Transcript [00:00] October 7 in the morning, I'm getting a [00:02] phone call from my sister. She was in [00:05] Kibutz Arez Kibutz Arez in the south [00:08] just near Gaza. She's telling me, "Le, [00:11] I'm in the shelter with knives. Please [00:13] come and save me." And I didn't know [00:15] what to do because I didn't know what [00:16] happening. I was just I was just waking [00:18] up and I and I was watching the TV and I [00:20] was watching the the news on my phone [00:22] and I realized what's happening there in [00:24] Israel and I couldn't help her. and she [00:26] was there with her son and she was [00:28] holding a knife waiting for the [00:30] terrorist to come to the shelter. I was [00:32] like a lion in a cage and then knock on [00:35] the door and someone tells me listen 150 [00:37] people waiting for you you have to do [00:38] their your speech. So oh and the guy who [00:41] was to supposed to interview me was the [00:43] son of the adviser of Yaserat. So I [00:46] asked him I asked him not to come and [00:49] and actually what I did I took my phone [00:51] and I connected it to the screen and I [00:54] didn't speak I just showed them what's [00:55] going on in Israel. I went you know [00:57] Israel is the only country in the world [00:59] when there is a war people instead of [01:01] running away from the country. Everyone [01:03] wants to get into the country. So I [01:05] didn't have a flight because all the [01:07] soldiers all the volunteers we all just [01:09] wanted to go back to Israel to help and [01:11] to save our country. I called Al went [01:13] back to Israel in the night of October 7 [01:16] in the morning. I didn't know what to do [01:18] because I felt that I I I have to do [01:21] something because you see that there is [01:23] still terrorists in the terrorist in the [01:25] south. Nobody knew what's going on. So I [01:28] took my car, I took my gun and I went to [01:31] the south. I told my wife that I'm going [01:33] to a friend of mine. So I went to the [01:35] south. There was there like a [01:37] headquarter of of people that calling [01:40] aim. They asked who have a gun, who have [01:43] a jeep? And I said, I have. And I said, [01:44] guys, we need to rescue some families in [01:47] the road. They're surrounded by [01:48] terrorists. The missiles are coming down [01:49] on them. They don't have electricity. [01:52] The night is coming. Please go and and [01:54] just take them. They gave me the [01:56] addresses. First time I went, there was [01:58] a family of blind people that didn't [02:01] know what to do. And I just uh took them [02:03] from it was it was dawn. was before [02:06] night. But I did nothing compared to the [02:09] people and the soldiers that was [02:10] fighting there for so long. For me, it [02:12] was like two days of fighting. For them, [02:15] it was like 200 days or more. more than [02:17] 200. There's two years of fighting.
