Transcript [00:00] It's just now coming out that a couple [00:02] of weeks ago Iran made a serious attempt [00:05] on President Trump's [00:06] >> [music] [00:06] >> life. This attempt forced quick action [00:09] from the Secret Service creating one of [00:11] the most bizarre presidential stories [00:13] we've seen in a long time. This comes as [00:17] US officials warn of a major [00:19] vulnerability in the US's water supply, [00:21] a vulnerability Iran may be taking [00:24] advantage of in major [00:26] >> [music] [00:26] >> cyber attacks. [00:29] So, last month President Trump was in [00:31] Turkey for the annual NATO summit. When [00:34] the summit ended, President Trump and [00:36] staff, including Marco Rubio and also [00:38] members of the press, loaded up on Air [00:40] Force One for the flight to England. The [00:43] press were asked by the Secret Service [00:45] to keep their window shades closed. Then [00:48] something strange happened. On the [00:50] flight, President Trump was nowhere to [00:52] be seen. His staff, the press, not even [00:54] Marco Rubio, had any idea where the [00:56] president was. Air Force One then landed [00:59] in England later that night, and [01:01] President Trump also landed, but not on [01:04] Air Force One. Trump was in a C-32A jet, [01:09] which is a modified Boeing 757 used to [01:12] transport senior US government [01:14] officials. So, how on Earth did [01:16] President Trump board Air Force One, [01:19] disappear, then somehow end up on the [01:21] other jet without even a staff, without [01:23] even Marco Rubio knowing about the [01:27] switch? Just to preface what I'm about [01:29] to say next, none of this is confirmed, [01:31] so it's always possible that what we're [01:33] hearing isn't entirely true, but that [01:36] being said, this is what we're hearing. [01:39] As Trump was preparing to depart Turkey, [01:42] Israeli intelligence received critical [01:44] information that Iran had an active plot [01:47] to fire a shoulder-to-air missile at Air [01:50] Force One as it was departing Turkey. [01:53] Apparently, the intelligence must have [01:54] been good and the threat urgent. So [01:57] urgent in fact that the Secret Service [01:59] pulled the very undignified and unusual [02:02] move of having Trump board Air Force [02:04] One, disappear from his staff and the [02:06] press on the plane, then secretly place [02:08] the president on a catering truck, and [02:11] drive him in that truck to the C-32 [02:13] which was parked nearby. The whole story [02:16] is really wild. Just the fact that [02:19] Turkish security around the president's [02:20] visit was so bad that an Iranian cell [02:23] could even have a feasible chance of [02:25] hitting Air Force One with a [02:26] shoulder-mounted rocket is insane. It's [02:28] also crazy that American intelligence [02:30] didn't pick up on this, and it had to be [02:32] Israel warning the Secret Service at the [02:35] last minute. It's also crazy that the [02:37] Secret Service would actually stuff the [02:38] president of the United States in a food [02:40] truck and give him a hidden escape. I'm [02:44] no expert on stuff like this, but the [02:46] fact that we just pulled off a ruse and [02:47] left everything as it was is kind of [02:49] unsettling. It definitely would have [02:50] felt more American to have a postponed [02:53] Trump's departure and taken the time to [02:55] actually hunt this Iranian cell down. [02:57] But, maybe the fact that we didn't do [02:59] that is more of an indicator of where [03:01] we're at with our relationship with [03:02] Turkey right now. Turkey is a member of [03:05] NATO, and the US has a huge supply of [03:08] nuclear weapons stored in bases across [03:10] Turkey, meaning we at least used to [03:12] place some level of trust in our [03:14] alliance with Turkey. But, Turkey is [03:17] also a radical Muslim country with [03:19] ever-growing aspirations of rebuilding [03:21] the Turkish Empire. An empire that once [03:24] held territory across the continents of [03:26] Africa, Europe, and Asia. And their [03:29] recently signed NATO-like alliance with [03:31] Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, as Luke [03:33] talked about on Monday, isn't a good [03:35] sign for US-Turkish relations. In a [03:38] minute, we'll get into a major cyber [03:40] threat from Iran on American water [03:42] infrastructure. But first, [03:44] you know there's something a lot of [03:46] Christians have never thought about. [03:48] When Jesus cleared out the temple [03:49] courts, the Gospels say that zeal for [03:52] God's house consumed him. [03:54] And when he was lost in Jerusalem as a [03:56] boy, he figured his parents would know [03:58] where to look for him right there in the [04:01] temple. The theme of the temple runs all [04:03] throughout the New Testament, but it's [04:04] not talked about very much in the church [04:07] today. That's why I felt compelled to [04:09] take a deep dive into the subject, and [04:11] the result of that deep dive is a book [04:13] called Jesus Loves the Temple. And it [04:15] takes a fresh look at the Jerusalem [04:17] Temple through the scripture and a [04:19] Jewish thought around it and the words [04:21] of Jesus himself. Especially now with [04:24] the Jewish people back in their land, [04:26] these are questions the church can't [04:27] keep skipping over. Grab a copy of Jesus [04:30] Loves the Temple. [04:36] Before we get into this water [04:37] infrastructure attack here in the US, I [04:40] want to remind you that this Iranian [04:42] attempt on President Trump's life isn't [04:44] the first time they've tried something [04:46] like this. Just back in 2024, a [04:49] Pakistani man was arrested for working [04:51] alongside of the IRGC in a plot to [04:54] assassinate then President Biden, also [04:56] Nikki Haley, and Trump himself. [04:59] Apparently, this guy was in the middle [05:00] of an active plot to carry out these [05:02] assassinations when he accidentally [05:04] tried to recruit two FBI agents as [05:07] hitmen. He was arrested just the day [05:09] before President Trump was shot in the [05:10] ear and almost killed at the campaign [05:13] rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. A [05:15] representative for the FBI said [05:17] afterwards in a statement that, quote, [05:19] he said that he thought that Iran was [05:21] responsible for that because that's the [05:23] same thing he was sent here to do. To [05:26] switch gears a little bit, but still on [05:28] the same Iran topic, there's a crazy [05:30] story coming out of Minnesota. Just a [05:33] few weeks ago in the small town of [05:35] Braham, Minnesota, an operator at a [05:38] local water plant noticed that the [05:39] treatment pump wasn't working, making [05:42] the town's water system inoperable. [05:45] Workers proceeded to shut the plant down [05:47] and residents were notified to conserve [05:49] water. It only took a couple of hours [05:51] for workers to realize that the pump had [05:53] an electronic command to stop working [05:55] and they were quickly able to switch it [05:57] to manual operation and restore service. [06:00] But officials quickly realized their [06:02] problem wasn't unique. The pump shutting [06:04] down was a result of a coordinated cyber [06:06] attack on dozens of the towns across [06:09] Minnesota and the problem is even bigger [06:12] than that. In the days following the FBI [06:14] opened an investigation and while the [06:16] investigation is still ongoing, they [06:18] have already confirmed that at least [06:20] seven states were affected by the [06:22] attacks. [06:23] And again, while the investigation is [06:25] still ongoing, IT professionals are [06:27] already quickly tracing the attack back [06:30] to Iran. Obviously, this is horrifying. [06:33] The attack probably wasn't intended to [06:35] cause actual damage, but more of a proof [06:38] of concept to see what could work and [06:40] also probably to instill fear in the [06:43] American public. And it did its job. [06:46] Foreign actors were able to shut down [06:48] the water supply in rural American towns [06:51] thousands of miles away from their soil. [06:55] And apparently, these attacks have been [06:57] happening for quite some time. Around [06:59] 2012, several Iranians working for the [07:02] IRGC were able to hack into 46 US [07:05] financial institutions. They blocked [07:07] customers access to online banking [07:09] services by disabling websites, [07:11] ultimately resulting in millions of [07:13] dollars in damages. Perhaps the most [07:16] widely known incident was the Iranian [07:18] hacking of FBI Director Kash Patel's [07:21] personal email account earlier this [07:23] year. Thankfully, the breach did not [07:25] expose any American secrets to the [07:27] Iranians or as far as we've been told as [07:29] the American public, but it was a major [07:32] embarrassment for the FBI. But the most [07:35] disturbing incident of Iranian hacking [07:37] attempts in the US occurred in 2021. [07:41] Iranian hackers targeted a children's [07:43] hospital in Boston. We don't have a lot [07:46] of details on the attack, but apparently [07:48] the Iranians were trying to take down [07:51] the hospital's network, disrupting care [07:53] for the children there. Thankfully, the [07:56] FBI was able to thwart this attack [07:57] before it could be carried out. And need [08:01] I remind you that pretty much all of [08:03] these attacks happened before President [08:05] Trump attacked Iran back in February, [08:08] reinforcing that President Trump's [08:10] current efforts to hamstring the Iranian [08:12] regime are well placed. Iran has been a [08:16] serious thorn in our side as Americans [08:18] all the way back since the Ayatollahs [08:20] took power in the '70s, and their [08:23] efforts continue. We have assassination [08:25] attempts, cyber attacks, missiles and [08:26] drones at our air bases in the Middle [08:28] East, harassing our ships and planes, [08:31] etc. God willing, both Trump and the [08:34] leaders of the Pentagon will have the [08:35] wisdom to find a way to finish the job [08:37] that they started, either to topple the [08:39] regime of the Ayatollahs and/or [08:41] Iran's ability to inflict harm on the [08:44] United States at any point in the [08:46] future. [08:47] Remember, if you want to read my deep [08:48] dive into what the New Testament [08:50] actually teaches about the temple in [08:52] Jerusalem, you can grab a copy of Jesus [08:55] Loves the Temple from the link in the [08:56] description or by scanning the QR code [08:59] on screen. [09:00] As always, [09:02] thanks for watching.
