IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir has issued a stark warning that the IDF could face collapse due to severe manpower shortages, as fighting intensifies across multiple fronts. In a 48 hour period this week, Hezbollah launched over 600 projectiles toward Israel, while Iran-backed attacks continue to test Israel’s air defense systems. A direct hit from an Iranian missile strike on Arad has produced miraculous survival stories. All while Donald Trump has paused planned strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure, signaling a narrow window for negotiations, while U.S. officials reportedly prepare contingency plans for a decisive escalation against Iran’s strategic assets. On the ground, Israel is expanding its military posture in Lebanon, with Defense Minister Israel Katz declaring a long-term security zone reaching the Litani River. As diplomatic efforts stall and Iran issues sweeping demands the war now stands at a crossroads: escalation, negotiation, or stalemate. Inside Israel, new government measures targeting internal unrest highlight the growing strain of a prolonged, multi-front conflict.
