Transcript [00:00] In 2023, the UN said a quarter of Gaza's [00:02] population was starving. In 2024, the UN [00:05] accused Israel of causing famine. In [00:07] 2025, the UN claimed that there was [00:09] irrefutable evidence of famine in Gaza. [00:11] And in 2026, a new report from that same [00:14] UN body proves that all of those claims [00:17] were bogus. According to the survey, [00:18] acute malnutrition across Gaza ranged [00:21] from 0.2% to 0.8%, which is not only [00:24] comparable or lower to the 0.8% before [00:27] the war, it's significantly lower than [00:29] neighboring Arab countries like Egypt, [00:31] Jordan, and Syria, and even some Western [00:33] countries like Germany and Finland, [00:35] which not only proves that there is no [00:36] famine in Gaza and that Israel wasn't [00:39] starving Gazans, but that the UN reports [00:41] that claimed they were were [00:43] Remember the UN-backed IPC report that [00:46] declared famine in Gaza in 2025 and the [00:48] media outlets and NGOs that regurgitated [00:50] those claims? Right. The IPC is the body [00:53] used to classify famine, and it has [00:55] specific thresholds that have to be met. [00:57] In the 2025 report, the IPC literally [01:00] changed those parameters in order to [01:01] claim Gaza was in a famine. For [01:03] instance, one famine benchmark is two [01:06] starvation-related deaths per 10,000 [01:08] people per day. Based on those figures, [01:10] there would have been 1,450 [01:12] starvation-related deaths in Gaza every [01:14] single week. But Hamas reported 313 [01:17] starvation-related deaths in the span of [01:19] two years. Horrible, yes, but not a [01:22] famine. The IPC initially tested 15,000 [01:25] kids for malnutrition and found that 12% [01:27] of them were malnourished, which was [01:29] below the 15% famine threshold. So, [01:32] instead, they used a smaller sample of [01:33] 7,000 kids, showing 16% malnutrition [01:37] rates, and that's what became the case [01:38] for famine. There's so much more on the [01:40] questionable methodology, the altered [01:42] standards, and the biased authors of the [01:44] report. But here's the bigger picture. [01:45] By December 2023, the UN was warning [01:47] Gaza was at risk of famine. By 2024, the [01:50] UN said famine was imminent. By August [01:52] 2025, it said famine was occurring, [01:55] despite the data proving the exact [01:58] opposite. The UN wasn't trying to [01:59] protect Gazans by declaring a famine [02:01] that didn't exist. They manipulated the [02:03] data and repeatedly pushed the false [02:05] famine narrative under the legitimacy of [02:07] the UN that cast Israel as guilty of one [02:10] of the gravest crimes imaginable, [02:12] deliberately starving civilians [02:14] including children. [02:17] >> [music]
For years, the UN said Gaza was starving, and Israel was singularly to blame.
In 2023, it warned of mass starvation.
In 2024, famine was “imminent.”
By 2025, the UN-backed IPC said famine was happening.
Now, new UN data shows acute malnutrition across Gaza at 0.2% to 0.8%, comparable to or below pre-war levels, and lower than neighboring Arab countries like Egypt and Jordan.
Those famine claims were used to accuse Israel of deliberately starving civilians, despite questionable methodology, shifting thresholds, and data that did not support the claims.
Which raises the question: if there was never a famine in Gaza, why was the UN so invested in falsifying one?
