Transcript [00:00] So, everyone's been talking about the [00:01] deal, right? The deal that we're making [00:03] that that Trump is about to make with [00:05] the Iranian regime. [00:07] And the main elements of the deal, the [00:09] key elements of the deal according to [00:11] Axios and according to the New York [00:13] Times, according to everyone, are that [00:15] the Straits of Hormuz will be open, [00:16] there will be sanctions relief or some [00:18] sort of financial relief to the Iranian [00:20] regime. [00:22] And [00:24] you know, they're and and they'll turn [00:25] over the enriched uranium and this will [00:27] prevent Iran from ever getting a nuclear [00:30] weapon or at least there'll be [00:31] negotiations for the next 30 to 60 days [00:33] about that. Now, what I want to do in [00:35] this video is I want to look at how [00:38] President Trump is talking about his [00:39] objectives right now in this deal and [00:42] how those are also being stated by [00:44] Secretary of State Marco Rubio. So, in [00:46] other words, what does the United States [00:48] say that its current objectives are and [00:50] I want to compare that to the stated [00:53] objectives of the military action [00:56] going all the way back to Trump's [00:58] remarks on February 28th when this war [01:02] was originally launched. And through [01:05] that lens, I want to show you what is so [01:08] problematic about this potential deal [01:11] and why there's so much consternation [01:14] and worry about this deal not only [01:16] coming out of Israel but coming out of a [01:17] lot of people who been watching this war [01:19] closely and are concerned that this [01:21] might actually be a mistake. Now, that [01:24] doesn't mean I I I want to be very clear [01:26] in the comments to some of my videos [01:28] where I've criticized what Trump is [01:29] doing now, people are saying, "Oh, you [01:31] don't trust Trump." It's not that I [01:32] don't trust him. I'm just looking at [01:33] what we see. Of course, Trump can [01:35] reverse course. He could be doing a [01:37] misdirection play. There's always [01:40] opportunities to correct course and and [01:44] and fix what looks like a bad direction. [01:46] That does not change the fact that the [01:47] ceasefire at the beginning of April that [01:49] we're still in the middle of has helped [01:52] the Iranian regime. It's made it far [01:53] more difficult to achieve the objectives [01:57] of the war and to and to really achieve [01:59] the objectives from Israel's perspective [02:01] of the fall of the regime. And this [02:03] brings to this brings to into focus the [02:08] divergence between Israeli objectives [02:10] and US objectives. We've talked about [02:12] this since before the war that the US [02:14] and Israel do not have the same goals [02:16] and I've warned since before the war [02:18] that as much as we're working lockstep [02:20] and we're arm-in-arm and [02:21] shoulder-to-shoulder, we always have to [02:23] be aware [02:24] that [02:25] that at some point there could come a [02:27] there could there could reach a fork in [02:29] the road where American interests and [02:31] Israeli interests do not [02:34] you know, do not remain the same and [02:35] there could be some divergence and we [02:37] might be at that moment. We might be [02:38] experiencing that moment right now. So, [02:41] that's what I want to do in this video. [02:42] Later today, I'm going to record a [02:44] separate video where I'm going to take a [02:45] look at the Iranian media, the Iranian [02:47] regime media and and maybe some of the [02:50] other Middle Eastern media and see how [02:52] they're looking at the deal and what [02:55] they're saying about it to get some [02:57] clarity [02:58] of what to expect from that end. But, [03:00] let's take a look at President Trump. [03:02] The first clip we're going to look at is [03:04] from a week ago when you might remember [03:07] this where Trump made this announcement [03:09] that he was on the verge of resuming [03:11] attacks on the on Iran, but he got a [03:14] phone call. He got a few calls from some [03:16] Arab leaders and decided to hold off for [03:18] a couple of days. Let's take a look at [03:20] what he said there and pay close [03:22] attention to what he says. [03:24] >> Other countries have come to me and [03:26] they've said we were getting ready to do [03:28] a very major attack tomorrow. I put it [03:30] off for a little while. Hopefully, maybe [03:32] forever, but possibly for a little while [03:35] cuz we've had [03:36] very big discussions with Iran and we'll [03:39] see what they amount to by Saudi Arabia, [03:43] Qatar, UAE and some others if we could [03:46] put it off for [03:47] two or three days, a short period of [03:48] time because they think that they are [03:51] getting very close to making a deal and [03:52] if we can do that where there's no [03:54] nuclear weapon going into the hands of [03:57] Iran, I think and if they're satisfied [04:00] uh we will be probably satisfied also. [04:03] Uh we've uh informed Israel, we've [04:05] informed other people in the Middle East [04:07] that have been involved with us and [04:10] uh you know, it's a very positive [04:11] development, but we'll see whether or [04:13] not it amounts to anything. [04:18] >> Notice what he said there. [04:19] If we could get to a point where there's [04:21] no nuclear weapon going into the hands [04:23] of Iran then if they're satisfied, if [04:27] these Arab states are satisfied, then [04:28] we'll be satisfied, too. [04:31] All he mentions is the nuclear issue. [04:33] Now, of course, the Straits of Hormuz [04:34] would have to be opened and that's and [04:36] that's clear. And again, according to [04:38] the deal as it's been reported in Axios, [04:41] as it's been reported by the New York [04:42] Times the components of the deal as we [04:44] have them now, as we know of them, are [04:46] that the Straits of Hormuz would be [04:48] open, there'd be some financial relief [04:50] some sanctions relief to the Iranian [04:52] regime. There was even a a number given [04:53] on it that it would be the amount of $25 [04:55] billion. [04:57] Whatever it is, there'll be some sort of [04:58] financial relief to the Iranian regime [05:00] and that the enriched uranium would be [05:03] would be handed over. And again, in my [05:05] video that I make about how the Iranian [05:07] regime is talking about the deal, we'll [05:09] talk about that issue much more. But [05:11] that's the components of the deal as [05:14] they've been reported. Now, here is [05:16] Secretary of State Rubio [05:19] Let me pull up this clip. Here's [05:21] Secretary of State Rubio yesterday [05:24] talking about the potential deal during [05:27] his trip to India. [05:28] >> Okay, the question is about the Iranian [05:30] issue and as I said, there's been some [05:32] progress done, some progress made. Even [05:34] as I speak to you now, there's some work [05:36] being done. There is a chance that [05:37] whether it's later today, tomorrow, in a [05:39] couple days, we may have something to [05:41] say. But this issue needs to be solved [05:42] as the president said, one way or the [05:44] other. Iran can never have a nuclear [05:45] weapon. The straits need to be open [05:47] without tolls. [05:49] They need to turn over their enriched [05:50] uranium. They need to turn over their [05:52] highly enriched uranium. We need to [05:53] address that issue. We need to address [05:55] the issue of enrichment. These are the [05:57] president's points consistently. And his [05:59] preference is always to deal with it in [06:01] a diplomatic way. The president's [06:03] preference is always to solve problems [06:05] such as these through a negotiated [06:07] diplomatic solution. That's what we're [06:08] working on right now. But this problem [06:10] will be solved as the president has made [06:12] made clear one way or the other. We hope [06:14] it's done through the diplomatic route. [06:16] That's what we're working on and perhaps [06:18] there'll be something to talk about on [06:19] that topic while I'm here on this visit [06:21] at some point. [06:24] >> Aha. She says President Trump has been [06:26] consistent all along. This this [06:29] consistently been his points. So what [06:30] does he care about? Opening the Strait [06:32] of Hormuz. Iran cannot have a nuclear [06:34] weapon and they need to turn over their [06:36] enriched uranium. Those have been the [06:38] president's points consistently. That's [06:40] what he keeps saying, right? Well, have [06:42] they been? Well, they have been [06:44] recently. That's of course [06:46] all that everyone's talking about, but [06:49] let's go back to the speech that [06:51] President Trump gave [06:53] uh when the war was initially launched. [06:55] Okay, President Trump gave an 8-minute [06:58] speech [07:00] uh on February 28th [07:02] announcing the launch of the war. We're [07:03] not going to play the whole speech, but [07:05] what President Trump did in the speech, [07:07] the first like 3 minutes of it, uh 3-4 [07:10] minutes of it, he talked about the [07:11] history of all the terrible crimes that [07:13] the Iranian regime had committed against [07:15] the United States and what a danger they [07:17] all they are to the world and uh and and [07:20] how horrible they are. And he even [07:22] mentioned October 7th, all a lot of the [07:24] terrible things they'd done. And then at [07:25] about the 4-minute mark, he started [07:27] talking about the objectives of the war [07:30] that had just been launched. Let's take [07:32] a look at what President Trump said [07:33] then. [07:37] >> For these reasons, the United States [07:39] military is undertaking a massive and [07:41] ongoing operation [07:43] to prevent this very wicked radical [07:46] dictatorship from threatening America [07:49] and our core national security [07:51] interests. We are going to destroy their [07:54] missiles and raise their missile [07:56] industry to the ground. It will be [07:59] totally again obliterated. We're going [08:03] to annihilate their navy. We are going [08:05] to ensure that the region's terrorist [08:08] proxies can no longer destabilize the [08:11] region or the world and attack our [08:13] forces and no longer use their IEDs or [08:17] roadside bombs, as they are sometimes [08:20] called, to so gravely wound and kill [08:23] thousands and thousands of people [08:25] including many Americans. And we will [08:28] ensure that Iran does not obtain a [08:31] nuclear weapon. It's a very simple [08:34] message. They will never have a nuclear [08:38] weapon. [08:39] This re- [08:42] >> Okay, let's pause it there. And so I [08:45] have a little bit more to show you from [08:46] this clip. [08:47] But notice there he points out [08:50] uh three objectives [08:52] at at that point in the video. [08:54] Uh destroying their their ballistic [08:56] missile capability, their missile [08:57] capabilities. [08:59] Which uh [09:00] a lot of destruction of the missile [09:02] capabilities has happened, but we know [09:03] that the underground missile facilities [09:06] have not uh been completely destroyed. [09:09] And we have no we have no guarantee that [09:12] they that their missile that their [09:14] missile industry is completely out of [09:16] service. [09:17] Uh and that certainly can be rebuilt. [09:19] So, [09:20] that's a question about about that [09:22] objective. Destroying their navy, [09:24] definitely has happened. [09:26] Um sorry, he had four objectives. All [09:27] right, destroying the navy, destroying [09:28] the destroying the ballistic missiles, [09:30] destroying the navy, [09:31] destroying the proxies, and preventing [09:34] their terrorist proxies from being able [09:36] to threaten America and and and threaten [09:38] the world. That hasn't happened. [09:41] Hezbollah is still there. Hamas is still [09:43] there. The Houthis are still there. And [09:45] Hamas is [09:46] I'm sorry, Iran's international network, [09:48] their international financial network, [09:51] they have proxies in South America, they [09:52] have proxies all over the place. There [09:54] is no evidence whatsoever that the that [09:57] Iran's ability to finance its proxies [10:01] has been destroyed. [10:03] That's certainly I mean, again, that has [10:05] not been dealt with as a goal. But later [10:07] in the speech, he also talked about [10:09] another objective, another aspect of [10:12] this war that seems to have fallen by [10:14] the wayside. And this to me is [10:17] is uh [10:18] is the most worthy of discussion right [10:20] now. [10:24] Take a look at this. This is This is the [10:26] last minute and a half of the speech. [10:27] >> have the greatest in the world, and they [10:29] will prevail. To the members of the [10:31] Islamic Revolutionary Guard, the armed [10:35] forces, and all of the police, I say [10:38] tonight that you must lay down your [10:40] weapons and have complete immunity, or [10:43] in the alternative, face certain death. [10:47] So, lay down your arms. You will be [10:50] treated fairly with total immunity, or [10:54] you will face certain death. [10:57] Finally, to the great, proud people of [10:59] Iran, I say tonight that the hour of [11:02] your freedom is at hand. [11:04] Stay sheltered. Don't leave your home. [11:06] It's very dangerous outside. Bombs will [11:09] be dropping everywhere. [11:10] When we are finished, take over your [11:12] government. It will be yours to take. [11:15] This will be probably your only chance [11:19] for generations. [11:21] For many years, you have asked for [11:22] America's help, but you never got it. No [11:25] president was willing to do what I am [11:28] willing to do tonight. Now, you have a [11:30] president who is giving you what you [11:32] want. So, let's see how you respond. [11:36] America is backing you with overwhelming [11:38] strength and devastating force. Now is [11:41] the time to seize control of your [11:43] destiny and to unleash the prosperous [11:46] and glorious future that is close within [11:49] your reach. This is the moment for [11:51] action. Do not let it pass. May God [11:55] bless the brave men and women of [11:57] America's armed forces. May God bless [12:00] the United States of America. May God [12:03] bless you all. [12:07] >> This [12:08] to me is um [12:12] I mean, it's it's depressing just [12:13] watching it. [12:15] First of all, [12:17] did the IRGC lay down its weapons? [12:20] No. Did they face certain death? [12:22] No. [12:24] Did the Iranian people Now, the Iranian [12:26] people didn't rise up. He says, you [12:28] know, we're going to give you the [12:30] backing and this is the hour of your [12:32] freedom. Now it's time for you to rise [12:33] up and take your government. Now, what [12:34] did Trump do? [12:35] What did Trump do? Pretty soon into the [12:37] war, he started negotiating [12:40] and talking about wanting even before he [12:42] started negotiating, he started talking [12:43] about wanting to negotiate with [12:45] Ghalibaf, with Aragchi, with Vaidi, the [12:48] head of the IRGC. [12:50] Right? Ghalibaf, speaker of the house. [12:53] Aragchi, the foreign minister. He [12:54] started negotiating with the regime. [12:58] And he started talking about how he [12:59] wants to make a deal with the regime. [13:01] And he's been talking about wanting to [13:03] make a deal with the regime. [13:05] With the people who run Iran. [13:07] With the people who with [13:10] I mean, the regime is still intact. The [13:11] IRGC is still there. [13:13] And that's who he's negotiating with. [13:17] So, why would the Iranian people think [13:19] that America has their back? Why should [13:21] they rise up now? Now, you might cuz [13:23] again, Trump might say, well, you know, [13:24] I gave them the opportunity. The bombs [13:26] were falling. They could have risen up. [13:27] No, they couldn't have. They couldn't [13:29] have risen up. They don't have weapons. [13:31] They could rise up if you actually [13:33] destroy the IRGC. If the bombing had [13:35] continued, if they hadn't stopped the [13:37] war at the beginning of April [13:40] and thrown a lifeline to the regime and [13:42] to the IRGC, yes, it could have [13:44] continued. [13:46] Had they allowed Israel to keep doing [13:48] what they were doing, Israel was taking [13:49] out the Basij headquarters and and Basij [13:52] personnel and check and army and and [13:54] IRGC checkpoints. [13:56] Israel was doing that, but they were [13:57] they were they were they had to slam on [14:00] the brakes [14:01] when this ceasefire went into effect. [14:06] The The Iranian people were not granted [14:08] any opportunity whatsoever to seize [14:10] their freedom. [14:12] They were completely [14:14] betrayed by this. [14:16] I mean, Trump, again, he announces on [14:18] day one of the war that I am now going [14:20] to give you the opportunity to take your [14:22] government back and to finally achieve [14:24] your freedom. This is your only chance. [14:26] And we're going to be, you know, and the [14:28] IRGC, you better lay down your weapons [14:29] or you'll face certain death. None of [14:32] that was followed through on. None of [14:34] that. [14:37] And this is [14:38] Again, I am a huge fan of President [14:40] Trump. [14:41] I'm a huge fan. I can't even imagine the [14:44] the dystopian [14:47] tragedy the the the hell that we'd be [14:49] living in if Kamala Harris had won that [14:51] election. So, don't get me wrong. I'm [14:54] thrilled with what President Trump has [14:55] done [14:57] compared to the alternatives. [15:00] But he said this. [15:01] He said this on February 28th. He stated [15:04] as an objective of the war [15:06] as a as a [15:07] as an aspiration at the very least, but [15:10] he also stated as a trajectory of the [15:12] war that they're going to destroy the [15:13] IRGC. [15:15] He Think of what he said. Lay down your [15:17] weapons or face certain death. No. [15:20] He He to the Iranian people, take to the [15:22] streets. You're going to be given the [15:24] opportunity to take your government [15:25] back." And then he starts negotiating [15:26] with that government, trying to cut a [15:28] deal with them. [15:30] Throwing them a lifeline. [15:33] That's what's so tragic about this [15:35] situation that we're in right now. [15:39] Who knows when there will ever be [15:41] another opportunity to bring down this [15:42] regime, and Trump is saving them right [15:44] now with this deal. He thinks he's not. [15:46] He thinks he's, you know, he's going to [15:48] really tighten the screws on them, and [15:49] they're not going to be able to have a [15:50] nuclear weapon, and and they're going to [15:52] be, you know, and and we've already just [15:53] And every time he's asked about it, he [15:55] says, "Well, we already destroyed their [15:56] navy, and we already destroyed their You [15:57] know, they have nothing. They have [15:58] nothing. They have nothing." They don't [15:59] care. [16:01] That doesn't destroy them. [16:03] You think that destroys them because if [16:05] if that happened to you, you would have [16:06] surrendered. But that's not the way they [16:08] operate. [16:10] That's what's so tragic about this, and [16:12] we shouldn't forget it. We should not be [16:14] satisfied if the uranium is handed over. [16:18] Because the Chinese are still in their [16:20] corner. [16:21] The Pakistanis are still in their [16:22] corner. The Russians are still in their [16:24] corner. [16:25] And if they're thrown a lifeline, if [16:26] they continue to exist, if they're [16:28] allowed to start selling oil again, [16:29] which is also part of this deal, [16:33] they will rebuild. They will come down [16:36] even harder on their population. They [16:37] don't care how many of them they murder. [16:43] And and, you know, listen, the Iranian [16:45] people have been betrayed by Western [16:47] leaders many times. [16:50] Many times. [16:52] I mean, I hate to say it. If that's [16:53] where this ends for the Iranian people, [16:56] this betrayal is uh [17:00] it's it's it's terrible. It's terrible. [17:03] Sorry I'm coming down so hard on [17:05] President Trump, but uh [17:07] I mean, just when you watch that clip [17:10] and you think about the way he's talking [17:11] now and who he's talking to now, [17:13] it's a it's tragic. It's tragic that it [17:16] ended this way. If it's if this is it, [17:18] if this is where we are. [17:20] Now again, that doesn't mean that he [17:21] can't he can't reverse course and it [17:22] doesn't mean that the people can't at [17:24] some point try to rise up, but what are [17:25] their chances of success? The IRGC is [17:28] being empowered [17:30] by a potential deal. [17:33] Even the even the talk of a deal. [17:36] The people in Iran know that Trump is [17:37] negotiating with the people who are [17:39] responsible for slaughtering them. [17:42] Why should they think why should they [17:43] think [17:45] that he would have their back if they [17:46] took to the streets? [17:48] It's a tragic situation that we're in. [17:50] We have to pray that uh this works out [17:52] for the best. [17:54] And uh and that uh the Trump [17:56] administration reverses course on this [17:58] because it's only getting more difficult [17:59] to take out you know to finish the job [18:02] considering where we are in this story. [18:05] All right, that's all I have for this [18:06] one. [18:07] Thanks for watching. God bless.
