Transcript [00:00] So, there's a lot going on in New York [00:02] City these days. The Jewish community [00:03] has been under attack. There have been [00:06] protests outside of synagogues. There [00:09] was a a pretty violent protest outside [00:11] of synagogue where they were having a [00:13] real estate fair selling property in [00:15] Israel because some of the property was [00:17] also in Judea and Samaria, otherwise [00:19] known as the West Bank. [00:20] And uh the Jewish community really feels [00:23] under attack. So, they put together a [00:25] group of activists, very important [00:27] organizations like End Jew Hatred, which [00:30] is led by the great Brooke Goldstein. [00:32] And uh you know, they took the lead and [00:35] numerous other organizations took part [00:37] in it as well. And I want to show you [00:38] what happened there yesterday and talk [00:40] about the situation in New York these [00:43] days. So, first here's some uh here's [00:45] what the protest looked like. This [00:47] obviously is sped up view of the crowd [00:50] outside of Gracie Mansion in New York. [00:52] That's uh uh Mayor Mumdani's That's the [00:55] mayor's official residence in New York. [00:57] And they were again, they were [00:58] protesting what has happened the Jewish [01:00] community. Let's take a look at the [01:01] coverage. [01:02] Uh what what do we see here? Here's a [01:05] Times of Israel story on it. Jewish [01:07] groups lead protest of hundreds outside [01:09] Mumdani's residence. I don't know what [01:10] the actual number was. In first Jewish [01:13] protest at mayor's mansion, the crowd [01:15] chants Mumdani's got to go amid [01:17] increasing frustration in community [01:19] with City Hall. Hundreds of Jewish New [01:21] Yorkers and allies protested on Tuesday [01:23] night outside the official residence of [01:25] New York City Mayor Zoran Mumdani. [01:27] Mumdani has long been at odds with the [01:29] mainstream Jewish community due to his [01:31] antagonism toward Israel. But Tuesday's [01:34] protest was the first Jewish community [01:35] rally at his residence on the Upper East [01:37] Side of Manhattan. The first. I believe [01:39] that there will be more and hopefully [01:41] they'll grow. The activist group End Jew [01:42] Hatred organized the rally with the [01:44] backing of groups including the Israeli [01:46] American Council, the Catholic League, [01:48] and the Zionist Organization of America. [01:50] Organizers said the protesters were [01:52] demanding Mumdani's removal from office [01:54] over his failure to address writing [01:56] rising radicalization and anti-American [01:59] extremism in New York City. The crowd [02:01] waved American and Israeli flags, [02:03] chanted USA, "Zohran Mamdani has got to [02:06] go." [02:07] and from the river to the sea, New York [02:09] City will be free. Okay, I guess what [02:11] river I guess we're talking about the [02:12] maybe the Hudson to the Atlantic, I [02:14] don't know. Attendees carried signs that [02:17] said remove Mamdani and anti-Zionism [02:19] gets Jews killed. [02:22] Um [02:26] I want to get down. Here we go. The [02:27] crowd was mostly Jewish alongside [02:29] supporters from Christian, Muslim, and [02:31] Iranian expat communities. There was [02:33] actually one Muslim organization that [02:35] took part in this moderate Muslims who [02:37] are against the Muslim Brotherhood and [02:40] the other more unfortunately the [02:43] majority of Muslims organizations. [02:46] They're opposed to them and it's led by [02:48] someone named Aneela Ali. [02:50] Uh and she came to the rally and she led [02:52] a [02:53] There were again there were there was a [02:54] Muslim crowd there as well. Organizers [02:56] estimated around 1,000 people attended [02:58] over the course of the protest. [03:00] In response to Muslims attending the [03:02] protest, New York City Council member [03:04] Shahana Hanif, a hard-left lawmaker from [03:08] Brooklyn, said on X, "May Allah condemn [03:11] you to Jahannam." using the Arabic word [03:14] for hell. [03:16] The comment drew blowback from Jewish [03:17] legislators. "Pretty harsh reaction to [03:19] people speaking in America." said New [03:21] York State Assemblyman Kalman Yeger. [03:23] The protest took place within a within a [03:25] barricaded area on the street opposite [03:27] Gracie Mansion. There was a heavy police [03:29] presence between the protesters and the [03:31] residents. By the way, the protesters [03:32] were chanting [03:34] were chanting support for NYPD, [03:37] which is also, you know, [03:39] has to do with the fact that Zohran [03:40] Mamdani was someone who had supported [03:42] the defund the police movement. [03:44] Um [03:45] And police and Jewish security personnel [03:47] checked attendees at the entrance. [03:49] The only organized counter-protest, [03:51] unfortunately, was some anti-Zionist [03:53] Jews, the the extremist Neturei Karta [03:55] sect. I don't want to even talk about [03:57] them. [03:59] Here we go. Mamdani has drawn [04:01] condemnation from Jewish groups for his [04:02] refusal to recognize Israel's right to [04:04] exist as a Jewish state, for his hiring [04:07] of anti-Zionist staffers who will spouse [04:09] hardline rhetoric against Israel, and [04:12] for defending the protest slogan [04:13] "Globalize the Intifada", which later he [04:15] would [04:16] which he later said he would discourage, [04:18] among others. [04:20] Most recently, [04:21] and we'll get into this towards the end [04:22] of this video, [04:24] Mamdani posted a Nakba Day video [04:27] produced by City Hall [04:30] that presented a one-sided view of [04:32] Israel's War of Independence. [04:34] Jewish leaders condemned the video as [04:36] propaganda and refused to attend a [04:38] Shavuot event hosted by Mamdani in [04:41] response. [04:43] Now, Nakba is the is what the [04:46] pro-Palestinian the pro-Palestine crowd [04:49] calls the day of the founding of the [04:52] state of Israel. Nakba means uh [04:54] disaster. [04:55] And they talk and they use it as a day [04:57] to focus on the, you know, the plight of [04:59] the Palestinians and the and the [05:02] supposed expulsion of hundreds of [05:04] thousands uh or they claim over a [05:06] million Palestinians. [05:08] Okay. Last week, he backed legislation [05:10] that seeks to strip nonprofit status [05:12] from charities linked to West Bank [05:15] settlement activity. [05:17] Jewish groups have said similar bills [05:19] introduced in the past would effectively [05:20] outlaw a swath of Jewish charities, like [05:23] social service groups that operate [05:24] across the green line without boosting [05:27] settlements. Now, [05:29] this is also like, why is this the place [05:30] of the mayor of New York? [05:33] Let's remember that according to [05:36] the United States of America's official [05:37] policy, [05:38] settlements, what are called [05:40] settlements, the Jewish towns built in [05:41] Judea and Samaria, are not illegal. And [05:43] they're also they're just not illegal. [05:44] They're not illegal by any international [05:46] law. Everyone always talks about the [05:48] territories as occupied. They're not [05:50] occupied. They are disputed, that is [05:51] true, but it is totally legal to build [05:54] homes there. Jews are [05:56] are in their rights to build homes [05:57] there. Israel can build homes there just [05:59] as Arabs who live there in their areas [06:01] can also build homes. [06:02] It was never the sovereign territory of [06:04] any of any country. [06:07] Um, Tuesday's protest followed another [06:09] Jewish community demonstration earlier [06:11] in the month against New York Times [06:12] coverage of Israel seen as biased and [06:14] inaccurate and inflammatory. [06:17] Attendees at the protest repeatedly said [06:18] they feared the coverage would incite [06:20] violence against Jews. The two [06:21] demonstrations reflected a mainstream [06:23] Jewish community increasingly frustrated [06:26] by anti-Zionist activity that they view [06:27] as discriminatory and dangerous. We [06:29] should also point out that Mondani is [06:31] going to become the first mayor of New [06:33] York in like something like 60 years to [06:36] not attend the Israel Day Parade. [06:40] And this is a piece about Muslims [06:43] about the about the Muslims I I [06:45] mentioned that some Muslims attended the [06:46] rally. So, look at this, Mondani faces a [06:48] Muslim problem ahead of Gracie Mansion [06:50] protest. And this article focuses on [06:53] Aneela Ali. [06:54] Aneela Ali, president of the American [06:56] Muslim and multi-faith women's [06:58] empowerment council, said she plans to [07:00] join Tuesday night's protest because she [07:02] believes Mondani's policies are [07:04] alienating moderate Muslims and damaging [07:07] relations between Muslim and Jewish [07:08] communities in New York. Quote, "With [07:10] Mondani in office, we feel our religion [07:13] is now hijacked once again and is being [07:15] used by these Islamists." [07:18] Ali described herself as a as part of a [07:20] post-9/11 movement of moderate Muslims [07:22] who reject Islamist extreme Islamist [07:24] extremism and believe Islam is [07:26] compatible compatible with coexistence, [07:29] religious freedom, and life in America. [07:32] She said moderate Muslims don't identify [07:34] with Islamist groups such as the Council [07:36] on American Islamic Affair Relations [07:39] really care, which she accused of [07:41] monopolizing public representation of [07:43] Islam in America and promoting hardline [07:45] a hardline Islamist movement. [07:49] Zohran Mamdani is their success story, [07:51] the Muslim Brotherhood. They backed him, [07:53] Ali told Fox News Digital in a video [07:56] interview. [07:58] However, look at this, criticism of [07:59] Mamdani is not only coming from moderate [08:02] Muslim and interfaith activists, [08:03] hardline anti-Israel activists have also [08:06] criticized the mayor for not going far [08:08] enough in support of Palestinian [08:09] activism after taking office. Quote, [08:12] when he said that Israel has the right [08:14] to exist, I also clearly called that [08:16] out, anti-Israel activist Nerdeen [08:18] Kiswani [08:20] told Fox News Digital last week. She's [08:22] the She's the co-founder [08:24] of the pro-Palestinian group Within Our [08:26] Lifetime, which staged a Nakba rally in [08:28] New York on May 15th, where [08:30] demonstrators chanted Globalize the [08:32] Intifada. [08:34] Kiswani also criticized Mamdani for what [08:37] she described as walking back his [08:38] earlier defense of the phrase Globalize [08:40] the Intifada and softening his stance on [08:43] Palestine and Palestinian activists [08:45] after taking office. [08:47] I don't think he or any politician is [08:49] doing enough in support of Palestinian [08:51] liberation. [08:53] So, he's got he's he's getting it from [08:55] both sides, but you know, we we know [08:57] where he stands. [08:59] Now, what exactly is going on in New [09:01] York and how bad are things with the [09:02] Jewish community there? Take a look at [09:04] this. This clip is just absolutely [09:06] shocking. [09:08] Okay, and this is from uh [09:10] about a week ago, a little more than a [09:11] week ago. Check this out. [09:13] This is an all-girls school. [09:17] This is posted by Councilwoman Inna [09:18] Vernikov. [09:19] This is a video of [09:22] Well, I'll show you what it is. [09:24] Take a look. [09:30] >> This is the front of the Jewish school [09:33] high school. [09:35] Do you see happening here? [09:50] Because there's no mosque in the area to [09:51] do this in front of. You have to do it [09:53] in front of a Jewish school. [09:58] Nice, right? [10:01] >> You understand what this is? [10:02] This is a Jewish an Orthodox Jewish [10:04] girl's school [10:06] in Brooklyn, New York. [10:08] And these Muslims [10:11] decided to have a prayer service [10:16] This and the building there in front of [10:18] is the is the school building. [10:20] See, look at this. This is the school [10:21] building. [10:23] That's what this building is and they're [10:24] having a prayer service [10:26] right here. Now, obviously [10:29] as the woman speaking in the video says, [10:31] what they don't have enough mosques? [10:33] This is deliberate. This is just like [10:34] when you see those prayer events that [10:35] they do like in Times Square or whatever [10:37] or in streets in Europe. [10:39] Islam is about conquest. [10:42] And they want the Jews the Jews to be [10:45] scared. They want them to feel [10:46] uncomfortable. That's why they do these [10:48] things. [10:49] Now, it's not only about the Jewish [10:50] community. It's also about the fact that [10:52] Zohran Mamdani [10:54] is a socialist. So, this has been making [10:56] the rounds. This is from yesterday. [10:59] Check this out. [11:00] >> Through our new citywide campaign, Fix [11:02] the City, we will focus on the worst [11:04] landlords in New York City. [11:08] >> [applause] [11:09] >> When necessary, we will take aggressive [11:12] legal action to remove negligent owners [11:14] and property managers. [11:17] >> [cheering] [11:18] >> And for buildings that have suffered [11:20] chronic neglect, we will work to [11:22] transfer ownership to responsible [11:24] stewards. [11:26] >> [cheering] [11:29] [applause] [11:30] >> Stewards that include community land [11:32] trusts, NONPROFITS, [11:36] >> [cheering] [11:37] >> NONPROFITS, [11:40] or even the tenants themselves. [11:43] >> [cheering] [11:48] >> You see that? You understand what this [11:49] is? [11:50] This is like socialism [11:53] in the purest sense. [11:55] In [11:59] Sorry, this is socialism in the absolute [12:00] purest sense. [12:02] Seizing property, seizing people's [12:04] private property. This is what he's [12:06] advocating for and giving it to two [12:07] nonprofits or to the tenants themselves. [12:10] Basically taking it over. His His [12:12] administration wants to take over [12:13] private property. [12:16] Uh it's insane. [12:19] And And take a look at this one. This is [12:21] another one of his projects. [12:24] This is just from a couple days ago. [12:25] He's got this project to [12:28] He's announcing city-run grocery stores. [12:32] That [12:33] Look at this. [12:35] That cost $30 million to build and are [12:37] immune from property taxes and [12:39] utilities. [12:40] Real grocery store owners are panicking [12:43] because Mondani is going to destroy [12:45] them. So, there's this interview here [12:47] with a grocery store owner. [12:52] Here, check this out. [12:53] >> compete with a nationalized grocery [12:55] store because they don't have to pay [12:56] property taxes or utilities. And they [12:59] have access to his hard-earned tax [13:01] dollars. [13:03] >> No way. There's no way we can be open [13:06] if if if if I lose 30% I'm in trouble. I [13:10] won't be able to pay the rent. I won't [13:12] be able to pay the the workers. [13:14] And [13:16] I don't want to lose the whole thing. [13:17] Whatever it's cost me 45 years working [13:20] all my life to lose it because I you [13:22] know I'm going to be fighting against [13:24] someone who is spending all our money. [13:29] >> And the mayor is asking for a lot of [13:31] money. He is proposing $70 million for [13:34] five grocery stores. The one here in [13:35] Harlem, La Marqueta, has a price tag of [13:38] 30 million. Luna and a group of [13:40] minority-owned grocery store owners have [13:42] been trying to meet with the mayor, but [13:44] they've had no luck. That will change [13:47] next week during a hearing in front of [13:48] the city council. That is the group that [13:50] will decide if the mayor's proposal gets [13:52] the green light. Some business [13:54] representatives met with the speaker of [13:55] the city council yesterday, and they say [13:57] she was receptive to their concerns, [14:00] like Luna's concern that he's going to [14:02] lose 30 to 40%. [14:08] >> So, you see what he's doing here. He's [14:09] building city-run grocery stores that [14:13] get tax breaks, [14:15] that they don't pay property taxes, they [14:16] don't pay utilities, [14:18] and again, they're subsidized and run by [14:21] the city, and that means that they're [14:24] going to put regular grocery stores out [14:26] of business. That's what Mondaire is [14:28] doing here. [14:29] Now, [14:30] I've mentioned this Nakba thing a few [14:32] times, so he put out this video [14:35] He put out this video about [14:38] uh about Nakba, and here's here's him [14:40] defending the video. It was a video uh [14:43] where they interviewed a woman who was a [14:45] survivor of the Nakba who had ostensibly [14:48] been expelled by the Israelis [14:51] uh during Israel's War of Independence, [14:53] and here he is defending it. [14:55] >> Tonight, does the door need to remain [14:57] open in order for you to continue to [14:59] work [15:00] with the Jewish community to fight [15:01] anti-Semitism? And then, just on the [15:04] substance of one of your posts last [15:06] week, [15:06] >> Could I first answer the first question, [15:08] and we'll go to the second one? Thank [15:08] you very much. Um [15:10] my message to Jewish leaders across this [15:13] city is that my door is always open. [15:15] That I look forward to welcoming um a [15:18] number of those leaders to Gracie [15:20] Mansion this evening for Shavuot, And I [15:23] also know that that is a door that we [15:25] will keep open beyond just this [15:27] evening's event, beyond just [15:28] Jewish-American Heritage Month. And it [15:31] is part of a commitment to be the mayor [15:33] for every New Yorker. And that means a [15:36] mayor for those who voted for you, who [15:38] didn't vote for you, who didn't vote at [15:39] all. And that also means that there will [15:41] be times where you will meet New Yorkers [15:43] at an event, at a specific conversation, [15:45] out on the street. I look forward to all [15:47] of those interactions. Your second [15:48] question. [15:48] >> My second question is, you know, you [15:50] want to be the mayor for all New [15:51] Yorkers. You made this promise. [15:53] Yet, the city of New York seems to be [15:56] now taking more, you know, the city of [15:58] New York hosted this Nakba last week, [16:00] which was upsetting to some Jewish New [16:02] Yorkers who felt that perhaps there at [16:04] least should have been an [16:05] acknowledgement that Holocaust survivors [16:07] were also facing painful displacement. [16:11] So, you know, [16:13] what should what should Jewish New [16:14] Yorkers think about the fact that, you [16:16] know, using your official city accounts, [16:18] you're now making certain statements [16:20] about Israel, [16:23] you know, using your official city [16:24] accounts. We People understand your [16:26] views on Israel, but, you know, [16:28] they don't necessarily feel like you [16:29] speak out about these other sorts of [16:31] situations, other conflicts, other [16:34] issues. [16:36] >> So, I was proud to commemorate Nakba [16:38] Day, which is an annual day on May 15th [16:40] that commemorates the [16:43] expulsion of more than 700,000 [16:44] Palestinians from 1947 to 1945 during [16:48] the creation of the state of Israel and [16:50] for the year that followed. And it was a [16:52] privilege to be able to share the story [16:55] of Vinnie [16:56] and her story as not just a Nakba [16:57] survivor, but also as a New Yorker. And [17:01] I firmly believe that [17:05] acknowledging anyone's people pain does [17:07] not preclude you from the [17:08] acknowledgement of another people's. And [17:10] when it comes to New Yorkers like Vinnie [17:12] and so many others, [17:14] not only has their pain never been [17:15] acknowledged, but so often we have seen [17:18] that even their identity is up for [17:20] debate. And my message to each and every [17:23] New Yorker is that this is a city for [17:24] you, and that we will continue to [17:33] >> Okay. [17:35] So So, [17:37] you understand what happened here. He [17:38] posted a video [17:41] that [17:42] was again this woman telling her story [17:44] about being expelled during the founding [17:46] of the state of Israel. He just threw [17:47] out a number of over 700,000. [17:50] So, here's the truth [17:52] about the [17:54] about the uh [17:56] the whole issue of how many [17:59] Palestinians, how many Arabs were [18:01] expelled from their homes, and why they [18:04] were expelled from their homes, or why [18:05] they left their homes, okay? And this is [18:07] This is one of the the great lies about [18:09] the founding of the state of Israel. So, [18:11] first of all, on the number issue, the [18:13] UN mediators' own estimate at the time [18:17] was 360,000. The CIA's estimate from [18:20] August 1948 was 330,000. [18:24] It's [18:25] The numbers There's a lot of weeds we [18:26] can get into with the numbers, but the [18:28] numbers are nowhere near those numbers. [18:30] But, you might say, "Well, that's still [18:32] a a lot of people being expelled." [18:36] But, here's the real issue. Why did [18:37] these people leave? Why did Arabs leave? [18:41] When the UN partition plan was voted on, [18:43] and all of the land that the Israeli uh [18:45] that the Jews had before the UN [18:47] partition plan was purchased, it was [18:49] just land that they bought. Because, you [18:51] know, they they started buying it like [18:53] during the Ottoman Empire, they were [18:54] buying land, and then when the British [18:56] Mandate came in, they were just buying [18:58] land from whoever owned it before, [18:59] buying it from from local Arabs or or [19:02] whatever. [19:03] And all of the land that again, all of [19:05] the land that Jews had that then became [19:08] the land that was partitioned for the [19:09] Jewish state had been purchased. That's [19:12] what the Jewish National Fund was about. [19:15] The JNF, it still exists, but its [19:16] purpose has changed. Its purpose before [19:18] the state of Israel was to purchase land [19:20] to create the Jewish homeland. And then [19:22] you had of course lots of Arabs who [19:23] lived there, and they lived on their own [19:25] private property as well. There was no [19:28] sovereign nation [19:30] here. From the fall of the Ottoman [19:32] Empire until the UN partition plan, [19:35] there was no sovereign [19:37] in the land of Israel. There was just a [19:39] mandate from the League of Nations given [19:41] to the British to to govern the area [19:44] until the partition would happen. [19:46] Now, had the Arab nations not [19:50] declared war on the brand new state of [19:52] Israel once it was declared a state, had [19:55] they not initiated that war, [19:57] the total number of Arabs who would have [19:59] been displaced would have been zero [20:02] because there wouldn't have been a war [20:03] and no one was ever asking them to [20:05] leave. [20:06] But here's the historical record of why [20:07] they left. And when I say historical [20:09] record, I'm talking about documents from [20:11] the time, Arab sources, quotes from Arab [20:14] leaders themselves, and they tell a very [20:16] different story about this knock by this [20:18] massive expulsion. So, let's start with [20:21] Haifa. Haifa was one of the largest Arab [20:23] population centers at the time. [20:26] When the Jewish forces took the city in [20:28] April 1948, a British police report, not [20:31] an Israeli report, a British police [20:33] report written on April 26th, [20:36] documented that, quote, "Every effort is [20:39] being made by the Jews to persuade the [20:42] Arab populace to stay and carry on with [20:44] their normal lives." [20:46] David Ben-Gurion [20:48] actually sent Golda Meir personally to [20:51] Haifa at the time to convince the Arabs [20:54] to remain. She couldn't persuade them, [20:56] not because of Israeli threats, but [20:58] because Arab residents feared being seen [21:01] as traitors to the Arab cause if they [21:04] chose to live in [21:05] the new Jewish state. American Consul [21:08] General [21:09] in Haifa reported that local Arab [21:12] leaders, quote, were urging all Arabs to [21:16] leave the city. [21:18] This wasn't unique to Haifa. The Arab [21:20] Higher Committee, which was just like [21:22] that there was the Jewish [21:24] agency and the Jewish [21:26] organized community that then became the [21:29] government of the state of Israel. There [21:30] was also an Arab Higher Committee. So, [21:32] when the UN made a partition plan, they [21:33] were supposed to get the Arab state, but [21:36] they rejected it. But the Arab Higher [21:37] Committee, they were kind of in charge [21:39] of the Arab population or represented [21:42] them. They ordered women, children, and [21:44] the elderly in parts of Jerusalem [21:47] to evacuate, stating that resistance was [21:51] like resistance to evacuate, I'm quoting [21:53] the actual document, was an obstacle to [21:55] the holy war. You see what happened here [21:57] was that Arab leaders were telling their [21:59] own people to get out of the way [22:01] so that Arab armies could sweep in, [22:04] destroy the Jewish state, and then [22:05] everyone could go back home victorious [22:07] within a few weeks. That's That's what [22:08] they were telling their people. [22:10] Now, how do we know that? Because Arab [22:12] leaders have said it. [22:15] For example, Khalid al-Azm, he served as [22:18] Syria's prime minister [22:21] in 1948 and 1949. And in his memoir, he [22:25] wrote the following, quote, [22:27] "Since 1948, we have been demanding the [22:30] return of the refugees to their homes, [22:33] but we ourselves are the ones who [22:34] encouraged them to leave. [22:37] We ourselves are the ones who encouraged [22:40] them to leave." The Jordanian newspaper [22:43] Filastin wrote in February 1949, [22:47] quote, "The Arab states encouraged the [22:50] Palestinian Arabs to leave their homes [22:52] temporarily [22:54] in order to be out of the way of the [22:56] Arab invasion armies." End quote. [23:00] The Arab states encouraged them to [23:01] leave. One refugee quoted in another [23:03] Jordanian paper summarized it perfectly. [23:06] The Arab government told us, "Get out so [23:08] that we can get in." So, we got out, but [23:09] they did not get in. [23:12] Now, were there expulsions? Yes, there [23:14] were there were approximately 35,000 [23:16] Palestinians who were forced out, mostly [23:18] in the in the critical Ramla load area, [23:22] which had been used as a base for [23:23] attacking the road to Jerusalem. That's [23:25] less than 6% [23:27] of the total refugee population. And [23:30] even most of those people moved just a [23:32] few miles to areas under Arab Legion [23:34] control. [23:36] Historian Benny Morris, who's not even [23:39] an apologist for Israel, he's not even [23:40] pro-Israel. He's written critically [23:42] about the Israeli conduct. He noted [23:44] that, quote, "In general, the Haganah, [23:47] that's the Israeli that's the Jewish [23:48] underground before the before the state, [23:51] and the IDF commanders were not forced [23:53] to confront the moral dilemma posed by [23:55] expulsion. Most Arabs fled before and [23:59] during the battle before Israeli troops [24:01] ever came." [24:02] Again, because they were being told to [24:04] leave by Arab leaders. This is [24:05] well-documented history. And there's one [24:07] more thing that gets almost no [24:08] attention. [24:10] And I mentioned it at the beginning. [24:12] None of this had to happen. [24:14] Had the Arab states accepted the UN [24:15] partition plan, which gave the Arabs [24:17] their own state alongside Israel, which [24:19] is what they're claiming they want, [24:21] two-state solution, not a single [24:23] Palestinian would have become a refugee. [24:25] But instead, the Arab states launched a [24:27] war where they promised [24:30] would be as simple as a military [24:32] promenade was the exact quote from the [24:34] Arab League Secretary-General. They [24:36] thought they were just going to wipe out [24:37] this brand new little Jewish state. And [24:39] they lost. See, that's the story. The [24:42] story of Israel's wars is [24:46] our enemies attack us, we win, and then [24:51] they claim injustice and complain, [24:54] and and want, you know, and and want us [24:57] to make concessions [24:59] after losing war after war after war. [25:03] So, that's what happened here. They lost [25:05] and the Palestinian people paid the [25:06] price for their leaders' catastrophic [25:08] miscalculation. It's a sad fact of life. [25:11] But, if your leaders make dumb [25:12] decisions, make tragic decisions, [25:15] it could have bad consequences. So, [25:17] yeah, there were people displaced by [25:18] that war. There's people displaced by [25:19] every war. But, who's responsible for [25:22] that displacement? Was Zorn Mamdani [25:24] commemorating Nakba Day to call out Arab [25:27] leaders? [25:28] Is that what is his point? To call out [25:30] Arab leadership for causing the [25:33] displacement of Palestinian Arabs in [25:35] 1948? Is that what he was doing? [25:38] The refugee crisis of 1948 is a real [25:39] tragedy. But, it was caused by a war the [25:42] Arab world started and the Arab leaders [25:44] who told their own people to flee [25:46] promising they'd be back in 2 weeks. [25:50] That's the story of Nakba. [25:54] Mr. Zorn Mamdani. Anyway, [25:56] I digress. This is all a big tangent. [25:58] But, I thought it was an important [25:59] tangent to do because, you know, it's [26:00] all part of this narrative. Bottom line [26:03] is this. [26:04] Zorn Mamdani is destroying New York. [26:05] He's destroying it in all kinds of ways. [26:08] And he is facilitating, allowing, [26:12] turning a blind eye, whatever you want [26:14] to call it, [26:15] a particular targeting of the Jewish [26:17] community. [26:19] And this shouldn't surprise any of us. [26:22] When he was a student, when he his first [26:24] political activity was just pure, [26:27] you know, pro-Palestine, anti-Zionist [26:29] activity. That's how he became a [26:30] political activist. That was his number [26:32] one cause. It's not like a a sidebar to [26:35] who he is politically. It's central to [26:37] his political identity. [26:38] And he's a socialist. [26:40] Socialists and Muslims, [26:43] you know, have a shared worldview. I've [26:44] talked about that a lot in my channel. [26:46] I'm actually writing about that now. [26:48] Hopefully a a book project that should [26:50] be done [26:52] uh soon. Haven't talked about it much, [26:54] but I am working on this book. [26:56] But, it's nice to see that people are [26:57] starting to speak out and we're starting [26:59] to have these protests and rallies. [27:00] Hopefully, it'll grow. And uh I'll try [27:02] to I'll try to [27:04] raise awareness about these events as [27:06] they take place as I hear about them cuz [27:08] I am connected to some of the people who [27:09] organized [27:11] these protests. [27:12] Uh so, yeah, that's the state of affairs [27:14] in New York and [27:18] I don't know, folks. [27:20] I don't know, folks. You know, you look [27:21] around uh you look around the rest the [27:23] rest of the Western world and some of [27:25] the most important cities in the Western [27:27] world are being overrun [27:30] by this combination of socialism and [27:32] Islamism. [27:34] And uh [27:36] people better wake up. [27:37] God bless.
