [00:22] things that you have to do [00:25] that it's never makes sense. They wake [00:26] you up even sometimes. Sir, [00:28] sir, wake up. What? You have to [00:30] straighten your seat before landing. [00:33] That's why they wake you up, guys, to [00:34] straighten your seat. [00:38] Look, here you dead. [00:43] And here you alive. [00:45] That's why [00:48] they woke 750 people up [00:53] to save your life here. [00:56] True that. [00:58] And then half an inch more [01:01] immortality. [01:04] But to check that the pilot is not a [01:06] terrorist, that's too much for [01:13] What a stupid world. [01:16] What a stupid world. [01:19] And people came up with conspiracy [01:21] theories. The Israeli government did it, [01:22] the Mossad. And I I laugh. I laugh. [01:27] I can't get it, you know, it's such an [01:28] insane situation that you say, come on, [01:31] a plumber, come on, man. [01:35] Cuz people don't really know our [01:36] culture. I know Israelis. I know a [01:38] plumber can do that. [01:40] I know. [01:42] Guys, most of the Israelis, [01:43] professionally, they don't have tool [01:45] box. Professionally, they're going to a [01:46] place and fix stuff with their hands. [01:52] Stop. [01:57] We know it makes sense. [01:59] A A plumber took the you know took the [02:01] terrorist down and and tied him with a [02:04] wire of a headphone. [02:09] And then this sweet Indian [02:11] pilot the Smith matcher God bless him [02:14] and please be well soon and all that [02:16] blessing. Yes. Yes. [02:18] >> [applause] [02:22] [cheering] [02:23] >> They got a dentist to take care of him. [02:28] If you ask me [02:30] a plumber landing an airplane and a [02:32] dentist [02:34] as a doctor is the same gap. [02:39] I'm just imagining you know after you [02:41] got injured really bad that the the the [02:42] pilot and you got to see the don't worry [02:44] I'M A DENTIST. WHAT? [02:49] NO, [02:49] get out of here, man. [02:51] You get a real doctor. It's an airplane [02:53] full of Jews. Give me a doctor. What are [02:54] you [02:55] You joking me? [02:58] No, it's okay. I can't I can't get a [03:00] Come on. I don't have cavities. Go. Go. [03:02] Go. [03:06] So insane what happened there. They tied [03:08] him up. They took care of him. They [03:10] landed the airplane. They had also a [03:12] accountant. They came and did the taxes [03:14] to [03:15] have a [03:17] A mohel chopped this thing and they [03:20] With the other wire they wrapped it up. [03:25] So I went on the airplane to come here [03:27] and I took a a plunger with me. If you [03:30] saw that [03:32] If you saw the post I did a post on [03:33] Instagram. You saw that? Yeah. So I took [03:36] a plunger [03:37] and I'm sitting I posted on Instagram [03:39] and my friend Jackie she texted me, [03:41] "Wow, this is so insane. How they let [03:43] you go through security? How they let [03:44] you [03:45] sit there with a plunger in the [03:47] airplane?" [03:48] I'm telling you a terrorist pilot that [03:49] is not allowed in Israel doesn't have [03:51] visa to come as a tourist. He took an [03:53] airplane and the plunger is the problem. [03:58] And I saw the the interview with these [04:00] two heroes, the Israelis that took care [04:02] of the situation, and they said that [04:04] after they tied him up and they took [04:05] care of the of the of the Indian pilot [04:08] and everything, they said that the staff [04:12] of the airplane [04:13] they said that from now on we're going [04:16] to take control of the situation. [04:20] So, [04:20] to be told in with the thick with the [04:23] thick English accent not that mine is [04:26] amazing, but I'm just saying [04:28] he told him, "No, no, no, it's we have [04:32] you don't we have control, you don't [04:36] we do everything, you don't do anything, [04:38] okay?" [04:40] And they start to argue, "No, this is [04:42] our airplane, this is our thing, we need [04:43] to take Listen. [04:47] We tried yours. [04:50] And now [04:53] and now we take control of the [04:55] situation, okay? [04:57] >> [applause] [05:03] >> And that's exactly what happened in the [05:04] world. We tried theirs method and now I [05:07] think Jews it's time for Jews to control [05:09] the world. It's time. [05:11] We tried theirs. [05:13] It's not working. [05:16] Listen, there are two main groups in the [05:17] world. Those who think we already [05:18] control it, so they won't be mine. [05:23] And those that don't know or they don't [05:24] care, so don't We're just going to tell [05:26] them what to do. [05:29] I see [05:32] >> Okay, that was Yossi Spinoza again. Um [05:34] Israeli comedian, absolutely love this [05:36] guy's sense of humor with the you know [05:37] very thick Israeli accent in his [05:39] English, the giant Magen David on his [05:41] chest, and his comedic spin on the most [05:43] serious of events. [05:45] Um [05:46] There are people obviously out there who [05:48] say that this whole thing was like some [05:49] Israeli hoax and the Mossad did it for [05:51] some mysterious reason. Um that there's [05:54] no logical way that, you know, a plumber [05:57] could have landed the plane and all, you [05:59] know, that the plane flight could have [06:00] landed safely after all of those [06:02] occurrences on board. You know, it's [06:04] always the Mossad or the these genies [06:06] that are Israel had and the Jews have at [06:08] their disposal, apparently. Um you know, [06:11] these fools have not seen the [06:14] gotten a chance to learn the miracle of [06:15] Jewish history, how the survival against [06:18] all odds, thank God, and we're still [06:20] here thanks to that. Uh despite all the [06:22] odds and all the nations out there [06:24] against us. I don't know if any other [06:26] people in the world would have been able [06:27] to undergo the exiles and the [06:29] persecutions that Jewish people have [06:30] gone through and still managed to stay [06:32] together as a unique people, thriving [06:34] against all odds, and brought back to [06:35] their ancient homeland just as their [06:37] scriptures have foretold. Um however, [06:40] again, it's not just the haters could [06:41] that could use um, you know, a history [06:43] lesson in our history. Uh sometimes I [06:45] think we should also pay more attention [06:47] to the numerous miracles that have [06:49] happened along the way throughout our [06:50] history, uh which helped us um, you [06:53] know, [06:54] to come to where we are today. You know, [06:56] dedicated, uncompromising, loving, [06:58] daring, alive, and definitely with a [07:00] sense of humor. Am Yisrael Chai.
