Transcript [00:00] Israel just attacked an airbase in Syria [00:03] near the Turkish border. As it turns [00:05] out, Turkey was on the verge of moving [00:07] their troops into that [music] airbase, [00:09] which is why Israel did the strike. [00:12] Neither Turkey nor Syria were warned by [00:14] Israel in advance, and as we'll go into, [00:17] a direct hot conflict between Israel and [00:19] Turkey was [music] barely avoided. For [00:22] now, this comes as official reports [00:24] surfaced revealing that Syria in fact [00:26] possesses [music] dangerous nuclear [00:28] material, and both Turkey and Syria move [00:31] closer in their relations with Pakistan. [00:36] This past Tuesday evening, Israel [00:38] carried out eight air strikes on the Abu [00:40] al-Duhur airbase and in northern Syria, [00:43] just over 40 miles east of the Turkish [00:45] border. As far as we can tell, the [00:47] Israeli strikes were targeting the [00:49] facility's primary runway and storage [00:51] infrastructure. Syrian officials are [00:53] saying the base was largely empty and no [00:56] human lives were lost. The Syrian [00:58] Foreign Ministry was quick to also state [01:01] that the attack was a violation of its [01:03] sovereignty and territorial integrity [01:06] and an unjustified act of aggression. [01:09] But as it turns out, Syria wasn't the [01:11] primary target of this attack. On Monday [01:14] evening, the day before the attack, a [01:16] Turkish military delegation was actually [01:19] visiting the very site Israel bombed. [01:21] The purpose of this visit, according to [01:23] Israel, was to set the stage for the [01:26] deployment of Turkish troops at the [01:29] airbase. According to a statement from [01:31] the Prime Minister's office, quote, [01:33] "Israel repeatedly warned Syria that [01:35] such a deployment would pose a threat to [01:37] Israel's security. Syria chose to ignore [01:40] these warnings." BB also added in a [01:43] statement of his own, quote, "We made [01:45] the message very clear. Don't. [01:48] Apparently, they did not hear it clearly [01:50] enough, so we made sure they understood [01:52] it better. Overall, this is a very bold [01:55] and risky move by Israel. From their [01:57] perspective, Turkey is actively moving [01:59] toward controlling huge swaths of Syrian [02:01] territory and turning the Syrian [02:03] military into a Turkish proxy force for [02:06] their own purposes. Over the past 10 [02:09] years, Turkey has been carrying out a [02:10] creeping invasion or annexation of [02:13] Syrian land. Ever since Assad fell, [02:15] Israel has occupied 78 square miles in [02:18] Syria as a security zone or buffer [02:21] between the two borders. Turkey, for [02:23] their part, has reoccupied 3,500 [02:26] miles over the past decade, which is [02:29] insane. Obviously, this poses a huge [02:31] threat to Israel because of the [02:33] significant stretch of border that they [02:34] share with Syria and because of Turkey's [02:37] extreme level of hostility toward Israel [02:39] and the Jewish people. And as Bibi said, [02:42] Israel issued a red line to Turkey, "No [02:45] more invading Syria, no more moving [02:48] Turkish troops into the strategic Syrian [02:50] bases." And Turkey was on the verge of [02:52] crossing that red line, so Israel pulled [02:55] the trigger. This was a very bold move [02:58] by Israel, but also incredibly risky. [03:01] According to US envoy to Syria Tom [03:03] Barrack, he said, quote, "Turkish forces [03:06] were not aware that the Israeli aircraft [03:08] were in route to that specific Syrian [03:10] base, nor of their intended purpose, and [03:12] therefore could potentially have been [03:14] inclined to scramble their own jets in [03:16] the belief that they themselves were [03:18] under attack." Basically, according to [03:20] Tom Barrack here, Israel just sent jets [03:22] toward Turkey to bomb a location just 40 [03:25] miles off their border. A location [03:27] Turkey was very close to moving troops [03:29] into in the near future. What would have [03:32] happened if Turkey had thought they were [03:34] under attack themselves and scrambled [03:36] their own jets? Then would have things [03:38] escalated? Would Syria have gotten [03:40] involved? Also, both Pakistan and Saudi [03:42] Arabia now have a mutual defense [03:45] agreement with Turkey, meaning that if [03:46] things got serious, both countries would [03:48] be bound by their agreement to join a [03:50] war against Israel. Turkey, for their [03:53] part, denied the allegations that they [03:55] were seeking to move troops into the [03:56] Syrian base, but Syrian officials have [03:58] actually admitted that Turkish officials [04:00] did in fact visit the base the day [04:02] before the strikes. Even though Timur [04:05] Erak has been very loud in his [04:06] condemnation of Israel over this attack, [04:08] expressing his concern, when asked about [04:10] it, President Trump said he can't speak [04:13] about it. In a second, we'll get into [04:15] the escalating threat that Turkey is [04:17] posing in Syria, plus what's happening [04:19] with this new military material in [04:21] Syria. But first, here's the simplest [04:23] way to actually stand with Israel. [04:26] Become an Israel Guys member. Not [05:11] only is Turkey actively arming Syria, [05:14] training their soldiers, occupying huge [05:16] swaths of territory with Turkish troops, [05:18] but now they just moved an advanced [05:20] radar system to the Damascus [05:22] International Airport. Israeli officials [05:24] fear that this Turkish military [05:25] installation could severely restrict [05:28] Israel's freedom of movement in the [05:29] area, as who knows who the intelligence [05:32] from the radar is actually being passed [05:34] on to. Turkey is increasingly moving [05:37] further and further from their [05:38] coordination with the United States. We [05:41] can't forget that Congress just recently [05:43] refused to sell F-35s to Turkey, a jet [05:46] the US has sold to a lot of countries [05:48] that aren't even that tight with the US. [05:51] Also, both Turkey and Syria are [05:53] increasingly growing their coordination [05:55] with Pakistan. We're just in the heels [05:57] of the joint defense agreement signed [05:59] between Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi [06:02] Arabia. And just the day after the [06:04] Israeli strikes in Syria, Syria's [06:06] foreign minister arrived in Pakistan for [06:08] a historic visit to meet with the [06:10] Pakistani Prime Minister. Apparently, [06:13] this was the first official visit to [06:15] Pakistan in 17 years, and the two sides [06:18] discussed ways to strengthen cooperation [06:20] in various fields between the two [06:22] countries. And all of this brings us to [06:25] what they call Site 99 in Syria. Site 99 [06:30] is a highly secret facility where Assad [06:32] stored nuclear material and debris from [06:35] their nuclear reactor project that [06:36] Israel destroyed in 2007. As a far as we [06:40] can tell, Site 99 is stocked with tons [06:43] of yellowcake uranium, which is a [06:45] concentrated powder produced in the [06:46] early stages of enrichment. While this [06:49] yellowcake isn't actually weapons-grade, [06:52] it could be used for further enrichment [06:54] or for the creation of a dirty bomb. [06:57] According to recent reports, Israel at [06:59] one point bombed the entrances to Site [07:01] 99, making accessing the material stored [07:03] inside impossible without heavy [07:06] equipment. But, if someone with the [07:09] correct mining equipment should come [07:10] along to help the Syrians access the [07:12] material, the results could be very [07:15] dangerous. Don't forget that the current [07:17] Syrian president is a former ISIS [07:19] commander, and even though he can wear a [07:21] big smile, dress in a suit, and flatter [07:23] President Trump in the Oval Office, he [07:25] has done unspeakable things to the [07:27] so-called enemies of Islam. And still, [07:30] in the so-called moderate administration [07:32] of Syria, Syrian commanders and soldiers [07:35] are still chanting about the rivers of [07:37] blood that will flow from Tel Aviv, and [07:40] chanting about marching on Jerusalem to [07:42] wipe the Jews into the sea. And for [07:44] these guys to access tons of dirty bomb [07:46] material from site 99, I don't think I [07:49] need to detail the risks there. To be [07:52] clear, publicly Syria is saying that [07:54] they plan to hand the material over to [07:56] the US and the UN nuclear governing [07:59] body. But before they hand it over, it [08:01] must be excavated and in between the [08:03] excavation process and delivering it to [08:05] outside agencies, how much of it could [08:07] just disappear? No one seems to know [08:10] exactly how much material is actually [08:11] stored there. So if some of it or most [08:14] of it were to disappear, who would be [08:16] the wiser? As we're seeing through both [08:19] of these stories today, a major [08:21] battlefield is unfolding before our eyes [08:23] in Syria. Not only with the threats by [08:25] former ISIS commanders now wearing suits [08:27] controlling the territory, but now with [08:29] Turkey, the sworn enemy of Israel, [08:32] taking more and more control over the [08:35] region. There's a lot of talk in the IDF [08:37] about the growing level of concern with [08:38] these threats and something tells me all [08:40] of this is just getting started.
