Transcript [00:00] The feast of Sukkot invites us to [00:02] remember the Israelites journey in the [00:04] wilderness. Leading up to their release [00:05] from captivity is a trail lined with [00:08] miracles of deliverance. [music] [00:10] For instance, the plagues that God [00:12] brought upon Egypt affected the whole [00:14] nation except in the area of Goshen [00:17] where the Jewish people lived. [00:19] >> [music] [00:19] >> The final plague, the angel of death, [00:22] visited all of Egypt but passed over [00:26] every Jewish home whose doorframes were [00:28] covered by the blood of the Passover [00:30] lamb. After the Israelites left Egypt, [00:33] they found themselves trapped against [00:35] the Red Sea with Pharaoh's armies [00:37] closing in. All seemed hopeless. There [00:40] appeared to be no escape, but God [00:43] intervened by parting the sea. The [00:46] Israelite [music] walked safely through [00:48] a corridor of towering water with dry [00:51] ground beneath their feet. God has also [00:53] granted us a spiritual deliverance [00:55] >> [music] [00:55] >> through Yeshua, Jesus. He died to save [00:58] us from the second death, the eternal [01:01] separation from God. From these dark [01:03] nightmare, God has delivered everyone [01:06] who places their faith in Jesus [music] [01:08] the Messiah. So today, take some time to [01:11] remember the moments when God has [01:13] delivered you from physical harm, [01:15] danger, [music] or even death. Rejoice [01:17] in His goodness. Thank Him for these [01:19] precious gifts and tuck these memories [01:22] safely within your heart so [music] that [01:24] one day, when you need encouragement, [01:27] you can remember again how [music] [01:29] faithfully God has delivered you. [01:33] Follow us and enjoy this series about [01:35] Sukkot. This is day two of seven. [01:38] Shalom.
