Transcript [00:00] People from all over the world are [00:02] coming to Jerusalem. They understood [00:04] years [music] ago it's time that you [00:06] will understand what all the Jews you [00:08] see here around us understanding and [00:10] enjoying their life not thinking about [00:13] what this president or prime minister in [00:15] your country will decide if you are [00:17] allowed to go with kipa or not, if it's [00:19] dangerous for you to walk in kipa. [00:21] Everybody walking in with kipa, talking [00:23] Hebrew or English, whatever they decide, [00:26] but feel like home. This is Jerusalem, [00:28] the home of all of us. Come home. Come [00:30] back home. [00:31] >> I'm here in the beautiful streets of [00:33] Jerusalem. I CANNOT BELIEVE THE ENERGY [00:35] and the life that's here right now. I [00:36] was away, I was in America, I was in [00:38] Canada, I was even in Cyprus. And every [00:40] place, you know, has its beauty, but the [00:42] energy that's happening here is [00:43] unbelievable. I'm here with these guys [00:47] right over here, the deputy mayor [00:49] [music] of the city, Aryeh King. Aryeh, [00:51] what is this energy that's happening [00:53] here? [00:54] >> Look look at the [00:55] streets are full with people. Jewish [00:57] heritage shining. [01:00] Everything is so beautiful, nice [01:01] weather. You're not sweating like in Tel [01:04] Aviv or everywhere else next to the sea. [01:07] Thousands of people it's a we are in the [01:09] middle of the day, it's just Sunday, not [01:12] a special day for us in Israel, and [01:15] thousands of people going to the old [01:17] city, enjoying the weather, enjoying the [01:19] city. [01:20] And I'm asking you guys [01:22] where is all of your audience? What are [01:24] they are doing in London or in Paris or [01:27] in New York? Why [01:29] we don't see you here with us enjoying [01:32] this lovely holy city? [01:34] >> The truth is, Aryeh, is that I [01:37] was in Cyprus and other places. I spoke [01:39] with Jews from England. I spoke with [01:41] Jews from Paris. I spoke with Jews from [01:44] New York, of course. And people are [01:46] feeling [music] [01:47] that they're not comfortable anymore. [01:49] They want a piece of Jerusalem. One of [01:51] the challenges that they face is that [01:52] it's very expensive. Okay, how How we [01:55] make it so it's a little less expensive? [01:56] You were telling me that there's new [01:58] projects, new opportunities in [02:00] Jerusalem. Is that right? [02:01] >> Yes, Misha, it's right. Of course, you [02:03] will not find a [02:04] cheaper cheap places here in central of [02:07] town, [02:08] but if you go further to the south or to [02:10] the north of Jerusalem, Misha, it's [02:12] still in Jerusalem. If you use the light [02:14] train to Pisgat Ze'ev, you are 20 [02:16] minutes from here to the north of [02:18] Jerusalem, and there you can find a [02:20] apartment for a [02:21] 25, 26,000 shekel per meter. It It's [02:25] less than 1 million dollar for a [02:28] five-room apartment. [02:29] >> Okay, less than 1 million dollars for [02:30] five-room apartment [02:32] >> in Jerusalem. [02:32] >> in Pisgat Ze'ev. That's right. On the [02:33] train, on the light rail. Okay. Uh but [02:36] you also were telling me that there's [02:37] new opportunities in so-called Eastern [02:40] Jerusalem. Is that right? [02:41] >> Of course. [02:42] >> [music] [02:43] >> Uh oh, if you look for opportunities, [02:44] don't look for them here in Jaffa [02:46] Street. [02:46] >> Okay. [02:47] >> Here you would find a lot of people, but [02:48] if you look for opportunities, look for [02:50] the places where you never visit, [02:52] unfortunately yet. But if you contact [02:54] Misha, you and me, we would take you [02:56] there to Jabel Mukaber, to Sur Baher, to [02:59] Umm Tuba, to Silwan. So So So we are in [03:02] all Arab so-called Arab [music] [03:04] neighborhood in east of Jerusalem, and [03:06] there you will find opportunity. You can [03:08] find a very cheap apartment. I'm telling [03:10] you, [03:12] in 10 years, it will be much more [03:14] expensive than what you will purchase it [03:16] and buy it in these days. [03:18] >> All right, so you're helping develop [03:19] some of these as as deputy deputy mayor [03:22] here, and also the Israel Land Fund that [03:24] you used to be the head of [03:26] through these these arms. You're helping [03:29] develop Eastern Jerusalem, Jabel [03:31] Mukaber, these places. I mean, these are [03:33] places where terrorists have come from, [03:34] and now you're saying that they're that [03:36] Jerusalem is going to be building Jewish [03:37] apartments there? [03:38] >> In the past, terrorists come from there, [03:40] but today we are we are there. We are [03:43] coming to these neighborhoods, and once [03:45] we are entering to these neighborhoods, [03:47] they become quiet. They will not be [03:49] blooming like here in Jaffa Street, but [03:51] they will be quiet and safer [03:54] Uh more than they are today. Remembering [03:57] [music] you lived with us in Mount of [03:58] Olives. Before we moved to Mount of [04:00] Olives at Malha the team neighborhood, [04:02] it was a dangerous neighborhood. But [04:04] today children 6 7 years years old can [04:07] walk in the streets of Mount of Olives [04:09] to the old city [04:11] in the midday without you know thinking [04:14] about some Arab doing something to them. [04:16] It's safer and the same will happen [04:18] everywhere where Jews [04:19] >> By the way, speaking of safety, let's [04:20] just see two police cars and a police [04:23] motorcycle [04:25] traveling through the town making sure [04:26] it's safe. There's also Arabs walking [04:28] around here and they're behaving [04:29] properly. Part of the city, part of the [04:31] part of the [04:33] mosaic of of this town. [04:35] Listen Ari [04:37] I was amazed by the fact that people in [04:39] the diaspora are really starting to feel [04:41] not safe there in Paris, in Toronto, in [04:44] Montreal, in London, in Manchester. And [04:47] these are I would have not said this [04:49] unless these people say it to me. And I [04:51] said to them back, "How much does God [04:53] love you?" [04:55] How much does he love you that he's [04:57] sending this thing to bring you home to [04:59] be part of this thing? What do you [05:00] think? Is that a fair statement? [05:01] >> You're coming from the side of it's so [05:03] dangerous for you in Toronto, Montreal, [05:06] maybe somewhere else, everywhere in the [05:08] world. But look again look he said look [05:11] at this street. [05:12] Look. [05:13] Blooming. [05:14] >> Colors. It's true. [05:15] >> People from all over the [05:17] the world are coming to Jerusalem. They [05:20] understood years ago it's time that you [05:22] will understand what all the Jews you [05:24] see here around us understanding and [05:26] enjoying their life not thinking about [05:29] what this [05:31] president or prime minister in your [05:32] country will decide if you are allowed [05:34] to go with kippah or not, if it's [05:36] dangerous for you to walk with kippah. [05:38] Everybody walking with kippah talking [05:40] Hebrew or English, whatever they decide, [05:43] but feel like home. This is Jerusalem [05:45] the home of all of us. Come home. Come [05:47] back home. [05:48] >> And and and I think a lot of people want [05:51] and they believe what you're saying. [05:52] They know it. They're just looking for [05:54] that opportunity or that trigger, the [05:56] thing to overcome a challenge. Their mom [05:58] is there. Their job is there. [06:01] Uh my my daughter tells me that she's [06:02] got a lot of friends whose fathers fly [06:04] to France or to England to continue to [06:06] work. And I say, "All the respect as we [06:08] say in Hebrew, kol hakavod. Wow." [06:11] Uh that that somebody flies to make to [06:12] to continue to bring [06:14] uh sustenance to the household. But but [06:17] but has their children and family live [06:19] in the land of Israel. You got to take [06:20] that step. You got to find that trigger. [06:22] You got to overcome the fear factor and [06:24] the change factor, the mentality factor. [06:26] And you know, the land of Israel pushes [06:28] back against you a little bit to see if [06:30] you're serious about being close to God [06:32] and and building Jerusalem. Uh Ari King, [06:34] thank you so much for all that you're [06:35] doing. I know you're going out for a [06:37] trip to to uh the United States uh to [06:40] meet with people to connect them to the [06:41] building of Jerusalem, to explain to [06:43] them what's going on here. So, we want [06:44] to wish you a a lot of success in that [06:45] trip. Thank you, Eshay. How do people [06:47] reach you? [06:48] >> Just uh call me. Very simple. [06:50] 054-333- [06:53] 1058. And you get to me directly. [06:56] >> Wow. I would never give you my telephone [06:58] number, but Ari has uh God bless you. Uh [07:01] keep up the good work. There's that [07:02] light rail bringing you to Jerusalem. [07:04] Let's take that light rail to the [07:06] temple, to to the third temple in [07:08] Jerusalem. [07:08] >> Be that as it may. [07:09] >> All right, folks. God bless you and [07:11] thank you so much for being with me and [07:12] Ari King here in beautiful Jerusalem. Be [07:14] part of it. And I want to remind you to [07:16] build Israel together with me and with [07:18] God and with Ari King. buildisrael.com. [07:21] Uh and also uh buymeacoffee.com/ishay. [07:24] buymeacoffee.com/ishay. [07:26] Ari, God bless you. Deputy Mayor of this [07:28] town. Everybody should be thankful. [07:32] >> Shalom.
