🚨 Major Developments in the Region 🚨 Iran is currently conducting what it calls “missile tests,” but these are no small drills. Ballistic missiles are being fired across the country, and Israeli officials fear these tests could be cover for a real attack. In response, Prime Minister Netanyahu has ordered war simulations, raised readiness levels, and issued direct warnings to Tehran. Iran’s top army commander, Amir Hatami, announced that Iranian forces are at a high state of combat readiness, citing lessons learned from last year’s confrontation with Israel. At the same time, Netanyahu warned that any Iranian strike would be met with a very severe response, while stressing Israel is not seeking war. Israel has also run a full mass-casualty simulation, including mobile medical infrastructure for rapid evacuation and emergency care. Despite being tied up in court for his ongoing legal proceedings, Netanyahu joined security assessments via video conference. If the situation remains calm, he’s expected to meet President Trump in the U.S. next week, where reports say a possible new operation against Iran may be discussed. Iran’s growing missile program is a serious concern. U.S. officials say Iran could soon be producing up to 3,000 ballistic missiles a year, with the goal of launching thousands at once—potentially overwhelming Israel’s defenses. During the last Iranian attack, even limited launches caused devastating damage, leaving over 13,000 Israelis displaced. 📌 A Shadow from the PastAt the same time, Lebanese media reports suggest the Mossad may have kidnapped a former Lebanese intelligence officer in an effort to uncover information about Ron Arad, the Israeli air force officer captured in Lebanon in 1986. Though many believe Arad is no longer alive, Israel has never stopped searching for answers or closure for his family. 🌍 New Regional AlignmentsAdding to the concern, Egypt and Turkey are deepening their military and security cooperation, including joint naval exercises and new coordination frameworks. While the Trump administration still views both as allies, Israel is increasingly uneasy—especially as Egypt pushes to include Turkey in discussions about Gaza. Together, these two nations represent a growing strategic challenge on Israel’s borders. ⚠️ These are tense and consequential days for Israel and the region. 🙏 Community UpdateDon’t forget about our February pruning trip — details at ServeIsrael.comAnd our matching campaign is still live to support our work here in Israel.
