Transcript [00:00] Huge breaking news everybody over the [00:01] course of the last couple of hours Iran [00:04] has been launching a barrage of missiles [00:07] at Israel and uh [00:10] Yeah, so let's so let's get right into [00:12] it. We're going to I'm going to play you [00:13] a couple clips from Fox News just to [00:15] level set where we are and because [00:17] there's some interesting things that are [00:19] said here. So, let's start with this. [00:25] >> Hi Trey. [00:28] >> Yeah, John. This is breaking news is the [00:30] Iranian regime has launched a large [00:32] missile attack at Israel. There are [00:34] currently missiles in the skies of this [00:36] country. We just saw one soaring toward [00:39] the northern city of Haifa from our [00:41] position here in Tel Aviv. The Iranians [00:43] say they are responding because of the [00:46] Israeli strikes that took place earlier [00:48] today against the Lebanese capital of [00:50] Beirut specifically in the Dahiyeh [00:52] neighborhood. And that followed [00:54] Hezbollah strikes on northern Israel. [00:56] I'm speaking now with regional [00:57] intelligence sources who say they [00:59] believe the Iranians [01:01] uh feel that they are confident there [01:03] will not be a US or Israeli response to [01:05] this missile fire, but regional sources [01:07] tell Fox News John they expect a harsh [01:10] response to this ongoing missile attack [01:12] that is currently taking place. And I'm [01:14] just looking down at my [01:15] Hold on. And then he goes ahead and he [01:17] takes a look at the [01:19] at uh the alerts that he's seeing on his [01:21] phone, but I want to pick it up a little [01:23] later. Listen to what he says here. [01:25] >> taking place. Uh we are getting another [01:28] update from a regional intelligence [01:31] source speaking to Fox News. And I keep [01:32] looking down here John. We are getting [01:34] this information in real time. A [01:36] regional intelligence official tells Fox [01:39] News [01:40] the Iranians believe that Trump does not [01:43] have the will to fight. This [01:44] intelligence official says they are [01:45] quote gambling on him wanting to end [01:48] this war at all costs. And again, the [01:50] official goes on to say this is why they [01:53] are doing it. And so again, [snorts] [01:54] they believe that the Iranians are [01:55] making a calculation here by launching [01:57] this ballistic missile attack against [01:59] Israel in response to the strikes that [02:01] took place against the Dahiyeh [02:03] neighborhood of southern Beirut earlier [02:05] today, a Hezbollah stronghold. But [02:07] remember what we have seen throughout [02:08] the weekend. We're just going to go back [02:10] a couple days here in the timeline, [02:11] John, of what's taken place. The [02:13] Iranians have been very bold in their [02:14] actions. They have been targeting [02:16] America's Gulf allies, including Bahrain [02:19] and Kuwait. Remember, over the weekend [02:21] it was Friday evening when, according to [02:23] US Central Command, four Iranian one-way [02:26] attack drones were launched toward the [02:27] Strait of Hormuz. The United States [02:29] responded with strikes, and we brought [02:31] you that video earlier, against Govashk, [02:34] Iran, that sits along the coast, and [02:35] also Iran's Qeshm Island. And the US [02:38] forces, according to CENTCOM, were going [02:39] after radar systems there. In response [02:42] to those strikes, the Iranians fired [02:44] again toward US forces in Kuwait. And [02:47] according to CENTCOM, six of those [02:48] missiles were shot down. But we saw last [02:51] week, when the Iranians used missiles [02:52] and drones toward Kuwait's International [02:54] Airport, the massive amount of damage [02:56] and destruction that can be caused as a [02:58] result of these Iranian projectiles. And [03:01] again, [03:02] >> Okay. [03:04] So, let's sum up the key point here, and [03:06] that's why I wanted to play you just [03:07] those two snippets. The Iranians are [03:09] calculating that the Americans don't [03:11] want to fight. And you know what? [03:13] President Trump is signaling the same [03:15] thing. Take a look at this. [03:17] We're seeing here these comments from [03:18] President Trump. [03:20] Take a look. President Trump just [03:22] addressed the latest escalation by the [03:24] mullahs. Iranian missiles slammed into [03:26] northern today. [03:28] Trump confirmed the US military's now on [03:30] high alert. The situation is fast [03:32] developing. [03:35] But he also is very upset with Israel, [03:38] apparently. Apparently, he wants Israel [03:40] to, [03:41] you know, to also scale things down. [03:43] Let's take a look at this report here. [03:44] Also, Trey Yingst [03:45] >> relatively quiet. We saw quite a bit of [03:46] traffic earlier coming from the northern [03:49] city of Haifa that was under direct [03:51] missile fire. But I just got off the [03:53] phone with a senior Israeli official who [03:55] indicated the Israelis likely are [03:58] meeting at this moment determining what [04:01] their response will be amid those [04:03] reports that President Trump is expected [04:05] to speak with Israel's Prime Minister [04:07] Benjamin Netanyahu tonight. Now, I did [04:09] speak earlier with President Trump to [04:11] ask him about the ongoing Iranian [04:13] attack. As I was speaking with the [04:15] president John off in the distance out [04:17] the window, I could see these incoming [04:19] Iranian missiles. And I asked if he had [04:21] a message to the Iranian regime and the [04:23] president told me, "What I would suggest [04:25] to Iran, you've shot your missiles. [04:27] That's enough. Get back to the table and [04:29] make a deal." The president indicating [04:31] to Fox News that a deal was just days [04:34] away, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, he [04:36] told me. And now this. And so, he is [04:38] getting briefed, according to a US [04:40] official that I spoke with, about the [04:42] situation in the region. The president [04:44] tells Fox News it's certainly not going [04:45] to help negotiations, and he went on to [04:48] say that he was not happy about the fact [04:50] the Israelis struck Beirut earlier [04:52] today, drawing this Iranian response [04:54] tonight. But again, the latest [04:56] information that [04:58] >> The Iranians are playing this perfectly, [05:01] folks. [05:02] I'm saying this with a heavy heart, with [05:04] a heavy heavy heart. When President [05:06] Trump's reaction to this situation where [05:08] the Iranians refused the ceasefire, they [05:11] rejected the ceasefire, they continue to [05:13] kill Israeli soldiers, they continue to [05:15] fire these drones and missiles at [05:17] Israeli civilians in Israel, and when [05:19] Israel retaliates, when Israel goes [05:22] after Hezbollah that everyone says they [05:24] want to get rid of, fact that Trump is [05:26] saying he's not happy with Israel, this [05:27] is a severe miscalculation. I know that [05:30] Trump believes that he's the best [05:31] negotiator on the planet, but he is [05:33] being schooled by the Iranians. They [05:36] see, they correctly read [05:40] that he does not want escalation. [05:44] So, even at a a like this where Iran [05:46] starts firing ballistic missiles at [05:48] Israel and in retaliation for Israel [05:50] going after Hezbollah who's attacking [05:52] us. [05:53] That Trump's response is everyone come [05:55] back to the negotiating table and to say [05:57] to Trey Yingst on the phone we were [05:59] close to a deal it was a day or two or [06:01] three away. How many how long has it [06:03] been a day or two or three away? Two [06:04] months now? That's the Iranians playing [06:06] their game. Oh, yeah, they give the [06:08] impression they give hope to the people [06:11] they're negotiating with that the deal [06:13] is imminent and that they're and that [06:14] things are progressing and they and they [06:16] string them along and string them along [06:18] and Trump is falling for it because he [06:20] does not want to be involved in kinetic [06:23] warfare and that as soon as the Iranians [06:25] figure that out they realized that they [06:28] could play Trump and that's what they're [06:30] doing here. [06:31] Um, you know, I could play you more of [06:32] these clips [06:34] uh of what uh of Trey's reports here. [06:37] Here's a little clip of Iranian [06:40] pro-regime people [06:41] demonstrating. [06:50] >> [cheering] [06:54] >> Yeah, yeah, so that's apparently footage [06:56] from tonight from them celebrating. And [06:58] take a look at this this report here's [06:59] in the Guardian. Middle East crisis live [07:01] Iran launches missiles towards Israel [07:03] after Lebanon air strikes and it quotes [07:04] President Trump down here. Take a look [07:06] at this. [07:12] Like Donald Trump told Fox News when [07:14] asked about the incoming [07:16] Iranian missiles that it certainly isn't [07:17] going to help negotiations. He added [07:19] what I would suggest to Iran you've shot [07:20] your missiles that's enough get back to [07:22] the table and make a deal. When asked [07:24] about Israel striking Beirut earlier [07:25] today Trump replied I'm not happy about [07:27] it. I mean this is [07:29] this is not [07:31] helpful. [07:32] Trump is getting schooled. [07:35] Look at this. Barak Ravid correspondent [07:36] for Axios said Trump told him during a [07:38] phone call Sunday the Iranian missile [07:40] fire that's today. The Iranian missile [07:42] fire didn't hit anyone. [07:44] I hope Israel doesn't respond. [07:47] Are you out of your mind? [07:50] Are you out of your mind? [07:52] We we have good air defenses and protect [07:54] our citizens from missiles that are [07:55] aimed at civilians, and we're not [07:57] supposed to respond because you're [07:58] trying to get a deal. [08:03] Seriously? [08:07] If Bibi attacks them back, it'll just [08:08] drag on like it has for the past 47 [08:10] years or the past 3,000 years. Yeah, [08:12] that's because there are evil people who [08:14] want to kill us. [08:19] It's like Trump has forgotten what peace [08:21] through strength is. [08:23] He honestly believes that he can make a [08:25] deal with people and that he he's [08:27] falling for their tactics. Watch the [08:29] video I just made earlier today [08:32] about the Iranian negotiating tactics, [08:34] digging down into the into the into the [08:37] uh [08:38] you know, the cultural thinking behind [08:40] the way they negotiate. [08:42] Explaining it. [08:45] We're very close to a final deal with [08:46] Iran. It'll be a good deal. I don't want [08:48] it to blow up because of what's [08:50] happening now, Trump added. I I Does he [08:52] realize how foolish he seems? [08:54] The Iranians played him perfectly. [08:57] I said before the war started [09:01] that they want kinetic war. They want it [09:03] to be a war [09:07] because they know that it will be [09:09] unpopular in the US, and they know that [09:11] they will not be brought down. They know [09:13] that there will not be troops on the [09:14] ground. They know that the regime will [09:16] remain intact. And therefore, because of [09:19] their culture, the Shiite Persian [09:22] culture, where resilience is victory, [09:26] where when a more powerful enemy tries [09:28] to destroy you and fails [09:31] because of your resolve, you are [09:33] victorious. [09:36] This is being handed to them on a silver [09:39] platter right now. [09:42] If the result of this is that Trump is [09:44] pressuring Israel to go easy, to back [09:48] off, [09:50] that is handing that Here's how it's [09:53] interpreted in Tehran. [09:55] When they see Trump say that he's not [09:58] happy with Bibi or that Bibi shouldn't [09:59] respond, [10:02] they consider that [10:04] Trump doing their bidding, and it shows [10:07] how strong they are that he has to [10:08] satisfy them. [10:10] And he has to he has to rein in Israel [10:12] to satisfy them, that that's a show of [10:14] their own power. That hands them [10:16] leverage. It hands them credibility in [10:18] the eyes of their people. [10:20] The Iranian [10:21] The Iranian people culturally respect [10:23] strong leaders. [10:26] And when their leaders seem resilient [10:28] and strong and not going anywhere, it [10:30] means that the people are less inclined [10:33] to stand up against them. They stand up [10:35] against them when they when their [10:36] leaders seem like they are losing their [10:39] grip, when they're losing when they're [10:41] losing power. And that's why in December [10:44] and January where it looked like the [10:45] regime was actually losing power, the [10:46] people came out into the streets. But [10:48] right now, because of the way this [10:50] negotiation is being handled, I'm saying [10:52] it very clearly. Because of the way this [10:55] negotiation is being handled right now [10:56] by the Trump administration, the Iranian [10:58] regime is getting stronger by the day, [11:00] and this attack today, this ballistic [11:02] missile attack was inevitable. Think [11:03] about this. The Iranians have been [11:05] saying, "Oh, we we want de-escalation in [11:07] Lebanon. We want the hostilities in [11:08] Lebanon to end." Remember, Hezbollah is [11:10] an arm of Iran. [11:14] If Iran wanted Hezbollah to stop [11:15] attacking Israel, and and that would [11:17] mean that there'd be no, you know, if [11:19] Hezbollah wasn't firing anything at us, [11:21] yeah, we could keep it quiet, too. [11:24] We're only responding to them. [11:28] So, while they're saying to the [11:29] Americans, "We want a de-escalation in [11:30] Lebanon," they're obviously still orders [11:32] to the to Hezbollah to keep attacking [11:35] Israel. [11:36] Why are they doing that? Because they [11:37] want to escalation. [11:39] And they want Trump to be squirming to [11:41] try to de-escalate because he thinks [11:43] there's a deal. They're handling this [11:45] perfectly. [11:47] Now they've got a situation where Trump [11:49] feels that he's so close to a deal that [11:50] he's going to pressure Israel [11:53] to back off of Hezbollah and back off of [11:55] them and they could look at their people [11:57] and say, "You see, we're controlling [11:59] what the president of the United States [12:01] does." [12:02] That's how they see it. You don't get to [12:04] choose how your behavior is interpreted. [12:08] And the American behavior right now is [12:09] interpreted as weakness and confusion [12:12] and lack of resolve. That's what the [12:14] Iranians see. You don't have to like it, [12:16] but that is what it is. [12:18] And President Trump has got it backwards [12:20] here. When he thinks, if he really [12:22] thinks that they were about to sign a [12:23] great deal with him in the next couple [12:25] of days, he is delusional. I'm sorry to [12:28] say it. I love the man. He's done great [12:30] things, but he has mishandled this [12:32] situation and he's mishandled it badly.
