Transcript [00:00] Piers Morgan recently had a panel on his [00:01] show debating two questions. [00:05] Why does Israel get a pass on nuclear [00:08] transparency? Everyone knows Israel has [00:10] a nuclear program, but they don't [00:11] officially say they have a program and [00:12] the United States doesn't officially [00:15] acknowledge that Israel has a nuclear [00:16] program. Like, why does Israel get a [00:19] pass on transparency when Iran doesn't? [00:22] And the other question that was dealt [00:24] with in this clip [00:25] is the question of is the IDF really the [00:29] most moral army in the world? I'm not [00:30] going to play you the whole [00:31] conversation. I'm just going to play you [00:32] a few short clips from it. The guests on [00:35] the panel [00:36] with Piers Morgan were Scott Horton, [00:39] Jonathan Sacerdoti, I think I said his [00:41] name right, and Colonel Bob Stewart. And [00:43] look, it's actually a decent [00:45] conversation, better than most, but [00:47] there are these two moments where the [00:49] panel either gets it wrong or just stops [00:52] short of the real answer and there's a [00:53] lack of accurate information and [00:55] context. So, I want to fill in those [00:57] gaps because the arguments that no one [01:00] is making on this panel are actually the [01:02] strongest ones and I want you to know [01:04] them. So, let's go ahead. Here is uh [01:08] let's go over to clip one. We'll make [01:10] this a little bit bigger. And clip one. [01:14] Here we go. [01:17] Why should Iran have to be completely [01:20] trans [01:23] transparent about its own nuclear [01:25] aspirations? [01:26] >> Because it is a regime which wishes to [01:28] kill us. [01:28] >> Okay, that's your opinion. It's their [01:30] opinion. They say it. [01:31] >> there are other countries Death to [01:32] America. Death to Israel. The great [01:34] Satan and the little Satan. But there [01:35] are other countries. If you go to Russia [01:38] or China or North Korea, vast swathes of [01:41] the world don't agree with you, right? [01:42] So, What do you mean they don't agree [01:44] that those are facts that Iran says [01:46] death to Israel and death to America? [01:48] >> No, I didn't say that. [01:48] >> has launched [01:49] >> they are supportive of the regime that [01:52] you detest, right? So, my my point being [01:54] Okay, but Hang on, Jonathan. Hang on. [01:56] Hang on. This is your opinion. Okay, [01:58] that's fine. That's [01:59] >> fine. I'm saying there [02:01] No, of course, of course. No, no, of [02:03] course. Well, my point being, a lot of [02:05] the world has a different opinion about [02:06] it, [02:07] right? So my So my question The point [02:09] The point of my question No, the point [02:11] of my question, why should we be [02:13] compelling Iran to be transparent about [02:16] what it has and what it doesn't? [02:18] But why is Israel not compelled to be a [02:21] transparent [02:22] power? [02:24] Why is Iran actually obligated? [02:28] Iran is obligated, and Israel is [02:30] obligated. [02:32] Would it not be a powerful thing for it [02:34] for Israel to say, "In full [02:36] transparency, we have 170 nukes." [02:42] Okay, let's unpack what we just saw [02:44] there. [02:47] So Jonathan is right on the legal point. [02:49] Iran signed the NPT, the [02:51] non-proliferation treaty, and Israel did [02:53] not. [02:55] Or the nuclear proliferation treaty, [02:56] whatever it's called. So Iran is bound [02:59] by it, and Israel isn't. That is [03:00] accurate, but no one on this panel is [03:02] asking the more important question. Why [03:04] did Israel make that choice, and is it a [03:06] rational one? And this issue of Israel's [03:09] lack of transparency on their nuclear [03:11] program, I've seen it come up in the [03:12] media a fair amount lately, especially [03:14] since this whole Iran thing has been [03:16] front and center. [03:18] And I want to give it some context that [03:20] I have not seen anyone else give it. [03:23] Like what Why does Israel get a pass? [03:27] So here's some Here's some background [03:28] numbers. [03:30] Between 2015 and 2024, [03:34] the United Nations General Assembly [03:37] passed 173 [03:39] resolutions condemning Israel. [03:42] Now, against every other country in the [03:44] world combined, combined, [03:47] 80. So less than half. [03:50] And the United Nations Human Rights [03:51] Council [03:53] has passed 112 [03:56] resolutions condemning Israel [03:59] during that time. [04:01] Iran, which signed the NPT and is openly [04:04] violating it, Iran [04:06] uh one of the worst abusers of human [04:08] rights in the world has received 16 [04:10] condemnations from the United Nations [04:12] Human Rights Council. Again, Israel [04:13] received 112, Iran 16, Russia [04:17] no uh that's no picnic for human rights, [04:19] 11. Syria, where hundreds of thousands [04:22] of people were slaughtered, 45. [04:25] Add them all up and they still don't [04:26] come close to Israel's number. [04:28] Okay, it's so uh it's so ridiculous. [04:32] Now, what does this have to do with not [04:33] signing the NPT? I'll get to that in a [04:34] moment. [04:36] It gets worse, though. Right now, Iran [04:38] sits as vice chair [04:41] of the United Nations Commission for [04:42] Social Development, the body whose [04:44] stated mission is promoting democracy [04:47] and women's rights. [04:50] Women's rights. This is days after or [04:53] weeks after uh [04:55] not long ago [04:56] they gunned down thousands of their own [04:58] citizens in the streets. [05:01] The International Criminal Court [05:04] famously issued arrest warrants for [05:06] Israeli leaders for war crimes, for [05:08] genocide [05:10] for defending their country from a [05:12] terrorist massacre before they issued [05:14] any warrants for Hamas commanders who [05:15] planned October 7th. [05:18] Now, what is all this have to do with [05:19] the NPT? [05:20] So, my point is [05:23] Israel knows very well that the the [05:25] international legal bodies, the UN, the [05:29] International Criminal Court, the United [05:31] Nations Human Rights Council, all of [05:32] these organizations are are just nakedly [05:36] anti-Israel. They are so biased against [05:38] Israel, it's absurd. I mean, look at [05:40] those numbers on the condemnations in [05:42] the Human Rights Council. [05:44] Think of the human rights abusers in the [05:46] world who get pass. [05:48] And Israel's constantly demonized by all [05:49] of these international bodies. There was [05:51] the whole starvation hoax. I wrote a [05:54] lengthy article for Gatestone Institute [05:56] about a year ago [05:58] um uncovering the whole hoax of [06:01] starvation in Gaza. It's really [06:03] completely a hoax. [06:05] So, Israel knows this very well, and it [06:07] was perpetrated by the UN, by the way. [06:09] And it's various [06:11] appendages. [06:13] So, Israel's not going to submit to the [06:15] non to the NPT, to the IAEA, which is [06:18] governed by these same international [06:20] forces. They're not going to do that. [06:22] They're not going to submit their [06:23] national security to international [06:25] apparatus [06:27] to an international apparatus that is so [06:29] blatantly anti-Israel. They're just not [06:31] going to do that. So, that's the [06:32] context. It's like, "Hey, if you want us [06:33] to sign your agreements, you have to [06:35] start playing fair." [06:37] And they don't play fair, so Israel's [06:38] like, "Okay, we're not doing that." It's [06:39] a It's a nation acting in its own [06:41] self-interest and its own defense [06:43] interest against what's obviously a [06:44] hostile [06:46] um [06:47] hostile apparatus. [06:49] Now, here's the part of this [06:50] conversation that bothers me the most [06:51] because it's the part where Piers and [06:53] Scott Horton treat Iran's nuclear [06:55] ambitions as though they're just another [06:56] geopolitical power play. You know, North [06:59] Korea wants nukes. [07:01] They have nukes. [07:02] Pakistan has nukes. They're Muslim. [07:05] Yeah, but North Korea wants nukes to [07:06] protect the the Kim Jong-un regime. [07:09] Pakistan wants nukes as a deterrent [07:11] against India or whatever. [07:13] Russia has nukes also as a deterrent and [07:16] kind of as a legacy from their [07:17] superpower competition, but they have [07:19] nukes. These are all not good actors, [07:21] but they're not about to use the nuclear [07:22] weapons. They have them for deterrence [07:24] and protection [07:25] and as leverage. [07:27] They are rational, if evil and dangerous [07:29] actors. [07:32] Iran is not that. The regime in in [07:34] Tehran is run by 12er Shiite Muslims. [07:38] And if you don't know what that means, [07:39] you cannot understand anything going on [07:42] right now, anything. [07:44] And they don't even bring it up. [07:46] Twelver Shiite Islam holds that the 12th [07:49] Imam, [07:50] Twelver, the 12th Imam, the Mahdi, is in [07:54] hiding and will return. He's the Messiah [07:56] figure and that he will return to redeem [07:58] the world and perfect the world, but he [08:00] will only return when the world is [08:02] brought to a state of apocalyptic chaos [08:05] and destruction. [08:06] That's not my interpretation. That is [08:08] their theology. That's their [08:09] eschatology. [08:11] The way you summon the Mahdi is by [08:13] maximizing chaos and destruction. [08:16] This is why Iran funds proxies in every [08:19] direction simultaneously and and they [08:21] don't stop [08:22] building their ballistic missile program [08:24] and everything else even though it costs [08:26] them economically and politically and [08:28] their society's collapsing. [08:30] This is why [08:31] their people are are are suffering under [08:34] sanctions and they still won't slow down [08:36] their nuclear and ballistic missile [08:37] program. Even after the 12-day war, they [08:40] just poured every cent that they could [08:41] get back into the weapons. [08:44] This is not [08:47] They're not irrational. [08:49] It's rational within their sick [08:52] ideological framework. [08:55] And that sick ideological framework [08:56] calls for an apocalypse to bring the [08:59] Mahdi. [09:00] This is what makes an Iranian nuclear [09:02] weapon categorically different from a [09:04] North Korean or Pakistani nuclear [09:06] weapon, right? Kim Jong-un wants to [09:08] survive. The mullahs in Tehran want to [09:10] bring the end of the world. [09:12] You cannot deter someone with a threat [09:14] of destruction when destruction is their [09:17] goal. [09:19] Theologically, [09:21] nuclear deterrence, the entire logic [09:22] that has kept the world safe since 1945, [09:25] nuclear deterrence assumes that the [09:27] other side wants to live and that [09:29] assumption doesn't hold when you're [09:31] dealing with Twelver Shiite Muslims. [09:33] Piers never raises this, neither does [09:34] anyone else on the panel and without it, [09:36] the whole why can't Iran have what [09:38] Israel has argument, which sounds [09:40] reasonable, isn't. [09:42] But you have to [09:44] Every time you have a conversation about [09:46] this Iran nuclear weapon, you have to [09:48] bring up the point about the 12er [09:49] Shiites, the Mahdi apocalypse. [09:52] And when Trump says and Rubio says, "If [09:54] they had a nuclear weapon, they would [09:56] use it." It's because they understand [09:58] the ideology of this regime. [10:00] So, when you put it all together [10:02] from this clip for this first clip we [10:04] saw, institutions that have demonstrated [10:06] systematic and consistent bias against [10:09] Israel in black and white voting records [10:11] combined with a specific threat that is [10:14] theologically committed to apocalyptic [10:16] destruction, and Israel's decision to [10:19] keep its nuclear deterrent outside of [10:21] international scrutiny is not hypocrisy. [10:26] It's the only logical conclusion a [10:28] serious country could reach. You don't [10:30] hand your survival to referees who've [10:33] already told you that they're on the [10:34] other side. [10:37] And you certainly don't apply Cold War [10:39] deterrence logic to a 12er Shiite regime [10:42] that views nuclear annihilation as the [10:44] goal. [10:47] All right. Let's go to the second clip. [10:49] We'll comment on that and that will be [10:51] it. [10:53] Here is clip number two. [10:56] Um Is it morally defensible to target [11:00] uh civilian areas where you know or you [11:03] believe or you suspect terrorists are [11:07] are living and operating? Is that [11:08] morally defensible? [11:09] >> because the Geneva Conventions say to [11:12] soldiers like myself, you should not [11:15] unleash weapons if there is a chance [11:17] that civilians will be [11:19] >> why does the IDF just ride roughshod [11:21] over that? Well, my understanding of of [11:23] how the IDF from from the people I speak [11:25] to there, how how it's operated, for [11:27] example, in Lebanon. For an awfully long [11:28] time, they didn't go into Lebanon on a [11:31] ground of operation or or do the damage [11:33] they've just done now. But after [11:35] Hezbollah joined in on October the 7th [11:38] or 8th, whenever it was, and and Israel [11:40] evacuated like huge swaths of the north [11:43] of Israel to create the buffer so that [11:45] its population would be protected. [11:46] Indeed, that population's been under [11:48] threat for some time with the UNIFIL [11:51] forces, the UN peacekeeping forces, not [11:53] keeping peace in the south of Lebanon [11:55] below the Litani River. So, though [11:57] Israel did tolerate that for an [11:58] extraordinary amount of time while its [12:00] people were under fire for many years, [12:01] which is very underreported in the west, [12:04] they did then eventually, after October [12:06] the 7th, I believe, make a different [12:08] calculation, which is to say, with [12:10] warnings to evacuate civilians and [12:12] attempt to do those sorts of things, [12:13] which you're right, don't always work [12:15] and you end up often with civilian death [12:17] counts, which will, you know, be hideous [12:19] for people to see. But I think they made [12:20] the evaluation that's tiny country, same [12:23] same with the Gaza Strip, which they now [12:24] hold 50% of in this weird [12:26] Okay, that's enough of that. [12:28] Um [12:32] >> [sighs] [12:32] >> I want to put the text of the Geneva [12:34] Convention on the screen right now [12:36] because I think that the entire panel [12:39] here [12:40] uh just um [12:42] missed this one. [12:44] You know, before we go on, let me uh [12:46] remind you about a very important event [12:47] that's taking place on Wednesday. Israel [12:49] 365 Action is hosting a webinar, Will [12:53] America First Stand With Israel, um [12:56] hosted by yours truly. It will be on at [12:58] Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Eastern, 8:00 [13:00] p.m. in Israel. And if you can't make [13:03] it, sign up anyway because by signing up [13:05] you will then get the [13:07] the full program emailed to you after [13:09] the fact, so you'll be able to watch it, [13:11] you won't miss a thing. Uh you just [13:13] won't catch it live. And uh we may even [13:15] be taking some questions from the crowd [13:17] live. So, you might you definitely want [13:19] to participate live if you can, but it's [13:21] 1:00 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, Will [13:23] America First Stand With Israel, [13:24] moderated by myself, and our three [13:27] fantastic panelists are Josh Hammer, [13:30] senior editor at large at Newsweek and [13:32] host of the Josh Hammer Show on Salem [13:34] Network, and Dr. David Wurmser, senior [13:37] analyst for Middle East Affairs at the [13:39] Center for Security Policy in [13:40] Washington, D.C. Dr. Wurmser also [13:43] served in multiple [13:45] US administrations as a senior advisor [13:48] for the Middle East in the White House, [13:50] and also served on the National Security [13:52] Council. [13:54] He's one of the top Middle East experts [13:55] in the world and experts on the [13:57] US-Israel relationship, and Pastor Rob [13:59] McCoy. [14:01] Pastor Rob McCoy is the founder of [14:02] Turning Point USA Faith, and he was [14:05] Charlie Kirk's pastor. They used to [14:06] travel together a lot, very close. He [14:08] was Charlie's really spiritual mentor [14:11] and dear friend of mine, and he knows [14:14] the America First movement intimately, [14:15] as you could imagine. So, the three of [14:17] them are going to join me for this [14:18] fantastic and important conversation. [14:20] Will America First stand with Israel? [14:22] You can sign up for the webinar by [14:25] clicking on the link in the description [14:26] of this video, or [14:29] by clicking on this QR code here. Click [14:32] on the QR code, that'll register you for [14:33] the webinar, so you can pause the video [14:35] right now, click on the QR code, deal [14:37] with that, or again, like I said, [14:39] there's a link in the description of [14:41] this video [14:42] as well. [14:44] Okay, so um [14:46] like I said, I want to put up the [14:49] um the the text of the Geneva Convention [14:53] that they cite here, because this is [14:55] really [14:57] there's like disinformation in this [14:58] video, because even like that that uh [15:03] um [15:05] that military man [15:06] uh in the video was not he was just not [15:09] citing it accurately. [15:10] So, here we go. [15:12] This is Article 19 of the Geneva [15:14] Convention. That's what you're looking [15:15] at on the screen. [15:18] Okay, and the entire panel is misreading [15:19] this, and the misreading of the Geneva [15:21] Convention, and I've seen it throughout [15:23] the war since October 7th. There's just [15:25] like people talk and someone says, [15:26] "Well, the Geneva Convention says." And [15:28] everyone, cuz they haven't read it [15:29] either, just sort of nods along. And [15:31] Jonathan didn't even push back because [15:33] maybe he hasn't read it. I don't know. [15:36] But the misreading of the Geneva [15:37] Convention has cost Israel enormously. [15:39] So, let's read Article 19 of the Fourth [15:42] Geneva Convention. It says, [15:44] "The protection to which civilian [15:46] hospitals are entitled This section's [15:48] about hospitals. But this is really [15:50] about civilian locations. We'll get into [15:52] that more in a bit. The protection to [15:54] which civilian hospitals are entitled [15:56] shall not cease [15:59] meaning they should always be protected [16:00] unless [16:02] they are used to commit outside their [16:05] humanitarian duties acts harmful to the [16:07] enemy." Read that carefully. The [16:09] protection of a civilian site ceases the [16:11] moment it's used for military purposes. [16:13] That's not Israel's interpretation. That [16:15] is the text of the document that [16:17] everyone is citing against Israel. [16:19] But it goes further than Article 19 [16:21] because the same Geneva Convention in [16:24] additional protocol [16:26] one [16:28] Article 51 [16:31] on the protection of civilian population [16:35] Look what we see here. [16:36] It states, and this is in in uh [16:40] in uh in [16:42] point seven in this. Take a look. This [16:44] is all about protection of civilian [16:46] populations in war and we go down to to [16:48] seven. The presence or movements of the [16:51] civilian population or individual [16:52] civilians shall not be used to render [16:55] certain points or areas immune from [16:58] military operations. [17:00] In particular in attempts [17:02] to shield military objectives from [17:05] attacks or to shield, favor, or impede [17:08] military operations. [17:10] The parties of the conflict shall not [17:12] direct the movement of the civilian [17:14] population or individual civilians in [17:16] order to attempt to shield military [17:18] objectives from attacks or to shield [17:21] military operations. [17:22] This is talking about the human shield [17:25] strategy. [17:27] Okay, you're you're not allowed to do [17:29] that, which means that when Hamas moves [17:31] civilians [17:32] into harm's way, when they put military [17:35] installations in civilian buildings, in [17:38] civilian areas, and when they move [17:40] civilians into those areas in order to [17:42] prevent an attack, they are the ones [17:45] responsible for the civilian casualties [17:47] that result. [17:49] Now, Article 58 [17:52] goes even further. [17:54] It says as follows, "The parties to the [17:56] conflict shall, to the maximum extent [17:57] feasible, without prejudice to Article [18:00] 49 of the Fourth Convention, endeavor to [18:02] remove the civilian population, [18:03] individual civilians, and civilian [18:05] objects under their control from the [18:07] vicinity of military objectives." [18:10] Instead of moving them into the into [18:12] harm's way, you're supposed to actually [18:13] move them out of harm's way. [18:15] "Avoid locating military objectives [18:17] within or near densely populated areas." [18:19] Hamas specifically locates them in [18:21] densely populated areas, "and take the [18:23] other necessary precautions to protect [18:25] the civilian population, individual [18:27] civilians, and civilian objects under [18:29] their control against the dangers [18:31] resulting from military operations." [18:33] It's not just about Gaza, by the way, [18:34] it's also about uh [18:36] about Lebanon. [18:39] Okay, Hamas is obligated Well, I mean, I [18:42] don't know if they're party to the [18:43] Geneva Conventions, [18:44] but when we're talking about war crimes [18:45] here, [18:48] let's be clear what this means in plain [18:50] language. Under the Geneva Convention, [18:52] Hamas is legally required to keep its [18:54] weapons away from hospitals, away. [18:58] It's legally required to keep its [18:59] command center away from schools. It's [19:02] legally required to move civilians away [19:04] from military targets, not toward them. [19:07] Every tunnel dug under a residential [19:09] building, every rocket launcher placed [19:10] on a rooftop, every command center built [19:12] inside a mosque, each one of those is [19:15] not just a military tactic, it's a war [19:17] crime. [19:18] A specific, texturally prohibited, named [19:22] war crime under the very document being [19:24] cited again in this conversation against [19:26] Israel. [19:29] Now, I want to be I want to be precise [19:30] here because the law is precise and I [19:32] don't want to oversimplify it. Article [19:33] 51 also states that Hamas's violations [19:36] don't entirely eliminate Israel's [19:38] obligation to take precautions. [19:41] Both parties carry legal obligations [19:42] simultaneously, but what that means is [19:44] that responsibility is shared. [19:47] And Hamas's share, as the party that [19:49] deliberately embeds its entire military [19:52] infrastructure inside civilian sites, is [19:55] primary responsibility, it's direct [19:57] responsibility. They're the pri- they're [19:59] primarily responsible for the [20:01] casualties. [20:02] Yet in every conversation in Western [20:04] media, including this one on Piers's [20:05] show, 100% of the moral weight lands on [20:09] Israel and 0% on Hamas. [20:12] And that's not what the law says. That's [20:14] not what the text says. [20:17] So, it's an inversion, it's a reversal [20:19] of where the primary legal and moral [20:21] moral responsibility lies. It's a form [20:23] of corruption. [20:25] It rewards the side that is responsible, [20:28] that uses children as shields, and [20:30] punishes the side that drops leaflets [20:32] warning them to leave. [20:35] You see what's happening here. [20:37] Yes, every civilian casualty is a [20:39] tragedy, and it might even be a war [20:41] crime, but you know whose war crime it [20:43] is? It's Hamas's war crime. [20:45] And that's the letter of the of the [20:47] Geneva Convention. Everyone cites the [20:48] Geneva Convention against Israel, they [20:50] haven't read it. [20:52] The colonel here is trying to be fair, [20:54] and I respect that. But when he says [20:55] that Israel uses Hamas's human shielding [20:58] as an umbrella excuse, [21:00] he's he's he's getting it backwards. [21:03] It's not an excuse Israel invented, it's [21:04] the the framework the Geneva Convention [21:07] established for exactly this type of [21:09] situation. [21:11] Hamas has built its entire military [21:13] doctrine around forcing Israel into an [21:16] impossible choice. [21:18] Don't strike and allow the attacks to [21:20] continue, or strike and absorb all the [21:23] international blame for casualties that [21:25] Hamas deliberately engineered. [21:28] And Hamas has said this openly. Their [21:29] officials have stated proudly that their [21:31] strategy is to cause maximum civilian [21:33] death so that Israel gets the blame. [21:35] That's not an Israeli talking point. [21:36] That's Hamas in their own words. [21:41] I mean [21:42] let's talk about the casualty numbers. [21:43] I've talked about them before, but you [21:45] know, this panel and most of most of [21:47] Western media is kind of accepting that [21:49] there's been this this this very large [21:51] amount of civilian casualties. [21:53] They're accepting it uncritically. And [21:55] of course all the figures anyone ever [21:56] cites come from the Gaza Health [21:58] Ministry, which is Hamas. That's it. [22:00] That's the source. The same organization [22:02] that's party to the conflict that has [22:04] every incentive to maximize the reported [22:06] death toll and have [clears throat] in [22:07] every previous conflict with Israel. [22:12] And here's what those numbers claim. [22:14] According to Hamas's own health ministry [22:16] finger figures, virtually every single [22:18] person killed in Gaza was a civilian. [22:21] There's not one combatant identified on [22:23] their list. And I mean again, it's the [22:25] Gaza Health Ministry. They are [22:26] ostensibly recording every single death [22:28] in Gaza. They have reported zero [22:31] combatant deaths. [22:33] Think about what that means. [22:34] Gaza is apparently the first war in [22:36] human history where one side suffered [22:38] zero military deaths, and they're all [22:40] civilian deaths. [22:44] And then there's the issue of natural [22:46] deaths cuz the Gaza Health Ministry is [22:47] supposed to be also be reporting all [22:49] natural deaths, and since October 7th, [22:51] apparently no one has died of natural [22:53] causes in the Gaza Strip. [22:56] Every single person who's died in the [22:57] Gaza Strip is listed as as as killed by [23:00] the Israelis. [23:01] Gaza has become the first society on [23:03] Earth to have abolished natural death. [23:07] Right? The only way to die in Gaza is [23:08] from an Israeli strike, apparently. [23:11] It's not a credible data set. It's [23:13] propaganda. [23:15] And and what we do know from independent [23:17] military analysis by the likes of John [23:20] Spencer, Colonel John Spencer, the [23:21] chairman of urban warfare studies at [23:23] West Point. He's the world's leading [23:25] academic expert on this specific type of [23:28] warfare. [23:30] And he's written and stated repeatedly [23:31] that Israel's done more than any other [23:33] military in history to minimize civilian [23:36] casualties. [23:37] More warning leaflets, more phone calls [23:39] to civilians before strikes, more more [23:41] targeted operations, more roof knocking, [23:43] that's the practice of dropping a small [23:45] non-lethal munition before the actual [23:48] strike to warn people to evacuate. They [23:50] do that. [23:51] No army's ever done this at scale. The [23:53] US didn't do it in Fallujah. The British [23:55] didn't do it in Mosul. But Israel did it [23:58] throughout the Gaza operations. [24:01] And consider this, in an area of over 2 [24:03] million people riddled with over 500 km [24:06] of tunnels [24:08] where every residential building, [24:10] virtually every one, was found to [24:11] contain weapons when soldiers entered. [24:14] Israeli soldiers have said this [24:15] repeatedly from their own direct [24:16] experience. [24:18] The idea that Israel was targeting [24:20] civilians is just wrong. Again, the [24:22] Geneva [24:23] All the civilian buildings were all [24:25] turned into military targets. That's the [24:27] Geneva Convention. We just read it. [24:30] This is an inversion of reality, [24:32] completely. You don't drop leaflets and [24:33] make phone calls if you're trying to [24:35] kill civilians. You do it because you're [24:37] trying to not kill civilians. [24:42] The moral failure, if there's any moral [24:44] failure, it's not Israel's in its [24:46] conduct of the war. [24:48] It's the media and the international [24:50] community that takes Hamas's casualty [24:52] figures at face value, that ignores the [24:54] Geneva Convention's actual text on [24:56] militarized civilian sites. [24:59] And then it turns the camera on the [25:00] country that was trying to give people [25:01] time to evacuate [25:03] and is adhering to the international law [25:06] better than anybody. [25:08] These are just two [25:10] brief clips of many in this [25:12] conversation. It was [25:14] It was a lot of moments that were worthy [25:15] of reacting to. [25:17] But this is just two of them where a [25:18] lack of context and accuracy [25:21] just feeds the false narratives about [25:23] Israel and I wanted you to be armed with [25:24] the answers. [25:26] When people bring up this stuff about [25:28] civilian casualties, when people bring [25:29] up this stuff about Israel's nuclear [25:31] program, now you have the answers. [25:33] The non-proliferation treaty argument, [25:35] the nuclear argument, it sounds [25:36] airtight. Why does Israel get a pass? [25:39] Until you look at who enforces the NPT. [25:42] And the numbers show you [25:44] exactly who that system works for and [25:46] who it works against. And Israel's not [25:48] going to submit to it, and nor should [25:50] they. [25:51] And the Geneva Convention argument gets [25:52] used constantly against Israel by people [25:55] who clearly have not read it. And the [25:57] moment you actually read it, the entire [25:59] moral framing flips. [26:03] These aren't obscure arguments. This is [26:05] not obscure data or documents. It's all [26:09] public. The legal text is public. The [26:11] data [26:12] out of Gaza is public. [26:15] The job is just to put it together [26:16] clearly, which is what I'm trying to do [26:17] on this channel. [26:19] Anyway, if you found this useful, please [26:20] share it with someone who needs to hear [26:22] it. [26:23] Uh I'll see you in the next one and [26:25] please sign up for that uh for that [26:27] webinar. Here's the QR code again.
