If Israel actually took control of Gaza again

If Israel actually took control of Gaza again, it would have major consequences. The biggest issue is what to do with the people currently living in Gaza. Let’s explore a couple options. What would happen to all the people currently living in Gaza? What if Israel applied a model similar to that of Judea and Samaria? The land would be divided into areas A, B and C, with Jews in area C and Muslims in the others. That’s the basis of the Oslo Accords and quite frankly it’s a terrible idea if peace is your objective. Repeating it in Gaza would be foolishness. However, given that the UN likes repeating the same mistakes over and over again, they might actually approve a plan like this. What about forcibly removing everyone in Gaza and sending them to other nations like Indonesia? That idea has certainly made its rounds in the post-war Gaza discussion. However the hard part is actually finding a nation that wants to take on a mass influx of Palestinians. Their reputation precedes them. Just look up “Black September Jordan”. It’s no wonder everyone is hesitant to accept them into their country. Could the tiny Jewish nation absorb all these Muslims as full citizens? We don’t need to look any further than Europe to know that this plan would certainly fail if it was implemented today. It did however work reasonably well in 1948 when Israel accepted non-Jews into the newly formed State of Israel. Just ask any Muslim currently living in Israel what Muslim majority nation they would rather live in. You’ll have a hard time finding anyone wanting to leave Israel. Israel offers equal treatment to all Israeli citizens and the standard of living is unmatched. What about granting Israeli Nationality to the citizens of Gaza? This idea is commonly brought up with addressing the idea of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, but there is no reason why it wouldn’t work in Gaza. It basically boils down to the idea that the Gazans would be given Israeli Nationality. They’d have all the rights and responsibilities of an Israeli citizen with one major difference. They would not be allowed to vote in. It is very advantageous for the civilians in Gaza who want to escape from the terrors of Hamas and enjoy a higher quality of life, and it also protects Israel’s Jewish identity. I know a lot of people get worked up about the idea of having a Jewish state, as if that’s some sort of oppression against everyone else, but all you need to do is zoom out a bit on Google Maps and see that basically every nation around Israel is a Muslim state. No one seems to be offended with that idea. But how would granting some form of Israeli nationality actually work? We have examples in the USA - just look at Puerto Rico. Puerto Ricans have nearly all the rights and responsibilities of full US citizenship, with one big exception. They aren’t allowed to vote in federal elections. However, they can vote in the primaries. One major difference that Israel would have to implement compared to the US/Puerto Rico example is that if a resident of Puerto Rico moves to one of the US states, they gain full ability to participate in elections. Given the high percentage of terrorists and terrorist supporters in Gaza, there would have to be a significantly more robust vetting process before granting voting rights.
