Transcript [00:00] The number one threat to western [00:01] civilization is is predatory political [00:05] Islam that has infected and and invaded [00:09] uh you know the west especially where [00:10] you are in the UK [00:13] in their you know with their willing [00:14] accompllices on the Marxist left. [00:18] What those two groups have in common is [00:20] that they deny and despise biblical [00:24] truth. Israel today is the ultimate [00:27] expression of the nation state and the [00:30] nation state is what has been under [00:32] attack by the left for decades. [00:35] >> Well, let me I want to touch on the the [00:38] the the miracle because the miracle from [00:40] back when God said to Abraham, look up [00:43] at the stars and your descendants will [00:44] be as numerous as this all the way [00:46] through the story. Um and all the way to [00:49] today that Israel actually survives and [00:52] exists as a nation. It is a miracle. Um, [00:56] but I want just the I think the the [00:58] understanding of even the word and just [01:01] touch on this a bit and then I I'll get [01:02] into that clash that hatred that is [01:06] building up against um against Jews. Uh [01:10] back when I guess you to look at Zion, [01:12] it's it wasn't used before. It seemed to [01:15] be a physical place on the edge of [01:18] Jerusalem and then was adopted as [01:20] Jerusalem. Zion. Uh it wasn't um uh it [01:24] wasn't the matrix that came up with the [01:25] term. Actually, it was thousands of [01:27] years ago in the Bible. But you've got [01:29] that, but it also it's not just a place. [01:31] It seems to be the presence of God. [01:34] You've got that, I guess, spiritual [01:37] connection. Um but you've also got that [01:40] physical. So, you've got the I guess the [01:42] spiritual and the the political kind of [01:44] coming together, which kind of is what [01:48] Israel is about. You've got you've got a [01:51] position land, but also you've got the [01:53] relationship spiritual and you've kind [01:55] of got those two coming together. Um [01:57] maybe that concept is something that a [02:00] lot of people today don't really [02:01] understand. [02:03] >> Oh, that's absolutely true. But you know [02:04] who does understand it? Hamas. [02:07] >> Yes, [02:08] >> they understand it. You know [02:11] the [02:13] they have a name for the war that they [02:16] started on October 7th. the attacks of [02:19] October 7th where 6,000 [02:23] uh Hamas terrorists and Palestinian [02:25] Islamic jihad and others plus many more [02:29] uh civilians in Gaza poured across, [02:32] raped murdered [02:34] did what they did. They have a name for [02:37] it. Kamas has a name for it. Their name [02:40] for that operation, just like every [02:41] country names military operations, their [02:43] name is the Al Axa flood. [02:47] That's their name for it, the Al Aka [02:50] flood. Now, Al Aka is the Muslim name [02:53] for the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. And [02:56] Peter, those terrorists got nowhere near [02:58] Jerusalem. The Gaza Strip is nowhere [02:59] near Jerusalem. It's in the other edge [03:01] of the country. [03:04] Why did they name their attacks on the [03:06] towns around the Gaza Strip, the Al Axa [03:10] flood? Because they know that this war [03:13] is all about Jerusalem. They know that [03:16] that's what it's about. Jerusalem, you [03:18] know the [03:21] Islam is about conquest. [03:24] And the crusaders who who went to take [03:27] Jerusalem back from the Muslims also [03:29] understood this. What is the definition [03:31] of Jerusalem [03:33] is is a is just an essential it's an [03:37] existential issue for the West. And [03:38] that's this is what so many of the Jew [03:41] haters in the West don't understand. And [03:43] I'm speaking now especially to those on [03:44] the right who've got all you know you [03:47] know who are all confused with this [03:49] anti-semitic rhetoric that is now making [03:51] headway on the right. They just don't [03:53] get it that what is Jerusalem either [03:57] Jerusalem is a place where there was a [03:59] temple and if you're Christian that [04:02] temple appears prominently in many of [04:04] the narratives in the New Testament. It [04:06] it is a place where Jesus worshiped [04:08] where Paul worshiped. Either that temple [04:12] stood either that temple stood on that [04:14] temple mount [04:16] and the Jew and or it didn't and the [04:19] Muslims claim it didn't. The Muslim [04:21] claims the Muslims claim that that's a [04:23] lie. [04:25] So if any Christian [04:29] who supports the idea that the Temple [04:33] Mount in Jerusalem should be part of [04:35] some Palestinian state and that Israel [04:37] are illegal occupiers of it [04:40] is denying their own heritage as a [04:42] Christian. They don't. And this is again [04:46] Jew hatred ends up hurting the people [04:50] who are the haters themselves. I feel [04:52] bad for them. uh you know the but it's [04:56] especially today where the number one [04:59] the number one threat to western [05:00] civilization is is predatory political [05:04] Islam that has infected and and invaded [05:08] uh you know the west especially where [05:10] you are in the UK [05:12] in their you know with their willing [05:13] accompllices on the Marxist left. [05:17] What those two groups have in common is [05:19] that they deny and despise biblical [05:23] truth. They have a lot of other things [05:26] in common, too. In fact, I'm working on [05:27] a book on what on all the all the things [05:30] they have in common at the philosophical [05:31] level, even at the theological level. Uh [05:34] that's an interesting topic. But for for [05:37] anyone who calls himself a Christian to [05:40] embrace the quote unquote Palestinian [05:43] narrative is just suicide. [05:48] No, I know. And I I wanted to say that I [05:51] think Jesus quoted the Old Testament [05:52] nearly 80 times and that shows the and [05:55] of course Jesus taught in the in the [05:57] synagogue. Um that shows that I think [06:00] that concept of giving honor to what's [06:03] come before you and respect to what's [06:05] come before you. Um and Jesus showed [06:08] that uh time and time again. But where [06:12] this is this a is what we see today a [06:17] anger or hatred against Jews or is it a [06:21] fear of Islam? Um how do you how do you [06:24] see it? Because we see some of our [06:26] leaders petrified of saying anything [06:29] that might get their head chopped off. [06:31] Therefore they bring in Islamophobia, [06:33] blasphemy laws and all the other side. [06:36] Um, and there's kind of a focus on that [06:39] and the small Jewish community certainly [06:41] in the UK and London in North London [06:43] that gets smaller and smaller is just [06:45] left to the side and you deal with it. [06:47] We're going to focus. So, is it is it [06:50] about a hatred or is it about a fear? [06:53] >> Well, I think when you're talking about [06:54] the politicians themselves, it's [06:56] probably about a fear because these are [06:58] not people with u, you know, with real [07:01] values. These are I mean these [07:02] politicians are just feckless people who [07:04] want to stay in power and they think [07:06] that if they you know that appeasement [07:08] is the way to go and they want to be [07:09] able to show their face at the cocktail [07:10] parties with their with their other [07:12] progressive friends and and and be [07:14] politically correct on the world stage [07:16] and the people at the World Economic [07:17] Forum will like them and this is what [07:20] they're interested in. So that's just I [07:22] mean that's not serious. [07:24] What I I think the real [07:28] when we talk about uh u you know the [07:31] real problem of ideological rot or [07:34] confusion I'm talking more about the [07:36] people people who get swept up in this [07:38] who buy into this who buy into the idea [07:39] that Zionism is racism who buy into the [07:42] idea that the Jewish people do not have [07:45] rights to the Jewish homeland in Judea [07:48] and Samaria and and and Jerusalem. you [07:51] know, they when people buy into that, [07:54] they, you know, the uh the idea that [07:56] that the quoteunquote Palestinians are [07:58] indigenous and they just simply don't [07:59] know basic history that there was a that [08:01] there was a Muslim conquest of the [08:04] Levant that took place in the seventh [08:05] and eth centuries where they slaughtered [08:07] the Christian populations there and took [08:09] over and that's that was the colonialism [08:12] that is colonialism and and genocide. [08:16] The colonialism and genocide in the [08:17] Middle East is the slaughter of [08:19] Christian communities and the [08:21] colonization by Muslim Arabs of Egypt [08:25] and Syria and what is today Jordan and [08:28] Iraq and and the land of Israel in the [08:31] Ottoman Empire. And that that's you know [08:33] ultimately the Ottoman Empire was the [08:34] ultimate you know expression of that [08:36] colonialism and the return of the Jewish [08:39] people to the land of Israel to [08:41] reconstitute ourselves as a nation state [08:42] in our homeland is the opposite of [08:45] colonialism. It's the throwing off of [08:47] the yoke of colonialism. So again back [08:50] to the point about Zionism is racism [08:53] you know anyone who says that is is [08:55] really [08:57] at look attacks on the Jews always come [09:01] before attacks on Christians the Muslims [09:03] even have an expression for this first [09:05] the Saturday people then the Sunday [09:07] people and this is a graffiti that [09:08] appears all over the Muslim world it's a [09:10] slogan that they chant and you know or [09:13] sometimes people say the Jews are the [09:15] canary in the coal mine first they come [09:16] for the Jews then they come for the [09:17] Christians that's the way it goes. And [09:20] the same is true here. Zionism is [09:22] racism. Okay. What you're basically [09:24] saying is that [09:27] the Jewish nation doesn't really exist [09:29] as a nation that has rights to its own [09:31] homeland. [09:33] Look, [09:35] there is a new anti-semitism that has [09:37] come up in the Christian world that [09:41] never existed before a few decades ago. [09:43] A new type of a brand new flavor of [09:45] anti-semitism. And I've written about [09:47] this. I've talked about it many times [09:50] and that is this this growing popular [09:54] idea that the Jewish people of today [09:57] aren't the Jews of the Bible. [10:00] I think we talked about this once [10:01] before, Peter, but it's worth repeating. [10:03] This idea that the Jews today aren't the [10:04] Jews of the Bible. And what's so [10:06] fascinating about that, I remember the [10:07] first time I encountered it and I was [10:09] just like, "Oh, that's such a strange [10:10] claim." It didn't bother me. Again, you [10:13] have to understand most Jews [10:16] when when anti-semites throw all sorts [10:18] of accusations at us, it doesn't make us [10:20] feel bad because we know that it's [10:21] nonsense. I mean, we kind of feel bad [10:23] for the people saying it and we want to [10:25] stay out of their way so they don't harm [10:26] us, but the anti-semites tend to think [10:28] that they're intimidating us or that [10:29] we're going to, you know, uh, you feel [10:31] guilty. It it doesn't work that way. [10:33] It's it it it fails if that's the goal. [10:37] But I remember I first heard this claim [10:39] that the Jews of today aren't the aren't [10:40] the real Jews. And I was like, okay, [10:42] there's two interesting things about [10:43] that claim. Number one, it's extremely [10:46] easy to refute, and the people who say [10:48] it have no idea how easy it is to [10:50] refute. [10:52] The second strange thing about it is [10:55] that all of the uh Jewhating authors [11:00] throughout Christian history, and there [11:01] were plenty of them, and I'm not going [11:03] to get I'm not going to get all [11:04] anacronistic and say, "Oh, you know, [11:05] Luther was an anti-semit. Luther hated [11:07] Jews, but it made sense in his time." I [11:09] I don't I don't begrudge him that. He [11:11] looked around him and he saw the Jewish [11:13] people in a in a perpetual exile and he [11:16] just and they weren't accepting Jesus [11:18] and they and he didn't he didn't embrace [11:20] the idea that they would ever return to [11:21] their land. He had accepted the you know [11:24] the replacement theology that he had [11:25] been trained on. I don't blame him for [11:27] that and he did a lot of good things [11:28] too. So I I'm not weighing in on that. [11:31] That's anacronistic. Everyone was [11:34] everyone was a racist back in the day. I [11:35] mean I'm not going to I'm not going to [11:37] go there. That's silly. [11:39] But no matter how much Luther hated the [11:42] Jews, and he wrote a whole book called [11:43] On the Jews and their lies about his [11:45] hatred of the Jews, advocated for [11:47] burning of synagogues and not allowing [11:49] Jews to use the roads. I mean, it was he [11:52] was he really did not like us and many [11:53] others. There many Christian thinkers [11:55] throughout history who were who didn't [11:57] like the Jews very much, including [12:00] Augustine. [12:01] But none of them ever claimed that the [12:04] Jews of their time weren't the real [12:06] Jews. That was never that was never [12:09] something anti-semmites claimed. [12:14] Why? So why did this brand new claim [12:16] just show up a few decades ago? Really? [12:19] It's it's it's not even it's barely a [12:21] few decades ago. It's a very recent [12:22] claim. There was always some fringe [12:24] weirdos who thought that like, you know, [12:26] the Jews are all converts from some [12:28] strange kingdom, which doesn't make any [12:30] sense because the majority of Jews in [12:31] the world are from Sphartic Arab [12:33] countries anyway that has nothing to do [12:34] with that. Uh, so it's it's all silly [12:37] and like, you know, or people look at [12:38] Israel and think it's some European [12:40] colonial Jewish project when the [12:42] majority of Jews in Israel are actually [12:45] refugees from the Arab world uh from [12:48] from places like Iraq and Morocco and [12:50] and uh and Yemen and other places like [12:53] that. So whatever that's all that's all [12:55] just nonsense. People there are people [12:57] who believe that. You've met them. I've [12:58] met them who who believe that the Jews [13:00] aren't the real Jews. But this is all a [13:02] very recent phenomena.
