Transcript [00:01] Well, it looks to me like this ceasefire [00:04] in the Strait of Hormuz is ending. [00:07] We all know that a couple days ago there [00:09] were these attacks where the United [00:10] States carried out self-defense attacks [00:13] against Bandar Abbas and a couple of [00:14] other sites in the Strait of Hormuz. We [00:18] talked about that in a number of [00:19] previous videos about how the sites that [00:21] they attacked were missile launch sites [00:25] in the in the coastal area at key [00:27] strategic points of the coastal area of [00:29] Iran. And now we're seeing that things [00:31] are escalating. Well, just over the [00:32] course of the last 24 hours, we're going [00:34] to go through all the headlines about [00:36] the Strait of Hormuz and really talk [00:37] about where things are going from here. [00:40] So, let's get to the headlines. We're [00:41] going to do some Iranian state media and [00:44] some and some Western media as well. [00:47] So, let's hit it. [00:49] So, in a this is from WANA, Iranian [00:51] state media from this morning. IRGC [00:53] responds to US attack on Bandar Abbas by [00:56] targeting source of aggression. Bandar [00:58] Abbas, just to remind everyone, Bandar [01:00] Abbas is right here. This is a major [01:02] area right uh in the [01:05] in the Strait of Hormuz and the United [01:07] States struck it the other day. They [01:09] said in a self-defense [01:12] uh in a self-defense action. The Islamic [01:14] Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that [01:17] it had retaliated against what it [01:19] described as a US military attack near [01:21] Bandar Abbas by targeting the American [01:24] airbase identified as the source of the [01:27] strike. [01:28] In an official statement released by the [01:30] IRGC's public relations office, the [01:32] force said the US military carried out [01:34] an attack at dawn [01:37] using aerial projectiles against a [01:39] location on the outskirts of Bandar [01:41] Abbas airport. [01:44] Quote, "The response serves as a serious [01:46] warning to the enemy that aggression [01:48] will not go unanswered." The statement [01:50] said adding that any further attacks [01:51] would be met with a more [01:54] decisive response. And they ended their [01:57] statement with the verse from the Quran, [01:59] "Victory comes only from Allah, the [02:01] almighty, the wise." [02:03] And then they put out this video a [02:05] couple hours later. [02:07] Footage released of IRGC's early morning [02:09] operation in response to US attack [02:12] on Bandar Abbas. And here is the video [02:15] that they put out. This is kind of the [02:17] comic relief part of this video. Take a [02:21] look. [03:12] There you go. Uh well, I hope you [03:13] enjoyed the [03:14] 1970s era [03:17] uh spy thriller background music there. [03:20] In a statement, the IRGC described the [03:21] operation as a serious warning. [03:24] Okay. [03:26] Details emerge of overnight clash [03:28] between Iran and the US. Now, this is [03:30] different than the attack on Bandar [03:31] Abbas. Check this out. [03:33] This is a This is separate from the [03:36] United States' actions from [03:40] two nights ago, [03:41] which we were talking about over the [03:43] last couple of days. Look what it says [03:44] here. Informed sources say the [03:47] explosions heard overnight in East [03:49] Hormozgan province and near the Strait [03:52] of Hormuz were the result of an exchange [03:54] of fire [03:56] between Iranian armed forces and US [03:58] military units, placing the [04:00] strategically vital waterway back at the [04:02] center of regional security tensions. [04:04] So, this just to be clear, this is last [04:05] night. This means that the US is still [04:07] engaged in kinetic action beyond what [04:10] happened a couple days ago in those [04:12] defensive strikes against Bandar Abbas, [04:14] Jask, and Sirik. [04:16] This is new. [04:18] This is new. And they were It says that [04:20] they were striking in Eastern Hormozgan [04:23] province. We'll get to that in a moment. [04:26] According to the reports, several [04:27] American vessels attempted to pass [04:29] through the Strait of Hormuz [04:31] without prior coordination, [04:34] prompting a response from Iran's naval [04:36] forces. [04:38] Iran doesn't have a navy, [04:40] but it prompted a response from their [04:42] naval forces, probably some sort of [04:47] missile launch. Maybe they were [04:49] intercepted. The interception rate of [04:51] the Americans is very high, but they [04:53] were trying to disrupt these American [04:55] vessels [04:56] from passing through the Strait of [04:57] Hormuz. [04:58] Air defense systems were also activated [05:01] in the area. [05:06] With multiple explosions reportedly [05:08] heard across eastern parts of Hormozgan. [05:11] Sources said Iranian forces issued [05:13] warnings after detecting the movements [05:15] of the vessels before the situation [05:17] escalated into a limited exchange of [05:19] fire between the two sides. The American [05:22] vessels were ultimately forced to [05:24] retreat and reverse course. [05:27] Iran had previously warned that any [05:29] military transit through the strategic [05:31] waterway must be coordinated in advance [05:33] with Iranian authorities, [05:35] stressing that unauthorized movements [05:36] would trigger a response. [05:38] Following the incident, reports [05:40] indicated that US forces fired toward a [05:42] military base in the area. [05:45] The US military later acknowledged the [05:47] confrontation in a statement but claimed [05:49] that the exchange of fire did not [05:51] constitute a violation of the ongoing [05:53] ceasefire. [05:54] At the time of publication, no official [05:56] information has been released regarding [05:58] possible casualties or damage. However, [06:01] regional sources reported heightened [06:03] military alert levels in parts of the [06:05] Persian Gulf. [06:08] Okay, let's understand what happened [06:09] here. [06:11] So, this is what you have here in white [06:14] outlined in this red line. This is [06:16] Hormozgan province. Hormozgan province [06:19] is basically the part of Iran that sits [06:23] on the Strait of Hormuz. [06:24] That's what it is. Hormoz as in [06:26] Hormozgan, Hormoz Strait of Hormuz. This [06:29] is Hormozgan province. Eastern Hormozgan [06:31] province would be this area here. [06:34] So, apparently the US carried out [06:36] strikes on a military base in Hormozgan [06:39] province. [06:41] What precipitated this? Let's read [06:43] between the lines. US vessels try to go [06:46] through the Strait of Hormuz, which is [06:48] international waters. [06:50] They get disrupted by the Iranians. [06:55] Maybe it means that the Iranians are [06:57] firing rockets at them. [06:59] Some sort of military action is taken by [07:02] the Iranians [07:03] and the Americans then fire [07:06] at the Iranian bases. [07:08] I'm going to speculate here. [07:12] I'm going to speculate that the United [07:14] States [07:15] is [07:18] over the course of the last few days has [07:19] changed its [07:21] tactics completely. We've moved into a [07:23] new phase. [07:25] The other day we saw that in what they [07:27] called the defensive action initially [07:29] without specifying the locations, we saw [07:32] in Arab media that they had hit Bandar [07:34] Jask, [07:36] Sirik, [07:38] and Bandar Abbas and that there were [07:40] explosions heard south of Larak Island [07:43] right here. [07:45] And they said that it was defensive, [07:46] that they were protecting their navy. [07:49] And here we get this report that [07:50] American ships tried to pass through and [07:53] that the Iranians were trying to block [07:56] them, taking some sort of action and [07:58] that then the United States attacked [08:01] some military base in this area. [08:05] My speculation is that the Americans are [08:08] have decided to [08:10] take incremental steps [08:12] to degrade Iran's ability to keep the [08:17] straits closed. The way the Straits of [08:20] Hormuz remain closed is by the threat, [08:23] not only of the mines, [08:25] but of rockets [08:27] being fired from the from bases and [08:31] rocket launch sites [08:33] surrounding the Strait of Hormuz. [08:35] So, I think what the Americans are doing [08:37] is they're having ships go in there. [08:40] That's provoking a response from the [08:42] Iranians. [08:43] It then becomes a defensive action by [08:46] the Americans to deal with the threats, [08:49] but by the Iranians responding, they're [08:52] also revealing [08:54] their locations. You see, every missile [08:57] launch [09:00] reveals the source of the missile. [09:06] And this is, by the way, what the [09:07] Israelis do all the time. A missile gets [09:08] launched, they immediately [09:10] use that to figure out where it was [09:12] launched from, [09:14] and they attack the launch site. [09:17] I think the Americans might be provoking [09:20] the Iranians by passing ships through, [09:22] by trying to get ships through the [09:23] Strait of Hormuz, provoking the response [09:25] from Iran, and then using that as a [09:27] pretext [09:28] to [09:30] in the in self-defense [09:32] carry out these strikes to degrade the [09:34] Iranian positions. And this way, they're [09:37] actually shifting the balance. Instead [09:39] of just being in this negotiation where [09:40] the Iranians are saying, "We're you [09:42] know, we're not going to budge and we're [09:43] not going to open the Strait of Hormuz." [09:44] Remember, Marco Rubio keeps using this [09:47] phrase that the Strait of Hormuz will be [09:49] open one way or another. [09:51] So, I don't think the Americans are [09:53] waiting. [09:54] I think that they are degrading the [09:55] Iranian positions. That is my position. [09:58] Now, but it's not only about that [09:59] incident. Here's another incident that [10:01] took place. I said at the beginning of [10:02] the video that you know, the ceasefire [10:04] here [10:05] I I think is coming to an end. [10:08] This is from today. Kuwait faces missile [10:10] and drone attacks as Iran ceasefire [10:12] remains shaky. [10:15] Kuwait said it faced a missile and drone [10:17] attack Thursday. That's today. [10:20] As the shaky ceasefire in the Iran war [10:22] was again challenged after the United [10:24] States conducted strikes targeting Iran [10:26] and Tehran and it's a targeting Iran and [10:30] Tehran said it responded with an attack [10:31] of its own. Kuwait's military made the [10:34] announcement without providing further [10:35] details on what had been targeted. [10:40] Early Thursday morning, US officials [10:42] said that US Central Command forces shot [10:44] down four Iranian one-way attack drones [10:47] that posed a threat around the Strait of [10:48] Hormuz, according to US officials who [10:50] were not authorized to comment publicly [10:52] and spoke on condition of anonymity. [10:55] The US military also struck an Iranian [10:57] ground control station near Bandar Abbas [11:00] that was about to launch a fifth drone. [11:02] So, this is separate from [11:04] the strikes that were carried out a [11:05] couple days ago by the Americans. This [11:07] is last night. [11:10] So, those attack drones were probably [11:12] what the Iranians used to disrupt the [11:15] American ships. [11:18] The United States identified where these [11:20] drones were launched from. [11:22] They attacked Bandar Abbas, but they [11:23] also attacked somewhere in eastern [11:25] Hormozgan. [11:28] Iran's revol- Revolutionary Guard via [11:31] the state-run IRNA news agency, [11:33] acknowledged the attack around Bandar [11:35] Abbas airport. [11:37] The airport is where the drones get [11:38] launched from. [11:40] Now, Iran says it targeted American base [11:43] after fresh US strikes. This is from the [11:44] BBC. [11:46] Look what it says in here. [11:50] The IRGC has said it targeted an [11:52] American base in the region after fresh [11:54] US strikes in southern Iran. We saw that [11:56] in the initial story here, that Iran [11:59] responds to US attack. They said that [12:01] they they targeted a US base. [12:04] The IRGC did not say where the base was, [12:07] but Kuwait, which hosts a US base, said [12:10] it had intercepted hostile missile and [12:12] drone threats. And now we're putting the [12:14] pieces of the puzzle together. [12:16] The United States passes ships through. [12:18] This sparks a confrontation [12:21] between the Iranians and the Americans. [12:23] The Americans then fire on locations in [12:26] East Hormozgan, Bandar Abbas, knocking [12:28] down these these attack drones. The [12:30] Iranians, it now seems, early this [12:33] morning retaliated by attacking a US [12:35] base, trying to attack a US base in [12:37] Kuwait. [12:39] The Iranian missile launch came after [12:40] the US shot down Iranian drones over the [12:42] Strait of Hormuz and struck Bandar [12:44] Abbas. The renewed hostilities threaten [12:46] a fragile ceasefire between Washington [12:48] and Tehran. This is the second time in 3 [12:51] days that the US has attacked targets in [12:53] Iran, saying the strikes were conducted [12:55] in self-defense. [12:59] Okay. And [13:01] so that's what I that's what is going [13:03] on. Do you realize I said after the [13:05] first attacks, couple days ago, [13:08] if you watch this channel, you might [13:10] have seen this video. I said that what [13:12] we have to look for in the coming days [13:13] is is this going to continue? Are there [13:15] going to be more and more of these [13:16] skirmishes? [13:18] This is what happens in the Middle East [13:19] with ceasefires. Israel [13:21] in Israel we're used to this pattern. We [13:23] see it all the time, where there's a [13:24] ceasefire and then there's like little [13:27] skirmishes, a little firing, a little a [13:29] little pushing, a little testing the [13:31] ceasefire. And that's how ceasefires [13:33] break down. They don't they don't [13:34] generally break down because suddenly [13:35] boom, everyone's back to fighting. [13:38] It happens in this incremental way. [13:41] So, that's what's happening right now in [13:43] the Strait of Hormuz. Now, in addition [13:44] to that, we have this quote that's going [13:47] viral from President Trump that has to [13:49] do with Oman. [13:51] Take a look. [13:52] >> Would you accept a short-term deal that [13:54] allows Iran and Oman to control the [13:56] strait? And would they have to open it [13:58] immediately, or would you be open to [13:59] that happening over a period of time? [14:01] >> No, the strait's going to be open to [14:02] everybody. It's uh [14:03] >> And who would control it? [14:04] >> It's international waters. [14:06] >> Nobody's going to control it. [14:07] >> We're going to watch over it. [14:08] >> We'll watch over it, but nobody's going [14:10] to control it. This part of the [14:12] negotiation that we have, they would [14:13] like to control it. Nobody's going to [14:15] control it. It's international waters, [14:16] and uh Oman will behave just like [14:19] everybody else, or we'll have to blow [14:21] them up. They understand that. They'll [14:23] be fine. [14:26] >> Oman will behave, or will have to blow [14:29] them up. So, coverage of this, let's see [14:32] how the Arab world is covering this. [14:33] This is from the New Arab, which is a [14:36] very Arab [14:38] news outlet. It's actually based in [14:40] London, but it's Qatari funded. It's not [14:42] the same as Al Jazeera. It's a different [14:44] voice from Al Jazeera. That's kind of [14:46] why it was created. It was created by [14:47] Azmi Bishara. [14:49] He's basically a a pro-Palestine [14:51] activist. He He's an Israeli Arab who [14:53] actually sat in Knesset, but he [14:56] had to leave Israel after it was [14:58] discovered that he was probably sharing [15:00] information with Hezbollah. Interesting [15:01] guy, Azmi Bishara, but he started this [15:03] news outlet, the New Arab. They're out [15:05] there online. [15:06] And this is how they covered this event. [15:08] US President Donald Trump on Wednesday [15:10] appeared to threaten to attack Oman if [15:12] it sides with Iran over reopening the [15:14] Strait of Hormuz. And then it brings the [15:16] quote that I just shared with you. [15:19] Oman is a a US ally, which has tried to [15:22] mediate the US-Israeli war in Iran. [15:25] The US State Department later posted a [15:27] clip and transcript of Trump's comments [15:28] about Oman without any correction or [15:30] clarification. Now, look at what they [15:32] write here. [15:34] The 79-year-old, [15:36] referring to Trump, [15:38] did earlier appear to mix up Iran and [15:40] Venezuela, [15:42] saying that the South American nation [15:44] whose leader Nicolas Maduro was toppled [15:46] by US forces in January, quote, no [15:48] longer has a navy, [15:50] no longer has an air force. Trump has [15:52] repeatedly used such phrasing to refer [15:54] to Iran, which the US and Israel [15:56] attacked on February 28th. [15:59] Iran has indicated that it seeks to [16:00] impose a new reality in the Strait of [16:02] Hormuz, through which 1/5 of the world's [16:06] oil normally passes, exacting tolls on [16:09] transiting ships and sharing the [16:11] revenues with Oman. [16:15] So, Iran has indicated that. [16:21] But, you see what they did in this [16:22] piece. They start off by pointing [16:25] about how, you know, how out of place [16:29] Trump's comments were warning Oman. [16:33] They even imply that he's getting senile [16:37] by referring to him as the 79-year-old [16:39] who has mixed up Iran and Venezuela [16:41] before, [16:43] trying to say that maybe there was a [16:44] mistake here, maybe Trump misspoke [16:47] because he's getting old. [16:50] But, then they go ahead and say the [16:53] quiet part out loud, that yes, there [16:55] have been talks of Iran and Oman [16:58] charging tolls to go through the Strait [17:00] of Hormuz, which is international [17:01] waters. Let's review the map. [17:05] So, where does Oman play a role here? [17:07] So, of course, everything on this side [17:09] is Iran. What's Oman? [17:12] So, it's a little bit confusing, and [17:15] you have to understand this. You see [17:17] this There's a black line right here. [17:18] I'm really zooming in. Okay, let's zoom [17:20] in even more. [17:22] This black line right here [17:25] is the border between the United Arab [17:27] Emirates on this side and Oman. Meaning [17:29] all of this [17:31] this whole tip [17:33] this [17:34] it looks like a bunch of islands, like [17:36] an archipelago, sort of a peninsula. The [17:39] tip, let's zoom out again. [17:42] This tip here is part of Oman. [17:46] And the rest of Oman is down here. This [17:48] is all Oman. [17:49] And Oman is actually split in two. It's [17:51] really weird. Oman goes up to here. [17:53] There's a border here. [17:55] In between this line and this line, this [17:57] is all United Arab Emirates. [17:59] And then it's Oman again. So, Oman is [18:01] actually divided into two parts. Let's [18:03] zoom out even more. [18:05] This is This is the country of Oman. [18:08] This is United Arab Emirates. And then [18:10] the Emirates cuts across and cuts Oman [18:13] in half or in two parts, it's not really [18:15] half. And then at the tip over here is [18:17] Oman again. So, if you go into the [18:19] Strait of Hormuz, you want to go through [18:21] them, when you pass through the [18:23] narrowest part, the most problematic [18:24] part of the Strait of Hormuz [18:27] it's not like you have all these other [18:29] countries. We talk about, you know, the [18:30] Emirates and the Saudis and everyone's [18:31] in the Strait of Hormuz. They're not. [18:32] They're all in the Persian Gulf. The [18:34] strait itself [18:36] is flanked by Oman and Iran. [18:41] So, that is [18:42] the Strait of Hormuz story. And just to [18:44] close out this whole issue of the [18:45] current tensions that are going on, I [18:47] want to share with you a story [18:49] that relates to all of this [18:51] but uh it's not central to it, but I [18:54] didn't want to make a full video just [18:55] about it. [18:57] Before we go on, by the way, before we [18:59] we get to this last story, it's very [19:00] important. I want to make sure that you [19:02] subscribe [19:04] and that you are plugged into everything [19:06] we're doing. Make sure you go over to [19:07] the Israel 365 News YouTube channel and [19:10] you're subscribed there. And make sure [19:11] you watch all the videos. There are a [19:12] lot of very important [19:14] uh videos are being put up there. We [19:16] just put up another conversation between [19:18] myself and Dr. David Wurmser about [19:20] everything going on in the Middle East. [19:21] It's a must-watch. Go ahead and check [19:23] that out and check out all the content [19:25] we're putting up there. [19:27] Uh it's it's critical. [19:29] All right, this last story. Iranian [19:31] missile likely involved in attack [19:34] on ship in Strait of Hormuz, South Korea [19:37] says. This is a story from yesterday. An [19:40] Iranian anti-ship missile was likely [19:42] involved in an attack on a cargo ship [19:45] operated by local shipper HMM, whatever, [19:49] in the Strait of Hormuz earlier this [19:51] month, South Korea's foreign ministry [19:53] said on Wednesday. Saeed Kuzechi, the [19:56] Iranian ambassador to South Korea, [19:58] denied Iran's role in the South Korean [20:01] vessel attack saying his country took no [20:04] no part in it. [20:07] The Iranian embassy in Seoul did not [20:08] respond to a request for comment. [20:10] The ministry The ministry made the [20:13] assessment at a briefing announcing the [20:15] outcome of a government investigation [20:17] into the May 4th attack on the bulk [20:19] carrier, which caused a fire and damaged [20:21] the lower stern hull. Quote, "Various [20:24] pieces of evidence point toward Iran," [20:27] said first vice foreign minister Park [20:29] Yoon-kyu, adding that Seoul had not [20:31] conclusively determined who was [20:33] responsible or whether the the attack [20:35] was intentional. The probe looked at [20:37] debris from unidentified objects that [20:39] were found inside the ship after the [20:41] attack on the vessel. The analysis [20:44] showed that the ship, was named Namu, [20:46] was attacked twice and while the first [20:48] warhead did not explode, a second did. [20:51] Components in the debris indicated the [20:54] objects were likely made in Iran. [20:57] "Their engines were similar to turbojet [21:00] engines made in Iran," Park said, noting [21:02] that one component had markings that [21:04] appeared to to used by an Iranian [21:06] manufacturer. The warheads resembled [21:08] those used in Iranian anti-ship [21:10] missiles, the Noor or Ghader, Park said. [21:14] South Korea summoned the Iranian [21:15] ambassador to share the results of the [21:17] investigation and deliver a protest [21:19] message, according to the ministry. [21:21] US President Donald Trump said soon [21:23] after the incident that Iran had fired [21:25] at the South Korean vessel [21:27] and urged Seoul [21:29] to secure shipping. [21:32] Uh to join US-led efforts to secure [21:34] shipping through the strait. And here's [21:37] Iran's denial. Iran, this is from [21:39] Iranian state media, Iran rejects [21:41] Seoul's claim over ship incident. [21:45] Iran had absolutely no role in this [21:47] matter and rejects all accusations made [21:48] against it. That's from the [21:52] from the Iran's ambassador to South [21:53] Korea, Saeed Koozechi. And he says [21:57] And he says, regarding questions from [21:58] journalists about whether Tehran would [22:00] accept the findings of the South Korean [22:01] investigation or issue an apology, he [22:04] dismissed it and warned what he descri- [22:06] about what he described as a false flag [22:08] operation. Quote, we must remain [22:10] vigilant regarding such scenarios [22:12] orchestrated by adversarial parties. [22:15] The Iranian ambassador also referred to [22:17] the security situation in the region and [22:19] the Strait of Hormuz, [22:20] describing some of the recent incidents [22:22] as maritime piracy. [22:29] The Iranian diplomat concluded by saying [22:31] that his meeting with the senior South [22:32] Korean foreign ministry official lasted [22:34] around 40 minutes and focused on [22:36] bilateral relations and ways to expand [22:38] cooperation with Tehran and Seoul, [22:39] always ending on a positive note. [22:42] Earlier, South Korean authorities, while [22:43] announcing the results of their [22:44] investigation, [22:46] claimed that a range of evidence and [22:47] indications pointed to Iran's [22:49] involvement, an allegation that Tehran [22:51] has completely denied. [22:53] So, this was all just dropped in the in [22:55] the last couple of days. So, while the [22:57] incident took place [22:59] a few weeks ago, I think it's notable [23:01] that in the headlines, while all of [23:04] these all of these tensions are rising [23:05] and all these negotiations are going on, [23:08] that South Korea put this out there and [23:09] this hit the this hit the headlines. [23:11] They released this report [23:13] just the other day, and it just adds to [23:17] the narrative of the bad behavior of [23:20] Iran in the Strait of Hormuz. So, bottom [23:22] line on this video, let's just sum it [23:23] up, [23:24] is that I I believe that the United [23:26] States [23:27] is [23:30] is having ships pass through the Strait [23:32] of Hormuz. They're provoking Iranian [23:34] responses. Those provocations [23:36] give cover. They give context for the [23:39] United States [23:41] to [23:42] carry out retaliations. It also reveals [23:45] Iranian capabilities to keep the Strait [23:47] closed. [23:48] What It reveals what exactly their [23:50] tactics are. The best way to know how [23:52] they're keeping the Straits closed and [23:53] what the threat really is is send some [23:55] ships through and see what happens. [23:57] And then, if they fire on you, you can [23:59] also figure out where the drones came [24:01] from, where the missiles came from, and [24:02] then the United States is attacking [24:04] those bases. That's what I believe is [24:06] happening now. So, it is not a static [24:08] situation. [24:10] And uh yeah, that's where I think things [24:12] are. I think it's very uh you know, [24:14] we're going to watch it very closely, [24:15] and I'll keep bringing you updates as [24:17] things develop. God bless.
