Israel to start building colossal 500-kilometer barrier

Israel just dropped some bombshell news this week: construction has officially begun on the Eastern Security Barrier – a colossal 500-kilometer, 5.5-billion-shekel shield that will run the length of our border with Syria and Jordan, from the Golan Heights all the way down the Jordan Valley to Eilat.
If the Gaza border fence is the story of a nation forced to protect itself against a genocidal neighbor living literally next door (65 km of steel, concrete, sensors, underground walls, and naval barriers built painfully over decades to stop rockets, tunnels, and massacres), then this eastern wall is its strategic big brother: longer, smarter, and far more proactive.
Gaza’s wall was forged in the fire of constant terror spilling from a coastal strip the size of a city. The eastern wall is being born to strangle a slower, colder threat: Iran’s grand plan to flood Judea and Samaria with precision missiles, explosives, and trained killers through the wide-open desert corridors of Jordan and the chaos of post-Assad Syria.
Where Gaza demanded an impenetrable defensive wall to survive the present, the eastern barrier is being built to secure the future.
And make no mistake: every kilometer of this wall is a thunderous declaration of permanence over Judea and Samaria. By choking off the arms pipeline that fuels Palestinian terrorism in our biblical heartland and by physically protecting the Jewish communities rising on those ancient Jewish hills, Israel is drawing an iron line in the sand: these are not “occupied territories” to be haggled away; they are the cradle of the nation, and we are staying, and we will defend them with everything we’ve got.
The eastern wall tells the world we will never again let that enemy arm itself behind our backs.
