Transcript [00:00] Joe Rogan was in utter shock when Sam [00:03] Harris said this about Islam. Take a [00:06] look. [00:06] >> The reality is that I mean jihad is as [00:09] old as Islam and and Islam spread by [00:12] jihad and [00:12] >> but isn't the original version of jihad [00:14] a war on your own vices? [00:16] >> No. No. That's just No. I mean there is [00:17] that component to it. There is a inner [00:19] jihad and an outer jihad, but there was [00:20] always an outer jihad. And that's how [00:22] Muhammad spread the faith. and Muhammad. [00:24] I mean, so to answer your question very [00:25] simply, as I did somewhere, I just said [00:28] there's absolutely nothing ISIS is [00:30] doing, the Islamic State is doing that [00:32] Muhammad didn't do, right? I mean, I [00:35] think I said good luck finding something [00:36] significant that some difference between [00:38] them. I mean, taking sex slaves, right? [00:41] Muhammad took sex slaves and gave sex [00:43] slaves to his his generals. It was [00:45] totally kosher. It's a kosher thing to [00:47] do if you're going to follow the example [00:48] of kosher. [00:49] >> Yeah. No, but halal. I mean, if you're [00:51] going if you're going to follow [00:52] Muhammad's example, which is a real is [00:55] is perhaps the main lens through which [00:57] you have to look at this. I mean, [00:58] there's the there's just what's in the [01:00] Quran and there's what's in the hadith, [01:01] the larger literature, and there's the [01:03] example of Muhammad, which is which is [01:04] attested to in both those literatures [01:06] and in in the early biographies about [01:08] him. Muhammad was not like the Buddha. [01:11] He was not like Jesus. He was not like [01:13] he was not he was he was a conquering [01:16] warlord who succeeded, right? And that [01:19] is an example that is very different [01:20] from the example of a guy who got [01:22] crucified or the example of a guy who [01:23] spent his life meditating and then [01:25] teaching. Right? If if the Buddha had [01:26] been lpping heads off, you know, out of [01:29] every sermon and advocating just talking [01:31] endlessly about um when to kill people [01:34] and how many people to kill and, you [01:36] know, how many sex slave how to treat [01:37] your sex slaves. If that was if that was [01:39] just strewn throughout the Buddhist [01:41] teaching, I would expect Buddhists to [01:43] behave exactly the way we see members of [01:45] ISIS and al-Qaeda and al-Shabaab and Boo [01:46] Haram behave. How to treat your sex [01:49] slaves? [01:49] >> Sure. How how many? So So yes, you [01:52] >> How do you treat your sex slaves? Not [01:54] you. [01:54] >> Yeah. How was how was [01:56] >> taking taking sex I mean taking sex [01:58] slaves? Taking So you can It's not [02:00] adultery if you're having sex with sex [02:01] slaves. It's adultery if you're if [02:02] you're having sex with someone other [02:04] women, right? [02:05] >> Other Muslim women. But you're [02:06] >> convenient. [02:07] >> Um [snorts] [02:08] no, you can slavery. I mean this is this [02:10] is the horror of of Abrahamic religion [02:13] generally. I mean these are this is why [02:15] we know these are books were not [02:16] authored by a moral genius. The Bible [02:19] and the Quran can't give you a basis to [02:22] resist slavery. I mean they the slavery [02:24] is supported in both traditions. So the [02:26] fact that we have, [02:28] you know, after centuries decided to to [02:31] more or less unanimously that slavery is [02:33] an abomination, that proves that there's [02:35] more moral wisdom to be to be found [02:38] outside of these books than inside, at [02:39] least on that point. And I would argue [02:42] on on virtually every other point of [02:43] consequence. Now, it's not that it's not [02:44] to say they're not gems of of of moral [02:46] wisdom in in some of these books, but [02:49] they're not best found in those books. [02:50] And there's so much else in there that [02:52] is just that gives you the ethic of the [02:53] Taliban. And that's and that's it's an [02:56] inconvenient fact because it is I mean [02:58] this is what the fundamentalists the [02:59] quote fundamentalists do. The Islamists [03:01] and the jihadists look at the books. [03:04] You know that the members of of ISIS [03:05] right now have the theology on their [03:08] side. It's not like they're ignoring the [03:09] books. They're looking at the books very [03:10] literally and they're saying you know [03:13] what in here uh you know what are we [03:16] what are we doing that you don't find in [03:17] the books? Essentially it's like we [03:19] we're just this is just connect the [03:20] dots. You know, that was one of the [03:21] videos that you had posted up on your [03:23] blog that you and I discussed, the guy [03:25] that was standing in front of all those [03:26] people that was talking about stoning [03:28] people for adultery or the treatment of [03:29] homosexuals and how that this is not [03:32] radical Islam. This is just Islam. And [03:34] that was shocking. And that's one of [03:36] those videos where you post it or you [03:37] talk about it and you get a million [03:38] people that get upset at you over it. [03:40] You get a million people that call you [03:42] Islamophobic or what have you and get [03:44] upset about it. And a lot of those are [03:46] the same people. There was a weird thing [03:47] that happened after Charlie Ebdo that [03:49] really kind of freaked me out where [03:51] there was a lot of liberals and [03:52] progressives that were pointing to the [03:55] callousness of the cartoons as almost a [03:57] justification for murdering a bunch of [03:59] cartoonists. [04:00] >> Yeah. [04:01] >> That, you know, the punching down thing [04:03] kept being discussed. this weird liberal [04:06] obsession with the way humor is [04:08] disseminated that in somehow or another [04:10] it justified or at least uh rationalized [04:13] the fact that they could just gun down [04:15] cartoonists. [Â __Â ] cartoonists. You're [04:17] not talking about people that are doing [04:18] experiments on monkeys or people that [04:21] are torturing animals. You're not [04:23] talking about people that are [04:24] imprisoning other human beings. You're [04:25] not talking about people that are, you [04:27] know, even even stopping people from [04:29] doing anything. just mocking them in [04:32] cartoon form [04:33] >> and in this case mocking also [04:34] Christianity and the Vatican and and [04:36] many of the things that were interpreted [04:37] interpreted as racist weren't even [04:39] racist if you understood French or [04:40] French politics. So, it's political [04:42] correctness and fears about being [04:43] perceived as a racist. And this this [04:46] notion that um you should [04:50] that it makes sense to have a double [04:53] standard here where you can um that [04:55] there's some trade-off between freedom [04:57] of expression and freedom of religion [05:00] where where where when the freedom [05:02] that's being claimed on the religious [05:03] side is the freedom not to be offended, [05:05] right? Okay. To not so I what really [05:07] what's happening here is some number of [05:09] Muslims are demanding that non-Muslims [05:13] follow the taboss of Islam. So it's [05:16] taboo for you to to say anything [05:17] negative about the prophet or even to [05:19] depict him in in a drawing. Right. [05:21] That's that's where it gets really [05:22] >> we want and we want you to follow this [05:24] taboo though you are not Muslim and we [05:26] feel so strongly about this that we're [05:29] going to kill you or threaten make [05:31] credible threats of of killing you or [05:33] we're just going to when people do kill [05:35] you we're going to blame you for having [05:36] gotten yourself killed for having been [05:37] so stupid and insensitive by [05:38] caricaturing the prophet and that whole [05:41] I mean that just has to lose I mean we [05:43] have to we have to hold to free speech [05:45] so uh unequivocally that all the people [05:49] over here who think that that there is [05:51] this trade-off between religious [05:52] sensitivity and free speech just have to [05:54] realize that they they've lost because [05:55] we don't play this game with any other [05:57] religion. Just think about this is an [05:58] analogy I've used before, but the Book [06:00] of Mormon, right? It just it just [06:02] pillaries Mormonism. It makes Mormonism [06:04] look ridiculous, right? What did the [06:06] Mormons do in response? The Mormons took [06:08] out ads in Play Bill, right? It was very [06:10] cute what they did. They took out like [06:11] if you if you like the play, you know, [06:13] come come learn the real stuff, right? [06:14] It was just it was totally civil, [06:16] good-natured, fine. [06:18] >> They're my favorite cult. [06:19] >> Yeah. Yeah, [06:19] >> they really are. I like them way more [06:20] than I even like Scientology, which is [06:22] my second favorite cult. [06:23] >> But but Trey Parker and Ned Stone are [06:25] not looking over their shoulders for the [06:27] Mormon assassins [06:29] about Muslims. But briefly, they didn't [06:31] even they put Muhammad in a bear suit. [06:33] It was just a bear, right? And then they [06:34] had to put the bear suit in a van. [06:36] >> Yeah. And then they pulled it off the [06:37] air or still they had to pull it off the [06:38] air. And we're still It made sense for [06:40] them to pull it off the air given the [06:42] actual nature of the threat. And so [06:44] we've so as I've argued, we have already [06:46] lost our freedom of speech on this [06:47] issue. and that one individual issue [06:49] we've almost the only issue on earth [06:51] really and there are people on the the [06:55] liberal side of this argument who think [06:57] that is a good thing that that is a that [06:59] you you are a racist to question the [07:01] decency of that situation and it's just [07:04] not true. It's it's a completely insane [07:05] doctrine that is that we should not have [07:08] to we should be able to criticize to our [07:09] hearts content without threats of [07:10] violence as we as we can with every [07:12] other insane doctrine. Do you think that [07:13] that's fear? That that's a fear of [07:15] Islam, a fear of retaliation, that they [07:16] want to be on the side of the others [07:18] because it's so dangerous, because they [07:20] are the only religion that will come out [07:21] and kill you. And these same people I [07:23] found that will call people out on being [07:24] Islamophobic will not say a [Â __Â ] peep [07:27] about anti-Christian rhetoric. If you [07:28] start talking [Â __Â ] about Jesus or [07:30] mocking Christianity, they never have a [07:32] word to say about it because it's not [07:33] dangerous. Because it's not dangerous to [07:35] be on that side. [07:36] >> I I think it's much more just white [07:38] guilt and um and political correctness. [07:42] It is mind-boggling to the average [07:44] person who never heard anything about [07:46] Islam that their prophet was a pedophile [07:49] warlord is, you know, has no distinction [07:52] from a guy like Jeffrey freaking [07:55] Epstein, right? Everybody talks Jeffrey [07:57] Epstein, the Jews, Israel, all this [07:59] stuff. Uh, you kind of worship a guy [08:02] like him. Cam Higgby, friend of mine, is [08:06] now going online, going on OMI TV where [08:09] you meet strangers and actually asking [08:12] them, "What are you saying about this [08:13] email from Jeffrey Epste?" And he reads [08:15] some horrific line about, you know, [08:18] meeting with or or not needing consent [08:20] or something like that. And they're [08:22] like, "Whoa, that's that's insane." And [08:26] then he goes and says, "Oh, no, actually [08:27] that's the Prophet Muhammad. That's your [08:29] Prophet Muhammad." Because many of them [08:31] are Muslim. and they're like and they [08:33] like instantly are like, you know, it's [08:34] a gotcha moment. But that is the [08:37] reality. I mean, it really is shocking [08:40] if you think about it. Like 72 virgin, [08:42] like some of the aspects of this [08:43] religion are like, whoa, [08:46] what is going on over here? And I think [08:48] that, you know, Joe Rogan, average [08:50] people, liberals, former liberals that [08:53] hear about this are like absolutely [08:55] flabbergasted at some of the topics and [08:58] some of the the practices in this [09:01] so-called religion. Thank you for [09:03] watching and I'll see you in the next [09:05] one. [music] [09:13] >> They voted in Hamz knowing what Hamas [09:15] are. Hamas gave no warning before they [09:17] slaughtered 1,300 women and children. [09:20] >> October 7th has happened. [09:28] [music] [09:31] >> Okay. [09:33] Jewel [09:35] for allies up there.
