Transcript [00:00] Suddenly two terrorists started shooting [00:02] up the community members and the [00:05] celebrants just shooting them. Boom boom [00:08] boom. A room that every single [music] [00:10] person there will jump on the terrorists [00:13] to stop the terror attack will be a very [00:15] dangerous room for any terrorist. [00:17] >> Chad GPT was telling you the way to deal [00:20] with terrorism is [music] to hide your [00:22] Jewishness. [00:24] Anti-semitism is a byproduct of Jewish [00:27] weakness. Smash [snorts] the bad guys. [00:30] People will respect you. People will [00:31] fear you. There'll be less [00:32] anti-semitism. All right folks, Fleer [00:34] here. Bondi Beach, Australia, one of the [00:37] most beautiful beaches in the world. And [00:38] every year the Jewish community of [00:40] Sydney comes down to the beach and has a [00:42] beautiful event there. Hanukkah [00:44] lighting. Everybody comes in, regulars, [00:46] irregulars, everybody comes together on [00:48] the beach to light Hanukkah candles. [00:50] What a beautiful uh community event. [00:52] This year though, things went a little [00:53] bit different. Suddenly, two terrorists, [00:56] I think it was a father and son, uh [00:58] started shooting up slowly, taking aim [01:01] at all the uh community members and the [01:04] celebrants, just shooting at them. Boom, [01:07] boom, boom. Hiding on a bridge and just [01:10] plucking them off uh in a horrible [01:13] bloodletting that we saw. We also saw [01:15] great heroism that took place on the [01:17] beach there as well. 15 people were left [01:20] dead, murdered. Uh, we saw also a very [01:24] slow response from the Australian [01:26] authorities, including the police and [01:28] whatever security services they had [01:29] there. From our Israeli perspective, it [01:31] looked like a joke. That's the truth. [01:33] Uh, I also spoke uh with uh first [01:35] responders from Israel who flew out [01:37] there. They told me horrible things. [01:40] They told me that the Australian police [01:42] was very hard to deal with. They told me [01:44] that bodies lay the beach for a long [01:46] time until they were finally taken off [01:48] that beach. And that got me thinking [01:51] about how do we secure the Jewish [01:54] communities abroad. We think a lot about [01:56] national security here. But national is [01:59] not just the state of Israel, but it's [02:00] the Jewish people. That's our nation. [02:04] National security. Yay. Ansbacher is my [02:06] guest. Dr. Ansbacher is a national [02:09] security expert [02:11] uh and author. We've had him on the show [02:13] before. and he reached out to me a few [02:15] weeks ago and he said to me, "Yes, we [02:17] got to talk about community security of [02:20] Jews around the world." And I thought to [02:23] myself, he's right. And so this show [02:25] today is not just, you know, [02:26] intellectual fun. This is actually [02:28] trying to help make sure that Jews [02:31] around the world are safe. Thank you so [02:33] much for bringing this topic to my [02:34] attention. [02:35] >> Thank you. Yish. It's a privilege and [02:38] honor to be here again. [02:40] >> Okay, first thing is uh consciousness. [02:42] Before we get to the issue of physical [02:45] security, [02:46] >> right, [02:46] >> it's consciousness. [02:47] >> Uh, do Jews need to change their [02:50] attitude? Do they have to Is there a [02:52] wake up moment? Is there an aha moment [02:54] that hasn't happened yet? Uh, is there [02:56] is there an understanding around Jewish [02:58] communities? If it's in major Jewish [03:00] communities like New York or if it's in [03:03] more outlined communities uh around the [03:05] world and even in America, there's more [03:07] outlined communities. Has the, as we say [03:09] in Hebrew, has the Asimon draft. Okay. [03:11] Did they get it? that that's an Israeli [03:13] slang for like did you get it? Uh is [03:15] there a consciousness change or does one [03:17] still need to happen? [03:18] >> So I think the answer is depend on every [03:21] specific place in community and [03:23] community leader. I've been in the last [03:25] two years in like I don't know maybe 50 [03:28] or 60 different communities around the [03:30] world in US in in Europe in some other [03:32] places also and every place is [03:34] different. This is why I think our [03:36] conversation cannot deal only with or [03:39] deal at all with the with the tactical [03:41] stuff, [03:41] >> right? [03:42] >> Uh is the door strong enough uh to hold [03:46] against 9 mm? Is it thick enough? Is it [03:51] good to pray with synagogue full of [03:53] windows? All those microtactic questions [03:56] are very important. And actually I'm at [03:58] the moment I'm I'm doing some process of [04:01] of u giving some consult on those [04:03] issues. consultation. [04:04] >> Yeah. To communities around the world. [04:06] That's that's one thing. But I think we [04:08] should talk about the philosophy, [04:09] >> right? [04:09] >> And I I want to start with that. [04:12] >> Uh it's a it's a huge present. We were [04:14] talking about that in in the in the last [04:16] uh conversation. It's it's a huge [04:18] present that we got from Hashem and that [04:21] we have the Israeli state now. It's not [04:24] only a place, it's actually a state of [04:26] mind. It's [04:28] >> the fact that the Israel [04:29] >> Israel, it's not only a place, it's a [04:30] state of mind. [04:31] >> Yeah. It's it's it's a it's a a way of [04:34] of thinking about Jewish life. And the [04:37] Jewish life is not anymore, you know, [04:40] you can't [04:41] >> I have to translate that a a uh uh sheep [04:44] to the slaughter. [04:45] >> Sheep to the slaughter. We we we need [04:47] and and we are for the last a little [04:50] more than 70 years standing uh and [04:53] protecting, you know, our communities, [04:54] our families. So, we need to change [04:57] something. This thing is already there. [04:59] the the the new Jewish uh genetics, the [05:02] new Jewish DNA is there because of the [05:04] Israeli state and it was lost for [05:07] thousands of years. And when I'm saying [05:10] people can, you know, lose me for a [05:12] moment. What is this guy talking about? [05:13] I want to be very specific. I had a huge [05:16] conversation. It's an it was actually an [05:18] argument with with the with the ched GPT [05:21] on the way here. [05:22] >> Okay. So, you had you had a you had a [05:24] very modern situation. You had an [05:25] argument with AI. Okay. [05:27] >> Yeah. It was amazing because I I want to [05:29] know what's his uh I've never argued [05:31] with a [05:32] >> No, you should. It's actually very [05:34] annoying, but but it's very interesting [05:36] because you have to think and this this [05:38] guy is smart, but he's he's wrong on on [05:41] this topic, the next topic. We were [05:43] talking about terror attacks against [05:45] Jewish communities around the world. And [05:46] I was looking for his advice. I said, [05:47] "Okay, I want to I want to talk to the [05:49] people. I want to give some advices. [05:50] What do you say?" And he was saying, [05:53] "Yeah, you should hide. You should duck [05:55] in cover. You should look for a safe [05:57] place and and and I was asking what [06:00] about what about engaging? What about [06:02] you know confronting the you can check [06:04] it. I mean if they will not change [06:06] >> the algorithm [06:07] >> the algorithm until this thing comes to [06:09] you guys you can change you can check [06:12] it. [06:12] >> So so so Chad GPT was telling you like [06:15] the way to deal with terrorism is to [06:18] hide your Jewishness. [06:20] >> No he was not speaking about Jewishness [06:22] your identity. [06:23] >> Just hide. No no just hide. He was [06:25] talking about physical thing, you know, [06:26] just hide, spread and hide. And I was [06:28] asking but [06:30] >> that is not the Israel. [06:31] >> Doesn't make sense. It's not the Israeli [06:32] way, but it's not only because it's the [06:34] Israeli way. It's not it's wrong for so [06:36] many reasons. We will talk about it. But [06:37] he was saying [06:38] >> even from a tactical point of view, [06:39] >> it's the legal thing. It's the safe [06:41] thing. And I was saying, yeah, but [06:43] statistically, if a guy like what [06:47] happened in Australia, two guys with [06:48] some shotguns, by the way, very [06:49] primitive weapons, very primitive terror [06:52] attack. That was not [06:53] >> weapons. Let me tell you, shotguns work [06:55] quite well, don't they? [06:56] >> No, no, no. They're doesn't mean they're [06:58] not effective. Just there's nothing [07:00] fancy, nothing sophisticated, [07:02] >> right? They didn't have fancy science. [07:03] >> Everybody was talking in Australia about [07:05] Yeah. We're going to do some regulations [07:07] about these are are hunting weapons. [07:10] Every every hunter can use them. They [07:11] can get them. It's very simple. And as [07:13] you said, they use them very slowly but [07:15] very effective. Nobody [07:17] >> if nobody challenged them. [07:18] >> Nobody challenged them. Now [07:19] >> for a long time. [07:20] >> Yeah. Now in uh I remember that [07:22] >> it was it was like a it was what they [07:23] call in America duck shoot. [07:24] >> Exactly. [07:25] >> It was a duck shoot. [07:25] >> Now there were [07:26] >> and I don't of course I just stop. I [07:28] just want to say I'm not in any way [07:30] belittling the heroism the [07:34] we're just talking about the [07:35] effectiveness of and the effective way [07:38] to deal with terrorists. That's what [07:39] we're doing. Of course we're honoring [07:40] everybody uh all those casualties. [07:43] >> Casualties and and there were heroes of [07:44] course heroes. Absolutely. So what I'm [07:47] saying is I remember that in 2015 there [07:50] were two uh different terror attacks on [07:53] the same time parallel in France. Don't [07:55] know if you remember there were two guys [07:57] with AK-47s actually automatic rifles [08:00] and they were like wandering in the [08:02] streets of Paris and there were sh I [08:04] think they got something like 200 people [08:07] wounded and dead. They they they they [08:10] were running for two hours or something [08:12] and nobody deal with it. Everybody was [08:14] like and in Israel in the same year we [08:16] had what we call God Sha. It was uh like [08:20] uh inif of the knives. You remember [08:22] >> the knife in? [08:22] >> Yeah. I was living in East Jerusalem. [08:24] We're in Jerusalem right now. I was in [08:26] eastern Jerusalem on on the Mount of [08:28] Olives. That's where I was living. I was [08:29] dealing with that like this. Okay. [08:31] >> You saw [08:32] >> it was it was streets. We were in the [08:34] streets. Yeah. [08:35] >> Okay. So the the sporadic attack could [08:38] have come from everywhere. Anywhere. [08:40] every person could have been, you know, [08:41] a terrorist, potential terrorist. And [08:43] and what the the amazing thing about [08:45] that in Israel, the statistics were were [08:48] amazing. [08:49] >> Every attack more or less were stopped [08:52] by civilians [08:54] >> after something like between 15 seconds [08:57] and 2 minutes. That's it, [08:59] >> right? [08:59] >> Those guys in Paris were wandering for [09:02] two hours. Here in Israel, you can shout [09:04] alakbar. You can start an attack and [09:06] then after 2 minutes, you're down. [09:08] Doesn't matter what you managed to do, [09:10] what you managed to pull, how many [09:11] damage you did. I was trying to explain [09:14] to Mr. Chad GPT this idea. I told him, [09:16] listen, the entire idea of terror is the [09:19] idea of asymmetrical warfare. The the [09:22] few [09:22] >> asymmetrical warfare, non-ymmetrical [09:24] warfare. [09:24] >> That's right. A few is damaging by using [09:28] shock and o terror terrorizing the the [09:30] the Moore. It's a small group of people [09:34] uh using tariff the few frightening the [09:37] many [09:37] >> the many and then they can they can play [09:39] with it. I mean, just think about this [09:42] modern catastrophe of of 911, right? [09:45] America was was thrown into the maybe [09:48] the most expensive war and and the [09:51] largest war it was called many years ago [09:54] uh three billion dollar war trillion [09:56] dollar or something 20 years of the [09:58] global war against terror since uh since [10:00] what happened in in in in Manhattan. Who [10:03] did that? Some 10 people with some [10:06] pocket knives, you know. I wrote a an [10:08] article about that. uh part of my PhD. [10:10] It's called the utility knife effect. [10:13] You can use just a Japanese knife, what [10:15] we call in Hebrew, and you can use you [10:17] can you can create a a strategic [10:19] disaster. How you do that? You're using [10:21] terror. You're shocking and you're [10:23] frightening everybody. And everybody on [10:25] the planes were like, "Oh, no, no, no, [10:26] no. These guys are the exactly opposite [10:30] thing should h should happen. Engage. [10:32] You should engage. The moment you engage [10:34] the terrorists, doesn't matter." And [10:36] then of course the CHP said, "No, but [10:38] it's not safe." I said, "But it's the [10:41] opposite." The statistics say that [10:43] exactly the opposite. If you're [10:44] stopping, if you're blocking, even if [10:46] you what you call um this um shabesh [10:51] like screwing up, [10:52] >> screwing up with him every messing his [10:55] messing up his his [10:56] >> terror attack is is is something very [10:58] short. Most of them are very short. And [11:00] we're talking about a golden it's not [11:02] even a golden hour. Some golden moments. [11:04] And the philosophy should be and that's [11:06] the Israeli way. It's not it's not uh [11:09] the the old Jewish, it's the modern [11:12] Israeli. [11:12] >> That's what you meant by state of mind, [11:14] right? [11:14] >> You should go and engage. The moment you [11:15] engage, doesn't matter what happened, [11:17] you you're stopping, you're blocking, [11:19] you're rupting, and you're you're making [11:21] you're saving lives, right? [11:23] >> And the Chad GPT was was fighting was [11:26] was arguing against [11:27] >> because because the the I mean that is [11:30] kind of surprising. In the end of the [11:31] conversation, I said I don't believe [11:33] >> why why would Chad GPT be in such [11:35] defensive mode? [11:36] >> So he said he said it's because you're [11:38] telling me in the end of the [11:39] conversation we had like 10 minutes of [11:41] conversation arguing. He said you [11:44] believe that the life of the collective [11:47] is more important than the life of the [11:49] individual. Right. [11:50] >> So in the end was a philosophical uh [11:52] conversation between us. Well, there's [11:54] no question that the hidden um the the [11:58] hidden trait that you're talking about [12:00] at the end is courage. [12:03] >> Yeah. [12:04] >> It's often a fanatic. [12:06] >> It's in a room that every single person [12:09] there will jump on a terrorists and try [12:13] to to you know to disarm him to neutral [12:15] and and and to to to stop the terror [12:18] attack will be a very dangerous room for [12:20] any terrorist. [12:21] >> Right. It's it's it's uh and and this is [12:24] what we need to do about about the way [12:27] we should prepare the communities around [12:30] the world. [12:30] >> One one great example for that is armed [12:33] ultraorththodox Jews. That's right. [12:35] Okay. That's a very good example because [12:36] you had uh the famous and awful [12:40] terrorist attack in Harov, an [12:42] ultraorththodox community. [12:44] >> Five died. [12:44] >> Yeah. A lot. And these horrible images [12:47] of Jews being slaughtered in a [12:49] synagogue. You know, you saw the tal and [12:51] the and the books and the blood and it [12:54] was just like it was the kind of images [12:56] that Israelis uh uh uh it throws it's [12:59] it's the [12:59] >> it's back there in in our Jewish heads [13:02] the memory the Jewish memory sense I [13:04] don't know since [13:05] >> but then there was a terror attack not [13:07] so long ago in the remote in Jerusalem [13:10] at the at the bus station [13:12] >> right in the junction [13:13] >> at the junction and what you had was [13:14] ultraorth ultra orthodox guy chasing him [13:17] down with a weapon right [13:19] >> and with IDF tactics with tactics it was [13:22] clear that this guy was just not not [13:24] just had a gun [13:25] >> but was using the the tactics that we [13:28] studied he had the knowledge it was it [13:29] was obvious [13:30] >> so [13:31] >> so so meaning to say there's courage but [13:33] there's also the tactical training [13:35] >> there's courage and there's knowledge [13:36] >> right there's courage and there's [13:37] knowledge [13:37] >> as as as much as you prepare yourself [13:40] your war and and you have the [13:41] imagination and that's maybe the first [13:43] thing the first rule in preparing ourel [13:45] our communities our people uh in Israel [13:48] and and in diaspora all over the world [13:50] doesn't matter and that's don't think [13:53] and don't say it will never happen to [13:55] me. prepare yourself, prepare your [13:57] community, prepare your family, and then [13:59] if, god forbidden, something is [14:00] happening, [14:01] >> you say, "Okay, okay, this is what we [14:04] we've been waiting for." It's it's it's [14:06] a big change, you know, for many people. [14:07] People I was in many places in many [14:10] communities, they were like, [14:11] >> "Ah, see that's that and I want I want [14:13] to hear this. This is what I want to [14:15] hear." Exactly. That's what I started [14:16] asking you. I started asking you, you're [14:18] an [14:21] mind change. So you've been to [14:23] communities where people said that [14:24] they're not into that, right? [14:26] >> Yeah. [14:26] >> I once was giving speeches. [14:28] >> More than that, you they made me feel [14:30] that you guys from Israel, you're [14:32] bringing that with you. [14:34] >> Don't talk about those issues. [14:36] >> It's very peaceful. It's very quiet. [14:38] Here we here we in Australia, we don't [14:40] talk about those issues. 1929 in [14:44] >> uh the Palmach came uh one of the strike [14:47] strike forces is the first Israeli [14:50] defense strike force. It came to the [14:52] Jewish community and they said you need [14:53] our protection. And what the Jewish [14:55] community there said was not only do we [14:58] not need you guys, you guys are actually [15:00] starting the problem. And they forced [15:02] them to leave. And then there was the [15:04] horrific 1929 riots where Jews had no [15:06] ability to defend themselves against the [15:08] the jihadist mob. [15:10] >> And why do the Palm got to Kevron in 21? [15:14] Because in 20 there was riots. There was [15:17] a massacre in Jerusalem. And there six [15:21] Jews were killed, by the way, next to my [15:24] uh grandparents hotel in in just the [15:27] center of Jerusalem. And there were no [15:30] Israeli uh there were no soldiers then, [15:32] but no police uh and and nobody the [15:34] Brits uh held the the the old city gates [15:37] and they didn't let the Jews get in. And [15:40] then Jabotinsky and all of those people [15:42] said, "We need to change something." [15:44] That was the year that the Hagana was [15:45] born [15:46] >> a year before. So the palm or or the [15:48] hagana is coming to these guys and [15:50] they're saying listen we already know [15:52] something change you need to change you [15:54] need to understand and you need to feel [15:56] and sense that there is something in the [15:57] atmosphere that is changing well we see [15:59] that there is change inside the [16:01] ultraorththodox I just want to give you [16:02] one more small example my son goes to a [16:05] certain school uh not far from from [16:07] where I live but he he said to me abba I [16:10] feel like the school isn't organized [16:13] uh for security and I want to create a [16:15] squad with the with my high school [16:17] friends [16:19] >> for defense even for escape but we want [16:21] to have a plan [16:22] >> perfect [16:22] >> we have a want to have a defense plan [16:24] and I was very happy and that's that's [16:25] exactly what you're talking about [16:26] >> he was he was starting the preparation [16:28] by by by by by thinking about that [16:30] >> that's right that's it [16:31] >> that's right [16:32] >> and this is what I mean that's the basic [16:33] >> but but you did hear from communities [16:35] who told you you're bringing your you [16:37] said your your Israeli problems [16:39] >> yeah your attitude this attitude right [16:42] >> you guys are not I mean you're welcome [16:44] you're always welcome but don't bring [16:45] this attitude with Okay. Okay. [16:47] >> But there is communities now that are [16:48] reaching out to you and asking for uh [16:51] for for [16:52] >> advice. [16:53] >> Advice. Yeah. And I'm I'm not at the [16:56] moment not uh we don't need much more [16:58] because what we understand [17:01] uh that every community has its own not [17:06] only culture and not only c cultural [17:08] environment and atmosphere but also uh [17:11] way of of doing things. And of course [17:14] there are the the internal politics and [17:16] everything the you know every community [17:17] is a world but you can do a lot if you [17:21] just open your eyes. You know I was in a [17:23] in a place in Florida whatever um they [17:26] have I I mentioned that they have a [17:28] beautiful synagogue but all the walls [17:30] are just glass. [17:31] >> Mhm. [17:32] >> Just just glass. It's beautiful. But I [17:34] told him listen after the pray you know [17:36] just went to the rabbi alone. I said [17:37] listen you see the road from here it's [17:40] 50 mters from here. That's That's not [17:42] even the R. I mean, it's half the range [17:44] of an assault rifle, [17:46] >> right? [17:47] >> And he said, "Yeah, but I said, I'm not [17:49] saying anything. It's your place, but [17:51] you need to understand that from there [17:52] to here, this is [17:54] >> just a driveby. [17:55] >> It's a range. [17:55] >> It's a driveby. Yeah, it's a duck shoot. [17:57] >> It's a duck shoot, [17:58] >> right? [clears throat] But I'm saying [17:59] you just drive by. [18:00] >> So, what can I do?" I said, "I don't [18:01] know, but just think. You can start with [18:04] curtains. You can you can do something [18:06] on the road. Maybe some just think. I [18:09] don't I don't want you to do anything. I [18:10] just want to think and then he started [18:12] to say you know what he said they [18:14] actually offered me something from the [18:16] government. Um they said maybe [18:20] uh some some uh budget for for um [18:25] prepare for emergency or something which [18:26] is which is a governmental thing federal [18:29] >> FEMA [18:29] >> he said whatever he said maybe I can use [18:31] I said oh you see you're thinking you [18:34] don't need me anymore you just think but [18:36] now now I want to ask you we started [18:38] with philosophy let's get back to it for [18:40] a second [18:40] >> yes [18:41] >> somebody could say [18:44] that what you're talking about [18:46] you're talking about Israeliness, a kind [18:48] of pride to kind of engage the bad guy. [18:50] But one person can say the opposite. He [18:52] could say, "What you're talking about is [18:54] a defensive posture. What you're talking [18:56] about is hiding behind walls. What [18:59] you're talking about is is is a scary [19:02] world out there. Instead of big proud [19:04] Jew lighting the minora in Paris and [19:07] everywhere, you're saying get behind a [19:09] more defensive attitude." [19:11] >> No, I'm not saying that. I'm saying [19:13] listen there is a big conversation that [19:16] we didn't do maybe that we should start [19:19] with and that's the big conversation [19:21] about the Jewish communities around the [19:23] world and in Israel and and the [19:25] relationship you know a lot of Israeli [19:27] they say I don't understand what's the [19:29] problem they should come to Israel [19:32] >> but after being [19:33] >> as in as in leave make aliyah [19:35] >> yeah just leave what are we talking [19:36] about here [19:36] >> I mean and there are some places where I [19:38] am I I do say that sometimes for example [19:40] Ukraine [19:42] Uh and and maybe I don't I don't think [19:44] I'm going to say this here. I don't [19:45] think that the Australian government is [19:47] going to defend its Jews properly. [19:48] >> Yeah. But people can say the same idea [19:50] the same the same thought about New [19:52] York. [laughter] [19:53] >> Who knows? [19:53] >> There might be a change in New York. [19:55] >> Yeah. So what my answer is ideology [19:58] speaking and and I'm saying that with no [20:01] uh I mean uh with no shame. You should [20:03] say that every Jew on earth should think [20:06] about the Israel and they they know it. [20:09] People know it. And there some people [20:10] say, you know what, we'll wait for the [20:12] right day and and it's okay. It's there. [20:15] That's the mitzvah of coming. [20:17] But and the Rebavich sends messengers to [20:21] all over the the world. Why why did he [20:22] do that? He understand that there is a [20:24] Jewish life and Jews living all over the [20:26] world and and they're doing they're [20:28] living in in beautiful communities doing [20:30] a lot of amazing things all and we need [20:32] that God Almighty wanted that to happen. [20:34] So after understanding that and that's [20:36] the situation as we are speaking now and [20:39] we're not going to change that we need [20:41] to give them the best [20:44] um preparation [20:45] >> right [20:46] >> in order for them not only listen [20:49] right what did he wrote [20:51] >> you're talking about in the book of [20:52] Esther scroll of Esther [20:54] >> he got one option you know that it's [20:56] actually amazing it's an amazing reading [20:59] uh um Akash ver didn't want to change [21:02] the decree right after everything [21:04] Hammani is already dead, [21:06] >> right? There's a decree against the Jews [21:07] >> and and they and Esther is coming to to [21:10] and he's cry she's crying. I know the [21:12] decree [21:12] >> and we are already happy because you [21:14] know Haman is dead and everybody's like [21:15] want to to go to the fist and and that's [21:17] it you know but but nobody even noticed [21:20] that decree is there [21:21] >> right [21:21] >> and it's coming and the king said ah I I [21:24] can't do it whatever when you seal [21:26] >> whatever is written and sealed that's [21:28] the way it is the law cannot be amended [21:30] >> why is everybody happy why is everybody [21:32] celebrating before the war even started [21:35] and then Modai got only one option said [21:38] so what can we do he said take the ring [21:40] and you can write whatever you want and [21:42] and to sign. [21:43] >> You could write a counter decree. [21:45] >> That's maybe the most important letter [21:47] in Jewish history. If we had a museum of [21:50] those amazing items of Jewish history, [21:52] that will be the a respect respectful [21:55] honor place. What was on the letter? He [21:58] wrote that the Jews have the permission. [22:03] That's the message [22:04] >> to gather and to stand to defend their [22:06] souls. [22:07] >> Yes. You would say, "So, so what? What's [22:11] the difference? It's such a defensive [22:13] thing. Now, if you manage to unite your [22:18] community, your family, your synagogue, [22:21] your sh whatever, and you guys are [22:23] preparing, you become something much [22:25] stronger than you think. It's not [22:27] defensive. You became a movement. [22:30] Something is moving. By the way, that's [22:31] the beginning. Your kid did that in his [22:34] school. He started a small squad of of [22:36] people who care. That's right. And they [22:38] were looking and they were starting to. [22:40] So it's is this you're absolutely right. [22:42] That's what I'm saying. You said it very [22:43] well. Prepare yourself and then you're [22:45] not afraid. You're and then people will [22:47] afraid. You know what? What's the [22:48] miracle of the miracles of of purim? Why [22:51] is everybody uh disguising themselves, [22:53] right? Why why why there is no a single [22:56] verse in in the in the talk about that? [22:59] >> Because the most amazing verse is [23:06] right. It's been [23:07] >> the the the many of the non-Jews of the [23:10] Gentiles of the land became Jewish [23:12] because the fear [23:13] >> not really became Jews, [23:14] >> right? They became pro-Jewish, pro- [23:17] Israel. They said, [23:18] >> "I don't want to mess with them, [23:19] >> right?" Or or they became more pro one [23:21] way or the other because the fear of the [23:23] Jews came upon them. And by the way, I [23:25] want to say something to you which is um [23:27] there's a lot of talk right now in the [23:29] Jewish world about anti-semitism. I [23:32] think I'm going to an event at uh at [23:33] Asia Shiva on Wednesday night about [23:35] anti-semitism, anti-semitism. I keep [23:38] trying to say to people, your whole and [23:40] they're like, "How do we combat [23:41] anti-semitism?" I keep on saying to [23:43] them, I have a small mantra. It's so [23:46] simple to remember, anti-semitism is a [23:50] byproduct of Jewish weakness. [23:52] >> That's right. [23:53] >> I I totally agree. [23:54] >> Smash the bad guys. People will respect [23:56] you. People will fear you. There'll be [23:57] less anti-semitism. [23:59] >> Apologizing, explaining. You don't have [24:01] to explain anything. Just tell him off. [24:04] >> I don't think we need to be provocative [24:06] and we need to look for trouble. We're [24:08] not. But we should be proud. [24:10] >> All right. And that's Gonakov. [24:11] >> Gonov. That's the the the the the pride [24:14] of of Jacob. Last question. [24:18] >> You've mentioned the Labav Sharbi. Uh [24:21] one of the most overt targets out there [24:23] is the Kabad communities or the Kabad. [24:26] >> Yeah, I thought about that. In the last [24:27] couple of years, we lost several [24:30] shifting around the world. [24:30] >> So we had we had of course the Mumbai [24:32] attack and now we had the Bandai attack [24:35] and I think there were others as well. [24:36] >> There was another that's right the in [24:39] the UAE. Yeah. Dr. Dr. Hansbach was [24:42] mentioning that's right. Uh so these [24:44] guys are very overt Jews. Uh they look [24:47] overt. They're often times the leaders [24:49] of the more outlying communities. Uh and [24:51] and they are under attack. you know, [24:53] Kabad houses um ostensibly some of them [24:57] have a more Israel kind of mindset of [24:59] strength and defense. Not all of them. [25:01] Some of them are like, "No, we're here [25:02] and we're peace." [25:04] >> Have you Right. Right. It's got it's got [25:06] it's it's different different energies, [25:08] but these guys uh they they they've got [25:10] to they've got to get into the if [25:12] they're going to be out there in these [25:14] in these far-flung places, they got to [25:16] have a defensive mindset. One more [25:17] point. [25:17] >> I agree. I think this conversation is [25:19] also specifically directed to them, [25:22] >> right? [25:22] >> Wherever they are. [25:23] >> Now, there is another group that's out [25:25] there to help you. This is a little [25:26] funny irony. That group that's out there [25:28] to help you out in the diaspora, this is [25:30] ironic, is the Israelis, [25:32] >> right? [25:32] >> You have defense-minded Israelis with [25:35] training. [25:36] >> Many of them were combatants or have uh [25:38] military experience and they will be [25:40] very happy to help. right now. There's [25:42] plenty of, let's say, in America, [25:43] there's plenty of, you know, [25:45] non-Israelis that are well trained in [25:47] arms and stuff like that, [25:48] >> but he's an asset. He's an asset. That's [25:49] right. And and and you got to get in [25:51] that mindset. Many communities actually [25:52] doing that. But we should say that also, [25:54] >> right? Use that Israeli that's living in [25:57] your in your town. Hire him. Hire like [25:59] get in that mindset of of creating a [26:01] defense and and make that here's here's [26:03] another thing. Make that part of your [26:05] budget. [26:06] >> That's got to be that's got to be part [26:07] of your budget. Defense. There are some [26:08] there are some federal budget. There is [26:10] a lot of a lot to do. [26:11] >> Mhm. [26:12] >> But everything starts when you think [26:15] about that and you prepare and then you [26:17] feel better and you're actually feeling [26:19] as we said not in a defensive [music] [26:20] mode. I uh I actually invite uh the [26:23] people if they want if you if it's okay [26:25] with you you will publish um in the in [26:28] the link my my my web and we can we can [26:30] talk. [26:31] >> It's important. It's life-saving. [26:32] [clears throat] [26:33] Uh and and yes, [26:35] >> if we're saving one Jew, [26:37] >> that's it. [26:38] >> That's right. And by the way, there are [26:39] many non-Jews that are with us. I I have [26:41] many non-Jews that I know would take a [26:43] bullet for me. I know agree if we're [26:46] saving human beings. [26:47] >> That's right. That's it. No, we could [26:48] save we could protect Jews. But just so [26:50] you know, there's going to be a lot of [26:50] non-Jews that are going to be with you [26:52] standing there to protect you. But you [26:53] got to have as said that gone. You got [26:56] to have that pride, that strength. And [26:58] actually, the answer to my question [27:00] beforehand is that defense is actually [27:02] part of that pride. [27:03] >> I totally agree. [27:04] >> That defense is part of that pride. when [27:06] people see that you are defensive, [27:07] you're also strong, you're going to [27:09] fight back, that you're not going to let [27:10] people have their way with you. [27:11] >> In many ways, in security, we're talking [27:13] about preventing. And in many in many uh [27:17] situations, we don't even know, but [27:19] somebody had an idea, had a thought, he [27:21] saw, and he said, "H I would I prefer [27:24] not to do it." [27:26] >> Understand what I'm saying? [27:26] >> No. [27:28] When [clears throat] I was a soldier, [27:29] our commanders in the IDF told us you [27:32] should you should take care about your [27:34] equipment and the way you look. And I [27:36] said, why is it so important? I mean, [27:37] it's it should be very like comfort. But [27:39] he said, nah, because the Arabs or the [27:42] enemies, whatever, if they if they plan [27:44] something and they look and they see a [27:46] soldier they don't mess with, they say, [27:48] you know what? [27:49] >> That's right. [27:49] >> Not today. [27:50] >> That's right. [27:50] >> And you can do the same in your [27:52] community. And we will talk about that. [27:54] You know, by the way, um, uh, my my [27:58] grandfather's side is from the town of [28:00] Ostrovitz or Ostrova, [28:02] >> and there was a great Sadik that lived [28:03] there, Mary from Ostrov, and he was [28:06] fasting for 40 years because he saw the [28:08] Holocaust coming. [28:09] >> Anyway, they heard that a pogram was [28:12] coming. He got out from under the from [28:15] the bed. He took a knife and he turned [28:18] on the light outside of his door and he [28:20] stood like this. this little frail rabbi [28:23] stood with a knife and then other people [28:25] saw him they also stood with a knife and [28:27] when the progrim the the the ones that [28:29] were about to commit a you know a a [28:32] massacre saw them they turned around. [28:35] That's right. That's right. So Jewish [28:36] strength, Jewish pride, Jewish defense [28:39] uh and lovers of Israel around the [28:40] world, lovers of the Jewish people are [28:42] together. Dr. Yay Anbacher, thank you so [28:44] much for joining us to have this for [28:47] this privilege again. Awesome [28:48] conversation and get smart, get strong [28:51] out there wherever you are. And of [28:52] course, God will be with you when you're [28:54] strong. Don't forget to join us and to [28:56] support our strength through fight for [28:58] Isisrael.org. Fight for the number four [29:01] Israel.org or buy me a coffee.comishi. [29:05] Memeac. [29:07] And with all the defense and with all [29:09] the unity and with all the pride, let's [29:11] not forget the God of Israel who gives [29:12] us the strength. The formula is very [29:14] simple. He gave us this huge presence. [29:16] >> That's right. Be strong and thank him. [29:18] That's the whole formula. God bless you [29:20] wherever you are. Thanks again and [29:22] blessings from the land of Israel. From [29:23] the land of blessings to you and shalom [29:25] to him. [33:16] a room that every single person there [33:20] will jump on a terrorists and try to to [33:23] you know to disarm him to neutralize and [33:25] and and to to to stop the terror attack [33:28] will be a very dangerous room for any [33:30] terrorist.
