Transcript [00:00] Hey everyone. In this video, we are [00:02] going to turn our attention to the Gaza [00:04] Strip. It's kind of been off the radar [00:06] lately, but there's a lot going on [00:08] there. And in fact, it was recently just [00:10] connected to the Iran file by the [00:13] Iranians themselves. Take a look at this [00:15] headline from a couple days ago. Iran [00:17] moves to pull Gaza into US talks amid [00:21] bid to shield proxy network. [00:25] That's right. Iran is reportedly seeking [00:26] to include Gaza in its discussions with [00:28] the United States in an attempt to end [00:31] hostilities in the war-torn enclave as [00:34] the regime seeks to preserve its [00:36] regional proxy network, ramp up pressure [00:39] on Israel, and implement ceasefire [00:41] negotiations. [00:42] On Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Minister [00:44] Abbas Araghchi, that's this past [00:46] Tuesday, told senior Hamas official [00:48] Bassam Naim that the Iranian negotiation [00:50] team will, quote, raise the issue of the [00:52] occupiers' ongoing aggression against [00:54] Gaza with Washington. [00:57] Iran's top diplomat reportedly thanked [01:00] Hamas for its support of the IRGC and [01:03] reiterated Tehran's support for [01:05] Palestinians and their just cause into [01:08] the until their legitimate national [01:10] rights are fully realized. So, what's [01:11] going on here? Very simple. [01:14] The Iranians made a play on Lebanon. All [01:16] right, when they first brought up uh [01:18] Lebanon, they were told [01:21] by [01:22] by President Trump, and of course by the [01:23] Israelis, that the Lebanon situation and [01:25] Iran cannot be connected to each other. [01:27] And Trump initially took that position. [01:29] And then, of course, [01:31] they were very much connected. They're [01:32] so connected that the first clause in [01:34] the 14-point MOU was all about Lebanon. [01:36] And at the negotiations in Geneva the [01:39] other day, J.D. Vance announced proudly [01:42] that we've set up a new deconfliction [01:44] mechanism for all the sides to have [01:46] conversations every time there's some [01:47] escalation in Lebanon. And And that it's [01:50] going to include the Iranians, and it's [01:51] going to include the Americans and the [01:53] Qataris and the Pakistanis, basically [01:55] inviting the Iranians in officially to [01:59] have a role in the Lebanon situation, [02:03] which is of course angering [02:05] uh the Lebanese people. I made a video [02:07] about that uh just yesterday. Make sure [02:09] you see that on this channel about the [02:11] reactions in Lebanon to the to this you [02:14] know to what the Americans did here. [02:16] But I think what it's very simple what [02:18] the Iranians are doing. They saw that [02:19] their play to flex their muscles and and [02:23] uh and use leverage and use the American [02:25] desire for a deal to protect Hezbollah, [02:28] that worked. That play in Lebanon worked [02:30] and they want to make a similar play [02:33] in Gaza to protect Hamas. [02:35] But uh [02:37] things are moving in when it comes to [02:39] the Board of Peace very slowly, very [02:41] ineffectively. But let's take a look at [02:42] what's going on. This is just from a [02:44] couple of days ago from this week from [02:46] June 23rd. Board of Peace members to [02:48] recalibrate at Cyprus resort after rocky [02:51] first 6 months. We're going to go [02:52] through this article. And the the rest [02:54] of the articles will will probably just [02:56] read some excerpts, but this one we [02:57] really have to get through. There's a [02:58] lot in here. [03:00] Representatives from the various bodies [03:02] of the Board of Peace will gather at a [03:04] resort in Cyprus next week [03:07] as the US-led international panel [03:09] overseeing the post-war management of [03:11] Gaza seeks to recalibrate after a rocky [03:14] 6 months since its establishment. [03:17] Meaning [03:19] Here's Here's what Here's the [03:20] paraphrase. [03:21] They haven't gotten much done. There's [03:23] been no real movement. [03:25] And they need to come up with a plan B. [03:27] That's what's happening in Cyprus next [03:29] week. Participants at the gathering will [03:31] include representatives from the Board [03:33] of Peace, the Committee of Palestinian [03:35] technocrats that are supposed to replace [03:37] Hamas governing the Gaza Strip, and the [03:40] Office of the High Representative that [03:42] coordinates between the two bodies. [03:44] An Arab diplomat from one of the [03:45] mediating countries and a Palestinian [03:47] official familiar with the matter [03:49] described the gathering as an [03:51] opportunity for everyone involved to [03:53] reset and recalibrate and get on the [03:55] same page after the past half year [03:58] produced limited results for the people [04:01] of Gaza. [04:03] While the board of peace enjoyed initial [04:05] international support and even a degree [04:07] of buy-in from both Israel and Hamas, [04:10] not really. Hamas said at the outset [04:12] that they're not part of the deal, but [04:13] so be it. The initiative has slowed as [04:16] global attention shifted to the Iran war [04:19] and talks. [04:21] And as talks with Hamas on giving up its [04:23] weapons remain entrenched. In other [04:25] words, Hamas is still refusing to give [04:27] up its its its weapons. [04:30] The terror group argues that Israel [04:31] should first abide by the terms of the [04:33] October ceasefire, which required it to [04:35] halt strikes deep in the Gaza Strip, [04:38] pull back its troops toward the border, [04:40] and allow in more humanitarian aid. [04:46] While a February donor conference in [04:48] Washington brought in $7000000000 in [04:51] pledges, only a tiny fraction of those [04:54] funds have actually been transferred as [04:56] the Gulf countries that offered the [04:58] largest sums were the most targeted by [05:00] Iran in the weeks that followed. [05:03] In what will likely force a budget [05:04] reprioritization. Now, that budget [05:07] reprioritization, folks, is not only [05:10] about, "Oh, they need money for other [05:12] things cuz they haven't sold enough oil [05:14] or they had damage from the war." No, [05:16] no, no. [05:17] And I talked about this in the early [05:18] stages of the war. When Hamas was [05:20] initially putting out statements of [05:22] support for the Iranian regime, when [05:25] they were being attacked by Israel and [05:26] the US, and they were, Hamas was [05:29] cheering on the Iranians, and you saw [05:31] there Abbas Araqchi thanking Hamas for [05:34] their support, the Gulf states that were [05:36] getting attacked by the Iranians, who [05:38] had pledged money for the reconstruction [05:41] of Gaza, [05:42] looked at them and were like, and this [05:43] includes Qatar, and they were like, [05:45] "What are you doing? Why are you backing [05:47] Iran?" [05:49] And it put the it put Hamas and the [05:51] Palestinian and the Palestinians in [05:53] general the Palestinian Authority was [05:54] also stuck here cuz they were kind of [05:56] praising the Iranians. It put them in a [05:57] very tight spot. And it it kind of led [06:01] these Gulf states to say like, "Do I [06:03] really want to be investing money to [06:04] help these people out?" [06:06] Though they're never going to say it [06:07] publicly because publicly they still are [06:09] in favor of a Palestinian state. [06:14] Meanwhile, the Board of Peace is [06:16] subpanel of Palestinian technocrats, the [06:19] National Committee for the [06:20] administration of Gaza, hasn't even [06:23] entered the strip [06:24] amid Hamas's refusal to disarm and amid [06:28] mounting Israeli restrictions on their [06:30] ability to operate, according to two [06:32] Arab diplomats from separate mediating [06:34] countries. The 15-member panel has been [06:36] stuck in Cairo since its establishment [06:38] in January. [06:40] Using the time to craft plans for its [06:42] Gaza launch, meet with Egypt-based and [06:45] visiting diplomats, and even undergo [06:46] several training sessions [06:49] run by Tony Blair. [06:54] And now and here it talks about what's [06:56] holding things up. While the Board of [06:58] Peace official acknowledged that the [06:59] acknowledged that the Iran war had [07:01] slowed progress for several weeks, he [07:04] insisted that the initiative is [07:05] otherwise on track despite Israeli [07:07] violations of the ceasefire and Hamas's [07:10] refusal to give up its weapons. The [07:12] terror group has more recently made [07:14] concessions in disarmament talks, [07:16] putting forward proposals that would see [07:18] it gradually give up some of its weapons [07:21] after previously ruling the idea out [07:23] entirely. However, the offers are [07:25] conditioned on significant progress [07:28] toward the establishment of a [07:29] Palestinian state, a non-starter for [07:31] Israel. Let me just say that this whole [07:32] paragraph [07:34] is a deviation from the Trump 20-point [07:37] plan. [07:38] See, Israel agreed to the Trump 20-point [07:40] plan. And Hamas is now saying, "We're [07:42] only going to disarm a little bit, maybe [07:44] some, if it's tied to progress towards a [07:47] Palestinian state." And we saw earlier [07:49] in the article it said that Hamas is [07:50] demanding that Israel fulfill its [07:52] obligations to withdraw its troops as [07:56] part of the next phase. [07:58] And as we'll see in a moment, though, [07:59] we'll we'll pull up the plan itself and [08:01] you'll see that this has nothing to do [08:03] with the original plan. [08:06] Okay, we're going to [08:07] um [08:11] Now, let's talk about the international [08:12] stabilization force that's supposed to [08:13] come in. [08:15] So, [08:16] the board of peace official said that [08:18] regardless of whether or not Hamas [08:19] accepts the US-backed disarmament [08:21] proposal, [08:22] plans to start construction of temporary [08:25] housing communities, beginning with an [08:27] Emirati-backed project on the ruins of [08:30] the southern Gaza city of Rafa, are [08:32] moving ahead, and construction will [08:34] begin in the next three or four months. [08:38] That area, as well as others initially [08:40] earmarked for installment of temporary [08:42] housing, is located in the gradually [08:44] expanding part of the strip occupied by [08:46] Israel. While the October ceasefire deal [08:49] saw saw Israel pull back its troops to a [08:52] yellow line, roughly dividing the [08:54] enclave into eastern and western halves, [08:56] Israel has since pushed to reoccupy as [08:59] much as 70% of the strip as Hamas [09:02] disarmament talks drag on. [09:05] A Middle East intelligence official said [09:07] mediators don't expect Israel to allow [09:09] even temporary housing structures into [09:12] the strip before the fall elections as [09:14] Netanyahu seeks to maintain a hard line [09:16] on Hamas. Now, let me just say, I'm not [09:19] sure that this is wise. Let me explain [09:21] why. Let me first [09:22] pull up a map so you see what exactly [09:25] I'm talking about. [09:27] Okay, so let's take a look. So, this is [09:29] the map that was put out by the White [09:31] House [09:32] when the 20-point plan was first signed. [09:34] Okay, so that's So, this is a [09:37] again, this is a um [09:39] This is This published by the White [09:40] House. And what you see in here is that [09:43] when that when it was originally signed, [09:47] when the ceasefire first went into [09:49] effect, [09:50] the blue line is where Israel's troops [09:52] were. Israel then pulled back to this [09:54] yellow line here. [09:57] That's the yellow line. [09:59] And that was meant to facilitate the [10:02] release of the hostages and the and the [10:04] and the release of of the of prisoners [10:06] from Israeli prisons. [10:08] And then this red line [10:10] is where Israel's supposed to withdraw [10:13] to after Hamas is demilitarized after [10:16] Hamas is disarmed and the international [10:18] stabilization force starts to move in. [10:21] And it it's even labeled here, "Second [10:23] withdrawal when ISF mobilized per [10:26] standard set in the Trump plan." [10:28] And then there's uh this final [10:31] withdrawal line which allows a buffer [10:33] zone which keeps only a strip of buffer [10:35] around the perimeter in Israeli hands. [10:38] Okay, now Rafa is all the way down here. [10:41] You see where Rafa is. I'm pointing to [10:42] it right now on the yellow line here. [10:44] Now Israel today controls more than this [10:46] yellow line. It controls 70 up to around [10:49] 70% of the Gaza Strip. It's been It's [10:51] been squeezing out Hamas more and more. [10:52] We'll get into that in a moment. [10:55] And [10:56] what the Emiratis want to do what the [10:57] Americans want to do is start building [10:59] housing, temporary housing, in the [11:02] Israeli-controlled areas. And Israel is [11:04] blocking that because they're saying, [11:05] "No, there can be no reconstruction [11:07] until we deal with Hamas." I think it's [11:08] a mistake. Let me explain why. [11:10] I think that what Israel should do is [11:13] allow the building of temporary housing [11:15] in the Israeli-controlled areas. Lots of [11:17] it. Build tons of temporary housing. And [11:21] allow for [11:24] Gazans who are stuck in the [11:25] Hamas-controlled areas to cross over. [11:28] You can have a very uh controlled border [11:31] crossing where you interview people and [11:33] let them cross over and check them. [11:35] And anyone who crosses over is now [11:37] living in an area under full Israeli [11:40] control in that housing and they can get [11:42] all the services and all the food and [11:44] all the and all the everything that they [11:46] need and schooling and whatever else [11:47] they need, medical services. Put it all [11:50] in the Israeli side [11:52] and start moving population out from [11:54] under Hamas's control. This was This was [11:56] the big mistake that Israel made [11:58] throughout the war in Gaza [12:00] was that set up a mechanism to move the [12:03] population out from underneath Hamas's [12:06] control. The original idea of the Gaza [12:08] humanitarian fund, which was that [12:09] American operation distributing food, [12:12] setting up those distribution centers [12:14] out of Hamas controlled areas, was not [12:16] that people would come get their food [12:17] and go back in. The original idea was [12:20] that they would come and get their food [12:21] and stay and that you could only get [12:23] food if you were outside of Hamas [12:25] controlled areas because what keeps [12:26] Hamas powerful is their control over the [12:29] people. If they lose the population, [12:31] they have nothing. [12:34] So, I think Israel should actually push [12:36] forward full steam ahead on setting up [12:38] all kinds of housing and amenities [12:41] and all sorts of carrots to to entice [12:44] Gazans to leave Hamas control and do [12:47] that that way. But listen, there's [12:48] things that I don't understand. Maybe [12:50] there's maybe there's good reasons not [12:51] to do it that way, but that's what I [12:53] think should happen here. [12:54] Anyway, back to this. [12:56] Back to our update. [12:58] Um [13:04] So, in terms of troops for the [13:05] international stabilization force, [13:08] while the Board of Peace has begun [13:09] recruiting for the Gaza police and [13:11] received thousands of applications, the [13:13] Middle East intelligence officials said [13:14] that Israel is refusing to allow [13:16] recruits [13:17] to leave before Hamas has accepted its [13:19] disarmament proposal. And while four [13:21] countries have agreed to contribute [13:23] troops to the ISF, that process too has [13:25] been stalled and deployment is not [13:27] expected before the fall Israeli [13:29] elections. [13:32] Okay, let's leave that there. [13:35] And we also have this from from uh [13:38] from a from 2 weeks ago. Report Hamas [13:41] given deadline to agree to Gaza [13:43] disarmament by end of week. Pressure on [13:45] Hamas is intensifying with diplomats [13:47] telling the New York Times that the [13:49] board of peace representatives will meet [13:50] the group in Cairo to finalize a [13:52] disarmament deal. A senior official [13:55] warned, "Whoever does not cross the [13:56] river will drown in the sea." [13:59] And look what it says down here. [14:04] According to diplomatic officials [14:05] involved in the talks, the international [14:07] body established to oversee a ceasefire [14:09] that has been in place for 6 months is [14:10] demanding that Hamas commit to [14:12] dismantling nearly all of its weapons [14:15] arsenal and provide detailed maps of its [14:17] underground tunnel network. [14:20] Wow. [14:21] And Netanyahu, uh this is from uh from [14:24] about the about a month ago, little [14:26] less, Netanyahu said that he's directed [14:28] the Israeli military to take over 70% of [14:30] Gaza. [14:31] Now wait, isn't that a violation? No, it [14:33] is not. [14:34] Why? Well, let's take a look at the [14:36] original plan. [14:39] Where is the original plan? I thought I [14:40] pulled it up here. [14:42] Okay, we're going to go get the original [14:45] ceasefire the original 20-point plan. [14:48] Here it is. [14:52] Here's the 20-point Gaza peace plan. [14:55] Here's the text of it. [14:57] Now, in according to this text, [15:00] look what it says. It it it talks about [15:02] releasing the hostages at the beginning. [15:06] And then it says, "Once all the hostages [15:08] are returned, Hamas members who commit [15:10] to peaceful coexistence and to [15:11] decommission their weapons will be given [15:14] amnesty. Members of Hamas who wish to [15:16] leave Gaza will be provided safe passage [15:18] to receiving countries." [15:21] Okay, great. [15:23] And then [15:24] it says [15:26] down here, "Hamas and other factions [15:29] agree to not have any role in the [15:32] governance of Gaza directly, indirectly, [15:35] or in any form. [15:37] All military terror and offensive [15:39] infrastructure, including tunnels and [15:41] weapons production facilities, will be [15:43] destroyed and not rebuilt. [15:46] There will be a process of [15:48] demilitarization demilitarization of [15:50] Gaza, meaning disarming Hamas, under the [15:53] supervision of independent monitors, [15:55] which will include placing weapons [15:56] permanently beyond the use [15:59] beyond use through an agreed process of [16:01] decommissioning and supported by an [16:03] internationally funded buyback and [16:05] reintegration program, all verified by [16:07] independent monitors." [16:11] So [16:12] if this is the plan [16:15] if this is the plan [16:17] then [16:18] Hamas is not disarmed, we're not moving [16:20] forward. What's more, these calls for [16:23] Israel to withdraw, take a look at at [16:25] how withdrawal is supposed to work here. [16:27] Israel will not occupy or annex Gaza. As [16:31] the ISF, the International Stabilization [16:34] Force, that's this new security force [16:35] that's yet to be deployed [16:38] as the ISF establishes control [16:42] and stability, this is after Hamas is [16:44] disarmed and removed, and they're not [16:46] allowed to have any role indirectly or [16:49] directly [16:51] in Gaza [16:53] and after they're removed, when the ISF [16:55] comes in [16:57] as they establish control, the the [16:59] Israel Defense Forces will withdraw [17:01] based on standards, milestones, and time [17:04] frames linked to demilitarization, [17:07] meaning linked to the demilitarization, [17:11] the disarming of Hamas, that will be [17:13] agreed upon between the IDF, the ISF, [17:15] the guarantors, and the United States, [17:17] not Hamas, [17:18] cuz they're not part of it. They're [17:19] being removed. [17:21] With the objective of a secure Gaza that [17:23] no longer poses a threat to Israel or [17:25] anyone else. Fine. [17:29] Again, practically, the IDF will [17:31] progressively hand over the Gaza [17:32] territory it occupies to the ISF [17:35] according to an agreement they will make [17:37] with the transitional authority. So, [17:39] these demands by Hamas for Israel to to [17:42] withdraw as a precondition for laying [17:44] down their weapons is not what this deal [17:46] is. And let's be very clear. I'm not [17:48] saying that this deal is a good deal [17:50] in the sense that it'll ever be [17:52] fulfilled. It's full of holes. The [17:53] biggest hole is that it doesn't say how [17:56] Hamas is supposed to be disarmed. It [17:57] just says there will be a process. It'll [18:00] be agreed upon. It doesn't say how it's [18:01] going to happen. [18:03] But let's be clear. This is what Israel [18:05] agreed to. [18:07] Israel does not need to withdraw one one [18:10] one bit. [18:11] Cuz you're going to hear a lot of this [18:12] in the coming days and weeks and months [18:14] ahead. We're already hearing it that [18:15] Israel needs to withdraw. Israel does [18:18] not need to withdraw. Gaza ceasefire [18:20] talks stalled over disarmament demands. [18:22] And this is from an Arab This is from an [18:23] Arab media outlet. Ceasefire [18:25] negotiations in Egypt between [18:27] Palestinian factions and international [18:29] mediators are facing significant [18:30] challenges as Nikolai Mladenov, the high [18:33] representative of the Board of Peace, [18:35] insists that not a single bullet should [18:38] remain in Gaza. Key demands from the [18:40] oversight body include the complete [18:42] disarmament of Hamas, the surrender of [18:44] maps detailing the group's tunnel [18:45] operations, and the relinquishment of [18:48] privately held weapons by Palestinians. [18:50] According to Al Jazeera, the primary [18:53] obstacle to a resolution is the handover [18:55] of Palestinian weapons. Palestinian [18:57] officials argue that the total that the [18:58] demand for total disarmament positions [19:00] Mladenov as a facilitator for Israel's [19:03] maximalist terms. [19:05] A pivotal point in the negotiations is [19:07] clause eight of the October 2025 [19:09] ceasefire plan, which outlines [19:11] disarmament and military infrastructure [19:13] management in post-war Gaza. [19:16] Initially, Hamas expressed willingness [19:18] to discuss the handover of its inventory [19:20] and storage of heavy weapons, a [19:22] departure from its previous stance. [19:23] However, the negotiations hit a snag [19:26] when Mladenov rejected Hamas' proposed [19:29] amendments because they wanted to keep [19:30] weapons and stay in charge. [19:32] Anyway, he when when he when they when [19:34] Mladenov rejected them and aligned with [19:36] Israeli demands for dismantling the [19:38] entire tunnel network operated by the [19:40] Qassam Brigades. That's the military [19:42] wing of Hamas. [19:47] Mladenov has emphasized that the goal is [19:48] to ensure Gaza is devoid of all weapons, [19:51] stating that this includes not only [19:53] organized armed groups, but also [19:54] personal firearms held by individuals. [19:57] The Palestinian factions have firmly [19:58] opposed the total disarmament demand, [20:01] viewing it as an attempt to undermine [20:02] the peace process. [20:04] You can't have a post-Hamas Gaza if [20:07] Hamas still has weapons. [20:09] It's very simple. [20:10] They insisted any disarmament must be [20:11] linked to a comprehensive political [20:13] solution and full Israeli Israeli [20:15] withdrawal from Gaza. You see, they [20:16] insist that disarmament must be linked [20:20] to a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. [20:22] That ain't happening. That's not what [20:23] the plan says, folks. [20:25] And Israel is just taking more of Gaza. [20:27] Why is Israel doing this? Because Israel [20:28] knows how to play the game. If you're [20:30] going to delay and delay and delay and [20:31] stall, we're just going to Israel will [20:33] get rid of Hamas one way or the other. [20:35] When we signed this agreement, Prime [20:36] Minister Netanyahu made it clear at the [20:38] time. He said, "Look, we're willing to [20:40] go along with this. [20:42] But if Hamas is still there and that no [20:43] one else is going to disarm them, we [20:45] will do it ourselves." And that's what [20:47] Israel's doing, quietly, on the down [20:48] low, taking more territory, still [20:50] eliminating Hamas operatives. [20:52] But I think the next thing they should [20:54] do is encourage the population to leave [20:58] the Hamas-controlled areas. I know [21:00] Israel doesn't want to be be controlling [21:02] an area with all these people there for [21:04] all sorts of security reasons. But if [21:05] you really want to get rid of Hamas, [21:07] that's the best way to do it. [21:09] Anyway, that's my opinion. Palestinian [21:11] leaders have voiced their commitment to [21:12] resist pressure regarding the issue. [21:15] Okay, that they're not going to concede. [21:17] And then we have this headline from [21:19] Asharq Al-Awsat. This is a [21:21] an Arab uh outlet that's out of the UK, [21:24] actually. Hamas inclined toward positive [21:26] response to Moladnov's amendments. Not [21:28] really. And I mean the headline says [21:30] that they're inclined towards a positive [21:32] response. Moladnov's amendments were you [21:34] got to you got to disman- not a bullet, [21:37] right? You got to dismantle all the [21:38] weapons. [21:39] So, what does it say down here? [21:41] Despite all the criticisms, [21:43] all three sources said that Hamas and [21:45] the factions are generally inclined to [21:47] engage constructively with the revised [21:50] proposal. They're expected to submit [21:52] comments and additional amendments aimed [21:55] at strengthening implementation of the [21:56] original agreement. [21:59] A formal response is expected within [22:00] days. According to Hamas officials, the [22:02] movement's leadership seeks to build on [22:04] recent understand- standings reached in [22:05] Cairo [22:07] to secure permanent end to the war and [22:09] alleviate humanitarian suffering. A [22:12] Hamas source outside outside the Gaza [22:15] Strip said negotiators are working [22:16] toward an agreement that would prevent [22:18] Israel from maintaining long-term [22:20] security control or creating a security [22:22] vacuum by limiting weapons while [22:25] continuing military operations either [22:27] directly or through armed groups that [22:29] Hamas and other factions insist must be [22:31] dismantled. So, you see Hamas, let me [22:33] explain this. Hamas is insisting that [22:36] anyone else with weapons has to has to [22:38] lay down their weapons. Because there [22:40] are other armed groups in the Gaza [22:42] Strip. Some of them have been armed by [22:43] the Israelis. Opposition to Hamas. [22:46] So, they're insisting that those guys [22:47] get disarmed. They don't want to lay [22:48] down their weapons, but they're [22:49] insisting that they get disarmed. [22:52] And they want and they want uh [22:56] They want to prevent Israel from having [22:58] long-term security control. But as I [22:59] showed you on that map, Israel's going [23:01] to have to maintain long-term security [23:02] control. That is a fact. That's not [23:04] going That's not going to change. [23:07] Meanwhile, what's been going on in the [23:08] Gaza Strip, we have a UN report. Now, [23:11] the UN is usually uh Hamas's best [23:13] friend, so coming from the UN [23:17] in Gaza [23:19] This is from just a couple weeks ago. [23:20] The a UN inquiry reports Hamas abuses [23:23] against Palestinians. A report published [23:26] Tuesday, June 9th, under the auspices of [23:28] the United Nations, details abuses [23:31] committed by the Islamist group to [23:33] eliminate opposition and control Gaza [23:36] targeting rival clans and alleged [23:37] collaborators [23:39] with Israel. [23:41] Public summary executions, limbs broken [23:44] with iron bars, sexual violence, [23:46] humiliation, these are some of the acts [23:48] described in a report published under [23:50] the auspices of the United Nations [23:53] on Tuesday, June 9th. The International [23:55] Commission of Inquiry on the occupied [23:57] Palestinian territory, including East [23:59] Jerusalem and Israel, gave a detailed [24:01] account of violence perpetrated over the [24:03] past 2 years by Hamas against [24:06] Palestinian civilians in Gaza. [24:08] Hamas used these these punishments [24:11] as a tool to eliminate opposition and [24:13] control Gaza. [24:15] The commission stated, describing some [24:16] of the acts as war crimes and violations [24:19] of international law. It's kind of [24:20] absurd to talk about Hamas violating [24:22] international law. They're a terrorist [24:24] group. [24:25] The commission identified 249 individual [24:28] cases of executions or severe physical [24:30] violence between August 2024 and January [24:33] 2026, which means well after the [24:36] ceasefire, they were still doing this, [24:38] resulting in 108 deaths and 384 wounded [24:40] among Palestinians. [24:42] And that's only a portion of the [24:43] victims. [24:46] Okay, so [24:47] that's one thing going on. Now, in terms [24:49] of the the ISF, Moroccan contingent [24:51] arrives in Israel to join the [24:53] international Gaza force. This [24:55] uh uh, fits in interestingly with the [24:57] video I made a video a few days ago [24:59] that, uh, [25:01] hopefully you've seen if you follow this [25:02] channel. Very important video about [25:04] Morocco. Little off the radar, but [25:06] Morocco is an important player in the [25:08] Middle East and about the relationship [25:09] between Morocco and the United States [25:11] and Israel and what their role is. [25:13] Israel, suffice it to say that Israel [25:15] has a very trusting friendly [25:17] relationship with Morocco and Morocco [25:19] has sent troops and they've arrived. But [25:22] they're now in Israel kind of, you know, [25:24] holding pattern like everyone else the [25:26] international stabilization force is not [25:28] moving in. [25:30] Uh, but we have Moroccan troops that [25:32] have arrived. [25:33] And [25:35] there we go. [25:36] So that's what I wanted to, uh, wanted [25:38] to share with you that, uh, there's [25:40] there are some you know, the talks are [25:42] still ongoing. [25:44] Bottom line is this, where do we stand? [25:45] Iran is trying to use the same leverage [25:48] they used, uh, to to save Hezbollah, to [25:51] save Hamas. They're trying that. [25:53] Meanwhile, the board of peace is [25:56] meeting again in Cyprus and they're [25:57] trying to get past this deadlock. [26:00] Mladenov, the high commissioner, the [26:02] high off, whatever his title is, the guy [26:04] who was in charge of this whole thing, [26:05] the board of peace and all that, he's [26:07] ramping up the pressure on Hamas to [26:09] disarm. Meanwhile, the Israelis are not [26:11] waiting around, they're taking more and [26:12] more of the Gaza Strip, moving in there, [26:14] trying to squeeze out Hamas. They're [26:16] still eliminating Hamas leaders and and [26:18] Hamas always calls that violations of [26:19] the ceasefire. It's not violations of [26:21] the ceasefire. No one else is getting [26:23] rid of Hamas. It's the only way to do [26:24] it. Is that this 20-point plan was [26:27] supposed to be implemented a long time [26:28] ago and Israel said at the outset, "If [26:30] you're not going to disarm Hamas, we're [26:32] going to do it. We're not just going to [26:33] entrust our security to this impotent [26:35] board of peace that's not actually going [26:37] to do the job." The 20-point plan is [26:40] very clear. Hamas must disarm before [26:43] anything else can happen. [26:45] It's a precondition and it even says [26:47] that they can have no role in the [26:49] governance of Gaza either directly or [26:51] indirectly and now they're negotiating [26:54] or which weapons they're going to give [26:56] up and are they going to give up their [26:57] weapons that that that that [26:59] it there shouldn't even be a negotiation [27:01] according to the 20-point plan. [27:03] All Israel should be insisting on is the [27:06] implementation of the 20-point plan [27:08] exactly as written [27:10] or we go in and disarm Hamas ourselves. [27:13] That should be Israel's position. [27:15] Um and like I said [27:17] uh the the these efforts afoot now to [27:20] create alternative housing on the [27:21] Israeli side in Rafa area I think is [27:24] wonderful and Israel should encourage [27:26] that rather than hold it up. Let's move [27:28] people into those areas. Every every [27:31] Gazan who leaves Hamas control either to [27:33] go to another country or to go into [27:36] house or to go into the Israeli [27:38] controlled area is one it is one more um [27:41] degradation of Hamas's power. [27:44] Anyway, there's our up state update from [27:45] Gaza. I hope you found it interesting [27:47] and useful. Please drop me a comment. [27:49] Let me know what you think. [27:51] If I made any mistakes, I know you guys [27:52] are good at pointing out when I slip up [27:54] here and there. You know, you do a lot [27:55] of talking, there's going to be mistakes [27:57] slipped in. But keep watching the [27:58] channel, keep sharing. [28:00] Thanks for all your support. God bless.
