“Resistance is justified when people are occupied.”
We see the claim everywhere, but there's no actual lawbook giving anyone the right to massacre civilians, rape, or take hostages.
The UN Charter recognizes the right to self-determination. The Geneva Conventions explicitly prohibit murder, hostage-taking, and attacks on civilians.
No claim of occupation gives anyone the right to slaughter families, kidnap innocent people from their homes, or attack a music festival.
Calling terrorism “resistance” doesn’t make it legal. And chanting slogans doesn’t make it moral.
So the next time someone claims October 7 was justified resistance, ask them one question: What exactly are you defending?
