Transcript [00:00] Hey everyone. So, I want to talk about [00:02] the 15-point [00:04] road map for phase two in Gaza. Now, I [00:07] already made a a video about it a few [00:09] days ago [00:10] where I went into some of the bigger [00:12] issues with this new agreement and how [00:14] it actually undoes some of the critical [00:17] components of the original Trump [00:19] 20-point Gaza plan that was unveiled [00:21] last fall. But, what I want to do in [00:23] this video is I want to go into one [00:26] specific clause in the agreement that I [00:28] didn't even notice on the first read [00:30] through. I didn't [00:32] And I only noticed after I made that [00:34] video. [00:35] And I want to really devote an entire [00:37] video to this issue. And it's the issue [00:39] of the anti-Hamas militias that are in [00:44] the Gaza Strip. Okay, so let's start [00:45] with the clause in the 15-point plan and [00:48] I'll explain why I missed it initially. [00:50] So, let's pull that up. So, here's the [00:51] full text of the Board of Pieces [00:53] 15-point road map for implementing the [00:56] Gaza peace plan. And if we go down to [00:59] clause 10, [01:02] look what it says here. "Weapons of the [01:05] militias shall be decommissioned and [01:07] stored under NCAG authority [01:11] according to agreed-upon timetable. [01:13] Members of those militias shall not be [01:17] integrated in the security and police [01:19] services. [01:21] IVC, that's the verification [01:25] committee, [01:26] shall be responsible for certifying the [01:28] implementation of this issue." So, what [01:30] does this say? [01:32] That there's these militias and it [01:33] doesn't say who the militias are. And [01:34] that's why at first I kind of missed it. [01:36] Like, what do you mean these militias? [01:38] So, it says that there's these militias [01:39] and they're going to be decommissioned, [01:41] meaning they're going to disarm. [01:43] They're going to give up their weapons, [01:44] meaning the weapons will be [01:45] decommissioned. [01:46] And that they cannot be part of the [01:49] security and police services. And that [01:51] this verification committee is supposed [01:53] to verify that that's happening. [01:55] Now, earlier in the 15-point uh [01:59] plan here, it talks about creating the [02:02] police force. [02:04] And take a look at what it says here. [02:08] Here. [02:11] Newly trained police personnel [02:15] newly trained police personnel [02:17] shall be incorporated into existing [02:21] police structures. [02:24] What's the point of that sentence? [02:26] What is it saying? [02:28] It means that they're not going to [02:29] create brand new police structures. [02:32] We're going to keep the existing police [02:33] structures, which is Hamas. [02:36] And newly trained police personnel are [02:38] going to be incorporated into existing [02:41] police structures. [02:42] All police personnel shall undergo [02:44] comprehensive vetting. [02:46] Okay, what's the vetting for? [02:49] And I'm playing along here. Ostensibly, [02:51] the vetting is to make sure that the [02:52] people who are including in the in the [02:54] new police force in Gaza [02:56] are on board with the plan. And what's [02:58] the plan? Well, the original Trump [03:00] 20-point plan was really all about [03:03] getting rid of Hamas. It was about [03:05] moving to a post-Hamas Gaza Strip, where [03:09] Hamas is no longer in a governing and [03:11] certainly not in a military role [03:13] whatsoever. That was the language in the [03:15] plan that they shall have no role [03:16] whatsoever, directly or indirectly. That [03:19] was what it said in the Trump 20-point [03:21] plan. [03:22] And here we're being told that the new [03:23] police force [03:25] is going to be incorporated into [03:27] existing police structures. Hard to [03:29] imagine how that happens with Hamas [03:31] being completely removed, cuz the [03:32] existing police structures are Hamas. [03:34] But, separate from that, notice it talks [03:36] about newly trained police personnel who [03:38] are going to undergo comprehensive [03:40] vetting. [03:41] And those who don't meet the required [03:43] standards of vetting will be offered [03:44] alternative civilian roles consistent [03:47] with their earlier experience. Meaning, [03:48] if they were involved in government, [03:50] then we'll find some other roles for [03:52] them if they don't meet the vetting [03:55] for the police or security services cuz [03:57] I guess they're too militant. I don't [03:58] know exactly what the vetting standards [04:00] will be. [04:02] But nevertheless, [04:04] that's what it describes here. [04:07] In other words, [04:08] I guess ostensibly there are [04:09] Palestinians who who, you know, Arabs [04:11] who will be who will be trained, [04:14] these newly trained police personnel, [04:16] they're going to be vetted and they'll [04:17] become part of the police. And then if [04:19] we jump back down to point 10, it says [04:22] that the members of certain militias [04:26] are not going to be able to participate [04:29] in the security and police services. And [04:31] the reason it's easy to miss what this [04:32] is truly about is that you might think [04:34] that it is referring to [04:36] Palestinian Islamic Jihad, to Hamas, [04:40] right, to various actual terrorist [04:41] groups. And it's saying that they have [04:43] to give up their weapons [04:46] and that they're not allowed to be part [04:47] of the security and police services. But [04:48] that's not what this is referring to. [04:52] That's not who it's talking about. [04:54] This clause, as we'll see in this video [04:56] made very clear, this clause is actually [04:59] talking about anti-Hamas [05:02] militias in the Gaza Strip. [05:05] So, [05:06] here we have a piece from late April. [05:09] Who are the Israel-backed armed groups [05:11] fighting Hamas in Gaza? Now, this is not [05:13] a pro-Israel website. This is from ACLED [05:15] data. [05:17] It's Yeah, that's that's where it is [05:19] from. And uh [05:21] And Nasser Kadour is the author of this [05:23] piece. Who are Israel-backed armed [05:25] groups fighting in Gaza? Check this out. [05:26] Anti-Hamas groups [05:28] have grown in number and become more [05:30] active since the October ceasefire. At [05:32] least five of these groups now operate [05:34] from Israel-controlled areas east of the [05:37] yellow line across all Gaza. [05:39] Uh ACLED records more than 40 violent [05:42] events since October involving these [05:44] groups that resulted in nearly 80 [05:46] fatalities. Their activity has [05:47] intensified [05:49] since February 2026, which coincided [05:51] with US efforts to advance phase two of [05:54] President Trump's plan to end the [05:55] conflict in Gaza. And here it shows the [05:57] logos of a number of these groups, the [05:59] popular forces, [06:02] and the counterterrorism strike force, [06:05] the popular army northern forces. It [06:07] says who the leader of each of them is, [06:08] where they're located. [06:11] And and then we have the the popular [06:14] defense forces. So their graphic is a [06:16] little bit cut off here. [06:18] Um and then it and then it and then if [06:22] you click to the next slide, it gives [06:24] you [06:25] uh how many events there have been, how [06:27] many how many fatalities there have [06:28] been, and how many events there have [06:30] been. So you see that February was the [06:31] big spike [06:33] in events, but uh the number of [06:36] fatalities, that's the red bars, are [06:38] still pretty high in the last few [06:39] months. This is February, March, April. [06:41] That's where this article That's when [06:42] this article was written, so we don't [06:43] have anything beyond that here. [06:45] Anti-Hamas groups have remained [06:47] concentrated near the yellow line, but [06:49] some operations have reached deeper into [06:51] areas under Hamas control, including [06:52] west of Gaza City. For instance, two [06:55] armed clashes on April 20th demonstrated [06:57] that Israel-backed groups had [06:59] infiltrated central Khan Yunis and [07:01] al-Mawasi in Rafah. [07:03] Most incidents involving these five [07:05] anti-Hamas groups were armed clashes [07:07] with Hamas-affiliated security forces, [07:09] including Sam and Radia. [07:12] Those are different parts of Hamas. [07:14] Although the groups also carried out [07:15] targeted assassinations of Hamas police [07:18] commanders and se- senior security [07:19] officials. The Israel-backed groups have [07:22] also detained Hamas militants and [07:24] abducted and killed civilians accused of [07:26] collaborating with Hamas. And here's a [07:28] map of the Gaza Strip, and it points out [07:30] areas here, Khan Yunis, and down here [07:33] near Rafah. [07:35] There are There are these areas here [07:37] where the militias have been operating. [07:40] These anti-Hamas pro-Israel, or at least [07:43] working with Israel, supported by Israel [07:45] militias. [07:47] Israel's empowering these groups and [07:48] using them as a local force on the [07:50] ground. They operate under protection of [07:52] the Israeli military, which relies on [07:54] them to reduce the risks to its [07:55] soldiers. For instance, the popular [07:57] forces, the oldest of these groups, [08:00] cleared Hamas tunnels and helped capture [08:02] militants trapped inside. Israel has [08:05] increased the level of support it [08:06] provides to armed groups, which includes [08:08] weapons logistics intelligence and [08:10] training. [08:11] Israel's training and giving weapons to [08:13] these guys. [08:14] And also has deployed attack drones [08:17] during the group's clashes with Hamas [08:18] militants. So, Israel's helping them [08:20] out. [08:21] Obviously, in many ways. The group's [08:23] operations have also come alongside [08:25] continued Israeli attacks on Hamas [08:27] operatives near the yellow line, as well [08:29] as strikes on Hamas police stations, [08:30] security personnel, and operatives [08:32] across Gaza. So, you have this [08:34] You have a number of these of these [08:35] militias the that are anti-Hamas that [08:38] have been fighting Hamas. They've been [08:40] carrying out operations against Hamas. [08:42] They've been They've been working [08:43] closely with the Israelis. [08:45] Beyond the immediate threat they pose, [08:48] again, this is this is a kind of [08:49] pro-Hamas article. Beyond the immediate [08:51] threat they pose, these groups also [08:53] complicate Hamas's efforts to preserve [08:55] influence within the police and other [08:56] security bodies. Israel tasked the [08:58] popular forces with securing the Rafah [09:00] border crossing. [09:02] Okay, so Israel actually gave the [09:04] popular forces [09:06] the mandate to police this border [09:09] crossing. [09:11] So, they're really working pretty [09:12] closely with the Israelis. The group is [09:14] seeking a security role. [09:16] The group is seeking a security role in [09:18] post-war Gaza. This is written in April. [09:21] While Hamas is trying to keep parts of [09:22] the existing police structure in place. [09:25] Look at that again. While Hamas is [09:27] trying to keep parts of the existing [09:30] police structure in place. [09:32] Now, remember what it said in that [09:35] in this uh [09:37] in this 15-point plan. Newly trained [09:39] police personnel shall be incorporated [09:40] into existing police structures. That's [09:42] exactly what we're seeing here. [09:44] Hamas is getting its wish. [09:49] Okay? [09:53] Sorry. [09:57] So, that's yeah, so that's um [10:00] Hamas also fears that continued clashes [10:03] with these groups could further damage [10:05] Gaza's social fabric and fuel cycles of [10:08] revenge among tribes and families. Yet, [10:10] these groups do not pose an existential [10:11] threat to Hamas on their own, nor do [10:14] they have the capacity to replace it as [10:15] a political force. They've been [10:17] mobilized mainly by anti-Hamas sentiment [10:20] rather than by a coherent political [10:21] goal. At the organizational level, [10:23] Israel-backed groups remain fragmented. [10:26] They differ in leadership styles and [10:27] social bases. Some leaders and members [10:29] are known for criminal activity and were [10:31] involved in aid looting during the war. [10:34] Okay, again, this is a pro-Hamas piece. [10:35] They're trying to demonize these [10:38] these anti-Hamas militias. While others [10:40] come from the former Palestinian [10:41] Authority security forces, most still [10:43] rely on local clan and tribal ties. [10:46] Indeed, they do. These factors limit the [10:49] appeal of the anti-Hamas narrative, [10:50] especially as Hamas continues to portray [10:52] these groups as collaborators. [10:55] This charge can still isolate them [10:57] socially regardless of Hamas's [10:58] popularity in Gaza. [11:00] Israel's continued empowerment of [11:02] anti-Hamas groups will deepen [11:03] Palestinian divisions and keep the [11:06] heightened risk of intra-Palestinian [11:08] violence alive. This dynamic serves the [11:10] Israeli government's interests of [11:11] blocking the emergence of a new [11:13] political order in Gaza. That is [11:15] actually backwards. It's actually [11:17] Israel's trying to usher in a new [11:20] political order in Gaza, and what the [11:21] guys who are on the on the Hamas side [11:23] are doing is trying to preserve the old [11:25] political order. [11:27] Anyway, in further isolating the [11:28] Palestinian Authority, that is true. [11:29] They are trying to do that. Israel [11:31] wants isolate the Palestinian Authority [11:34] in the West Bank. While the Trump [11:36] administration still wants to avoid [11:37] wider escalation in Gaza, a more stable [11:39] post-war reality will be hard to [11:41] achieve. Full disarmament on Israel's [11:43] terms remains unlikely. [11:46] And Hamas looks to survive and preserve [11:48] its status as a leading Palestinian [11:50] resistance actor. [11:52] And then this is from just yesterday. [11:55] Look at this. Yesterday, Hamas [11:56] terrorists push Palestinians to kill [11:59] Israeli-backed militia members, Gazans [12:01] tell the post. Hamas urges Palestinians [12:04] to target leading figures in the [12:06] Israeli-backed armed groups in the Gaza [12:07] Strip. The terror organization's special [12:09] security unit, Rada Force, which is [12:12] responsible for addressing internal [12:13] threats, specifically suspected [12:15] collaborators with Israel, [12:17] stated that the solution to dismantling [12:20] what it [12:22] what it described as collaborator gangs [12:23] is to eliminate their top members. We [12:26] say to all members of the collaborator [12:27] gangs that assassinating senior [12:29] collaborators in these groups will be [12:31] your salvation before us and before your [12:33] people, the Rada Force said in a [12:35] statement. As part of Hamas's attempt to [12:37] crack down on armed militias in the [12:39] strip, the force stated on Thursday, [12:42] that's yesterday, that with the [12:43] assistance of residents, it apprehended [12:45] a Palestinian closely linked to senior [12:47] militia collaborators and added that his [12:49] weapons and money were confiscated. This [12:52] is going on now. This is going on while [12:54] Hamas is ostensibly going to be [12:55] disarming. They're hunting down the [12:58] leaders of the militias that are working [13:01] with Israel. It expressed appreciation [13:03] for what it called the public sense of [13:04] national and ethical responsibility, [13:07] urging Gaza residents to immediately [13:08] report any suspicious behavior or the [13:11] whereabouts of wanted collaborators. The [13:13] call to assassinate figures in the armed [13:15] militias follows the announcement [13:18] of a roadmap for advancing to the second [13:20] phase of the Gaza ceasefire. Although [13:22] the deal includes the terror [13:23] organization's demand to dissolve the [13:25] anti-Hamas armed militias. You see right [13:27] there. That's what that clause is about. [13:29] And stipulates that their members will [13:31] not be integrated into the security and [13:33] political services under the new [13:34] arrangements for Gaza. Sources in Gaza [13:37] said that Hamas remains concerned about [13:39] their continued presence. [13:42] Quote, despite the militias not having [13:44] public popularity, Hamas still sees them [13:46] as a threat to its rule. [13:48] Hamas is trying to prevent them from [13:50] becoming stronger. Another Palestinian [13:52] from Gaza said that it shows that Hamas [13:54] is worried and is seeking ways to [13:56] isolate militia leaders and strip them [13:57] of public support. Hamas wants to make [14:00] them look bad in the eyes of the people, [14:01] he said. They use manipulation, now [14:04] telling members of these armed groups, [14:06] "Come to us, we'll embrace you and take [14:07] care of you," he added. The Rada force [14:09] claimed in the statement that it offers [14:11] a pardon to pro-Israel militiamen who [14:13] repent, making it possible for them to [14:16] leave these groups and return to Gaza [14:17] society. We consider the current [14:19] circumstances a golden opportunity to [14:21] end the phenomenon of the collaborator [14:23] gangs, which have represented a black [14:25] mark in the history of our people's [14:26] struggle, the statement read. [14:29] The force claimed it's handing it's [14:31] handling requests from families to [14:33] resolve the cases of their sons who [14:34] joined the collaborator gangs, [14:36] especially those who expressed regret [14:38] and wish to return to the right path. [14:41] Uh 3 days ago, the Rada force stated [14:44] that Hamas has addressed the cases of 17 [14:46] individuals linked to collaborator [14:48] militias. [14:50] We reaffirm the idea that these militias [14:53] that the idea of these militias was dead [14:55] from the outset. The occupation will not [14:56] protect them, and the coming days will [14:58] prove it. We renew our call to all gang [15:00] members to come back to the embrace of [15:02] their people before it's too late. [15:04] These escalatory statements come at a [15:06] time of heightened hostility between the [15:07] two sides. [15:09] In response to Hamas's apparent [15:11] agreement to store its weapons, a key [15:12] militia figure in Gaza told the post [15:15] over the past weekend he does not [15:16] believe Hamas will disarm and the deal [15:18] will not happen. [15:19] Since armed groups were supported by [15:21] Israel, [15:22] I'm sorry, since the armed groups [15:24] supported by Israel were established in [15:25] the Gaza Strip to combat Hamas following [15:28] October 7th, [15:29] Hamas has constantly sought to [15:31] delegitimize these militias with [15:32] frequent clashes taking place. And then [15:35] here, this is from an Arab site from [15:37] al-quds.com. [15:40] And it says here, Hebrew report reveals [15:42] attempts by Hamas to infiltrate armed [15:44] groups in Gaza and assassinate their [15:46] leaders have been thwarted. So, it was [15:48] unsuccessful. Hebrew media sources [15:50] revealed a campaign of arrests targeting [15:52] dozens of individuals suspected of [15:54] belonging to the Hamas movement [15:56] following their attempts to infiltrate [15:58] armed groups active within the Gaza [15:59] Strip. Reports clarified that these [16:01] elements tried to join military [16:03] formations that the movement accuses of [16:06] cooperating with the occupation [16:07] authorities in a complex intelligence [16:09] and operational endeavor to reach [16:11] decision-making centers within those [16:13] groups. They're trying to infiltrate. [16:14] This is from two days ago, by the way. [16:16] According to available information, the [16:17] main objective of the infiltration [16:19] operation was to carry out physical [16:21] liquidations, meaning assassinations, [16:24] and precise assassinations targeting the [16:26] leaders of those militias that have [16:27] recently begun to emerge on the ground. [16:30] Sources indicated that the occupation [16:32] security agencies were closely [16:33] monitoring these movements, and several [16:35] attempts were thwarted before the [16:37] perpetrators reached their final [16:38] targets, preventing wider internal [16:40] clashes. The sources stated that the [16:42] so-called Abu Shabab militia was at the [16:45] top of the list of targets that the [16:47] Hamas movement repeatedly sought to [16:49] infiltrate during the past period. In [16:50] one recorded incident, one of the [16:52] elements almost succeeded in carrying [16:54] out an imminent assassination attempt [16:57] against a leading figure in that group, [16:58] but the intervention of security forces [17:01] at the last moments led to his arrest [17:03] and the foiling of the plan that was [17:04] underway. Hamas tried on several [17:07] occasions to send elements to these [17:08] groups with the aim of carrying out the [17:10] assassination operations against their [17:12] leaders, but their attempts were exposed [17:15] and thwarted. [17:19] Now, before we go on, I want to I want [17:21] to [17:22] just uh pause here for a moment and talk [17:24] to you about an upcoming event. [18:55] That um [18:56] that these militias that these these [18:58] reports I just read to you are from the [18:59] last couple days. Hamas is ramping up [19:02] efforts to try to assassinate the [19:03] leaders of these militias. Hamas [19:05] insisted on having a clause in the [19:07] 15-point roadmap that disqualifies the [19:10] members of these militias from serving [19:12] in the in the police force or the [19:14] security forces in the Gaza Strip. [19:17] And that itself should raise massive [19:20] massive red flags. I mean, I think that [19:22] this should be talked about more. That's [19:24] why I made That's why I'm making a whole [19:25] video about it. Cuz think about this. [19:27] Let's take a step back from this whole [19:28] process before we read on. [19:32] We have this, you know, Trump comes out [19:34] in last fall with this 20-point Gaza [19:36] peace plan that is supposed to move us [19:39] The whole point of that plan was that it [19:42] was it is going to move us to a [19:43] post-Hamas Gaza. [19:45] Hamas is not going to have any role [19:47] whatsoever. All of their weapons will be [19:50] permanently placed out of reach so that [19:53] they can never be used again. We're [19:54] going to destroy all their [19:55] infrastructure. Those who wish to make [19:57] peace with Israel can will be granted [20:00] amnesty or be provided safe passage out [20:02] of the Gaza Strip. I mean, the whole [20:05] point was to move to a post-Hamas Gaza. [20:08] And And that's why also it had a clause [20:10] in there that the Palestinian also can't [20:12] have a role unless they reform [20:15] themselves radically. [20:16] And this is going to be we're we're [20:18] finally going to get past this, [20:21] you know, [20:22] past Hamas, past a a an authority there [20:25] that is seeking to destroy Israel. [20:27] Now meanwhile [20:29] the plan itself, the Trump 20-point plan [20:31] does call for a future [20:33] new Palestinian you know, Palestinian [20:36] police force down there. [20:39] And there has to be a vetting process to [20:41] make sure that the Palestinian police [20:44] officers are not do not have allegiance [20:46] to the old [20:48] Hamas ways. [20:50] You would think that the most obvious [20:52] people to join that police force [20:55] would be members of anti-Hamas militias [20:59] in the Gaza Strip. [21:02] And yet, part of the deal, part of this [21:05] road map, of the board of peace. [21:07] I mean, can we even call it the board of [21:09] peace? What is their goal really? [21:11] If they include including a clause like [21:14] that I mean, did Hamas write this [21:15] document [21:17] that the board of peace put forward as a [21:18] roadmap? And think of what the roadmap [21:20] is supposed to be a roadmap to. It's [21:22] supposed to be a roadmap to a post-Hamas [21:24] Gaza Strip. And included in it is a [21:27] clause that the anti-Hamas militias are [21:29] the only people in Gaza who can't even [21:32] go through the training and apply to [21:33] become part of this police force. [21:35] They're excluded. [21:37] They're excluded because they're [21:39] anti-Hamas. [21:41] That itself should tell you everything [21:42] you need to know about this current [21:44] roadmap agreement. It is not meant to to [21:47] disarm Hamas or defeat them. It's meant [21:50] to preserve them. [21:52] Which leads us to this next couple of [21:54] short items. We believe Hamas will not [21:57] disarm, Israeli-backed militia figure [21:58] tell in Gaza tells the Jerusalem Post. [22:01] This is from a few days ago, August 2nd. [22:04] The disarmament plan announced by the [22:05] board of peace approved by Hamas will [22:07] not be implemented, a Palestinian source [22:08] in Gaza affiliated with Israeli-backed [22:11] militias told the Jerusalem Post. For [22:13] Hamas, handing over its weapons would be [22:14] a suicidal step. If there are no [22:16] weapons, there's no Hamas, he told them. [22:18] According to him, those in Gaza who have [22:20] suffered under Hamas oppression are [22:21] waiting for a chance to take revenge, [22:24] which is one reason why Hamas believes [22:25] it must keep its weapons. Families, [22:28] clans, and even ordinary people who were [22:30] targeted by Hamas are waiting to settle [22:32] scores with the organization, no matter [22:34] how long it takes. This is an [22:35] interesting aspect of Hamas disarmament [22:38] that we haven't even talked about. [22:41] One of the reasons Hamas doesn't want to [22:42] give up its weapons is not just [22:44] it's not only because they're going to [22:45] lose power and they won't be able to [22:46] attack Israel. They're worried about [22:48] defending themselves against Gazans who [22:50] want their heads [22:51] for everything they've done to them. [22:54] Quote, people who were tortured, abused, [22:56] and whose relatives were killed by Hamas [22:58] will never forgive and never forget. [23:00] Today, they cannot fight Hamas because [23:02] the organization is armed. But even if [23:04] it takes 5 or 10 years, people will seek [23:06] to hold Hamas members accountable," he [23:07] continued. "Hamas is aware of this [23:09] threat and that's why they need their [23:11] weapons to protect themselves and cannot [23:13] afford to disarm." [23:15] The The militia-affiliated Gaza source [23:17] dismissed Hamas' apparent acceptance of [23:20] the deal as empty talk, arguing that the [23:22] terror group is simply trying to buy [23:24] time and ensure its own survival. [23:26] "The agreement is meaningless. It will [23:27] not happen," he claimed. "They have [23:29] almost no heavy weapons left." Meaning [23:31] that because this agreement says that [23:33] they'll give up their heavy weapons, [23:34] whatever heavy weapons are, he says they [23:35] don't even have, you know, like heavy [23:37] weapons. [23:38] Their rule is based on machine guns [23:42] and clubs and and torture methods. They [23:45] don't need heavy weapons. [23:47] "Hamas cares only about Hamas," he [23:49] continued. "They will not comply with [23:50] the demand for full disarmament because [23:52] they want to stay in power. For Hamas, [23:54] not having weapons means risking its [23:55] existence. They know that the moment [23:57] they lose their grip, they will not be [23:59] able to return to power." A key demand [24:00] for Hamas, stipulated in Article 10 of [24:03] the plan, calls for the dissolution of [24:05] armed groups in Gaza, referring to the [24:06] Israeli [24:07] back militias. [24:10] "We came to fight Hamas. Our problem was [24:13] with Hamas, not with anyone else. If it [24:14] truly gives up its weapons, stops ruling [24:17] Gaza, and there is real change, then [24:19] maybe we can be part of the arrangements [24:20] of the new deal. But as long as Hamas [24:22] remains, even with only rifles, we will [24:25] continue to fight it. What matters is [24:27] what happens on the ground." [24:31] And then he goes on further. He says, [24:34] uh [24:35] The The Gaza resident that they're [24:36] interviewing argued that dissolving the [24:38] Israeli back militias, as required by [24:40] the agreement, sends a troubling message [24:43] to anyone considering future cooperation [24:45] with Israeli security agencies. "If [24:47] these groups are disbanded now, it'll be [24:49] difficult for the Israelis to find [24:51] people willing to work with them. [24:53] Those who worked with Israel or [24:55] supported it would now be exposed to [24:57] reprisals by Hamas because they're seen [24:59] as traitors. [25:01] Also, in the eyes of the people they're [25:02] unwelcome. From the very beginning, [25:04] these armed groups have had no respect [25:05] among the Palestinian public. People in [25:07] Gaza do not see them as legitimate and [25:09] they lack popular support. So, in the [25:11] end both sides will turn their backs on [25:13] them. [25:14] And that that could also damage Israel's [25:16] ability to recruit people. They will [25:18] think twice before taking that risk for [25:21] fear of being abandoned. [25:24] The militia source rejected that claim [25:26] saying Israel will never abandon us. [25:27] It'll continue to support us. We believe [25:29] Israel will protect us. Our safety is [25:31] guaranteed. Okay. [25:33] Um [25:36] Look, bottom line, I'm not going to read [25:38] these other sources. I think we have [25:40] enough material here to get the picture [25:41] of what's going on. [25:43] The bottom line is this. You have these [25:45] militias. [25:46] They're fighting against Hamas. Hamas is [25:49] seeking is trying to use this current [25:51] situation of this new deal of this new [25:53] framework agreement to get rid of them. [25:57] They're calling for their people to [25:58] assassinate them. [26:00] They're trying to make sure that they [26:01] they can play no role in the future of [26:03] Gaza even though the most obvious people [26:05] that we'd want to work with. [26:07] Here's what I think. I think that [26:08] because these militias operate on the [26:10] Israeli side of the yellow line, [26:12] this is where we need to start moving [26:15] civilian population that wants [26:18] the housing and whatever food will be [26:20] available. Make Make life better on the [26:22] Israeli side of the line [26:24] and empower these militias to be the [26:27] security force for these areas and allow [26:30] population who does not want to live [26:31] under Hamas to come out and live in [26:33] these areas. I don't know how doable it [26:36] is. There must be people who would be [26:37] willing to do that. Start removing [26:39] civilian population from Hamas's [26:41] control. [26:42] But, that's a separate issue. The big [26:45] issue right now is that Hamas is far far [26:47] far from ever disarming. This is It's a [26:50] big bait and switch. Hamas is not going [26:51] to be disarming, they're not going to be [26:53] laying down their weapons. Any news, any [26:55] headlines about some progress being made [26:58] in phase two and [27:00] and now this is progress, not at all. [27:03] Again, put it in one sentence. The [27:04] original Trump 20-point plan was [27:07] designed to create a post-Hamas Gaza. [27:10] And this framework agreement, which [27:11] markets itself [27:13] as the implementation of that plan, is [27:16] not that plan. It's the undoing of that [27:17] plan and it's designed to preserve Hamas [27:20] and keep them in power long-term. All [27:22] right, that's it for this one. Make sure [27:23] you sign up for the webinar. Links in [27:25] the description of the video. Please [27:26] drop a comment, let me know what you [27:27] think. [27:28] And please keep watching. I'm in this [27:30] room here today cuz you know, all the [27:31] kids are visiting. It's great, my [27:33] grandson's here. [27:35] Um and we have all the kids together for [27:36] Shabbat, it's going to be wonderful. But [27:38] I got kicked out of my usual studio cuz [27:39] it's being used as a bedroom. That's the [27:41] way it goes. [27:42] Be well.
