Transcript [00:00] Since October 7th, the Hamas supporters [00:02] and apologists have justified the terror [00:04] attack claiming it's a natural response [00:07] to 75 years of oppression. Firstly, [00:11] rape, mutilation, and the slaughter of [00:13] innocents is never a valid response to [00:17] anything. But, it's true that the [00:19] conflict didn't start on October 7th. It [00:22] didn't start in 1967. It didn't even [00:25] start in 1948. What they call 75 years [00:29] of oppression is actually 75 years of [00:32] Israel being forced to endure [00:34] Palestinian Arab violence. In 1947, the [00:37] UN chose to split the British mandate of [00:39] Palestine into a Jewish state and an [00:41] Arab state. The Jewish community [00:43] accepted the decision, while the Arab [00:45] world rejected it. Instead of founding a [00:48] Palestinian state alongside a Jewish [00:51] one, the Arab world went to war with [00:54] Israel immediately after its founding [00:57] hoping to eradicate it. But, they lost. [01:00] And instead of pursuing peace, Israel's [01:02] Arab neighbors and the Palestinian [01:04] leadership have engaged in decades of [01:06] war and terrorism against the Jewish [01:09] state. Israel prevailed in each war and [01:12] successfully fought back against each [01:14] wave of terrorism. And after each loss, [01:16] the Arab world demanded a return to what [01:19] existed before. Now, 75 years later, [01:21] Israel has established itself as a [01:23] democracy with a flourishing economy, [01:25] while collapsing Arab states and [01:27] Palestinian terror organizations are [01:29] still wasting their resources trying to [01:32] get rid of Israel. So, while these [01:35] shouting masses might be right that it [01:37] didn't start on October 7th, they're [01:39] wrong about what did start it.
This didn’t start on October 7.
It didn’t start in 1967.
And it didn’t start in 1948.
The claim of “75 years of oppression” leaves out 75 years of Palestinian-Arab violence against Israel and Jews.
If we’re going to talk about how this conflict started, then let’s actually talk about it.
