Transcript [00:00] A lot happened over the weekend, but I'm [00:01] guessing the stories that captured your [00:03] news feeds were either from France or [00:05] Judea and Samaria. Both involving riots [00:08] and whether you knew it or not, both [00:09] involving Jews. Surprised? Well, you [00:12] shouldn't be because after all, no Jews, [00:14] no news. Here are just a few of the [00:18] headlines that captured the world over [00:20] the weekend. The New York Times, France [00:22] in shock after protests turned into [00:24] riots, damaging buildings and shops. Fox [00:27] News photos show aftermath of riots as [00:29] mass groups clash with police all across [00:32] France. At the same time, there were [00:35] these headlines. The BBC, Israeli [00:37] settlers attack Palestinians in West [00:39] Bank during Olive Harvest. Wall Street [00:42] Journal. Masked Israeli settlers attack [00:44] European diplomats in the West Bank. Do [00:47] you see some similarities going on here? [00:49] Masked individuals in France. Actually, [00:53] 800,000 of them. 800,000 riers. Yeah, [00:56] that's right. Like massive massive riots [00:59] in Europe. Also, masked Israeli [01:02] settlers. Well, there's no evidence that [01:05] these masked individuals in these [01:07] stories we're about to talk about in [01:08] Judea and Samaria were Israeli settlers. [01:11] Um, but the world doesn't care. They [01:13] want to put uh Israeli settlers, in [01:15] other words, Jews who live in Judea and [01:17] Samaria on the same level as 800,000 [01:20] riers who are burning France to the [01:23] ground. [01:24] France literally was burning to the [01:26] ground over the weekend. I don't think I [01:27] have to tell you, as I'm sure you saw [01:29] the videos and stories coming out of [01:31] Europe showing cities actually on fire, [01:34] historical buildings absolutely burnt, [01:37] uh, synagogues vandalized, Jewish [01:39] institutions institutions targeted. Um, [01:42] there's even evidence and and uh claims [01:44] that in some areas and specific streets, [01:47] it was only Jewish businesses and [01:50] locations that were targeted with riers [01:52] actually having lists of the Jewish [01:54] businesses on the street and while [01:56] leaving Muslim and other businesses [01:57] completely alone. But we're talking mass [02:00] asalants beating, burning, wreaking [02:01] chaos and havoc all across European [02:04] cities. In the meantime, one of France's [02:06] mayors [02:08] at the same time, meaning this very [02:09] weekend, he was on an overseas [02:11] diplomatic mission, which just so [02:13] happened to be in Judea and Samaria, [02:15] where he entered a sensitive area [02:17] without coordinating with the IDF or any [02:20] local government officials, and as a [02:22] result got himself a beating, also by [02:25] masked asalants. In another incident, [02:27] Washington Post photographer Heidi [02:29] Lavine was also severely injured while [02:31] at a riot that had broken out between [02:34] Israelis and Arabs at the site of an [02:36] olive harvest in Judea and Samaria. To [02:39] be clear, I don't condone these acts of [02:41] violence and I sincerely hope that the [02:42] criminals who injured both the French [02:44] mayor and the Washington Post [02:46] journalists are caught and punished [02:48] according to Israeli law. And I hope and [02:50] pray that both of these individuals make [02:52] a full recovery. Our team has spent [02:54] years living and working here in Israel. [02:56] And we put some of what we've learned [02:57] into a book called Facing Jerusalem. [03:00] It's not academic. It's a very easy to [03:02] read book. It's full of our own personal [03:03] stories, and it lays out why every [03:05] Christian should care about Israel and [03:07] what Jerusalem's role actually is in the [03:10] story of redemption. We've sold over [03:12] 3,000 copies. It's usually $15, but [03:15] right now it's 20% off. So, you can grab [03:17] your copy now before they fly off the [03:20] shelf. You can get yours today using the [03:22] QR code on the screen or click the link [03:24] in the description below. As you know, [03:26] all the proceeds from our online store [03:28] go straight to our volunteer work here [03:30] on the ground in Israel. Get your copy [03:32] today. Now, some facts as to what [03:36] happened in the so-called violent West [03:38] Bank over the weekend. So, Amit Seel is [03:42] one of Israel's foremost conservative [03:44] commentators, both in Hebrew and in [03:45] English, and his work is read quite [03:47] widely. uh but he's a very good source [03:49] when it comes to understanding what is [03:52] happening inside of Israel regarding the [03:53] events that took place place over the [03:55] weekend. I'll read you some quotes from [03:57] his newsletter on Sunday yesterday. At [04:00] 7, he says, quote, "At 7:35 a.m., [04:03] according to an Israeli emergency [04:04] response group, a shepherd from the [04:06] Malay Auvia farm was hit by stones in [04:09] the farm's grazing land near Taibbe. He [04:12] was lightly hurt and got himself to [04:13] treatment." Residents say the harvesters [04:16] began on Deer Jaer's land and then [04:18] crossed into pasture the IDF had [04:20] approved for the farm. So, in case you [04:22] can't follow what's happening here, [04:24] first, a Jewish shepherd is attacked by [04:26] Arabs and injured, and Arabs at the same [04:29] time were supposed to be harvesting [04:31] olives in their own areas, decided to [04:33] leave that olive harvest and cross over [04:35] into an Israeli uh farm, a farm that, by [04:38] the way, is under uh approval and [04:41] coordination by the Israeli government [04:43] and the IDF. Uh definitely peaceful [04:46] sounding people. Definitely not trying [04:48] to provoke anyone. I am sure. Another [04:51] quote from Amit Segel's newsletter says, [04:53] "Palestinians for their part claim that [04:55] settlers advanced on their harvest under [04:56] IDF guard firing live rounds." That is [05:00] highly unlikely. The IDF does not go [05:02] around advancing on civilians while [05:04] firing live rounds. Do you remember the [05:07] violent attack from a few months ago [05:08] where a security guard from Kavat Gilad [05:11] just down the road from our studio was [05:13] killed not that long ago? Like just a [05:15] few months ago. The reason he was killed [05:17] is because the IDF were so hesitant to [05:19] shoot live rounds. They were standing [05:22] right there watching the whole thing [05:23] unfold. Because they have so many uh [05:26] they have they have protocol they have [05:28] to follow. They didn't open fire until [05:30] after the security guard was hit and [05:33] killed. [05:35] Amit Segel also said the second incident [05:37] took place 6 hours after the Mali Auvia [05:39] clash a few kilometers away. A little [05:42] before 1:30 p.m., masked men with metal [05:44] bars descended on a delegation of [05:45] Belgian, French, and Polish diplomats in [05:47] Taibbeay. [05:49] And this was the French mayor that I [05:51] referenced in the beginning of the [05:52] video. So, reportedly, a car window was [05:54] smashed. Members of the group of [05:56] diplomats were beaten. If you look at [05:58] video footage and photos that are [06:00] circling online, you'll see one masked [06:03] person taking a swing at one of the [06:04] diplomats at one point. And then other [06:06] photos and videos show several masked [06:08] individuals walking up to a group of [06:10] cars and diplomats uh talking to them. [06:13] And one of the diplomats is sitting on [06:15] the ground in one of the videos holding [06:16] his arm. And several masked individuals [06:18] in another video are seen telling [06:20] several cars to turn around and go back [06:22] to where they came from. That's that [06:24] incident. Now another incident that [06:26] happened over the weekend. I told you it [06:28] was a busy busy weekend. And this is [06:30] also a quote from Amit Segel's [06:32] newsletter said, "According to the [06:34] Binyamin Regional Council, hundreds of [06:36] quote terrorists and anarchists threw [06:38] stones and fired fireworks directly at [06:40] Israelis. Palestinian authority vehicles [06:42] were allegedly on hand." So you have uh [06:46] Arabs and anarchists, which could be [06:48] European left-wing activists, it could [06:50] be uh any any left-wing activist, right, [06:53] throwing stones at Israelis and firing [06:57] fireworks at them. And then you have PA [06:58] authority vehicles which if they were [07:00] there should have been working to keep [07:01] the peace because that's their [07:03] obligation under the Oslo Accords, [07:04] right? And then uh and according to the [07:08] Binyamin Regional Council, left-wing [07:10] activists had organized the [07:12] confrontation so that the cameras could [07:13] film the Israeli response, which is [07:15] something that is very common [07:17] unfortunately. Then according to one [07:19] person, 50 Israelis responded. They [07:21] reportedly were massed. Some set trees [07:23] on fire. son threw stones at the Arabs [07:25] who then responded by throwing more [07:27] stones and the situation seems to have [07:29] escalated into a full-scale riot. And [07:31] that brings us to the story that you've [07:33] definitely heard about of the Washington [07:36] Post photographer who was caught in the [07:38] middle of the fray. Uh Heidi Lavine, and [07:42] you can see in the the video that's all [07:43] over the internet now, was caught right [07:45] in the middle of this ruckus that was uh [07:48] started by leftwing activists and [07:50] Palestinians. And then Israelis [07:51] responded very harshly and violently and [07:54] then it turned into a full-scale riot. [07:56] Heidi Lavine was right in the middle. [07:58] She was pushed down. She had her [07:59] equipment stolen and she ended up in the [08:01] hospital with a broken rib, broken [08:02] vertebrae, and a finger that needs [08:05] surgery. So, as an update, as of this [08:08] morning, Israeli police have apprehended [08:10] and arrested 10 suspects in their [08:13] investigation from these incidents [08:15] connected to the riots over the weekend. [08:18] Israel Police Commissioner Daniel Levy [08:20] said in a statement, quote, "The law in [08:22] Judea and Samaria applies to everyone [08:24] regardless of identity or affiliation, [08:26] the Israel police is committed to [08:28] professional, equal, and impartial law [08:30] enforcement based on evidence and in [08:33] accordance with the law." Now, as awful [08:36] as this particular event was, and uh [08:38] there's no excuse for a journalist, [08:40] especially a woman, to be the victim of [08:41] violence by anyone, let's remember that [08:44] this entire thing was begun by Arabs and [08:47] anarchists. According to the Binyamin [08:48] Regional Council, Amit Segel uh summed [08:52] up the entire weekend and all of these [08:54] things that took place really, really [08:56] well when he said, quote, "The olive [08:58] harvest in particular offers the [09:00] international media a golden opportunity [09:02] to write its favorite story with images [09:05] to match ancient trees, grandmothers on [09:07] ladders, and masked young men cresting [09:10] the ridge. The farmer is old, the [09:12] settler is new, and the olive tree is a [09:14] symbol of the former's indigenous [09:16] connection to the land. The PA and its [09:18] supporting cast of NOS's understand this [09:20] visual language well. They not only rush [09:23] to the fields to document any potential [09:25] clashes, but use the tree as a key [09:27] weapon in the struggle over the [09:29] territory. The PA buys hundreds of [09:31] thousands of olive saplings and [09:32] distributes them free to Palestinians to [09:34] plant at strategic points. Under the [09:37] Ottoman law still in force in Judea and [09:39] Samaria, land cultivated for a decade [09:41] can be claimed. That's exactly the story [09:45] that's being that has been perpetrated [09:47] from Judea and Samaria for decades. And [09:50] that's exactly the story that [09:51] well-funded NOS's know tell so well and [09:55] are received by so well by international [09:57] audiences. And that's exactly the story [10:00] that the media also knows sells so well. [10:04] And that's why they show up in Israel at [10:07] this very time every single year. Facts. [10:11] Olive harvest is a time every year when [10:14] the Arabs in the region stir up as much [10:16] violence as possible. The IDF knows [10:18] this. Israel security agencies, the [10:20] media knows this. And that's why they [10:22] all show up in mass. And when I say the [10:24] IDF shows up, they like they know they [10:26] have to increase their um presence in [10:30] Judea and Samaria during olive harvest [10:32] because there's going to be violence, [10:33] riots, and protests. NOS's show up [10:36] literally from other countries this time [10:38] of year because they know it's a time of [10:40] year that the Arabs are going to be [10:41] violent. And the media also shows up. [10:44] It's a known fact uh that anti-Israel [10:47] NOS's, diplomats, left-wing activists [10:49] travel to Judea and Samaria from all [10:50] over the world because they know that [10:53] this time of year, October and November, [10:55] are when they will get the juiciest [10:56] stories to publish to the world. fires, [10:59] rocks being thrown, masked faces, and [11:01] they could twist the narrative however [11:02] they want due to clever camera angles [11:04] and editing uh however they want. And by [11:07] the way, this is also personal [11:09] experience that we've had. We we used to [11:11] help harvest olives for Israeli farmers [11:14] in Judea and Samaria, and we've had [11:16] these left-wing uh activists show up and [11:19] shout in our face and and uh you know, [11:21] yell and scream that you know, we were [11:23] on stealing Arab land and things. And [11:25] this is on like a full-fledged is area [11:28] C, you know, Israeli farm. No, no [11:32] disputes whatsoever, right? And we've [11:34] also had personal experience with Pywood [11:36] when we caught the fake riot on camera. [11:38] You guys remember several years ago, we [11:40] published that very viral piece on the [11:43] Israel guys YouTube channel. The news [11:45] media will publish stories telling you [11:47] that violent settlers are attacking [11:48] Palestinians who are just trying to [11:50] harvest their family's olives, which [11:51] they depend on for their livelihood. [11:53] They'll show you distorted images and [11:55] facts, all of which many much of which [11:57] is staged to garner the greatest amount [11:58] of sympathy and emotion from the viewer. [12:01] Uh, and some of these events are likely [12:03] going to be staged or provoked from [12:04] Palestinians or anti-Israel NOS's [12:06] themselves. I want to read you a bit of [12:08] a statement from the prime minister's [12:10] office here in Israel and when they [12:11] said, quote, "We urge caution before [12:14] drawing conclusions from today's report [12:16] that European diplomats were attacked by [12:18] masked Israelis in Judea and Samaria. [12:21] Any violence against diplomats is [12:23] unacceptable. The more serious the [12:24] accusation, the greater the demand for [12:26] compelling evidence. The diplomatic [12:29] delegation entered a sensitive area with [12:31] a history of confrontations without [12:32] prior coordination with the IDF as [12:35] officially confirmed by the military. [12:37] Such coordination is essential to [12:39] protecting visiting diplomats and [12:40] preventing violence. The visit included [12:42] Bernard Badisa, a French Communist Party [12:45] mayor who previously raised the [12:47] Palestinian flag over his municipal [12:49] building, prompting French authorities [12:51] to order its removal. In case you didn't [12:54] catch all that, this is the French mayor [12:56] who is not in France when his country is [12:59] burning to the ground by 800,000 riers [13:02] and violent people. Instead, he's at an [13:05] olive harvest in Judea and Samaria. Uh, [13:08] and this is a guy who's previously like [13:10] been very anti-Israel, even having the [13:13] Palestinian flag ordered removed from [13:15] his from his own municipal building by [13:17] the French authorities. That's how [13:19] anti-Israel and provocative this guy is. [13:21] But no, he's not in France when France [13:23] is burning down. He's at an olive [13:25] harvest in Judea and Samaria. Uh, not [13:27] coordinating with the IDF, not [13:29] coordinating with Israel or with the [13:30] proper authorities, but trying to enter [13:32] a sensitive area. I want to read you one [13:34] more quote from Amit Seagel. And by the [13:36] way, if you're not subscribed to his [13:37] newsletter, make sure you do so. It's [13:39] called It's Noon in Israel. Very uh [13:42] great newsletter coming out every single [13:43] day. He said, "As many defenders of the [13:46] settlements in uh including myself, are [13:48] quick to point out, the vast majority of [13:50] the roughly half million Israelis in [13:52] Judea and Samaria have never thrown a [13:54] stone. Israeli security officials put [13:57] the violent hardcore at a few hundred, [13:59] around 70 of them leaders. They know [14:01] their names and they have mapped the 14 [14:03] outposts they operate from. There you [14:06] have it. Uh it's a few hundred people in [14:09] Judea and Samaria out of over half a [14:12] million that are these violent people. [14:14] And no, they're not settlers. They're [14:16] criminals. Anyone who commits violence [14:19] is a criminal and they're being dealt [14:20] with. Like I said, as of this morning, [14:22] they've already arrested 10 people in [14:24] these investigations from what happened [14:26] over the weekend. And it would be wrong [14:29] of me to just group an entire group of [14:32] people, over half a million of them, [14:34] into one category and just say it's the [14:37] violent settlers that are at fault. No, [14:39] there's criminals that are doing [14:41] criminal acts and they're being dealt [14:43] with under Israeli law. So, in [14:46] conclusion, guys, and this is really [14:48] important, so don't miss this. The media [14:50] and your feeds are filled with the [14:51] headlines claiming violent settlers are [14:53] once again attacking Palestinians, [14:56] beating journalists, and harassing [14:58] diplomats. In the meantime, the Israeli [15:00] police and security services have been [15:02] busy tracking down and arresting [15:04] suspects according to Israeli law [15:06] because Israel is a democratic country [15:08] with laws against violence. In the [15:10] meantime, did you know that over 200 [15:13] Palestinians attacked a group of 40 [15:15] Israelis this past week? Did you know an [15:17] Israeli shepherd was attacked just this [15:20] last week? Did you know that in the last [15:21] week alone there have been over 40 [15:23] attacks by Arabs in Judea and Samaria [15:26] against Jews? Many of them rock [15:28] throwings. Some of these stories were uh [15:31] for instance, did you hear about the [15:32] flock of sheep that was stolen from an [15:34] Israeli farm in Beyamin last night? What [15:36] about the stonethrowing attack that [15:38] happened on the biblical highway highway [15:39] 60 near Jerusalem just over the weekend? [15:42] And what about the Israeli resident who [15:44] was riding an ATV just a mile or so from [15:47] where I'm sitting right now from our [15:48] studios and was attacked by 10 Arabs and [15:51] left-wing activists, some of them [15:52] masked. And when the Israeli tried to [15:55] escape from his ATV, his attackers tried [15:57] to run him over with a tractor. I say, [15:59] hate to say it again, but as always [16:01] guys, no Jews, no news. Guys, don't [16:05] forget to pick up a copy of Facing [16:07] Jerusalem by clicking the link in the [16:09] description below. Make sure you [16:10] subscribe to the channel and have those [16:12] notifications turned on. And as always, [16:15] thanks for watching.
