Transcript [00:00] All right, Isai Flea here in the desert. [00:04] We got a war on outside, [00:06] but at the same time, it's time to see [00:08] the development of the Jewish [00:10] communities out here. Look at these. [00:12] Look at these mustard flowers. They're [00:14] amazing. They're beautiful. [00:16] And we just got to come and see the [00:18] desert right now. This is the time to do [00:20] it. This is the time to do it cuz if we [00:22] don't do it now, um we're not going to [00:24] get to see all this greenery. It's going [00:26] to become summer soon and then you're [00:27] going to miss this opportunity to see [00:29] this thing flourishing and flowering. [00:31] And before we go on, we got to figure [00:33] out, are we taking this straight? Are we [00:35] taking this left? I'm not sure because I [00:39] see the place that we're going to. You [00:40] see that synagogue over there that [00:41] they're building in the desert? He said [00:43] take it down. So, I wonder if I have to [00:45] take this left or not. We'll find out in [00:47] a second. Oh my god, look at this [00:51] beautiful land. This is the heart of [00:53] Judea. We're right outside of Taka, [00:57] which is a biblical city. Let's come [00:59] back to life for Hashem. And now the [01:02] question is, are we taking a left here? [01:07] I think so. Let's go left. [01:11] I think so. [01:14] >> Yeah. I don't see any connecting right. [01:16] >> Yeah. Okay. That's a new hilltop out [01:18] there that my friends are building. I [01:21] got to keep my eyes on the road here [01:22] also. So, I missed some of the big crazy [01:25] bumps. Wait. So, now [01:29] I don't understand where to go. Okay. Oh [01:33] my gosh, look at this valley. [01:40] Oh my gosh. Love it. Love it. Love it. [01:43] Oh, there's the Herodian. See the [01:45] Herodian out there? That is where King [01:48] Herod built one of his palaces. [01:51] Uh, and that's actually where he was [01:53] buried. And they looked for his tomb for [01:55] a long time. Finally, they found it. But [01:58] this spot, the Herodian, is like it [02:00] looks like a volcano, but it's not. It's [02:02] actually uh one of Herod's beautiful [02:05] palaces. And there's water sistns there. [02:08] And today, the state of Israel uh has a [02:11] national park there. In the meantime, [02:14] look at this desert. Wow. This is the [02:16] desert. Look how beautiful is, right, [02:17] Le? [02:18] >> Yes. [02:19] >> Oh my gosh. Wow. Look at these colors. [02:22] And I'm color blind [02:24] the way God intended it. Yeah, [02:28] the [02:29] >> flowers. [02:29] >> You can smell it now. You can smell [02:31] those amazing mustard flowers. [02:35] Is this crazy? This is the Judeian [02:36] desert. This is the Judeian desert and [02:39] it is flowering right now cuz it's the [02:42] end of winter and when the summer comes, [02:44] all this stuff becomes brown and it [02:46] becomes just deserty. But right now, [02:48] like this is one of the reasons why [02:50] we're here today is cuz we didn't want [02:52] to miss this uh this flowering season. [02:54] People come from all over just to see [02:55] the the desert bloom. And uh maybe we [02:59] can even find some rivlets or uh springs [03:03] or some uh some water source around [03:06] here. And the thing we're going to visit [03:08] right now is we're going to go visit uh [03:10] my friend Alicia who is building a [03:14] community out here and is building a [03:16] synagogue uh that is uh that word [03:19] synagogue seems so not fitting here. A [03:22] house of prayer, a Judeian house of [03:24] prayer uh in the Judeian desert which is [03:28] um going to be like one of the one of [03:31] the spiritual hearts of this place. And [03:34] uh that's that's one of the things [03:35] that's spirituality [03:37] and Jewish strength [03:40] uh love of God walking in the path of [03:42] the forefathers and mothers. Those are [03:45] those are one those are one thing. What [03:48] a field. Wow. Look at this field. Oh my [03:51] god. Oh my god. [03:55] Is that something else? Le is that [03:56] something else? [03:57] >> Amazing. [03:58] >> Wow. [04:02] I'm so glad that we're [04:03] >> mustard plant. [04:04] >> Yeah, this is mustard plant and and it [04:06] it lasts for a little bit of time. Just [04:07] a little bit of time and then uh and [04:10] then it goes away. So, it's like just [04:11] really catching it. One of the things I [04:13] I always feel sad about uh video is that [04:16] there's no smell option. Like you just [04:18] can't smell what we're what we're [04:20] smelling right now. Uh, and I'm thinking [04:23] about creating an invention where you'll [04:25] be able to smell it, smell the TV, and [04:28] it's called smell vision. But [04:32] in the meantime, you won't be able to [04:33] smell this Judeian scent. Now, as we [04:36] turn the camera towards the deeper [04:38] desert, well, there it's more deserty, [04:40] right? What color is it out there, Le? [04:43] >> It's like a beige. [04:45] >> Yeah, [04:46] >> brown. [04:48] One of the tractors uh that I helped buy [04:52] uh through supporters and friends dug [04:55] out this road. I remember this tractor [04:56] working right here. [04:59] And so uh tractors are a very powerful [05:02] tool in the hands of Judeian farmers. [05:07] Uh they really help them dig out roads [05:10] and it's a sign that that we're really [05:11] we we are here to stay. We mean it. [05:13] Tractors are powerful. I call them the [05:15] tanks of the farmer. So, I remember [05:17] digging I remember driving out here and [05:19] seeing it being dug and just to drive [05:21] out now on a semi-normal road is [05:23] awesome. [05:27] Yeah. [05:30] Hey. [05:33] >> Yeah. [05:36] And here we are in this Judeian hilltop. [05:40] >> This Judeian hilltop. [05:49] Okay, where are we now? [05:55] Okay, listen. So, it's the farm or farm. [06:01] Okay. [06:07] Okay. [06:08] >> Okay. Okay. So the farm is called the is [06:12] >> zora zoruda right we have a lot of the [06:14] the name yudah comes back and comes back [06:16] in a lot of places around here. Uh and [06:19] so this is zoruda is the is the place [06:21] but the farm is called [06:26] okay and you are building a beautiful [06:29] synagogue [06:34] is supposed to be like a spiritual [06:35] center here. Okay. [06:53] Okay. So, there's a big project here. [06:54] It's not just a synagogue. It's actually [06:56] a spiritual center. It's meant to be a [06:58] place where all the farmers, all the the [07:01] small hilltops and farms from around [07:03] here will come and study Torah and be [07:05] basically like a spiritual center. [07:11] It's very important to connect the folks [07:14] that are working on the ground to the [07:16] Torah of the land of Israel. [07:22] >> Therefore, it's like this big thing. [07:24] It's not a small thing. Okay. [07:29] >> Okay. You're we're at the end of the uh [07:32] skeleton of the building structure. Uh [07:36] uh part of the uh building process. [07:46] >> Okay. So, we got to do the finished [07:47] thing which is going to include the [07:49] windows [07:51] uh and the walls [07:53] uh the flooring and there's a beautiful [07:55] kipah here, right? There's a beautiful [08:01] >> Okay, last week we we cemented the dome. [08:09] Okay, next week we're taking off this [08:10] metal girding and then you'll see the [08:12] beautiful dome above it. Awesome. Let's [08:15] take a look at these views. [08:26] And I was asking about the Moroccan [08:27] style. [08:34] Uh, so it fits well. The Moroccan style [08:36] fits well with the desert, with the [08:37] region. Okay. [08:43] Right. [08:48] Once in the land of Israel, all the [08:50] synagogues had these domes, right? The [08:53] synagogue. [08:55] Again, this takes inspiration from the [08:58] synagogue in [09:02] we're building in our own also. [09:07] Okay. H there's going to be like a [09:08] central bama central stage here. Wow. [09:12] Right. Right. Wow. [09:16] Ah. So over here is going to be a big [09:18] yard for little weddings for for for [09:21] celebrations. So, uh, some driver that [09:24] was driving out some stones from the [09:26] Western Wall Plaza that they're digging [09:28] there right now is like, "I don't know [09:29] where to drop these off. They want to [09:31] get rid of them." So, they just dropped [09:32] off tons of stone here so they could use [09:36] it from the Western Wall here uh, in [09:38] this plaza. That's awesome. Is it? [09:40] >> No, not from the wall itself. From the [09:42] PL from the floor. Okay, that's awesome. [09:45] >> Okay, so bathroom areas. And that's so [09:47] fun. I love seeing it in progress. [09:51] Next stage is the flooring and that's [09:53] like for turning it from from this [09:55] skeleton to [09:58] block light blocks. They're great [10:00] things. So this beautiful thing is uh is [10:03] already going to be taking shape real [10:05] soon and becoming this beautiful place [10:06] that we have such a merit to be here [10:09] today. [10:13] >> Okay, this is going to be the the main [10:15] entrance into the whole uh prayer house [10:18] uh complex. And I love this, [10:23] right? There's going to be two pillars [10:25] and this is going to stay in the middle, [10:27] right? And so this is a verse from [10:37] Right. [10:45] Right after the war. Right. After the [10:48] war, God is going to find they're going [10:50] to find favor in God's eyes and they're [10:51] going to go out to the desert to find [10:53] some peace. So, [10:59] okay. Found favor is favor or or uh [11:02] what's the grace in the desert in the [11:05] desert. So, that's going to be right [11:06] over this desert. Look at the synagogue. [11:08] Take a look at this. Look at this thing. [11:10] What a beauty. What a beautiful thing. [11:13] What a beautiful Moroccan style here in [11:15] the desert. It fits Jewish Moroccan [11:17] style. That is okay. And look at this [11:19] hilltop. Of course, we can't pass the [11:21] smell. The smell is not coming to you, [11:23] but the but the atmosphere uh and the [11:25] the that cool yet warm wind at the same [11:28] time. The dead sea out that way. Just [11:31] absolutely gorgeous. Just absolutely [11:33] gorgeous. Okay, let's let's see the [11:35] graffiti that we have here. We have the [11:37] famous abata graffiti, which means [11:40] father thank you. That's it. That's all [11:42] it is. Father thanks. That simple. Mhm. [11:46] Okay. [11:49] >> The builders keep yelling out, "Father, [11:51] thank you." [11:54] I I had the merit of helping this farm [11:58] get some support uh through one of my [12:00] friends uh who loves these hilltops. And [12:04] so this beautiful Hitachi [12:08] mini bugger, right? It's a [12:10] >> bugger. [12:13] I don't know what we call it in English. [12:15] I really don't know. But we call it [12:16] >> bugger mini bugger. [12:18] >> So it's not a mini bugger and it's not a [12:19] full bugger. In Hebrew it just means a [12:22] like a digger. Uh and this thing [12:26] >> it works. It really works. It really [12:28] changes everything. So this beautiful [12:29] tractor. These things make a difference. [12:31] Okay. With these things, this gives [12:33] power to young farmers such as this. [12:35] This little thing makes a big [12:37] difference. [12:38] >> This baby goat was born. I mean sheep [12:42] half an hour ago. [12:44] So the mom's gonna be defensive. So we [12:46] don't want to scare her too much. [12:50] Look, [12:52] that's life. Life in Judea. There's just [12:55] all these birds flying around. Beautiful [12:58] pigeons. [13:06] Is there any comments? It's just funny [13:08] cuz meanwhile while we're looking at all [13:10] these like beautiful things in the [13:11] nature, there's like streaks uh of smoke [13:13] in the sky from Iranian missiles. [13:16] >> Yeah. [13:18] Part of what we think is a Iranian [13:23] ballistic missile. [13:37] This is a beautiful synagogue. It's [13:39] going to be amazing. It's going to be [13:42] one of the lights of this desert. It's a [13:44] place you're going to come at night, [13:45] learn Torah here. It's just going to be [13:48] beautiful. You're going to feel the [13:50] energy. You're going to feel the energy [13:52] of this place. [13:54] Yeah. [13:56] That's a synagogue. See that? That is a [13:58] synagogue. Oh, look. And you have two [14:00] donkeys here. Two white donkeys. So that [14:03] already teaches you that it's it's [14:04] Messianic. Yeah, there you go. Hello, [14:07] white donkeys. Vuke. All right. [14:11] Two beautiful white donkeys. Perfect. [14:13] Right next to the synagogue. So that [14:14] already tells you. [14:17] And out there, we didn't talk about it, [14:18] but out there is the Dead Sea. Out there [14:21] is the Dead Sea. [14:23] Just right over the Dead Sea. [14:30] >> Okay. Okay, this is a 2,000-y old [14:32] >> uh um milling stone. Okay, you see this [14:35] milling stone is beautiful. [14:41] >> This is an Iranian missile that fell [14:43] down here. When was this? [14:48] >> Right. This is from the 12-day war. [14:51] Okay. Uh and so uh [14:56] >> Okay. fell in the desert in one of the [14:58] uh wis here. [15:05] >> You want to make like a big like a big [15:07] candle [15:11] >> like a big welcome sign. Okay. [15:14] So good. [15:16] >> Bad guys, we we make uh we make [15:19] ornaments from your missiles. Okay. [15:21] Silly bad guys. Silly bad guys. The [15:23] Jewish people are coming home. Nothing's [15:25] going to stop us. We're coming home. [15:27] We're here forever, baby. Beauty fem. [15:30] Okay. [15:32] >> Okay. [15:33] >> He said we could make it into a kid [15:35] slide. That'll be the ultimate That'll [15:37] be the ultimate punishment to the [15:39] Iranians. We'll make We'll make your [15:41] rockets into like little kitty slides. [15:43] Love it. I love a kitty slide. [15:47] It usually has not been that green [15:50] because Arab uh flocks would eat up [15:53] everything, but now there's a lot less [15:54] Arabs around here. [15:56] >> Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? [16:00] >> Okay, this is all from the Western Wall. [16:02] It got dumped over here. [16:05] >> Right. Not the wall itself, but the [16:08] plaza that built, I think, in the built [16:11] in the 70s. They're rebuilding it right [16:13] now. So, this is some of the old stuff [16:15] there. [16:19] What's up? [16:24] >> Okay, this is great stuff from the [16:25] Western Wall Plaza floor. Okay, built in [16:27] the in the ' 60s and ' 70s is now dumped [16:30] out here and they're going to make the [16:31] next spots, the the uh outside of the [16:35] synagogue. It's going to be the welcome [16:38] patio for celebrations. Beautiful. [16:43] Okay. And this is the next hilltop that [16:46] Alicia and his family are helping uh [16:49] create. [16:54] >> Okay. Eight months ago, they went up to [16:56] this next hilltop. And this is the [16:58] Tomare farm. And this Tomer farm is [17:00] named after a Golani commander who fell [17:02] in the war. Okay. And just just look at [17:05] this. Why are you barking? Why are you [17:07] barking at me? Okay. [17:15] The land of Israel is flourishing as the [17:17] Jewish people return to the land of [17:18] Israel. Beautiful. [17:21] So really what we have is we have a road [17:23] to Yam. [17:25] We have view on Jerusalem and the [17:27] Herodian. We got the desert that we're [17:31] making it flourish. [17:35] And we have the synagogue which is in [17:37] the middle of the desert and it's being [17:40] uh becoming a center spiritual center. [18:04] Okay. a few months from now we'll be [18:05] able to drive directly to [18:13] he says the minute the minute that [18:14] there's a way the Jewish people the [18:16] Israelis we come driving like the minute [18:19] you open a road it opens up the [18:21] opportunity all we need is a tractor and [18:23] guys like you [18:27] okay [18:33] amen good good tidings for all of [18:35] Israel. Amen. [18:38] >> It is glorious. [18:40] It is so glorious. You know what's so [18:42] glorious? Whoa. [18:44] >> Not dying. [18:45] >> That was called a slippage. Slippage. I [18:48] know. I handle that very well. First [18:51] thing, these little flowers are [18:52] glorious. Second thing, the most [18:54] glorious thing of them all is seeing [18:56] Jerusalem. So there's a Herodian, but [18:58] out there is Jerusalem. I could see the [18:59] Mount of Olives all the way up there. [19:01] And I used to live in the Mount of [19:02] Olives, so I can recognize it very [19:03] easily. And so that's just awesome just [19:06] to see uh Jerusalem from here. What is [19:09] famously biblically known as the desert [19:12] of Tcoa, Midbar Ta. And I see the town [19:15] of Tcoa over here. And just a few [19:18] minutes ago, my son and I went here. [19:21] Look at this. Look at this, right? You [19:22] see this like wooden area? And look [19:25] carefully. There is this uh [19:30] okay look carefully there is this uh uh [19:33] stone structure and you open this up [19:44] right I'm not going to go in the water [19:46] now but I'll show you I'll demonstrate [19:48] what happened there okay [19:52] you just check this out you guys you sit [19:53] down here oh my gosh I hope the mic [19:55] doesn't drop in the water. Oh my gosh. [19:57] This might like [19:58] >> not drop nothing in. [19:59] >> Yeah. Let's not drop anything in the [20:01] water. Okay. [20:03] Okay. [20:05] Okay. So, you just turn around in here [20:08] and you go in here and go in here and [20:18] Okay. There is my uh feet. Okay. And [20:20] here I am above the water. Okay. This is [20:24] an ancient. [20:26] Just before I recorded this, me and my [20:30] son Elazar [20:32] uh dunked in here. And this is an [20:34] amazing water system from ancient times. [20:38] Okay. [20:43] Just an awesome thing to do to be able [20:45] to do here in the Judeian Desert. [20:56] Oh man, what a coming out when you come [20:59] out of one of these water sources, [21:02] you are just totally renewed. [21:06] So you do that kind of uh water dunk and [21:10] then you come out here and you just sit. [21:23] That's desert. That's the Judeian [21:26] desert. And this is something that I [21:28] always uh feel so strongly is that [21:32] people call us occupiers [21:34] and we're anything but. [21:37] We're so organic here in this land. [21:39] Let's take a look at this other side. [21:45] Look at this farm. I mean, the word [21:47] organic is what fits here so correctly. [21:50] Look at this farm at the edge of the [21:51] desert. [21:53] What a what a gorgeous truth it is [21:58] that the Jewish people are back. Is [22:00] there anything more beautiful? And for [22:03] me, uh the one thing I think about is [22:05] what we call [22:07] which is like how to settle this land, [22:10] how to help settle this land, how to be [22:13] part of this effort of this rebirth. Is [22:15] there anything more glorious? Is there [22:17] anything more awesome? I just and just [22:20] to have a touch into it to be like, I [22:22] brought this tractor here. I I helped [22:24] these guys build that build that that [22:27] that synagogue. [22:31] >> See that synagogue there? Like you're [22:34] just like, what what else do I need in [22:35] this world? What else do I need in this [22:37] world? [22:40] That's the greatest gift that Hashem [22:41] could give us is to be part of his [22:43] glorious story. And the mitzvah of our [22:45] time is Yeshua, settling the land of [22:49] Israel. That's the big mitzvah of our [22:50] time. All the commandments are [22:52] important. All the commandments are real [22:53] and alive. But the mitzvah of settling [22:55] the land is the mitzvah of our time. [22:57] It's like our generation's role. And so [23:00] that's what we got to be part of. [23:02] And at the same time with everything you [23:04] also got to take a second and breathe [23:06] and relax and enjoy and just to thank [23:09] God and to praise God. When we praise [23:11] God of course we turn towards Jerusalem. [23:13] When we praise God we turn towards [23:14] Jerusalem and we say wow Hashem your [23:16] holy city you're glorious your glorious [23:19] abode your presence in this world. I [23:22] could see that temple. Do you see the [23:23] temple? The third temple that Tucker is [23:25] so worried about. There it is right [23:27] there. And the smoke stack is going up. [23:29] Amazing. Amazing rebirth, amazing gift, [23:32] amazing land, amazing commandment of our [23:35] time. Nothing is bigger. And you're a [23:38] part of it. Uh check out our new [23:40] website, by the way, which is [23:42] buildisrael.com. [23:43] Do you like that, L? [23:44] >> Yeah. [23:45] >> Buildis Isisrael.com. It's so easy, so [23:47] beautiful. You know what I love about [23:48] that? In two words, it's basically like [23:50] what I believe in, which is [23:51] buildisrael.com. Build Israel. I believe [23:54] in that. You believe in that. God [23:55] believes in that. That's why he's [23:56] letting us build Israel. And the slogan [23:59] of buildisrael.com is building Israel [24:01] together. That's what we're doing. [24:03] Building Israel together. [24:07] All right, let's keep going. God bless [24:09] you.
