Transcript [00:00] After everything that you witnessed, [00:01] what do you want people around the world [00:02] to understand about October the 7th and [00:05] the people whose lives were changed [00:07] forever? [00:07] >> You can be a 62-year-old man, as I was [00:11] at that time, and have some deep-seated [00:14] feelings about whatever [00:16] issue you think you've come to truly [00:19] understand, you can experience something [00:22] like going to Israel [00:24] and being immersed in [00:27] the atrocities, seeing firsthand, [00:29] witnessing what was going on, and then [00:32] being on the ground and seeing rocket [00:34] attacks. You know, I I would call myself [00:36] a lefty progressive, and that started in [00:38] college. [00:40] But then, here I am seeing Israel [00:42] firsthand, seeing the rockets, um and, [00:46] you know, seeing how [00:48] Hamas infiltrated kibbutzim, the Nova [00:52] Festival, and just committed these [00:54] terrible atrocities, and changed me and [00:57] changed my views of Israel. There's a [00:59] second part to it. Part of what we do as [01:01] forensic pathologists is we see what's [01:03] in the morgue. A big part of forensic [01:05] pathology is um the scene. We visited [01:09] Far Aza, we visited Sderot, um and we [01:13] visited the Nova music festival site. [01:16] That really helped me um process what [01:20] was going on in my head.
