Transcript [00:02] Wow. [00:03] Well, let me let me start off by saying [00:06] it is an absolute honor being in a room [00:08] with the people that Tucker Carlson [00:10] hates the most. This is awesome. [00:13] Take that as a badge of honor. [00:15] Okay? [00:17] If you ever question, if you ever doubt [00:19] whether you are on the right path, as [00:21] FDR said in 1932, judge me by my [00:23] enemies. And if I were to judge you by [00:25] your enemies, you guys are so [00:27] vindicated. You are so on the just and [00:29] godly path. So, thank God for each and [00:31] every one of you. Look, [00:34] I [00:35] I I first met Charlie Kirk when I was [00:37] backstage at the Republican Convention. [00:39] I was telling Charlie how nervous I was [00:41] to give my speech. And Charlie bends [00:43] down, and the dude's like 9 ft tall, so [00:45] he has to really bend down. And he puts [00:47] his hands on my shoulders, and he says, [00:49] "Shabbos, I want to tell you something. [00:51] So long as you're telling the truth, [00:54] you have nothing to be afraid of. So [00:56] long as you're telling the truth, you [00:57] have nothing to be afraid of. And we are [00:59] living in a society and in a country [01:02] where, unfortunately, truth [01:05] is a rare commodity these days. So, if [01:07] you'll allow me, in the few minutes we [01:08] have together, I would like to say not [01:11] my truth, but the truth. Truth number [01:14] one. [01:16] Truth number one. [01:18] It is true that there have been speeches [01:20] comparing many of you to Esther, and [01:23] that is an accurate comparison. I want [01:25] to add one other comparison. If you open [01:27] the Book of Ruth, [01:29] Naomi tells her two daughter-in-laws, [01:31] Ruth and Orpah, to go back home. There [01:34] is nothing I can provide for you. There [01:36] is famine. [01:39] Go back. [01:40] And Ruth looks at her mother-in-law. [01:44] And she says, "Where you go, I go. Your [01:47] God is my God. Your people are my [01:50] people." And each and every one of you [01:52] in this room, yes, it's true, you have [01:54] modeled Queen Esther, but each and every [01:56] one of you are living breathing Ruth's [01:58] who have said that even though American [02:00] Jews may be taking down their mezuzahs [02:02] on college campuses, we are going to put [02:04] them up. And even while American Jews [02:06] tuck in their Star of David necklace, we [02:08] will untuck them. Each and every one of [02:11] you have shown the American Jewish [02:12] community that your God is my God and [02:14] your people are my people and where you [02:16] go, I go. And so, I'm going to say [02:19] something I'm going to say something [02:21] that perhaps I I shouldn't and I might [02:23] get into some trouble, but I want to [02:24] speak directly to the American Jewish [02:26] community. We have no better friends [02:29] than American Christians. We have no [02:31] better organizations like CUFI. We have [02:33] no better leaders like Pastor John Hagee [02:36] and Sandy. And come to CUFI and meet the [02:39] Christians and don't talk ill of my [02:42] friends in this room. [02:44] And that's truth number one. [02:46] Let's talk about truth number two for a [02:48] second. [02:49] Two weeks ago, I was in Israel and it is [02:51] very difficult for those of you who've [02:53] been to Israel to not see the living [02:55] breathing word of God come to life. It [02:58] was very difficult to escape the obvious [03:00] of Ezekiel 36:24 discussing the [03:03] in-gathering of the exiles from all four [03:05] corners of the world. It is difficult to [03:07] escape the words of Zephaniah 3:9 [03:10] discussing the revival of the Hebrew [03:12] language. It's difficult to escape the [03:14] reality of Isaiah 27:6 that the deserts [03:17] will once again bloom. It is difficult [03:19] to escape the obvious reality of [03:21] Zechariah 8:7 that Jerusalem will be [03:24] under Jewish control. It is difficult to [03:26] escape the reality of Ezekiel 36:10 [03:28] coming to life, the rebuilding of cities [03:31] and villages that had been destroyed in [03:32] Jerusalem. And that is because, and I [03:34] want you all to pay very close attention [03:36] to this, my God, your God, our God does [03:39] not forsake covenants. He fulfills [03:42] covenants and he does not break [03:45] promises. He keeps promises. And if you [03:48] need proof of that, why Why you book a [03:50] one-way ticket to Israel, Nick Fuentes, [03:53] and Candace Owens, and Tucker Carlson, [03:55] and see the living, breathing word of [03:57] God coming into fruition each and every [04:00] single day in the land of Israel. I [04:02] challenge all of those individuals to go [04:04] to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, to [04:06] go to the Basilica of the Annunciation, [04:08] go to the Sea of Galilee, go to the [04:10] Garden of Gethsemane, go to the Via [04:11] Dolorosa, go to the Temple Mount, and [04:13] come in contact with that living, [04:15] breathing God. [04:18] >> [applause] [04:19] >> And [04:22] And all of you, all of you Christians [04:24] have made it clear to me [04:27] that you have my back, you have the [04:29] Jewish people's back, and I want to make [04:31] it clear to you tonight that we Jews [04:33] have your back. And any individual [04:36] >> [applause and cheering] [04:39] >> any individual, whether they call [04:40] themselves Republican or Democrat, [04:43] liberal or conservative, if they believe [04:45] that the path to the White House in 2028 [04:49] is paved with people who say that [04:51] Christian Zionists have brain viruses, [04:53] who say that they're worse than the [04:54] Taliban or Al-Qaeda, if you think that [04:57] that's your path to the White House, [04:59] then good luck, because we will fight [05:01] you each and every step of the way. [05:05] >> [applause] [05:05] >> And [05:05] >> [cheering] [05:09] >> And while [05:11] >> [applause] [05:14] >> And and while we're while we're at it, [05:17] there's one particular individual by the [05:19] name of Candace Owens, who I know [05:21] English is not a language she is [05:22] particularly proficient in, so I'll try [05:24] to slow it down for her. [05:27] There's one piece of the Bible I would [05:28] encourage her to read, Exodus 22, and [05:31] I'll slow it down, four simple words, [05:33] "Don't mistreat the widow." [05:39] >> [applause] [05:40] >> So, look. [05:44] I want to I want to close by channeling [05:46] an unlikely friend. [05:49] So, bear with me. [05:50] And that is Gerald Ford, 1975. [05:54] If you were to look [05:56] at the perspectives and the experiences [05:59] of Gen Z America today in the 21st [06:02] century, [06:03] I have bad news. [06:05] The state of our union is not good. [06:08] In fact, it's really not good. [06:11] According to a Gallup survey, less than [06:13] half of Americans 18 to 34 view [06:16] themselves as patriotic or proud to be [06:17] an American. [06:19] Each generation is consistently less [06:22] patriotic than the prior generation, and [06:24] Gen Z is definitely much lower than [06:26] anybody else. [06:27] We have also found [06:29] there has been a 500% increase in the [06:32] amount of 18 to 34-year-olds who believe [06:34] it is acceptable to use violence to shut [06:37] down speech you do not like. It is no [06:40] coincidence that the killer of the [06:42] United Healthcare CEO, Brian Thompson, [06:45] Luigi Mangione, was 27. The killer of [06:47] Charlie Kirk, Tyler Robinson, was 23. [06:50] The attempted killer of Donald Trump, [06:52] Thomas Cooks, was 20. [06:54] And in fact, while astonishing levels of [06:56] political violence in this country is [06:58] increasing, Gen Z, my generation, is [07:01] worryingly turning inwards as well. [07:04] Surveys from groups like the American [07:05] Psychological Association have shown [07:08] that 30% of Gen Z have zero friends. Not [07:12] three, not two, not one, zero. 30% of [07:17] young people in our country have zero [07:20] friends. [07:21] That perhaps might explain why Gen Z is [07:23] delaying marriage longer than any other [07:25] generation. For the first time in [07:27] American history, [07:29] the median age for a first marriage is [07:31] over the age of 30 for both men and [07:33] women. This also explains that while we [07:35] certainly had a post-Charlie Kirk bump, [07:39] only 17% of young people go to church on [07:42] a weekly basis. These are bad numbers. [07:45] It is bad for our country when young [07:47] Christians stop going to church. So, how [07:50] do we move forward and what do we do [07:51] about this? [07:53] Before we discuss America 250, I think [07:55] it's important we discuss America 50. [07:58] July 4th, 1826, President John Adams and [08:01] President Thomas Jefferson were bitter [08:03] political rivals. They disagreed on the [08:06] nature of government, they disagreed on [08:07] theology, they disagreed on the nature [08:09] of the human being. [08:11] On July 4th, 1826, and perhaps one of [08:14] the most cruel fates of history, John [08:16] Adams lay on his deathbed. [08:18] His last words [08:20] were Jefferson lives. [08:22] What Adams did not know [08:24] is Jefferson had actually died 4 hours [08:26] earlier. [08:28] July 4th, 1826, [08:31] Adams and Jefferson modeled to us that [08:33] unity does not mean uniformity. Unity [08:36] means we may pray differently, we may [08:38] look differently, we may speak or sound [08:41] differently, but we all bleed the same [08:43] red. [08:44] We all, even though pray differently, [08:48] we are all children of the same God. And [08:50] that brings us to America 250. [08:54] As Bill Clinton said, what is wrong with [08:56] America can always be fixed with what is [08:58] right with America. Although the [09:00] problems of Gen Z are real, [09:02] it is also real that it is young [09:05] Christians who built this country, and [09:07] it is young Christians who will save [09:09] this country. Thomas Jefferson was 33, [09:11] Alexander Hamilton 21, James Madison 25, [09:15] James Monroe 18. [09:17] So, if the CUFI students, whether you're [09:20] on a high school campus or a college [09:22] campus, if you wouldn't mind listen [09:23] closely. [09:24] When I first spoke at CUFI 3 years ago, [09:26] I told you guys, the high school and the [09:28] college tracks, I said how grateful I [09:30] was to your advocacy because I as a Jew [09:33] don't have a choice because I'm [09:35] commanded by my Bible and my God to [09:38] defend and support the land of Israel. [09:40] And you know what you told me? You [09:41] looked me in the eye and said, "Shabbat, [09:43] we are commanded by the same God to do [09:45] the exact same thing." [09:49] You [cheering] [09:54] >> [applause] [09:55] >> You have been physically assaulted on [09:58] campus for your faith. You have lost [10:00] friends. You have been spat at. You have [10:01] been called every single name in the [10:03] book. Yet, nevertheless, just like the [10:05] prophet Isaiah, you said, "Here I am, [10:08] Lord, send me." Because you recognize [10:10] that when God wanted to make David king, [10:13] he did not send him a crown, he sent him [10:15] Goliath. You recognize that when God [10:17] wanted Moses to lead the Israelites, he [10:19] did not send him a stage, but he sent [10:21] him a stubborn people. When God wanted [10:23] Joseph to rule Egypt, give him royalty, [10:26] he gave him slavery. When God wanted [10:28] Esther to be queen, he did not give her [10:29] a palace, he gave her a people calling [10:32] for genocide. [10:34] And you do this. You show up each and [10:36] every day to your campuses [10:38] because you know that God is not [10:39] breaking you, God is building you so [10:42] that you can fulfill the verse in [10:43] Matthew 25:23, "Well done, my good and [10:46] faithful servant." For indeed, you have [10:48] been faithful. And And it is true, you [10:52] are not tomorrow's leaders, you are [10:54] today's leaders of America. And every [10:57] single prayer that you have said in your [10:59] classroom, in your campus, every single [11:01] Bible verse that you studied, every [11:03] single door that you knocked on Capitol [11:05] Hill, that is a bullet in the heart of [11:07] our enemies. And don't you ever ever [11:09] don't you dare ever tell yourself that I [11:12] am not good enough, that I can't do it, [11:14] that I'm not brave enough. Because you [11:16] know how many followers Jesus Christ [11:17] had? He had 12 and he changed the world. [11:22] >> [applause] [11:23] >> And as much [11:25] And as much as you pray, as much as you [11:28] pray for me and you pray for my people, [11:30] let me be clear. I pray for you and I [11:32] pray for you people because there is no [11:35] Christian America and Jewish America. [11:37] There is simply the American people. And [11:39] as I said from the beginning, we may [11:41] pray differently, but we are all God's [11:43] children. And ultimately, we will come [11:45] together and we will fulfill the verse [11:47] of Psalms 133, "Behold how good and how [11:51] pleasant it is for brethren to sit [11:53] together in unity." You represent the [11:55] best of what it means to be an American. [11:58] So, may God bless each and every one of [12:01] you. May he bless the land of Israel. [12:03] May he bless, protect, and defend the [12:06] United States of America. And God is not [12:09] dead. He is alive. He is here and he is [12:12] in this room together with each and [12:15] every one of us. [12:17] >> [applause and cheering] [12:19] >> Thank you very much.
