Transcript [00:00] And this thing behind us where we're [00:01] going to tour for just a little today on [00:03] camera as well for the folks back home [00:05] uh is the the place that houses the the [00:07] stars of the Bible. I think of it a [00:09] little bit as the hall of fame of the [00:10] book of Genesis. My mentor Dr. Noon, he [00:13] calls this the shrine of Genesis. [00:16] >> Wow. Do you agree with me? The book of [00:17] Genesis is the foundation. [00:20] >> Absolutely. The foundation of Jewish the [00:23] Jewish world and the Christian world. [00:25] It's amazing. [00:26] >> All right, folks. Cai Flesher here. I'm [00:28] at the tomb of the patriarchs and [00:29] matriarchs and my old friend, Judge Alan [00:32] Clemens from South Carolina who spent 20 [00:34] years as a state assemblyman, state [00:37] congressman, [00:37] >> state representative. [00:38] >> State rep. Okay, there you go. Uh, and [00:40] Allan, you've done so much for Israel, [00:43] so much for God, and now you're here. [00:45] Uh, uh, you were invited by Amikai [00:48] Shiki, a big conference, and today you [00:51] took a day off. The other folks went [00:53] home, and you came here to Hebrron, [00:55] right? I came to Hebrron to one of the [00:57] most wonderful [00:59] special places in the world. [01:00] >> That's right. And why is it so special? [01:02] >> Because this is the place where the [01:05] mamas and the papas are buried. [01:06] >> That's right. That's right. Now, now [01:08] when you go to America, you go to places [01:10] like Mount Rushmore, there's four men. [01:13] >> Yeah. [01:13] >> And you go to uh the Washington [01:16] Monument, Lincoln Memorial, those are [01:18] men. Men. All men. All men. Now, here at [01:20] Habbron, we are we still believe that it [01:23] takes mamas and papas to build a nation. [01:26] Absolutely. I know that some places it's [01:27] not clear about that. We still believe [01:29] that that it takes mamas and papas to [01:31] build a nation. And this thing behind us [01:33] where we're going to tour for just a [01:34] little today on camera as well for the [01:35] folks back home uh is the the place that [01:38] houses the the stars of the Bible. It [01:40] >> does. [01:41] >> Okay. I think of it a little bit as the [01:43] hall of fame of the book of Genesis. And [01:45] my mentor Dr. to know him are known. He [01:47] calls this the shrine of Genesis. [01:49] >> Wow. [01:50] >> Shrine of Genesis. Do you agree with me? [01:52] The book of Genesis [01:54] is the foundation. [01:55] >> Absolutely. The foundation the the [01:58] foundation of Jewish the Jewish world [02:01] and the Christian world. It's amazing. [02:03] >> Yeah. People who love the Bible, they [02:05] all need to come to this amazing site. [02:07] Now, on this site, which is the burial [02:09] of Abraham and Sarah, Isaac, Rebecca, [02:11] Jacob and Leia, that was about 3,500 [02:13] years ago. On this site is a building. [02:16] This is a 2,000-y old building built by [02:18] King Herod. Okay. Herod built this [02:20] building in a master craftsmanship. You [02:23] know, it involved hundreds of thousands [02:25] of workers. Uh and the building as [02:27] opposed to all the other famous Herodian [02:29] structures like Msada and even Temple [02:31] Mount, those are ruins. [02:34] This one stands. [02:35] >> I've been told that this is the oldest [02:38] building in the world in continuous use. [02:41] >> That's right. That's right. Well, you [02:42] know, the pyramids are older, but they [02:44] were just like burial plots. They [02:45] weren't for public use. [02:47] >> This is in public has been used in [02:49] perpetuity. There was a period that Jews [02:51] were not allowed here from 1267 till [02:53] 1967. 700 years that Jews were not [02:56] allowed to pray here under Islam [02:57] control. Under Islamic control. Today, [02:59] we're back. Surprise. [03:04] You know that moment when Tucker Carlson [03:06] was was interviewing uh Ted Cruz? [03:09] >> Remember that? Tucker Carlson. And he [03:11] said to him, he goes, he goes, "You want [03:13] to tell me that the Jews of the Bible [03:15] are the same as the Jews of Israel [03:16] today? Is that the same thing?" [03:18] >> And he kind of fumbled it. Let me ask [03:20] you, are the Jews of the Bible same as [03:22] the Jews today? [03:24] >> They are absolutely the same people [03:26] today. They worship the same God. They [03:29] pray from the same Bible. They worship [03:32] in the same places. Absolutely. [03:34] >> Isn't that amazing? [03:34] >> It is amazing. [03:35] >> It's one of the most amazing things in [03:36] the world. And there's only two options. [03:38] You either get it or don't get it. Today [03:40] we're walking around with yourself, some [03:43] of your family members are here with us [03:44] today. Your wife, your godson, his wife. [03:46] That's awesome. [03:48] >> Thank you so much for coming here today. [03:49] >> We're delighted to be here. Thank you [03:50] for making this special for us. [03:51] >> Let's walk up and and say hi to Abraham. [03:53] He misses you. Let's do it. And now [03:55] Allan, we're walking up. We're walking [03:57] up. Microphones, by the way, still hear [03:58] us. So, uh, no hot mic comments, please. [04:01] >> You got it. [04:02] >> Okay. [04:05] >> All right. [04:05] >> This is amazing. [04:06] >> It is amazing. Uh and uh one of the big [04:09] mistakes that the state of Israel has [04:11] done is not really sell this building as [04:14] really a central touristic and and and [04:18] pilgrimage value. [04:18] >> And why is that? [04:21] >> Well, because partially because it was [04:23] under uh Jordanian control to 1967 and [04:27] then [04:27] >> so was the Temple Mount, [04:28] >> right? And uh Israel was not having an [04:31] easy time uh assimilating that [04:34] consciousness. Also, this is a big Arab [04:37] city. Uh, and so there's a lot of issues [04:39] involved. So, people kind of people were [04:42] afraid to deal with it, you know. Let's [04:43] walk up to the wall for a second. [04:44] >> So, the security is questionable here. [04:47] >> The security was questionable here, [04:49] certainly. And there were terrorists [04:50] that wanted to make this place look [04:52] scary. Uh, and then there were elements [04:54] in the Jewish world that were having a [04:56] hard time assimilating the consciousness [04:58] that we are biblical people and that we [05:01] should, shall we say it crudely, sell [05:04] this, share this. But isn't this the [05:07] second most holy site in the Jewish [05:09] world? [05:09] >> Yeah. Yeah, it certainly is. Uh, you [05:11] know, the word holy is a tricky word. [05:13] Not everybody understands that. Another [05:14] way of saying holy is meaningful, [05:16] historic, [05:17] >> meaningful. Uh, the roots. This is the [05:19] roots. Just let's touch the walls for a [05:21] second. Anybody from your family wants [05:22] to come and touch the walls as well. [05:24] It's it's an amazing thing to touch. Uh, [05:26] I like touching it so much because [05:28] because you were really touching a [05:29] 2,000-y old stone. And look at this [05:31] famous masonry. You see this masonry? [05:33] >> Herodian. Herodian masonry. [05:35] >> Yeah. [05:35] >> Uh Herod had uh he was a visionary. [05:38] >> Anytime you see that border on a stone [05:41] Yeah. that marks it as Herodian. [05:43] >> That's right. And there's no cement. [05:44] There's no cement. [05:45] >> It's weight. Some these are many many [05:47] many tons of these stones. When we touch [05:50] this thing, we're really touching [05:51] history. You know, we owe two [05:54] >> funky I I you know, I leaned on this [05:56] wall and I stopped leaning on because [05:57] you're not really supposed to even lean [05:58] on it because you got to give it the [05:59] respect. It's not like it's here for you [06:01] to be on the couch. two men we owe a lot [06:03] to two funky men. One was uh Matial Benf [06:08] Joseph Flavius, [06:10] >> right? [06:10] >> He wrote the history of antiquity. [06:12] >> Where he got the history from, [06:13] >> right? And the other one was Herod. Uh [06:15] Herod was a was a weird dude. [06:17] >> Uh you know, he was a master craftsman, [06:20] a master architect, but he also killed [06:22] his wife and put her in honey, then [06:24] spoke to her for three years. [06:25] >> He was messed up. [06:26] >> Yeah. [06:27] you know, these these great people, you [06:29] know, uh you know, like like like Trump [06:32] and like and like and like Elon Musk, [06:34] they're they're geniuses. They do great [06:36] things, but they're you know, they're [06:37] energetic. Let's put it that way. [06:39] >> They have issues. [06:39] >> Yeah, they have issues. That's how [06:41] that's part of what being great is. Uh [06:43] so this this wall is so awesome. You [06:45] know what else I like to do with this [06:46] wall? [06:46] >> I like to think about our daddies and [06:49] our mommies, [06:50] >> right? [06:51] >> The folks that brought us into into [06:52] life. [06:54] >> That's what I tell people. Think about [06:55] >> beautiful. Think think about all the [06:56] people, you know, it took a lot of [06:58] generations to make you. [06:59] >> Yeah, that's right. [07:00] >> There's a lot of effort throughout the [07:02] generations. This this this stands as a [07:05] as a marker for what came down through [07:08] time and the values of these people. And [07:11] when we're here today, we're going to [07:12] connect with those values. [07:13] >> That's beautiful. It's a little windy, [07:15] so we're going to go inside. Let's do [07:16] it. Uh before we go on, I just wanted to [07:19] show you this thing. You know, the Bible [07:21] says uh that we're commanded, we Jewish [07:23] people are commanded that when we have [07:24] an entrance way, we put what's called a [07:26] muza. What is a muza? It has a scroll [07:28] inside with paragraphs uh from scripture [07:31] that really talk about God's presence. [07:33] And inside here is that is that kind of [07:35] scroll. Now, you know what it says here? [07:36] It says Sharan Edin, the entrance, the [07:39] gateway into the Garden of Eden. Why? [07:42] Because our sources tell us that Abraham [07:44] chose this spot because he sensed here [07:46] that it was a portal into the Garden of [07:48] Eden. And he found the tombs according [07:51] to our tradition, not according to the [07:53] Bible. He found the tombs of Adam and [07:56] Eve. And your godson Jeremy said to me, [07:59] like we could all trace our our human [08:02] and spiritual uh uh history to this [08:06] place. And that's true. And we [08:07] understand this to be really the [08:08] foundation of both non-Jews as in Adam [08:11] and Eve that that relates all of us. And [08:13] then to the Jewish story, which is also [08:14] the biblical story, which is the [08:16] spiritual story. So, okay, there's the [08:18] entrance to the Garden of Eden. [08:19] >> That's beautiful. [08:20] >> Yeah. Uh, this used to be a silver uh [08:24] muza, but we have 10 days a year that [08:26] the Muslims have full control of this [08:27] building. So, they would rip it off. [08:29] >> Oh my. [08:29] >> So, we put one in it. You can't take off [08:31] so easily. [08:31] >> Oh my. [08:32] >> Okay. [08:33] >> So, how how do we properly respect the [08:36] massa as we're going into the building? [08:37] >> What Jewish people do is we touch it. We [08:39] sometimes kiss it. [08:40] >> But the point is is to be like the whole [08:42] idea is very simple. I want God in my [08:44] house. [08:44] >> That's beautiful. [08:45] >> I want God in my house. I want you. I'm [08:46] I'm drawing you in. I want you in my in [08:48] my house in [08:53] Look at these guys. What are you guys [08:54] planning? The roof. The roof. [08:56] >> Good. Good. [08:57] >> Yeah. See, our ancient history is a work [08:59] in progress. You see that? We're working [09:01] on it. [09:01] >> That's beautiful. [09:03] >> We are part of it. [09:04] >> Come closer. Show me. Show me what [09:05] you're thinking. [09:07] >> This is the This is the plan for the [09:08] internal roof. [09:09] >> Yeah. [09:10] >> Wonderful. Wonderful. Very exciting. [09:12] It's going to give people a lot of uh [09:13] less water in their feet. water and air [09:16] condition in the summer and [09:18] >> this is a big deal what they're working [09:20] on too. Thank you. [09:23] >> Go ahead. [09:23] >> So, uh is we [09:26] >> we we think the tradition of the muza is [09:29] beautiful. In fact, we have a muza going [09:31] into our home, [09:32] >> right? [09:33] >> But we don't put a muza on the bathroom. [09:36] >> We don't we don't put a muza on the [09:38] bathroom. [09:38] >> And why is that? [09:39] >> Because while while going to the [09:41] bathroom is an important part of life, [09:42] that's not a room. the the the room that [09:45] you're going to the bathroom is not the [09:46] room that you that you put God's name [09:49] on. When you come out of the bathroom, [09:50] you could bless the Lord for giving you [09:52] the ability to clean yourself, but we [09:54] don't put a MS on it. In fact, we Jews, [09:56] we don't study the Bible in the [09:58] bathroom. We don't think holy thoughts [09:59] in the bathroom. And when I come into [10:01] sometimes non-Jewish people's homes and [10:03] I see a verse, you know, hung up nicely [10:05] in the bathroom, like, "Oh, no. [10:06] >> Totally out of place. [10:07] >> We can't do it. I can't do it." [10:09] >> So, that's a little funny. That's a [10:11] little funny, you know, difference. And [10:13] and I actually share that with my [10:14] non-Jewish brothers and sisters because [10:15] I tell them like let's let's maybe maybe [10:18] take that upon ourselves that we like [10:20] here in the Bible do the math do the [10:22] whatever but God when you step out of [10:25] the bathroom and that is holiness [10:27] >> you know when you know to separate a [10:28] little [10:29] >> absolutely [10:30] >> well thank you for sharing you know you [10:31] talk about Genesis being the foundation [10:33] as a Christian yeah [10:35] >> you know it it's beautiful to be here in [10:37] Israel right [10:38] >> and to and to experience [10:43] what is the foundation of Christianity, [10:45] the the Jewish world, the the Jewish [10:48] tradition, the Jewish Bible, and the [10:50] Jewish holy places like this. That's [10:52] right. It's amazing. [10:53] >> Uh and and as we said though, this is a [10:55] holy place for Jews and non-Jews as [10:57] well. Anybody who cares about Abraham, [11:00] >> the Abrahamic tradition, anybody who [11:01] wants to be more Abrahamic, [11:03] >> right? [11:03] >> You know what I mean? That that's that's [11:04] what this place is about. [11:05] >> I think that is beautiful. [11:06] >> Let's go inside and we'll see. We'll [11:08] understand what we're looking at first. [11:09] Uh we'll start from the end a little [11:11] bit. [11:20] This is the marker of Abraham. I say [11:23] marker. I don't say tomb because [11:27] Genesis tells us the story. I think [11:31] chapter 23 tells us the story of the [11:32] purchase that Abraham purchased this [11:35] plot of land from the Hittites. Okay? He [11:38] purchased it from the Hittites and he [11:40] was there to bury his beloved wife [11:42] Sarah. [11:42] >> Right. [11:43] >> That's why I don't like it when people [11:44] call it tomb of the patriarchs. [11:46] >> We're leaving out some special people. [11:48] >> Firstly, it's a tomb of the matriarchs. [11:50] >> Absolutely. [11:51] >> And then becomes tomb of the patriarchs. [11:52] >> So this thing is constructed as a [11:54] mausoleium on top. A mausoleium. A big [11:55] mausoleium for the big people who are [11:57] buried here. Okay. [11:58] >> And then Herod left six markers inside [12:02] on this upper floor. six markers to show [12:06] the couples, Abraham and Sarah, Isaac [12:08] and Rebecca, Jacob and Leah. [12:09] >> Wow. So, these markers go back to Herod. [12:12] >> Absolutely. [12:13] >> Although today they're covered with [12:14] Muslim tarps and what seems like a [12:16] Muslim room, the fact is that this is [12:18] original to the building. [12:21] >> Uh, and this is the tomb, the marker of [12:23] Abraham. And the idea was to have a [12:25] focal point which which you connect to [12:27] Abraham. Okay? And think about Abraham. [12:30] This is our moment to think about [12:31] Abraham. So I want to make it a little [12:33] bit clear if I didn't make it clear. Uh [12:35] the markers are here as memorials for [12:39] the tombs below. [12:41] >> Okay. Imagine very simply uh an American [12:46] cemetery. What is what is there in the [12:48] American cemetery? There's headstones. [12:50] What's a headstone? Headstone is [12:52] something you come and touch, [12:55] >> you pray over, you think over. [12:58] >> A memorial. [12:58] >> That's a memorial. But you don't want to [13:00] touch the actual tomb. Humanity has [13:02] developed this kind of way that we don't [13:03] touch the tombs below. We don't want to [13:05] touch the body. We want to touch the [13:06] memory. So Herod built this big [13:09] mausoleum [13:10] so that it would touch the tombs below [13:13] and give you markers to focus on [13:15] Abraham. But the tombs are about three [13:17] floors below this building. Okay? [13:19] There's a cave complex and then there's [13:20] a giant building. We're at the top of [13:22] the building. Okay? So Herod created [13:24] this thing in order for us to to kind of [13:26] focus and visualize Abraham. But this is [13:29] not the tomb of Abraham. It's the marker [13:31] of Abraham. The tomb is below pretty [13:33] much directly below this building right [13:35] now. Right below this uh the marker of [13:37] Abraham. Okay. So that that's what Herod [13:40] how he came up with this idea. We'll see [13:41] a picture of that a little bit that will [13:42] make it clear to us. But this is not the [13:45] tomb. Therefore, that's why we write [13:47] tomb monument. [13:48] Now when you stand here, there's going [13:51] to be there's something there's some [13:52] funky stuff here. First is if if you [13:54] look to the right of the tomb, you'll [13:56] see what looks like a a pane of glass. [14:00] >> And then you look you see there's [14:01] another window there to the right. [14:03] >> I see that. [14:04] >> That windows to the Muslim side. Today [14:06] the building is split between a Muslim [14:09] side and a Jewish side. And that glass [14:12] is sadly bulletproof glass [14:14] >> so that there won't be any any kind of [14:17] violence between uh intention. But we [14:20] all rever Abraham. And so we finally [14:23] made it to Abraham. [14:25] >> Is that important to you? [14:26] >> Yes. [14:27] >> There's the moment. There's Abraham. And [14:29] by the way, check out this floor. Check [14:30] out this floor. [14:31] >> Yeah. [14:32] >> Check out this floor. Now, I'm sure you [14:34] have a nice home in in South Carolina. [14:36] >> Amazing. [14:37] >> Yeah. Sometime Yeah. There you go. Very [14:38] good. [14:39] >> Right. This is the original floor. [14:41] >> This is the original 2,000-y old floor. [14:43] Every one of these weighs, you know, a [14:45] ton and more. [14:46] >> Amazing. Right. We're walking on the [14:49] original floor. And this floor has been [14:50] used every single day for the last 2,000 [14:52] years to give honor to to Abraham. Okay. [14:55] Now, [14:55] >> millions of people. [14:56] >> What are you saying? [14:57] >> By millions of people. [14:58] >> Yeah. Millions of people. Like some [14:59] today is a quiet day right now. But [15:00] there are some times where it's [15:01] completely full [15:02] >> by both Jews and Muslims. [15:04] >> Well, the Muslims are on the Muslim [15:05] side. And they [15:06] >> But there was one time when there were [15:08] no Jews here. When was in control and [15:12] when Turkey was in control. [15:14] >> Yeah. [15:14] >> Right. Well, Turkey, the Ottoman Empire. [15:17] Ottoman Empire. That's right. Yeah. with [15:18] today's Turkey. [15:19] >> Uh 700 years they didn't let Jews in. [15:22] >> Yeah. [15:22] >> 1267 till 1967. [15:24] >> Incredible. [15:25] >> 700 years. [15:26] >> Wow. [15:26] >> And we we stayed outside. We prayed [15:28] outside of the building. Hey Allan, 700 [15:31] years. We cleaved to this building like [15:35] we cleave to the Western Wall. Yeah. [15:36] >> We weren't allowed in, but we stuck [15:38] around and just held on to it. [15:40] >> You never left it. [15:41] >> Never left it. Okay. I want you to you [15:43] you should be a little bit angry with me [15:45] right now. You should I want Yeah. I [15:46] want you to be I want you to be [15:47] incredulous and to say to me, "Wait a [15:49] minute. You said it's the tomb of the [15:50] mamas and the papas. You said it was [15:52] patriarchs and matriarchs. Where's the [15:54] mamas? You showed me Abraham. What is [15:55] this patriarchy?" [15:56] >> Yeah. What's wrong with you? Where are [15:57] the matriarchs? [15:58] >> Let's go. I promised you mamas and [16:00] papas right? [16:00] >> Yeah. Let's get to the mamas. [16:02] >> I told That's right. I told you. I told [16:03] you. Here's another mizuza. Look at this [16:05] one. [16:06] >> Oh, wow. [16:06] >> Okay. This is a stone from Sheckchim or [16:09] what the Arabs called Nablas. Yeah. [16:10] >> Okay. That's where Abraham came to [16:12] first. [16:12] >> The burial place of Joseph. [16:14] >> That's right. And it says, this is the [16:16] letter shin. And it says Abraham vis [16:18] Abraham and Sarah. Just that simple. [16:20] Abraham and Sarah. [16:21] >> Beautiful. [16:21] >> And when we come in here, [16:26] we see another window on the tomb of [16:28] Abraham. [16:30] It's just another window onto it. Okay. [16:34] There's the right there's It says the [16:36] monument of Abraham. By the way, take a [16:39] look here. Do you see this building? [16:42] What's different about it? It doesn't [16:44] have the two minetses. [16:45] >> It does [16:46] >> because the minetses were a later [16:47] add-on. This is the original Jewish [16:49] building and that's what how we wanted [16:50] to remember it. So here's Abraham like [16:53] we said. Good. But then right across [16:55] from Abraham, [16:58] right across from Abraham is the marker [17:01] of Sarah. [17:03] >> Oh wow. [17:03] >> Right across. Okay. And that's the way [17:08] uh this place commemorates and [17:11] memorializes [17:13] uh these great people. They are a [17:15] couple. [17:16] >> This is a city of love. Hey, what's [17:18] what's the what's the tagline for [17:20] Virginia? [17:21] >> Virginia is for lovers. That's it. [17:23] >> I was a kid. I remember that. Virginia [17:25] and my mom took me to Skyline Drive, [17:27] Shannonoa, and all that. You know, [17:29] >> Virginia is for lovers. That's what [17:31] Hebron is. He's for lovers. It's Abraham [17:34] and Sarah. [17:35] >> Wow. They came together in love and in [17:37] family to give birth to a nation. [17:39] >> They did. And they're still together. [17:41] >> That's right. And I'm so glad, [17:42] therefore, that you also brought your [17:44] wife and and and and another couple of [17:46] your family. That's that's the right [17:48] attitude here. That's the right thing to [17:50] feel here. Mothers and fathers, [17:52] families. We give birth to children and [17:55] and and you know, a human being is a [17:57] programmable piece of hardware. [17:59] >> Yeah. We are, aren't we? [18:00] >> We're programmable. So, we have to give [18:02] them birth and we have to fill them with [18:04] the values. [18:05] >> That's right. [18:05] >> And that's what this thing is about. [18:06] It's about It's about the the couple, [18:08] but also the value system of of love of [18:10] God, of following in his footsteps. [18:12] >> I love that. [18:13] >> Yeah. [18:13] >> You know, we were talking politics [18:15] earlier. [18:16] Values is what we're missing in the [18:18] United States. Uh and and the the issues [18:21] that we're seeing in the United States [18:23] right now in America, [18:24] >> it it's a values issue, [18:26] >> right? And the values aren't haven't [18:28] been taught to our children as they [18:31] should be. And I I think the slogan make [18:35] America great again, right? It's it's [18:37] through reestablishing those values. [18:38] >> And we came up with a new slogan, make [18:40] God great again. [18:41] >> Make God great again. [18:42] >> Make God great again. [18:43] >> That's right. [18:43] >> And we have to do that here in Israel as [18:45] well. We have a lot of work to do to do [18:47] here as well to share values, to teach [18:49] values. That's what we've been doing [18:50] with this building, using this building [18:51] as a teaching tool. And we got to do so [18:53] much more of it. We got to do so much [18:54] more of that. Uh but that's what this [18:55] building is. Absolutely. I hope that [18:57] every tourist uh from the United States [18:59] comes and visits this this place. That's [19:00] that's one of the [19:01] >> I hope so too. That would be beautiful. [19:03] >> Right. So here we are. We're at the tomb [19:04] of the mamas and papas. We got we got [19:06] Abraham. We got Sarah. People sit here. [19:08] They could sit here for a day. People [19:10] could sit here saying psalms talking and [19:13] thinking. And I'm sure that you have [19:14] children you want to pray for. Right. [19:16] >> Sure. [19:16] >> And that's that's what this place is [19:18] great for. This place is really good for [19:20] praying for the kids. Praying for [19:21] example that they married the right [19:23] person. That's what this place is about. [19:25] Remember remember the story of Isaac? [19:27] How how how Abraham's servant went to [19:30] find Rebecca and she came back. Our [19:32] tradition is that they saw each other [19:34] here for the first time. [19:35] >> Wow. [19:35] >> Isaac and Rebecca. So this is really [19:37] Hebron is for love [19:38] >> here in this place. [19:39] >> Not in the building but in the field [19:41] because it says that he was praying in [19:42] the field. [19:43] >> That's right. [19:44] >> And uh and we said the field. Well, [19:45] that's the field of the makella. That's [19:47] the field that Abraham purchased and [19:48] that's where they met. And she Rebecca [19:51] came and took the place of Sarah in the [19:54] heart of Isaac. He lost his mother. Came [19:56] Rebecca and she she consoled him. She [19:58] consoled him and they had a love. They [20:00] had a great love. Now today we won't be [20:02] able to see the tomb of uh Isaac and [20:04] Rebecca. We won't be able to go into [20:06] because it's here. It's past this cloth. [20:09] There's a door. Okay. [20:12] There's a door here. Okay. And that door [20:15] leads to the Muslim side, Muslim [20:18] controlled side, shall I say. Okay? They [20:21] have a giant room and it's the tomb [20:23] tombs of Isaac and Rebecca. Okay? Uh and [20:27] that's on their side. 10 days a year we [20:30] get to visit it. [20:31] >> 10 days a year we get full control of [20:33] the site. 10 days a year they get full [20:35] control of the site. That is the uh uh [20:38] that is the way that things work around [20:39] here. [20:40] >> The last time I was here, as a matter of [20:42] fact, it was during that 10day period. [20:43] about to get in. [20:44] >> So, I was able to go in. Yes. Uh and [20:47] talk talk to us a little bit about what [20:51] you find on the other side with the [20:53] great and the floor and uh how the those [20:56] tombs are are revered. [20:58] >> On the other side is the staircase that [21:01] lets you down into the actual tomb [21:03] complex. [21:05] >> And we have been down there not a lot of [21:07] times. And since we've been down there, [21:08] the Muslims sealed, they don't want us [21:10] going down there. The reason they don't [21:12] want us going down there is when we go [21:13] down there, we actually find ar ar ar ar [21:16] ar ar ar ar ar ar ar ar ar ar ar ar ar [21:16] ar ar ar archaeology not from the second [21:17] temple of this building but already from [21:19] the first temple. It proves Jewish [21:21] connectivity to this place and it [21:23] disproves the the Muslim kind of story [21:25] that this is somehow the Ibrahimi mosque [21:27] or some kind of Muslim uh story. By the [21:29] way, I don't deny that Arabs have a [21:31] connection to this place. I don't deny [21:32] that for a second. when we love Abraham [21:35] together, our our joint father, our [21:36] shared father, that's that's fine as [21:39] long as you don't try to erase the [21:41] narrative of Israel. And and part of [21:43] what Islam has tried to do, as I was [21:45] telling you, for 700 years, they didn't [21:46] let us in. They tried to erase the [21:48] Jewish story of this place. Okay? Uh you [21:50] know, they don't hold the Bible to be [21:53] the the scripture. It's not true. It's [21:55] got no provenence. Okay? And so um and [21:59] so they think that the the people buried [22:01] here are actually the same people we [22:03] think but they were great Muslim [22:05] prophets. [22:06] >> Yeah. [22:06] >> That's the way they deal with it. And [22:07] and and with all people of the Bible, [22:09] that's how they they translate them into [22:11] great Muslim prophets. In any case, [22:13] we're not going to get too too uh too [22:15] locked into that. What we're going to [22:16] think about here is Abraham and Sarah [22:18] and the fact that God gave us the chance [22:20] to be here today in this in this amazing [22:22] place. when you come in those 10 days [22:23] and maybe there'll be more of it in the [22:25] future. We'll get to see Isaac and [22:27] Rebecca as well. I have a fun story for [22:29] you. [22:31] I have a friend who works here and he's [22:34] from India. He's an Indian Jew and he [22:37] grew up in the jungles and he's [22:39] literally an expert in uh slingshot. Oh, [22:42] >> okay. [22:43] >> And we have a bird problem here. The [22:44] birds fly in and they they leave their [22:46] stuff here and it makes a mess. So we [22:49] hired him to shoot the birds with a [22:53] slingshot. [22:53] >> Cure the bird problem at [22:55] >> He cured the beer bird problem. So he [22:57] was with one shot he hits him in the [22:59] head and they're gone. They're gone. [23:00] >> Oh wow. [23:01] >> And everything was going swimmingly. The [23:02] place was clean as a whistle. Uh but [23:05] then what happened was is that weird [23:06] thing started happening in his home. [23:10] Uh the kids would get uh hot water [23:12] spilled on them and the AC would break. [23:15] Same day as the laundry machine, same [23:16] day as the car. There was like weird [23:18] things happening and he he couldn't [23:20] figure it out. He didn't he didn't [23:21] connect anything. One day he's shooting [23:23] the birds here and an old rabbi with a [23:25] white beard says to him, "What are you [23:27] doing?" He says, "I'm I'm doing my job. [23:29] I'm getting rid of the birds." And the [23:31] rabbi said to him, "You can't do that [23:32] here. This is a place of souls. There's [23:35] souls and there's transmigration of [23:37] souls. There's birds and animals that [23:39] have a piece of a soul that didn't [23:41] finish its job in this world. And you [23:43] can't be killing these things. if you do [23:45] that there's going to be bad energy on [23:47] you. You can't be doing that. And uh and [23:50] he stopped and since then everything [23:52] went back to normal. I know him. He he [23:54] told me the story directly. And the the [23:56] reason I tell the story is to also [23:57] understand that there's souls here. [23:59] Okay. On the one hand, it's simply a [24:00] national site. Here's the founders. [24:03] Okay. But there's also another [24:04] component. We Jews believe that when a [24:07] person passes away, their soul first [24:09] shows up here to give an accounting to [24:13] the forefathers and mothers if they live [24:15] their life in a biblical way in an [24:17] Abrahamic path. [24:18] >> You got you got you got to show up and [24:20] you give an accounting at the end of [24:22] your life. [24:23] >> Yeah. [24:24] >> You know what I mean? You got to give an [24:25] accounting for what you've done. [24:26] >> So, [24:26] >> we believe that, too. [24:27] >> Of course. [24:28] >> Yeah. [24:28] >> Of course. [24:29] >> God's watching every every act, [24:31] everything that comes out of our mouth. [24:33] uh every action that we do. That's kind [24:35] of scary. [24:36] >> It is, isn't it? [24:38] >> It's kind of scary. Sometimes if I'm, [24:40] you know, in a bad day and I'm, I don't [24:42] know, angry or something, I'm like, [24:43] whoa, I got I better watch it. This is [24:44] going to all be, you know, it's going to [24:46] be all playback at the end. So, you you [24:49] better watch what you're doing. And I [24:51] guess maybe that's one of the [24:52] fundamentals of believing God, which is [24:53] to believe that God's watching us. [24:55] >> That's right. [24:56] >> There's accountability for our actions [24:58] throughout our life [25:00] >> and that there's a moral demand. It's [25:02] not we're free agents. [25:04] >> We're not free agents. We're here to to [25:07] live a moral life. And if we don't, [25:08] >> we may be able to make choices and have [25:10] free agency with regard to our choices, [25:12] but there will be an accountability if [25:14] we [25:15] >> if we don't uh live that good life that [25:17] we're expected to live. [25:18] >> That's right. [25:19] >> That's beautiful. [25:20] >> Look, by the way, there are people [25:21] coming in. All kinds of people. [25:22] >> There are [25:23] >> uh there's a police officer. There's [25:24] other people that are here uh and [25:26] they're coming in. They're praying. [25:27] They're connecting. Shalom. Welcome. [25:29] >> Shalom. Uh there's all kinds of folks [25:31] from all over the world and certainly [25:32] from Israel who [25:33] >> who get it. [25:34] >> Yes. [25:35] >> Alan. [25:36] >> Yes. [25:36] >> Thank you so much for being with me here [25:37] today. This is so fun. [25:38] >> This has been lovely. Thank you. [25:39] >> It's fun. And it's fun. We're doing it [25:40] on camera today for people just, you [25:42] know, because when they see it through [25:43] your eyes, my eyes, okay, pretty people [25:45] are used to. But seeing it through your [25:46] eyes, it gives them a sense. It also [25:47] gives them a sense that it's not just [25:49] for the Jews. No. [25:50] >> I mean, it's for the nations as well. [25:51] >> It is. [25:52] >> Um I just wanted to show you here for a [25:54] second. [25:55] >> I want to show everybody here. This is a [25:57] very important picture up here. Maybe [25:59] the most important picture. Okay, this [26:01] picture gives us a sense of really what [26:05] the building originally looked like. Do [26:07] you see the six markers? [26:09] >> Yes. [26:09] >> Okay. So, this is Abraham and Sarah. [26:11] Abraham and Sarah, Isaac, Rebecca, [26:14] Jacob, and Leah. Okay. That's the way it [26:16] was. [26:16] >> That's the way it originally was. It [26:17] didn't have all these walls. Uh and and [26:20] the reason for that is is because it was [26:22] like a cemetery only raised. And the [26:25] idea was is that you look up to God when [26:28] you touch these people's, you know, [26:30] tombs. We Jewish people are very [26:33] allergic to idolatry, [26:35] >> right? [26:36] >> Very allergic to idolatry, like [26:38] maniacally. So, and and you could fall [26:40] into idolatry very simply. If you say, [26:42] "Abraham, please heal me." [26:45] >> Boom. You fell into idolatry from our [26:47] perspective. [26:48] >> Okay. Okay. We are very You must know [26:51] that these were human beings and that [26:53] there's only one power that heals and [26:54] that's God. [26:55] >> It's not about worshiping Abraham. [26:57] >> It's about worshiping God. [26:58] >> You can make that mistake. [26:59] >> Yeah. [27:00] >> And so there was not a ceiling above so [27:03] that you would look up to the heavens. [27:04] >> Oh, so no ceiling here [27:06] >> originally in the original way. However, [27:09] there's a problem. It's very cold here [27:11] and very hot here. And so with time, the [27:14] various peoples that came in conquest, [27:16] they added structures to it. And today [27:18] we saw at the beginning they're actually [27:20] about to put a roof right over here. [27:22] They're going to put a roof to cover [27:23] this thing. They're really planning it. [27:25] Uh they really want to add a roof to [27:27] this thing uh because it uh it will help [27:30] manage the water and the rain and the [27:32] and the pigeons. [27:33] >> And the pigeons pigeons are a problem. [27:35] God bless them, you know. So that's [27:38] that's what's happening. Now uh the [27:40] other thing is that as I said before, [27:43] this building is on top of the tombs. [27:45] The tombs are three floors below. There [27:47] are some people that have visited the [27:48] tombs below. My mentor and teacher and [27:51] colleague Dr. Noah Marnon, he's one of [27:53] the people that was down there. I I want [27:55] to tell you, you remember the Bible [27:57] talks about that Moses came down from [27:59] from Sinai, from Mount Si. His face was [28:01] glowing. Remember that? [28:02] >> Yeah. [28:03] >> That's what No Arnon is. His face is [28:05] continuing to glow from his closeness [28:08] that he came to the tombs of the [28:10] forefathers and mothers. [28:11] >> Wow. Uh maybe I see that glow, but I see [28:14] that he's been able to be a a a a spring [28:18] a wellspring that never [28:20] >> never ceases [28:21] >> never ceases from his contact with those [28:25] holy people with the forefathers and [28:27] mothers. Uh I have not had that merit. I [28:30] I you know I'm just a pleb. Uh you know [28:32] what I mean? And we're up here you and I [28:34] where the the regular people the Hoy [28:36] paloy goes to connect with the [28:38] forefathers. is what's between the tombs [28:41] and where we're standing now. [28:42] >> Very interesting uh thing you're asking. [28:45] Um and the answer is we don't know [28:49] totally totally totally but from all our [28:52] sonar work and other works that we've [28:53] done is basically a fill. [28:55] >> Okay. [28:56] >> Basically until you go three floors down [28:58] then you get to the original tomb [29:01] complex cave complex that houses the [29:03] tombs. And yes, it is a double tomb like [29:06] the Torah, the Bible, scripture calls [29:08] it, which is the mah, the double tomb. [29:11] So yes, it's it's down there, the double [29:13] tomb. Um, and here we have a prayer that [29:16] we have it in Hebrew, and I'm going to [29:18] give to to uh your the ladies that are [29:20] with us. Uh, page 165. You could you [29:24] could use it. You could step out of the [29:25] cold if you want. You don't need to [29:26] stand in the wind. Uh but it's a great [29:28] prayer uh about maybe I'll maybe I'll [29:32] find something to to read to you here. [29:36] I'll read to you in Hebrew here. Okay. [29:42] As we have had the merit to come here [29:48] and we came to the markers of our [29:50] forefathers and mothers. [29:55] We should merit to see Abraham, Isaac, [29:57] and Jacob and their wives alive again [30:00] because we believe in the resurrection [30:01] of the dead. We believe that they're not [30:03] totally dead and their spirit is [30:04] certainly alive. May we see them alive [30:06] again [30:08] at the time that they shall arise again [30:10] and will be gladdened. [30:13] All the dead will arise once again to [30:15] give homage to God at the very end of [30:17] days [30:19] together with the in gathering of the [30:21] exiles [30:23] and in the full redemption [30:28] and in may it be speedily in our days [30:31] and we say we should say amen. [30:33] >> Amen. [30:33] >> Amen. We should see the gathering of the [30:35] exiles the full redemption and then this [30:37] mystical concept of the resurrection of [30:39] the dead. I'm not going to give you too [30:40] much on the resurrection of the dead. [30:42] That is a mystical concept. [30:43] >> We could have an all day discussion of [30:44] that. [30:44] >> That's right. That's right. That's [30:46] right. I'm not sure that I have the uh I [30:48] don't I don't know if that's in my pay [30:49] grade to talk about the the resurrection [30:51] of the dead, but uh but I I think [30:54] actually that there's a simple way to [30:56] understand it. Um first thing is that [30:58] God gives us life every day. Every day [31:00] we could be dead. And God gives us life [31:03] and he gives and he gives and he gives [31:05] the rebirth of the Jewish people in the [31:07] land of Israel. That's that's the [31:08] resurrection of the dead. That's the [31:10] coming together of the of the bones, [31:11] right? [31:11] >> It is. [31:12] >> So, so in many ways we Yeah. I tell my [31:14] kids like when you buy a new pair of [31:16] shoes, look, you have a new skin on your [31:17] foot [31:18] >> to to to go out on your day. You that [31:20] that's a bit of resurrection of the [31:22] dead. And certainly at the end of time, [31:23] you know, there's this concept that [31:25] everybody's going to get up and take a [31:26] bow. All the efforts, all that history, [31:29] it's going to come to God is going to do [31:31] an accounting and we're all going to get [31:33] up and say, "Thank you, God, for all [31:35] that you've given us." [31:36] >> And between Jews and Christians, we we [31:38] may [31:39] um respect a different ideology on how [31:42] we get to that resurrection of the dead. [31:44] But we all have hold that that's right [31:47] that that ultimate uh resurrection of [31:49] the dead in common in [31:51] >> I have I have built up a language to [31:53] find commonality. Here's two phrases [31:55] that I use. One is I say to my Christian [31:57] brothers and sisters, I say just follow [31:59] me. I say let's agree to agree. [32:02] >> I love that [32:03] >> we have so much we agree on. We do. [32:05] >> Let's talk about it. and and I I wish [32:07] that the entire Christian world would [32:10] adopt that philosophy because we do have [32:12] so much in common. And there's a reason [32:14] for that. It's because many of the uh [32:19] principles that we hold dear as [32:20] Christians, we have adopted from our [32:24] Jewish foundation. So, you know, I for [32:27] those that are watching this, [32:31] if you've never been to Israel, it will [32:33] change your life. And it will open your [32:36] eyes to a new perspective when you read [32:38] the Bible and come to understand better [32:42] and respect the the traditions that gave [32:46] birth to Christianity. Right. [32:49] >> It's amazing. [32:50] >> You you know what what you just said, I [32:53] like it very much. I agree 100%. It's [32:55] about the Bible. It's about the Bible [32:56] coming to life. It's about it's about [32:58] seeing those places and walking where [33:00] where where where our where our [33:02] forefathers and mothers walked, where [33:03] the prophets walked. [33:04] But I want to add something to that. [33:06] >> Sure. [33:06] >> Which is it's not just about reliving [33:09] the past. [33:11] >> There's something that happens here, [33:13] which is you're going to have an [33:15] experience. You're going to have a [33:17] prophetic experience of some kind. [33:19] You're going to hear God talking to you. [33:20] >> Yeah. [33:21] >> When you come to Jerusalem, when you [33:22] come to Hebron, you're going to you're [33:23] going to somewhere on your trip, there's [33:26] going to be a message. You're going to [33:28] have a biblical experience yourself. [33:30] >> I agree 100%. [33:33] These stones, these old stones, they're [33:36] living stones. And the inspiration we [33:40] get from being here is just amazing, [33:42] right? [33:42] >> And I agree. I've had that pathetic [33:44] experience myself, [33:45] >> right? And we shouldn't be embarrassed [33:46] to say that. Yeah. [33:47] >> I I tell people like, "Hey, Israel, [33:49] maybe we should sell that." It's also [33:51] It's also like a come have like a you [33:53] know, if you if you go to the some [33:55] country with beaches, you're going to [33:56] have a great beach experience. You're [33:58] going to have a biblical spiritual [33:59] experience. [33:59] >> That's right. [34:00] >> God's going to talk to you in simple [34:01] terms. [34:02] personal revelation. [34:03] >> There you go. Absolutely. And I I'm not [34:05] embarrassed to say it. You're going to [34:06] have some personal if you if if you seek [34:08] it. If you open your heart to it, you're [34:10] going to have a spiritual experience. [34:12] >> And and and when when you come to [34:15] Israel, ask to visit Mailah, right? He [34:19] >> That's right. [34:20] >> It's an amazing place. [34:21] >> That's right. And I want to say to you [34:22] and your family that you've been called [34:24] today. If God says, "I want Allan and [34:27] his family to Judge Clemens to see this [34:29] place." Means I want him to see my [34:31] beloved. That means he's like, "You're [34:32] my beloved. I want you to see my [34:34] beloved." Yeah. Isn't that nice? [34:35] >> It's beautiful. [34:37] >> Okay, we got one more room to visit [34:39] today here at the tomb. So, let's go [34:40] there. [34:41] >> Let's go see it. I'm just looking at the [34:43] stones, these huge Herodian stones here. [34:46] But uh when I look up, I see some corn [34:50] some ancient cornice work there that [34:52] looks like it might have at one time [34:53] been the top of the building, right? And [34:55] then smaller stones that look like [34:56] they've been added. [34:57] >> Right. Okay. So So this building has got [34:59] add-ons from the Byzantine period, which [35:02] is Christian Rome. Then it's got uh [35:05] additions from the crusaders. Uh those [35:07] guys came and and hung around here for [35:09] about 50 years. They built on and then [35:11] the Mlooks and then the Ottomans. They [35:13] all built stuff. They all added on. Some [35:15] stones we know immediately we're like [35:16] that's Ottoman that that that's mom look [35:19] crusader we have different parts uh and [35:21] they all added on the awesomeness of the [35:23] building is that the original building [35:25] is whole it's just been added on to so [35:27] okay so we have these like testaments [35:29] from different periods from different [35:30] peoples that were here touched it and [35:31] they in a way you could look at it as [35:34] that they well on the one hand you could [35:35] be like well why' you mess up my [35:37] original building [35:38] >> but on the other hand it's like look we [35:40] were here also we also touched it okay [35:43] >> and it was of great value to [35:45] civilization that's been here [35:46] >> and they all understood that it was [35:47] Abraham. They all understood that this [35:48] is the path of of Abraham. You know, you [35:50] you want to hear a funny thought about [35:51] the Jews. [35:53] >> On the one hand, the Jews have lived [35:55] through all the big empires. [35:58] >> Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian, Greek, [36:02] Roman. We're still here. [36:03] >> Not always fairing so well through those [36:05] empires. [36:05] >> Absolutely. Yeah. [36:07] >> But you're still here. [36:08] >> Still here. [36:09] >> So on the one hand, we could have a [36:10] certain triumphalism like, well, we [36:12] overcame the Persians. they tried to [36:14] kill us and Hmon and all that. But [36:17] another way of looking at it is totally [36:19] differently which is we carry with [36:21] within us the Jews the memory of those. [36:24] We remember the Assyrians. We remember [36:27] the Persians. We remember their [36:28] strengths. We remember their culture. We [36:31] take it with us. Who else has something [36:33] like the scroll of Esther, [36:35] >> right? Where we remember their words, [36:37] where we remember their customs, we [36:39] remember their greatness, we carry it. [36:41] Absolutely. And so and so in a sense we [36:43] are like witnesses to those uh great [36:46] cultures [36:47] >> living testaments. [36:48] >> Yeah. We we remember them. Right. So [36:50] you're looking at these walls. It's [36:52] they're all here. I can hear them. My [36:54] mom, for example, big big intellectual, [36:56] big student of history. She loves the [36:57] crusaders. She's very interested in [36:58] them, you know. [36:59] >> Yeah. [37:00] >> She hears their footprints. They're [37:02] walking. She see she's, you know, and [37:04] and and I I think like for example, our [37:06] Passover meal in many ways, it's modeled [37:08] off after a Roman meal. Who else has a [37:11] Roman style meal? [37:12] >> You know what I mean? And yes, we talk [37:14] about the Exodus from Egypt and all [37:15] that. We remember Egypt. [37:17] >> Who who lives Egypt? We still remember [37:19] the pharaohs and we remember [37:21] >> Wow. [37:21] >> So, so, so, so I I take them with me. [37:24] >> Yeah. They're a part of you. [37:26] >> They're a part of me [37:26] >> everywhere you go. [37:28] >> Let's go to see the tomb of Jacob. [37:30] Remind me. Wait, hold on one second. I'm [37:32] having a senior moment here. Remind me. [37:33] Jacob had another name in the Bible. [37:35] What's that other name? [37:36] >> Jacob. [37:38] >> He had another name. [37:39] >> Israel. Israel, of course. What am I [37:41] thinking? Israel? [37:42] >> Because it was a true question. Yeah, of [37:43] course. Let's go see the original [37:45] Israel. Let's go visit. [37:46] >> Original Israel. On our way. [37:47] >> Let's do it. [37:49] >> We're in a very special room right now. [37:51] We're in the room of the matriarch [37:54] >> Leia. [37:56] Okay. Now, Rachel is buried in the tomb [37:58] of Rachel in Bethlehem. [38:01] >> Right. [38:01] >> Okay. Uh not here. [38:04] >> Okay. She was [38:04] >> on the way to Bethlehem between [38:06] Jerusalem and Bethlehem. [38:07] >> That's right. and she's still there to [38:09] this very day. Uh so she has her own [38:12] special place and if you need to cry, [38:14] you got some crying inside to do, you go [38:16] there. And [38:17] >> I've been there and it is it's it's an [38:19] emotional place. [38:20] >> Yeah, it's it there's so many including [38:23] the book of Jeremiah that says Rachel's [38:24] crying. She refuses to be consoled until [38:26] all her children are back home. Right. [38:28] >> So that's there here. Go ahead. that the [38:31] gathering of Israel. [38:32] >> The the in gathering of Israel, [38:33] >> what Rebecca is crying for. [38:35] >> And we just had a one of the hostages [38:37] bodies returned to us. That's part of [38:38] what [38:39] >> the last hostage. [38:40] >> That's right. The last hostage. Well, [38:41] not really. I don't agree with that. Uh [38:43] okay. [38:43] >> Yeah. No, it's not the last hostage. Not [38:45] at all. Uh the land of Israel is being [38:48] held hostage. So true. By the enemies of [38:50] Israel. So true. [38:50] >> Uh and when the jihad is in control of [38:53] beautiful Gaza, which is the Judeian [38:56] Judah's beach front property, uh then [38:58] that's a hostage. The land of Israel is [39:00] an entity. It feels. It cries. And so [39:03] I'm not consoled until the land of [39:05] Israel returns back into our hands. [39:06] >> The heartland of Israel. Judea. [39:08] >> That's right. And Gaza is the beach of [39:10] Judea. [39:11] >> I feel personally, you know, like I want [39:14] that beach. [39:14] >> That's a personal affront. [39:15] >> Yeah, it is. It is. And I was down there [39:17] in 2005 trying to block the state of [39:19] Israel from doing the stupid act of [39:20] giving away our land to our enemies [39:22] because giving our land to our enemies [39:24] is dumb. [39:26] You know, I I my first trip here, I [39:28] visited with some of the families that [39:30] had been expelled, Jewish families that [39:32] had been expelled from Gaza, [39:33] >> right? [39:34] >> What a heart-wrenching experience that [39:36] was. [39:37] >> But but what did we get out of it? Did [39:38] we get peace? Was it a smart political [39:41] move? Was it a smart security move? [39:43] >> Well, you got a lot of missiles and [39:46] October the 7th. [39:47] >> That's right. So, let's not do that [39:48] again. Uh and we're fighting to hold on [39:50] to Hebrron as well. We are now in the in [39:52] the we said we we see Leia. She gives [39:54] birth to very important children of the [39:57] 12 tribes, including Judah, the kingly. [40:00] Oh, by the way, I have another phrase [40:02] that that between Christians and Jews. [40:04] Here's the other phrase. Watch this. [40:05] Watch this. I I worked on this. Check [40:06] this out. [40:08] >> Can Jews and Christians agree that we [40:10] want to see the restoration of the house [40:12] of David? [40:13] >> Of course. [40:14] >> There you go. You see? You see age-old [40:16] 2,000 years of conflict I have solved [40:18] with this phrasiology. You see that? [40:20] >> You did. That's it. I love it. It's [40:22] simple. Can we agree to agree that we [40:24] want to see the restoration of the house [40:26] of David? [40:27] >> Yes. Period. Good. That that saga is now [40:31] is now cleared. Okay. We could we could [40:33] just, you know, if if we're we're both [40:35] lawyers, right? Yeah. [40:36] >> That's the that's that's the legal [40:37] construct to get rid of the problem. Um [40:40] >> the other the other thing is that I [40:42] wanted to show you here is the marker of [40:45] Jacob. And as we said before, Jacob is [40:48] Israel. Before I show you that, I want [40:50] to say show you that this room is in the [40:52] process of being fixed up. I can't [40:54] believe I can say this to you. I have [40:57] the privilege of helping fix up this [41:00] room. You see this lighting system? I [41:02] was able to put it in. [41:04] >> Good for you. [41:05] >> Congratulations. [41:06] >> Yes, sir. Uh there were these big old [41:09] icky chandeliers. We were able to get [41:11] rid of them and put in this beautiful [41:12] track lighting which which is maybe [41:14] modern, but it opens up the whole thing. [41:17] uh make us in much bigger and like and [41:20] we put in this AC and that was you know [41:22] like $15,000 because of the had to be [41:24] put with a crane and the whole thing. [41:26] I'm very proud of the work that we've [41:27] been able to do here. Okay. And and [41:29] there's much more to do. There's much [41:32] more to do to fix it and to give it the [41:34] honor that it deserves. [41:35] >> I'm seeing stained glass even. [41:37] >> That that's exactly what's planned over [41:38] there. You you you you sensed it. You [41:40] really sensed it. Let's now go and not [41:43] disrupt too many people, but let's go [41:44] see the marker of Jacob, who's also [41:47] known as Israel. Let's go over here. I [41:49] just want to show you there's an elderly [41:50] gentleman here. He is reading the [41:52] Psalms. Reading the Psalms. Wow. Psalms. [41:55] >> That's cool at Psalms, huh? Thank you, [41:57] King David. [41:58] >> Absolutely. [41:58] >> That's like, [41:59] >> yeah, [41:59] >> King David. [42:01] >> He's like Shakespearean, you know? [42:02] >> It's beautiful, aren't they? [42:03] >> It's an amazing thing. And this is the [42:05] marker of Jacob. Now, Jacob is Israel. [42:09] And so this is Jacob's marker. And the [42:11] good news is we came to the marker. We [42:13] came to the original Israel. The bad [42:14] news is that this Islamic controlled uh [42:17] thing is dusty. Has an icky old carpet [42:20] on it. And it's not looking the way that [42:22] >> this is as close as we could get. [42:24] >> This is as close as we can get. It's [42:26] interesting you say that because the [42:27] Cabala, the mystical doctrine of Judaism [42:32] says that if you knew [42:35] what power, what the holiness and [42:39] awesomeness of the tomb of Israel is, [42:42] you would walk on your hands and knees [42:44] for 12 kilometers, 12 miles. [42:48] >> It's okay. Uh licking the ground. [42:51] >> Wow. you would you would know the power [42:54] of this thing. [42:55] >> Amazing. [42:56] >> And that's where we're at today. [42:58] >> Wow. [42:58] >> And we need to do take the next step to [43:00] also make it look beautiful. Okay. Let's [43:03] pray together for a second. I think [43:04] personally that when it looks bad, it's [43:07] a reflection of where we are as a [43:09] society and our morality, our biblical [43:10] connection. If it doesn't look good yet, [43:12] that means that the barometer says we're [43:14] not there yet. Okay? Just like the third [43:16] temple's not there yet. The the tomb of [43:18] of Jacob needs to be beautified. Let's [43:20] pray to the Lord that when you come here [43:22] next time with more of your family and I [43:24] want to see the grandkids and the great [43:25] grandkids, okay? I want to see them all [43:27] here and with the help of God, they'll [43:28] come and see it. When they come to the [43:29] tomb of of Israel, they're going to be [43:31] like, "This wow, this is Israel that I [43:33] read about in the Bible. [43:34] >> I look forward to bringing my grandkids [43:36] and great grandkids." [43:37] >> Amen. Amen. [43:38] >> I want to I want to really uh bless you [43:40] for coming here today. I want to first [43:41] thing bless your uh that the law that [43:44] you the verdicts that that come through [43:46] your hands. May they be just. May they [43:49] be moral. May they reflect the great [43:50] values of both the United States uh of [43:52] South Carolina and also of God and the [43:55] Bible. And may may all the judgments [43:57] that come through come through, you [43:58] know, words of of honesty and truth and [44:01] reflective of God. Uh that's number one. [44:03] I want to bless your family uh and I [44:05] want to bless your great state of South [44:07] Carolina and also the United States and [44:09] and the peoples of the world that come [44:11] and what you're doing which is to try to [44:13] walk in the path of Abraham. So I want [44:14] to really send that blessing from this [44:16] place. [44:16] >> Thank you Isa. [44:17] >> Uh and thank you so much for coming here [44:19] today with a little bit of courage. By [44:21] the way, you drove in, right? You drove [44:23] in. You didn't take a armored bus and [44:25] all that. you just drove right in with [44:27] your family and and that that's that's [44:29] really very special and amazing and uh [44:31] and in your footsteps which is in the [44:33] footsteps of Abraham. May more people [44:35] come to have pilgrimage and share with [44:37] us this uh this beautiful testament to [44:40] the forefathers and mothers. [44:42] >> Thank you Isa. [44:43] >> Last thoughts. I give you last thoughts. [44:44] Go ahead. [44:45] >> Well, I you've blessed me. I I want God [44:48] to bless you that your work will [44:49] continue and be fruitful and that [44:52] through your work in spreading the word [44:55] of of [44:57] places like Hebrron where we are today [45:00] and the important [45:03] traditions of the Jewish world and the [45:07] the holy Torah that Christians and and [45:11] Jews both hold sacred that through your [45:15] work you will help open the eyes of my [45:18] Christian brothers and sisters as to the [45:20] importance of being united with our [45:24] Jewish brothers and sisters and looking [45:26] for those commonalities [45:28] >> that bind us together. [45:30] >> Um opening the eyes of the world as to [45:33] those values that join you and I and [45:37] make us brothers. [45:38] >> There's that pigeon. You saw that [45:39] pigeon? [45:39] >> I saw that pigeon pigeon. See? [45:40] >> Yeah. That pigeon says he's glad the [45:42] slingshot is gone. [45:43] >> That's right. Um, but bless you that [45:46] your work will continue and be [45:47] >> Thank you very much. Thank you very [45:48] much, Judge Alan Clemens from South [45:50] Carolina. Thank you. Great work for the [45:52] last 30 years for Israel. Uh, I want to [45:54] bless you guys out there wherever you [45:56] are. If you want to keep beautifying the [45:57] land of Israel and restoring places like [45:59] this, go to fight for Israel. Fight the [46:01] number foursel.org [46:03] or buy me a coffee.com. [46:06] Great way to support the show. [46:11] >> He says he says no talking. He doesn't [46:13] want He doesn't want He doesn't want [46:15] talking. He wants only prayers here. I [46:17] like what he's saying. [46:18] >> Let's Let's respect that. [46:19] >> That's right. God bless you folks [46:20] wherever you are. Lots of love and lots [46:22] of blessings and shalom. Okay. Postcript [46:24] to our tour is that no tour is complete [46:26] without a little bit of souvenir [46:28] shopping here at the Tomb of the [46:30] Patriarchs and Matriarchs. We're going [46:31] to go right now and check out to see [46:33] Allan and the family as they're doing a [46:35] little bit of shopping here in Hebrron. [46:36] Let's take a look. All right. [46:39] Okay, we got Keipas. [46:42] We got the Hebrron wines. They're very [46:45] good. [46:49] >> Okay. Yeah, the shopping part. Let's not [46:51] forget the shopping part. [46:53] >> No, it's great. [46:54] >> Look at the marin. [46:57] >> Beautiful, [47:00] >> Alan. Yes. The the shopping part. Is [47:02] that uh [47:04] >> awesome? [47:04] >> Well, it's awesome. Yes. According to my [47:07] wife, it's awesome. It's got good stuff [47:08] in the store, right? Good stuff. Okay, [47:10] we're going to take a look around. [47:13] >> Okay, more keepas [47:16] >> and minoras [47:20] and minoras [47:23] and chachkis. That's how we say little [47:25] souvenirs. [47:28] All right. And they've got great silver [47:30] in the store as well. Great beautiful [47:33] silver stuff, which is really cool. [47:39] And there's of course chauffear, as I [47:43] like to say. Chauffear. So good. [47:46] >> And there's Muzot. [47:49] Check out the Muzot here. Okay. [47:54] >> Yeah. [47:57] >> I can show you. [47:58] >> And cool cups. Oh, look at this [48:02] beautiful cup. So, when you're [48:44] here at the tomb of the patriarchs and [48:45] matriarchs, when you're here at the [48:46] mamas and papas, you can also have a lot [48:48] of fun uh by doing a little bit of [48:51] shopping and then going out and going to [48:54] the tomb itself. So that is the kind of [48:58] postcript to our little experience here [49:01] is uh we uh [49:04] >> we see the place and we got to take it [49:06] with us. We got to take it with us.
