The song opens with declarations that there is One on the throne—Jesus, the holy One who is worthy of praise, glory, and honor. This foundational section establishes the majesty and worthiness of God to receive worship and adoration.
Focusing on the Lamb who was slain yet seated on the throne, this section emphasizes that there is no one like the Lord and that the saints bow down in exclusive praise to Him alone. The refrain "Ein Kamocha Adonai" (There's no one like the Lord) becomes the central affirmation of God's incomparability.
This section shifts to declaring the eternal kingship of God with repeated affirmations that the Lord is King, the Lord reigns, and the Lord will reign forever. The proclamation of God's sovereignty and perpetual dominion forms the climactic middle portion of the song.
There’s no one like our God.
Amidst everything happening in Israel, this Hebrew version of “No One Like the Lord” is a reminder that worship doesn’t stop. Translated by - Emanuel Roro
Even in the brokenness—God is still worthy.
May this song be a prayer over the land and a light in the darkness.
🕊 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. (Psalm 34:18)
