Hezbollah Continues to Violate the Ceasefire

While much of the world has moved on from October 7, Israel never got that luxury. One of Hamas’s openly declared goals that day—straight from their own documents and leaders—was to ignite a perpetual, multi-front war against the Jewish state, together with Hezbollah, the Houthis, Iran’s militias in Iraq and Syria, and anyone else that was willing, into an endless cycle of bloodshed.
Over 2 years later, the northern front is quieter than it should be, but far from safe. Tens of thousands of Israeli families still can’t return home, Hezbollah’s rockets remain pointed south by the hundreds of thousands, and Lebanon’s government has proven either unwilling or unable to honor UN Resolution 1701 and move those weapons away from the border.
Now the signs are unmistakable: Israel is methodically preparing to finish what was started and to complete what the rest of the world is unwilling to make good on.
Last week’s elimination of Hezbollah’s senior military commander in the heart of Beirut wasn’t random—it was a message and, quite possibly, the opening move. When Israel decides the time is right, it will not be because it wants another war, but because the alternative is living indefinitely under an Iranian noose.
This isn’t about revenge. It’s about removing a threat that has held an entire region hostage for far too long, so that children in the north can finally go back to their homes and families can rebuild the lives that were uprooted on October 8 and every day since.
Praying the next phase brings decisive quiet instead of prolonged pain, but whatever comes, Israel will do what it must to ensure its people never face another October 7 again.
Am Yisrael Chai.
