Transcript [00:03] All right everybody, shalom and welcome [00:05] to the Isai Flesher show broadcasting [00:08] live from Judea to the world. You're a [00:11] part of it wherever you are. Shalom and [00:13] welcome everybody. And as we start the [00:15] live stream today, I want to hear from [00:16] everybody. So please just let me know [00:19] where you're from and send me your [00:22] blessings from all over the world. And [00:24] that's the way we like to start the show [00:26] today. So let me know where you're from. [00:28] And uh the war continues here. And today [00:30] I found out that the war uh affected me [00:34] personally in that uh I found out that [00:37] uh that I can't fly to America. I was [00:40] supposed to fly to the US uh on uh this [00:44] Wednesday night. I had a great gig and a [00:46] great synagogue, but uh that is um that [00:50] has been cancelled because the flights [00:53] are closed. The the the air is closed. [00:55] people are flying in a little bit but [00:58] not flying out and if you fly out you [01:00] don't really get a you don't get exactly [01:02] the right to fly back in. They tell you [01:04] like don't do it. So um that is the uh [01:08] that is the situation that we have uh uh [01:11] today in Israel is that rockets keep [01:14] falling and I can't fly out. And that's [01:17] too bad because I was going to go out to [01:19] the United States and uh and raise some [01:22] money and get people excited and connect [01:25] people to Israel and connect people to [01:26] the story, but that's not what's [01:28] happening right now. So, I'm grounded. I [01:31] think my family's happy about that. And [01:32] that's that's the real situation. Israel [01:34] is being, you know, Israel is being um [01:37] attacked. Check out what happened today [01:39] in central Israel. [02:04] Okay, so that's basically somewhere in [02:06] central Tel Aviv. The reason we're using [02:08] the term somewhere in central Tel Aviv [02:10] is because they don't want to tell us [02:11] exactly where it happened so that the [02:13] bad guys don't aim in that direction. [02:17] So uh please folks let me know where [02:19] you're from and send your blessings to [02:20] the land of Israel. Shalom from Tucson, [02:23] Arizona. Thank you very much. And from [02:25] Sweden, shalom. Uh and from Denmark, [02:28] thank you very much. Shalom to you sir. [02:31] Uh and so therefore definitely [02:32] definitely a lot of people sending [02:34] blessings from all over the world. Shut [02:35] from Oxford, UK. Thank you very much. My [02:37] brother Dove, nice to see you. Uh, and [02:40] says, uh, Sakitach says, "He flasher TV, [02:44] I'm supposed to be making aliyah on [02:46] April 15th. Praying I could still come. [02:48] I don't want to be homeless, stuck in [02:49] America burning money." Uh, certainly. [02:52] And we you listen, you've waited 2,000 [02:55] years. If you have to wait another [02:57] month, it's not going to be so bad. [02:59] Don't get too nervous. You're on the way [03:01] home. Sometimes there's things that slow [03:03] us down. We call it minote or makim. We [03:06] have all kinds of names from these [03:07] things. But don't don't stress. Don't [03:09] stress. You're on the way home. We got [03:11] shalom from Lok, Texas. We got shalom [03:13] from Mexico City. We got shalom from [03:16] North Carolina. We got shalom from [03:18] Kansas. We got shalom from the uh [03:21] Netherlands. We got shalom from the [03:23] North Sea. Probably Netherlands as well. [03:25] Shalom from Indiana. Shalom from [03:27] Australia. Uh shalom from Iraq. That's [03:30] right. That's that's amazing. You see, [03:31] we got people all over the world. Uh we [03:34] have uh folks from Arkansas and London, [03:39] people from all over the world are [03:40] joining us and thank you so much and [03:42] blessings to you indeed. Let's get right [03:45] to the show. We have with we have with [03:47] us the hostess with the mostess Mala [03:50] Fleer who joins us to start the program. [03:53] Ma, shalom. Welcome. [03:55] >> Hey Isai. We you know you you mentioned [03:57] as you were opening up the show that [03:59] we're happy that you didn't take your [04:01] trip out to America during this [04:03] difficult time in which there are [04:06] rockets flying and tea adome the red [04:09] alert in which we're running to the [04:11] shelters and everything like that and [04:13] you're right but what about my Amazon [04:15] deliveries [04:16] >> right [04:17] >> you know what I mean it's like the basic [04:20] security has been essentially I wouldn't [04:23] say that it's insured I mean you you [04:24] showed um pictures from central Israel [04:28] today. And you know, I could make I was [04:30] about to make a bunch of jokes um about [04:33] how security um has been established and [04:36] now we need our you know, spices and [04:38] makeup from Amazon. But um but the [04:41] reality is is that it's very much [04:43] ongoing the war here in the land of [04:45] Israel that um we had two soldiers [04:49] killed today, Ishi. one whose name has [04:51] been released, a Drews soldier um whose [04:55] memory should be a blessing, and another [04:56] soldier who um his name has not been [04:58] released yet, two soldiers killed along [05:02] the northern border with Lebanon. Uh [05:04] they were apparently hit in their D9 [05:06] with an RPG. Um and the the border up [05:10] there is very hot right now. You know, [05:12] if you're in different places in Israel, [05:13] you don't always get a sense of what's [05:15] going on throughout the rest of Israel. [05:17] Everyone seems to be pretty focused. Um, [05:20] you know, us regular civilians are [05:22] pretty focused on what's happening here [05:24] and now. We have our phones on ready to [05:27] receive red alert updates and we go to [05:29] shelter um when our red alert goes on, [05:32] but you don't necessarily know where red [05:34] alerts are happening throughout the [05:36] country as they are. And I know that in [05:38] places they call it central Israel, but [05:40] it's really western Israel. in western [05:42] Israel there where there are a lot of [05:44] military targets and infrastructure [05:46] targets and um uh you know big ticket [05:50] items for the uh Iranian mulas. So they [05:53] are um attempting to hit those and [05:56] they're attempting very hard. Um those [05:58] people are going into shelters anywhere [06:00] from 8 to 12 times a day which is a lot. [06:03] Um and then on the northern border [06:05] things are really heating up. Um and [06:08] Israel sent um a notice basically to [06:12] Lebanese people south of the Latani [06:15] River telling them to evacuate that [06:17] Israel is going to be engaging in [06:18] warfare all throughout southern Lebanon. [06:22] Um, and there is discussion here in [06:23] Israel as to what should happen um with [06:27] that land once um once those battles [06:31] take place that that terror continues to [06:35] um approach Israel from southern Lebanon [06:37] over and over and over again and that [06:38] maybe Israel should change its strategy [06:41] when it comes to that territory and not [06:43] allow those entities back into that [06:46] region again. Um, but as it is, I Isa, [06:48] you know, the uh you know, I'm here kind [06:51] of I think sometimes to represent like [06:53] the the moms of Israel, you know what I [06:56] mean? Like, how's it going? How much [06:57] soup did you make? How much laundry are [06:59] you doing? Um what's up with the kids? [07:01] And um you know, the I I have to say [07:04] that this generation of Israeli kids um [07:08] is really being asked to develop its [07:11] resiliency or resilience. I don't know [07:14] what's the right word. Um, but the [07:17] amount of things that this generation of [07:18] kids has gone through and been asked to [07:21] keep a stiff stiff upper lip for is [07:23] really astounding. You know, we had [07:25] COVID and we have the Gaza war and the [07:27] first Iran war and now another Iran war [07:30] um andah magically not destroyed, right? [07:33] Which is something that we all have to [07:34] pay attention to, right? that after two [07:37] and a half years of warfare in Gaza and [07:39] in southern Lebanon and they're telling [07:40] us that that we did it and we achieved [07:42] the war goals,ah [07:44] is magically still alive in southern [07:46] Lebanon and we're still dealing with [07:48] them yet again. So it should teach us [07:50] something about what accomplishing war [07:52] goals really means. Um but I have to say [07:55] that overall the children of Israel are [07:57] very strong. Um there's lots of humor, [08:00] lots of jokes being passed around on [08:02] social media trying to keep the spirit [08:04] up and and I have to say that the uh [08:07] early warning system in Israel um even [08:10] though it is invasive in the sense that [08:12] it will give you an early warning [08:14] because something has been launched out [08:16] of uh Iran or Iraq and then it may not [08:20] materialize because [08:22] >> I'm sorry I you're not uh your your [08:25] sound is [08:25] >> or Lebanon [08:26] >> or Lebanon. Okay. Right. Uh I haven't [08:28] experienced that personally, but but uh [08:30] for us it's the Iranian missiles, but [08:32] yes, out of Lebanon. But just because [08:34] you got an early warning doesn't mean [08:35] that you're necessarily going to get the [08:37] second warning, which is no, it's really [08:40] coming at you now. Go into the bomb [08:43] shelter. Um but because of our very very [08:47] solid advanced system, so it gives [08:50] people the opportunity to [08:53] get ready for whatever is coming. Um and [08:56] and there's not really a sense, at least [08:58] from my perspective and in our region [09:00] where we live, there's not a sense of [09:02] panic um or great uh burdensome fear all [09:06] the time. People are trying to more or [09:08] less live their lives. The kids are in [09:09] Zoom school again. Um they're meeting [09:12] with their teachers um and and that's [09:15] what they're up to, [09:16] >> right? Well, I have to say that the only [09:18] reason that Zoom school seems like a [09:21] normal life is because of Corona and [09:25] because of the war that started two and [09:27] a half years ago. Have you realized, [09:29] Malca, that we're really in the [09:30] continuation of the October 7th war? It [09:34] really just hasn't stopped. It's taken [09:35] different shapes, [09:37] right? And what's going on in Gaza? It's [09:39] been very quiet and we don't really know [09:41] what's going on because they haven't [09:42] been telling us. But really, we're in [09:44] this like long war and then there's a [09:47] war that hasn't even started yet, which [09:49] is the war in Judea and Samaria. Uh, and [09:53] so like we we like the only reason [09:56] school is now like operating maybe like [09:58] Corona was there in order to help our [10:00] kids not flip out so that we'd be like [10:03] ready to deal with this thing uh of this [10:06] of this as as uh who wrote here my [10:09] friend Enoch writes, "Zoom is not normal [10:11] life." It's not. But but when the kids [10:13] have they're they saw the I saw my son [10:16] Elazar had his rabbi today and they were [10:18] learning together and my other you know [10:20] my my all three kids our three kids were [10:22] were in school today by Zoom was not [10:25] normal. By the way speaking of abnormal [10:27] life here's a Tel Aviv wedding [10:30] >> that was done. By the way thank you [10:31] Emanuel for the super chat. Love you [10:33] both. God bless. I'm Israel Kai. Thank [10:35] you very much. [10:36] >> We love super chats and it's a great way [10:38] to connect us and strengthen our show. [10:40] Um, check out this Tel Aviv wedding, [10:43] Mala. Check out this Tel Aviv wedding in [10:46] >> a bomb shelter. That's the new normal. [11:20] What a beautiful video that is. It's a [11:23] It's one of the beauties. And that video [11:25] is about uh the Israeli people [11:29] continuing their effort to stay normal. [11:32] Uh and here's a here's an image of [11:34] something that's not normal. Check this [11:36] out. [11:58] Okay. So, this is uh this is a giant [12:01] missile that landed for look the size of [12:04] this thing and it's now being kind of uh [12:07] presented so people can see the size of [12:08] this thing. That's what's attacking us [12:10] and that's what hit the center of Israel [12:12] today. Uh and we have people injured [12:15] there. Uh we have once critically [12:17] injured uh and other people moderately [12:19] and and and uh and light injuries, but [12:23] people injured. And these things are and [12:25] if it wasn't for all our defense [12:27] systems, which by the way, there are [12:29] some reports that we're running out of [12:32] of uh of anti-missiles missiles, right? [12:35] These batteries [12:36] >> of um of the Iron Dome and of the other [12:40] names of these things. So, you know, [12:42] >> well, one of the issues, one of the [12:43] issues I just want to note, Isha, that [12:44] one of the reasons that is happening, [12:47] um, is because the kind of missile that [12:50] Iran is shooting at us is meant to suck [12:53] up our defense missile missiles. They're [12:55] using something called like cluster [12:58] warheads. [12:59] >> Yeah. Cluster bomb. Cluster. Yeah. It's [13:01] it's it it breaks into many uh [13:04] >> many, right? We used to call them in [13:07] when it was intercontinental ballistic [13:09] missiles. We had this thing called MV. [13:12] Okay, MV, multiple independent re-entry [13:14] vehicles. These are not as [13:16] sophisticated, but they are certainly a [13:18] very serious uh uh cluster bombs and and [13:21] and the uh the defense the missile [13:24] defense systems don't have a way to get [13:27] all the little side bombs that are [13:28] coming out. [13:30] >> Right. So, that's one of the things. But [13:32] I want to go back to that video that you [13:33] showed for a second, Isa. The video of [13:35] of the wedding. You know, a lot of [13:37] people [13:39] that you might know out there in the [13:41] listening audience, if they were told [13:43] that their wedding had to move down to [13:45] minus4 [13:47] level of the parking lot somewhere [13:50] would be very upset, right? They would [13:52] be crying. They would be broken. My my [13:55] wedding is ruined. This is not what I [13:57] imagined. [13:58] But look at that wedding. I wish that [14:00] you would pull it back up, Isa. I don't [14:02] know if you can play it without sound. [14:03] Look at those people here. We're going [14:05] to pull them back up. Are you pulling [14:06] them back up? [14:07] >> Yeah, I'll get it for you. Just a [14:08] second. [14:09] >> Okay. [14:09] >> It was It was really You're right that [14:11] it was And people are writing in the [14:12] comment section that it was something [14:13] really beautiful. Uh let me get that. [14:15] Let me get that for you. But go ahead, [14:16] keep explaining. [14:17] >> Okay. So, you're going to see these [14:19] people now this beautiful. Look how [14:21] elegant the bride is. Okay. She did not [14:24] think that her wedding pictures were [14:26] going to have a big minus4 in the back [14:28] of her wedding picture. Okay. I I'm 100% [14:31] confident that she had like a gorgeous [14:33] hall. Look at her beautiful girl, right? [14:36] Look at these people. Look at them. Look [14:37] at them. Do they seem upset? Do they [14:39] look defeated to you? Do they look [14:41] afraid to you? Do they look like Iran is [14:44] just making them quake in their little [14:45] boots and that they don't know how [14:46] they're going to move on? These people [14:48] are fine. They're not fine. They're more [14:50] than fine. This kind of thing, this, [14:53] look at that girl. This kind of wedding, [14:57] a resilience wedding is the most Jewish [14:59] thing there is. That's what people don't [15:01] understand about the Jewish people is [15:03] that we cannot be defeated. We can be [15:08] hurt. We can be killed. We can be chased [15:12] over here. We can be chased over there. [15:14] We can be wounded very badly. But you [15:17] cannot defeat a people like that. Can [15:19] you defeat that bride? You cannot defeat [15:21] that bride. Can you defeat that bride [15:23] and groom? False. You cannot defeat that [15:25] bride and look at that man. Do they seem [15:27] like their their lives are not going in [15:29] the right direction as a result of of [15:31] the Ayatollas? That guy does is not [15:33] going to make it. He's just too crushed. [15:35] Nobody's crushed. We are fine. The [15:38] Jewish people are alive. They're well. I [15:41] don't know what you have planned uh for [15:42] the rest of the show, Isa. I'm sure you [15:44] have oodles of goodies for the viewers [15:46] to watch uh throughout the course of [15:48] their show, but uh the course of your [15:50] show, but one of the things that I don't [15:52] know if you're planning on showing or if [15:53] you've already shown is people who have [15:56] moved into train stations, underground [15:59] train stations here in Israel. Um [16:01] because some of the buildings in western [16:04] or what they call central Israel are old [16:07] and they were built before there were [16:08] good bomb shelters. And these missiles [16:10] are no joke. As you saw the the picture [16:12] that you put up, I of these Iranian [16:14] missiles and and the damage they do, [16:16] it's real. It's very serious and and it [16:18] has to be taken seriously, fought [16:20] seriously, and everyone should follow [16:22] the uh guidelines of the homeront [16:25] command and and and be as safe as they [16:27] possibly can. But some of their houses [16:30] were built without bomb shelters, so [16:32] people moved into the train stations. [16:34] What do I mean move? Do I mean they [16:36] spend some hours a day down below ground [16:39] so that they don't have to deal with the [16:41] 8 to to 12 times a day that they have to [16:43] go into, you know, run down the the [16:46] street to some uh meat clock to some [16:49] bomb shelter. No, I mean mattresses, [16:53] refrigerators, [16:55] uh there are card games happening, [16:57] there's parties happening at night. [16:59] People are having a good time because [17:01] there is something that is activated in [17:03] the Jewish people. When we are asked to [17:06] stand up to an impossible situation, we [17:09] go impossible. I don't think so. This is [17:12] more than possible. And we are not going [17:14] to survive. We are going to thrive. And [17:16] that is the attitude of the people of [17:18] Israel today. Um we have lost people. [17:22] People have been injured. That is not [17:24] fake. I don't mean to be cavalier um [17:27] with the real lives that have been lost, [17:29] the real pain um damage to property and [17:33] the fears that people have. I I'm not [17:35] brushing all that away. But I am saying [17:37] to you that the nation of Israel is rock [17:40] solid [17:42] >> and that we hashem with the help of God, [17:44] we are seeing miracles. The people of [17:46] Israel understand that they're seeing [17:48] miracles. Um, we are grateful for [17:51] everything that has gone right and the [17:52] people are very, very eager to put an [17:56] end to the monstrous octopuslike threat [18:01] that has been, you know, reaching its [18:03] tentacles throughout the Middle East and [18:05] even into the Western world and planting [18:08] terrorism wherever it goes. And we I [18:11] believe that the nation of Israel [18:12] recognizes that now is a time in which [18:15] we can help not just set ourselves free [18:20] from the boogeyman that haunt us all the [18:23] time, but set the whole region free and [18:25] maybe the whole world free. And I think [18:27] that the people of Israel are very proud [18:30] to be fighting Operation Roaring Lion. [18:32] Um, and we're going to stay strong and [18:35] we're glad that you are tuning in to be [18:37] a part of it with us. and Isai, of [18:39] course, we're always grateful to you for [18:41] bringing uh the news and perspectives [18:44] from Israel out to the world. [18:46] >> Monica, thank you so much for joining [18:48] us. Uh if I could ask you to come back [18:50] at 7 for 7 to 7:20 for for another [18:53] little uh uh segment with you. That [18:54] would be a lot of fun. [18:55] >> All right, I'll I'll see what I can do. [18:57] >> God bless you, Ma. Thanks so much for [18:58] being with us. Thanks for giving us [18:59] strength. [19:00] >> Thank you. [19:02] >> All right, folks. Uh next up is uh a [19:05] perspective on the international scene. [19:08] international law, uh, international [19:10] reactions to, uh, what's happening right [19:13] now and the pressures that Israel has. [19:15] Israel has a lot of pressures, but maybe [19:17] President Trump has even more pressures. [19:19] And we're going to ask, uh, somebody [19:20] who's really an expert on international [19:22] law, and that is Professor Eugene [19:24] Karovich, professor George Mason [19:26] University uh, School of Law, and senior [19:29] research fellow uh, at the Heritage [19:32] Foundation. Eugene Kurovich, thanks so [19:34] much for joining us today. Good to be [19:36] with you, Shai. [19:38] >> All right. Um, before I even start with [19:40] any specific questions, give me give me [19:42] a view. You know, I have a feeling that [19:45] I along with other people are a little [19:47] bit siloed. We're siloed in inside of [19:49] our inside of our perspectives. My mom [19:51] was telling me that she was watching uh [19:53] uh American news and it looked like [19:55] Israel was barely even a part of this [19:57] war. You watch other news sources and it [19:59] looks like everybody hates this war. I [20:01] think I read in Vanity Fair. I clicked [20:03] through somewhere and it said this is a [20:05] deeply unpopular war with a deeply [20:07] unpopular president from the United [20:09] States perspective. So I'm asking you [20:11] give me a little bit of a sense of what [20:12] this looks like on the global scene. Um [20:16] the [20:18] in the United States, you know, I think [20:20] the reactions to this war are like [20:22] everything else, highly partisan. Uh [20:25] polling suggests the vast majority of [20:26] Republicans support it. Uh Democrats [20:30] don't. It's unclear why Democrats don't [20:33] because the, you know, Democratic [20:35] leaders have said they're committed to [20:38] preventing Iran from having a nuclear [20:39] weapon. Um, they have just said it's [20:42] impossible. It's impossible to do that [20:46] by military means. Iran is too strong. [20:49] So, uh, presumably, if they knew how [20:51] easily Iran could be, um, dealt with or [20:54] at least set significantly back, um, [20:57] their rhetoric would suggest they'd have [20:59] different views. Maybe in fact they [21:01] don't mind Iran having a nuclear bomb as [21:03] much as they um you know and globally uh [21:07] I think your reactions are complicated. [21:10] Nobody likes to you know nobody really [21:13] likes the idea of an Iranian nuclear [21:14] weapon. Um everyone understands [21:16] >> what what about liking what about liking [21:18] what the Iranian people like? Like [21:20] that's what's weird about about you know [21:22] progressives right now. It's like you're [21:23] seeing these ethnic people being like [21:25] thank you and BB you know rescue us [21:28] liberate us. You'd think that they'd [21:30] want the same thing when when they get [21:32] excited about so-called Palestinians, [21:34] right? You think that they'd be as [21:35] excited about about the Iranian people. [21:38] >> I it it's complicated, I think, because [21:42] first of all, nobody really cares too [21:44] much about the Iranian people. Uh the [21:46] progressives don't care about [21:47] Palestinians either, as evidenced by [21:49] their lack of interest, their oppression [21:52] in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, etc. But what [21:56] they do care about is Israel and the [21:58] Jews. [21:59] And I I think if you were to like do a [22:02] poll of European leaders, they'd say, [22:04] "We'd love we'd love the, you know, [22:05] Iran's nuclear weapon to magically [22:07] disappear." So, uh, this could be like [22:09] somebody doing them a favor, but the [22:11] fact that it's Israel makes it a tough [22:13] favor to appreciate. Uh it's, you know, [22:19] it's like if the kid you hate most in [22:21] high school, you know, who you have the [22:23] biggest rivalry with, [22:26] uh, comes and beats up your enemy for [22:29] you. [22:31] That's it's it's emotionally complicated [22:33] perhaps and and and that's what's [22:36] happening to the European countries. [22:37] they th this war. So, traditionally, the [22:41] UK, for example, has been a partner in [22:44] America in every major war since World [22:46] War I, in World War II, in Korea, uh, in [22:50] the Gulf Wars, [22:52] um, and it had an outsized military. The [22:55] UK is sitting this one out, and it [22:58] couldn't really help much if it wanted [22:59] to. Um, the Gulf States, many of whom, [23:04] you know, feed their people a steady [23:06] diet of anti-Semitic uh, information, [23:09] find themselves on the same side as [23:11] Israel, fighting a Muslim country. Uh, [23:16] so a lot of illusions are being [23:19] shattered [23:20] >> and that's not going to come easy for [23:23] for anyone. uh you know the the UK has [23:26] had an increasingly you difficult [23:29] relationship with Israel since really [23:32] 1956 since the collapse of the Suez [23:36] invasion in which Israel was a partner [23:38] with the UK and when it didn't work out [23:41] for the UK it worked out okay for Israel [23:44] but when it uh didn't work out uh for [23:46] the UK the way they wanted and they had [23:48] to withdraw and they couldn't prevent [23:50] the nationalization of the S canal uh [23:53] you know they blamed They blamed Israel. [23:55] Um, and I think a lot of countries, [23:58] >> wasn't it, wasn't it Eisenhower was to [23:59] blame? This isn't he? [24:01] >> So, Eisenhower ordered the ordered [24:04] everybody out. [24:06] And Israel had achieved at least its [24:08] short-term objectives, which was pushing [24:10] back the Egyptians. We actually got Gaza [24:13] um for uh for the first time since 1948. [24:17] Um, and made the mistake of leaving it [24:20] for the first time. Um the and in the UK [24:24] it was considered it was a boom like a a [24:28] mess up. Uh they've been mad at us ever [24:32] since. Uh and now we see that Israel is [24:35] America's partner. It's taking the place [24:37] of Britain. [24:38] >> Israel and America fighting side by [24:41] side. [24:42] >> And that image is so powerful and it's [24:46] so real. You don't need any propaganda. [24:47] The president's saying it. The president [24:50] is saying this. Sentcom every day has a [24:52] tweet. Wow, the Israeli Air Force is so [24:54] great. Oh, we love working with the [24:56] Israelis. They're just the best. They're [24:59] saying this every day, but it's but it's [25:00] not back to your first question. It's [25:02] not surprising that the American media [25:04] isn't so focused on the Israeli side of [25:06] it. I think that's proper. It's the [25:07] American media. They want to tell [25:08] America story. That's natural. [25:11] >> Okay. [25:12] um [25:14] you you look at the global picture, you [25:16] you realize as you're describing that [25:17] Europe is no longer really a useful [25:19] fighting force. You look at most of the [25:22] continents around the world, they're not [25:24] in great shape. They're certainly not [25:26] world leaders. You look at uh South [25:29] America, uh you know, a lot of good [25:31] people, a lot of good, you know, good [25:32] countries. You have a MLE there, but [25:34] they're not a fighting force. They're [25:35] certainly not out there, you know, [25:36] pushing back the bad guys. Now you have, [25:39] you know, the United States and Israel [25:42] really showing that there's a there's a [25:44] might. And there was a meme that came [25:46] out this week, which I laughed out loud. [25:49] It was a picture of a uh convention for [25:52] for military hardware sales. And this is [25:56] an AI picture, and it had Israel selling [25:58] all this technology, and right next door [26:00] was France uh with a lot of white flags [26:03] at their table, and that's what they [26:04] were selling as military hardware. So [26:06] you you really have something [26:09] you really have a a change in in in who [26:12] is a powerful player out there. [26:15] So I wanted to ask you about that. I [26:17] also wanted to ask you about what is the [26:19] bigger war here? Like for us, for [26:21] Israel, for me, I'm thinking there's [26:24] jihadis. I want them pushed back. Uh [26:27] Iran has missiles. Iran has potential [26:30] nuclear weapons and nuclear material and [26:33] it has these proxies. So that's my war. [26:37] But Trump's war is different. There's a [26:39] China behind this thing. There's chi [26:41] there's energy that goes towards China. [26:43] It's like is Israel once again a uh [26:47] what's it called when you have like a a [26:49] war a local war but it's really by [26:51] superpowers [26:53] >> like is this a proxy war that we're that [26:55] we're in right now? Like what's the [26:56] bigger picture that I'm than what I from [26:59] Israel see? [27:00] >> Okay. So, um, Isra to to the first [27:04] point, Israel is perhaps one of the few [27:06] countries in the world that can now [27:07] effectively project force. Uh, what I [27:10] mean is it's not, you know, and we're [27:12] not fighting now in a neighboring state. [27:14] We're not even fighting in a neighboring [27:15] neighboring state. This is two countries [27:17] away. Uh, and that's um it's [27:21] significant. Very few uh countries can [27:23] can mount that or more importantly, I [27:25] think would be willing to. Uh again, [27:28] it's not that France and Britain, if [27:30] they wanted to invest their money and uh [27:33] sort of national attention into [27:35] rebuilding their military, couldn't have [27:37] powerful armed forces like they [27:40] previously had. These are extremely [27:41] wealthy countries. They have [27:43] hardworking, intelligent, productive [27:44] people in it. These are choices that [27:46] they have made about what their [27:48] priorities are. uh you know you can't [27:51] have uh you know 35 hour work weeks and [27:54] uh you know earlier retirement like they [27:56] do in France and also be a world power [28:00] the globally I don't think this is a [28:02] proxy war in the in the traditional [28:04] sense um I do want to say about proxy [28:07] wars you know there's a reason America [28:11] allied for so many decades starting in [28:14] the 1960s with the Soviet Union and it's [28:17] important to say what that reason is [28:18] because people get it wrong it It is not [28:20] the Jews. It is not the Jews. The reason [28:23] America [28:24] allied with Israel [28:27] was because the Soviet Union backed the [28:30] Arab countries. The Arab countries got [28:32] in bed with the Soviet Union. And in the [28:34] world of Cold War, you were either with [28:35] us or against us. Israel was happily and [28:39] naturally and proudly on America's side. [28:42] Uh from, you know, quite early on. and [28:45] uh from NASA at least the Arabs decided [28:47] to get in bed with with the Soviets. So [28:50] Israel was the one bastion of [28:53] pro-western pro- US uh anti-communist [28:58] um ironically right because it was a [29:00] socialist country but a very [29:01] anti-communist in uh in in the Middle [29:04] East. Then the Soviet Union collapsed [29:07] and interestingly a new force emerged [29:11] political Islamism [29:14] and Israel was again [29:16] naturally allied with the United States. [29:19] Now uh you know it may not be a [29:21] coincidence at this point. We we may [29:22] just be you know maybe Israel is just [29:24] the good guys naturally but um in the in [29:27] the fight against uh Shia uh you know [29:30] Shia domination of the Middle East is a [29:32] is a natural ally. Now that does now [29:35] that China does benefit from Iran and [29:38] support Iran. They have a bilateral [29:40] relationship, but it's not a proxy in [29:42] the old-fashioned sense. Part of [29:44] America's calculations here clearly [29:46] involve strategically isolating [29:49] China, cutting off both their places to [29:52] sell their weapons, uh sources of uh [29:55] sources of energy. But uh you know that [29:58] that's a benefit uh and maybe an [30:00] important one for for Trump. But I think [30:02] you can't take for, you know, you [30:04] shouldn't discount the very basic reason [30:05] for this war. Uh, which President Trump [30:08] said quite explicitly. They tried to [30:10] kill him. They tried to kill the former [30:12] defense min secretary of the United [30:14] States and they've killed thousands of [30:16] US troops over the years to very [30:20] recently. It's a country dedicated to [30:22] death to America. Now, the fact that it [30:25] also has broader geopolitical benefits, [30:27] that's like icing on the cake. [30:29] >> Uhhuh. makes this a smart move rather [30:32] than a self-defeating one. [30:35] >> The knock-on benefits are positive. Um [30:39] but uh so so I don't think Israel's a [30:41] pawn in anything. Um you know, America [30:44] has a broader vision that this fits into [30:46] and that's and that's great and that's [30:47] not contradictory to Israel's interest. [30:50] >> Uh I I I didn't use the word pawn [30:52] because we're not we don't feel like a [30:55] pawn right now. we feel like we're [30:56] actually getting a chance to get out [30:59] there and to and to project that [31:02] strength and to show that military [31:04] strength. And I think at the end of this [31:05] thing when the dust settles whenever [31:07] that'll be and by the way I was supposed [31:08] to fly out this week on Wednesday all [31:11] just uh officially told me that my my [31:13] flight is canceled which makes sense but [31:15] I was still thinking maybe I you know [31:17] I'll be out there speaking in New York [31:19] City uh this Shabbat didn't work out. Uh [31:22] but but Israel is when the dust settles [31:24] after this whole thing, people are going [31:26] to be like, "Whoa, that Israel is a [31:28] powerful country." Uh [31:30] >> and that's going to that that that is [31:32] going to bring with it both admiration [31:35] and hatred. [31:37] >> The the So there is a kind there is [31:41] another there's another struggle being [31:43] waged here. Apart from the struggle um [31:48] against Iran specifically, there's a [31:50] struggle about what is Trump dedicated [31:53] to? What is the essence of Trump? He [31:55] says it very clearly. Trump is not a [31:57] subtle guy. MAGA, make America great [32:00] again. And there has been a narrative [32:04] that has cropped up since the 50s that [32:08] America and other Western countries are [32:10] the source of badness in the world. [32:14] Even when there's clear proximate causes [32:17] for badness like the Ayatollah was [32:18] massacring people, it's because the CIA [32:21] had a coup in the 50s against a guy who [32:24] was a a commi really. But uh the story [32:28] is we everything is to Iran, even Iran, [32:32] even the Mullers really it's America's [32:35] fault. And this comes from I think just [32:37] a deep inner abandonment of faith in the [32:40] American project. uh you know people [32:43] talk about self-hating Jews but I think [32:45] you know self-loathing westerners u a [32:48] common a common thing it's a lack of [32:51] faith in one's national project a kind [32:53] of nihilistic [32:56] self-defeating it's hard for me to [32:58] understand because I don't share but now [33:00] you see that both on the left and on the [33:02] right [33:04] um you know it's mandami [33:06] and taka America's to blame for [33:08] everything um American involvement [33:12] causes problems and that requires you to [33:16] accept great national humiliations. [33:18] Right? You're going to have these [33:19] countries take your people hostage. And [33:22] I don't mean in 1979. I mean a few years [33:24] ago when they took a whole boat of [33:26] American sailors hostage and paraded [33:28] them around on their knees to kill your [33:30] soldiers. [33:32] And we can't really do anything about it [33:34] because it's our fault. We need to [33:35] understand their perspective. And uh we [33:38] see this you know in its highest form in [33:41] the UK where the prime minister gave a [33:45] speech saying he saying this is what he [33:48] said it it was the biggest nonsequator [33:50] ever. He said yeah we know Iran is very [33:52] bad and they're very dangerous and it's [33:53] very bad if they get a nuclear weapon. [33:55] We know they're really so bad they [33:58] actually tried they had 20 attempted [34:01] fatal [34:02] attacks in our country on dissident and [34:06] Jews. I don't know if you like that [34:08] maybe that makes it better or so they [34:09] tried to kill like some 20 dissident and [34:11] Jews la last year and that's why we're [34:14] not going to do anything. That should [34:16] have been a resignation speech. He let [34:18] them get away with 20 attacks. He's only [34:21] mentioning it now [34:23] and so we're not going to do anything. [34:24] So Trump is the opposite of that and I [34:27] think Americans are truly a proud people [34:30] and Americans uh you know are still in [34:32] touch with their sense of national [34:34] greatness. That's why they elected [34:35] Trump. Um and they don't they don't want [34:38] their country to be the Carrie Starmer [34:40] UK. Uh they they want it to be a country [34:43] of strength and broad which it which it [34:45] can be. [34:48] I want to play. We're speaking with [34:50] Eugene Kurovich uh who is uh an expert [34:54] uh on international law. He's a [34:56] professor at George Mason University Law [34:58] School, senior researcher at uh Heritage [35:02] Foundation in Washington DC. I want to [35:05] play a few clips and I want to hear your [35:07] uh your reactions to them. Uh first is [35:11] uh an Iranian minister, the Iranian [35:13] foreign minister speaking himself. Check [35:14] this out. Actually, [35:17] we believed that because the [35:19] negotiations were going poorly that the [35:22] Iranians were going to be the first to [35:23] strike at us. And that's why we did this [35:26] preemptive attack. [35:28] >> Lies after lies. And and I'm really [35:30] sorry because we as Iranians, we regard [35:34] the American public, the American [35:36] citizens, we regard them smart enough to [35:39] recognize what their administrations are [35:43] doing and are are suggesting to them. [35:47] They should not believe these lies. [35:51] I I I I I again refer to the words of um [35:56] Ben Netanyahu who said that the decision [35:58] to attack Iran was made during the first [36:02] term of uh President Trump in office. So [36:06] in a way all this negotiation this [36:09] diplomatic process has been a sham. It [36:12] has been a sort of deception. And and I [36:15] I don't want to say that we didn't know [36:17] that they intended to attack Iran. They [36:21] just [36:23] wanted to find an excuse. Still, out of [36:27] our responsible approach towards our own [36:30] people, towards the region, we didn't [36:34] reject the idea of [36:37] getting together and trying to talk to [36:40] the United States. And that's what we [36:42] do. what we did during the past nine [36:44] months, two times we tried our best, but [36:49] at the end of the day, they betrayed [36:51] diplomacy. And I think that's a shame [36:53] for the American uh diplomacy. That's um [36:56] a discredit for for the United States as [37:00] a negotiating partner uh globally. [37:03] >> Okay. So there's the deputy foreign [37:05] minister is Bahi B. [37:10] I don't know. I don't know. In any case, [37:12] he is out there uh sounds very [37:14] reasonable. He says, "Listen, we tried [37:15] to negotiate in good faith and the [37:18] Americans and the Israelis already [37:19] decided a long time ago to attack us." [37:21] And then conversely, there was this [37:22] fabulous interview [37:25] um with uh with with Mark Levvin SP [37:29] speaking with uh uh what's his name? Um [37:34] with with not not with Kushner, with uh [37:36] >> Whit. [37:38] >> With Wickoff. That's right. Name escaped [37:39] me suddenly. Uh and Whitov gave an [37:41] excellent, by the way, I was very [37:42] impressed with his uh with his [37:44] explanation. He's like he detailed every [37:46] aspect of them trying to come to real [37:48] terms with the Iranians and how the [37:49] Iranians uh skirted it every time and [37:52] and gave them a sense that they are uh [37:55] not willing to part with their nuclear [37:57] weapons and and made it very very clear. [37:59] So um how do you understand what uh what [38:03] the Iranian deputy foreign minister said [38:05] there? [38:06] >> Um listen, I don't put a lot of [38:07] confidence in this guy. Uh, I don't know [38:09] if he even knows what's going on. He's [38:11] obviously not so important because he's [38:12] uh alive. Uh, but notice he has he has [38:16] his window window shades down. Um, all [38:20] the way. Uh the look we know that you [38:24] know we know that Trump didn't have it [38:25] out to attack Iran you know since time [38:28] of memorial because just earlier like [38:32] less than a year ago he actually stopped [38:34] Israel on the 12th day of the 12-day war [38:37] from delivering out you know a strong [38:38] strike to Iran. So this is not some guy [38:41] who was conspiring with Israel. You know [38:43] Trump always wants to give everyone a [38:44] chance. That is his way right. He is [38:47] truly, you know, he's not afraid of war, [38:49] but he truly prefers a negotiated [38:52] solution. And uh he didn't think had to [38:54] go as of June or whatever the 12- day [38:57] war was. Um then it turned out that they [39:01] were truly, you know, bent on nuclear [39:03] enrichment. I think um you know I think [39:07] the MAS are are probably right to feel a [39:09] little bit shocked and um jerked around [39:14] because they got used to you know they [39:16] had uh eight years of um [39:20] >> four years of uh Biden or the auto pen [39:24] and they they were told they can have [39:26] their cake and eat it too. They're going [39:27] to get paid. They're going to keep [39:28] they're going to keep enrichment. [39:29] They're going to get everything. [39:31] And um I think they so they came to [39:34] negotiations with Trump with unrealistic [39:35] expectations. Um again, he seems to only [39:39] be referencing nuclear program. [39:40] Obviously, there's a lot more that the [39:42] Trump administration is expecting from [39:43] Iran, such as ending ballistic missile [39:45] production because we see those missiles [39:47] were really designed to target uh [39:50] neighboring uh neighboring nations. Um [39:53] you know, they got the they went like to [39:56] target their Arab neighbors so fast. I [39:59] think that shows a lot about the regime. [40:01] Now, it's not that they're lashing out [40:03] because they're desperate. This is not a [40:05] normal thing, right? Um, you know, [40:07] countries can be on the defensive and [40:09] losing a war without attacking everyone, [40:12] right? You know, when uh when when when [40:15] you know when [40:16] >> attacking, by the way, we're talking [40:17] about we're talking about we're talking [40:18] about ballistic missiles hitting Dubai, [40:21] Bahrain, we're talking about we're [40:23] talking about serious damage. We're [40:25] talking also about countries who are not [40:26] so prepared. There are no early warning [40:28] systems in some of these places. They [40:30] certainly don't have sirens and stuff [40:31] like that. They don't have bomb [40:32] shelters. Israel's like, "Oh, [40:33] infrastructure is ready for this." [40:34] >> Ukraine did not respond to the Russian [40:36] invasion by shooting rockets at Poland, [40:39] Romania, and Hungary. And we'd think [40:41] they'd be psychopaths if they did. But a [40:44] lot of people are trying to make up [40:45] stories why, in this case, Iran has no [40:47] choice. What else can they do? Look at [40:49] Ukraine. There's a lot else they can do. [40:51] um the uh uh including lose honorably uh [40:55] without you know attacking all all of [40:57] the neighbors. So the ballistic missile [40:59] program the the proxy armies um you know [41:03] I think uh I think this is also very [41:05] hard for Iran to digest because they're [41:07] not used to fighting on their own [41:08] territory. The whole model of Iran for [41:11] 40 years has been to fight the Zionist [41:14] entity down to the last Arab. And they [41:16] did that in in Gaza. They they're doing [41:18] that in Lebanon with the Houthis. [41:20] they're willing to sacrifice Arab [41:22] populations in their war, you know, uh, [41:24] without limit. Um, it wasn't supposed to [41:28] come back home. I can tell you, I wrote [41:29] an article on October 7th, uh, 2023, [41:33] right after I turned on my computer for [41:35] Shabbat, um, saw what happened. I wrote [41:38] an article that was published a day or [41:39] two later in the Wall Street Journal, [41:40] and I said, "Call it the Gaza Iran war." [41:45] that this is not just an attack by [41:48] Hamas, Hamas and Hezbollah. Um, this is [41:51] uh really the Iranian strategy of [41:54] surrounding Israel in a ring of fire. [41:58] Uh, this is this is the the final act in [42:00] it. And the only way this war is going [42:02] to be won is not in Gaza, but in Tran. [42:05] Biden was president then. It seemed very [42:07] far away. Um, but but but finally we are [42:10] we are getting there. Uh uh you know [42:12] it's been truly epic like in the sense [42:15] Israel has been like a character in a [42:18] video game where on each level it has to [42:20] take out the bad guy for that level like [42:23] Hamas Hezbollah Assad and now it's [42:26] reaching finally the the main bad guy. [42:29] There's going to be a lot of resistance [42:31] uh in the world because this alliance [42:33] between the US and America it is such a [42:35] powerful force for the west. Um, a lot [42:38] of people are going to react negatively [42:40] uh to that because it means the West is [42:43] back. America's great again. [42:44] >> I have I have a I have a video [42:46] describing just that. Here is uh [42:49] California Governor Gavin Nuome talking [42:53] about this war and Prime Minister [42:55] Netanyahu as well. Check this out. [42:57] >> To Israel [42:59] um um a week or two after October 7th I [43:04] I met with President Herzog. I met with [43:07] BB in a bunker. I I before I left, I got [43:14] crates because we brought a field [43:16] hospital. [43:18] I went to the hospital in Israel to meet [43:20] with victims uh and family members. So, [43:24] he's brandishing the liberal bonafidees [43:26] here, right? He's doing the good guy [43:27] work. [43:28] >> What's that? He went to visit. He is [43:30] caring. He loves Israel. He's he's he's [43:32] he's bringing, you know, uh uh helping [43:34] the the injured and the injured [43:36] families. So So he's okay. He's what is [43:39] this called? Virtue signaling, right? Uh [43:41] after the atrocities of October 7th. And [43:44] and so I just want I want to level set [43:46] on that basis. What I can't accept today [43:50] though is what BB Netanyahu is doing in [43:55] Israel. And I just can't countenance [43:57] that. And and that was, you know, good [43:59] people can disagree. I I don't like I [44:02] don't like the direction he's going. And [44:04] I was specifically referring to a Tom [44:06] Freriedman column last week where Tom [44:10] used that word of apartheid as it [44:12] relates to the direction BB is going [44:13] particularly on the annexation of the [44:15] West Bank and and I you just I can't sit [44:18] back in the spirit of this book in the [44:21] spirit you know uh that define marriage [44:24] equality and this you know in in terms [44:26] of you know my values and beliefs and [44:29] watch that I I disagree with BB on you [44:32] know I I went on meet press. I I said, [44:35] you know, it's about a year ago he was [44:36] doubling down on stupid, just abandoning [44:38] a two-state solution. And so, yeah, I'm [44:41] I'm pointed in that respect and I'm very [44:44] angry uh with what he is doing and why [44:48] he's doing it, what he's going to [44:50] ultimately try to do to the Supreme [44:51] Court there, what he's trying to do to [44:52] save his own political career. And so, [44:54] forgive that outrage. [44:57] So there's Gavin Newsome uh during [44:59] during when Israel is fighting an [45:00] existential war ripping us about Judea [45:03] and Samaria, ripping Prime Minister [45:05] Netanyahu about ending the two-state [45:06] solution which is like oh my god who's [45:08] even talking about that. That's like so [45:10] 10 years ago at at the very tail end of [45:12] it. Nobody's even talking about that [45:14] now. Uh but there he is out there, you [45:16] know, showing brandishing this showing [45:18] the first he's, you know, a good guy. [45:19] He's pro Israel, but he hates Netanyahu [45:21] and what he's doing. What do you think [45:23] about that? [45:24] >> He didn't say he's pro- Israel. What he [45:26] said is he likes dead Jews. Uh that's [45:29] and we've seen this before. Boy were [45:32] Jews popular in 1945. 1948 [45:36] that's complicated. People like Jews [45:39] when they're powerless, when they are a [45:42] victim, when they are the sacrificial [45:45] lamb, when they turn the other cheek, um [45:49] when they are weak. [45:52] It's typical, you know, liberal victim [45:55] uh fetishization. [45:57] Jews are fine so long as they're getting [45:59] killed. So, we Jews don't feel that way. [46:04] We really like ourselves a lot better [46:05] when we're not getting killed. Um and [46:08] have a political project that's designed [46:10] to uh prevent them. Um so, he likes us [46:13] when we're getting everything since [46:14] then. October 7th, that was good. [46:17] October 8th, 9th, 10th, things are good. [46:20] Then we go into Gaza. Not good anymore. [46:24] So, so that's not called supporting [46:25] Israel. That is called trying to keep, [46:28] you know, you you're willing to keep the [46:30] victim alive for further abuse, but not [46:33] help them defeat their abuser. Uh that's [46:36] that's a kind of torture. Um and the the [46:42] fact that he quotes Tom Freriedman. If I [46:44] had time, I'll write a whole lot. Tom [46:46] Freriedman. The Iran war is really [46:50] could be read as an extended example [46:55] of [46:56] what's wrong with Tom Freriedman and a [46:58] world where Tom Freriedman can seriously [47:00] be cited as an expert. Tom Freriedman [47:03] for decades has been saying nothing can [47:06] be done about Iran militarily. He had so [47:08] many stories. The Israeli planes can't [47:10] fly far enough. The you they can't go [47:12] over Iraqi airspace. Jordan's not going [47:14] to let them. It's not going to work like [47:16] this. It's not going to work like that. [47:17] He had um the uh he had all these crazy [47:22] ideas. What was he had an idea Bushir [47:25] for Yeetsahar [47:27] that if Israel would give up some Yeshu [47:31] then Saudi Arabia would pressure Iran [47:34] and then like they'd make some nuclear [47:36] deal. Well, so it looks like um it looks [47:40] like uh they got the nuclear reactor [47:42] without giving up the towns that Tom [47:44] Freriedman was saying. Uh the so he's [47:49] been wrong about everything to do with [47:51] Iran and it must be horrible for him and [47:53] he's the authority that Gavin Newsome is [47:56] is isite is citing. Um, and as for the [48:00] Supreme Court, [48:02] uh, all all that Netanyahu is doing is [48:05] trying to inject a little bit of the [48:09] American system into the Supreme Court. [48:11] The American system where the Supreme [48:13] Court judges, they can't be fired by [48:15] politicians. They're not answerable to [48:17] politicians, but they're at least in the [48:18] first instance selected by elected [48:21] representatives of the people. [48:22] Currently, the Supreme Court justices in [48:24] Israel are selected by representatives [48:27] of the Supreme Court. court uh and [48:29] lawyers who always agree with him. Um [48:31] and so it is a system that is completely [48:34] out of sync with Israeli democracy, has [48:36] no democratic legitimacy unlike the US [48:38] Supreme Court. Um and uh and Netanyahu [48:41] wants to change that. I don't know why [48:42] Gavin Newsome finds the American Supreme [48:45] Court model uh so terrible. It certainly [48:48] doesn't recommend him well as a [48:49] presidential candidate, but I must say [48:52] nice hair. [48:53] >> That's right. No, the guy the guy looks [48:55] good. Come on. Give give him I I got [48:58] Yeah, I gotta give him. [49:00] >> Yeah. And what about Mamani and his [49:02] excellent accent when he mentions the [49:04] prophet Muhammad? He's got the whole [49:06] thing going on. He's like he's right [49:07] there. He's he's right there. Uh and and [49:10] yet he, you know, we can't underestimate [49:12] these people. They are powerful and they [49:14] have an impact. And uh Yu pointed out [49:18] correctly that this is uh the platform [49:20] for running for the next presidential [49:22] campaign. Uh and that's what he's laying [49:24] out there. He he looked good. His [49:26] clothes look good. He must have had them [49:28] uh he must have had taken them to the [49:29] French Laundry. That's that's the that's [49:31] actually it's a restaurant. That's the [49:32] place where he would uh have parties [49:34] during CO when everybody was locked [49:35] down. [49:37] >> Fancy place. [49:38] >> Let's watch one more video. Uh here's [49:41] Danny Denon, Israel's representative to [49:42] the United Nations speaking about this [49:45] war. I'd like to get your comments on [49:46] this as well [49:48] >> to the media. Yesterday, [49:50] an Iranian missile crossed the region [49:53] and was intercepted above Turkey, a NATO [49:58] member, before being shot down. [50:02] More than 780 [50:05] missiles fired, [50:07] more than 1,600 [50:10] rounds launched. Six days, 13 countries. [50:16] Iran has struck more Arab countries [50:20] than Israel has in its entire existence. [50:26] This is a regime going down and trying [50:30] to set the entire region on fire as it [50:34] falls. [50:35] It will not work. [50:38] to the people of Israel, to our [50:40] neighbors in the region, and to the [50:43] Iranian people who are paying a price [50:46] for this regime's recklessness. [50:49] Be patient. [50:51] We are advancing. [50:53] It is only a matter of time before the [50:56] rocket fire is minimized and their [50:59] capabilities [51:01] are dismantled. [51:03] Every day, their capabilities shrink. [51:07] Every hour we together with the US [51:11] degrade, destroy and dismantle their [51:15] launch sites and stockpiles. [51:17] The volume of missiles they are firing [51:20] is already falling and we are only six [51:24] days in. They are getting weaker and [51:28] weaker. [51:30] >> Okay, so speaking of good hair, Danny [51:32] Denon looking good there as well. Uh, I [51:35] think I think we can both say that he [51:36] was, you know, represents Israel [51:39] decently at the the United Nations. What [51:41] do you think about what he says? You [51:42] think that um, you know, is Israel can [51:45] Israel be perceived as as what I call [51:47] liberation nation? I came up with that, [51:49] by the way, trademark. [51:50] >> It's certainly going to help liberate [51:52] the Iranian people. Mhm. [51:55] >> Um the the real [51:59] lack of reaction in the world to uh the [52:03] massacre of at least 30,000 people by at [52:07] least in two days maybe two three days [52:09] the largest single day massacre I think [52:12] uh in recent decades uh is is um [52:17] extraordinary. Uh and you know the Iran [52:21] is it's a big nation. It's close to 100 [52:23] million people there. They deserve to be [52:25] free of the um of the uh of the Mua [52:30] regime. Uh I think it's I love that [52:32] statistic that uh Iran has in the past [52:35] week attacked more Arab nations than [52:37] Israel ever has uh total. That's that [52:40] that's amazing. Uh but I think also the [52:43] Arab the Arab countries are getting [52:44] this. Israel is not an enemy of the Arab [52:46] states. uh I think the Arab you know [52:49] that era of inherent uh enmity is is is [52:53] really coming to an end. Even now the [52:56] countries that are sort of most ardently [52:58] against Israel have been the Iran's [53:00] proxy states uh or states where Iran has [53:04] a strong proxy presence. [53:07] um the you know but at the same time [53:10] that's also a threat to many Arab [53:12] countries where liberation is not like [53:14] uh something the government would [53:16] necessarily want and again the the good [53:19] comes with the good comes with this dose [53:21] of humiliation right the Israel is the [53:25] liberator of Muslim peoples how does [53:27] that make you know the people who [53:30] >> how does that makes theological sense [53:32] >> yeah how does that make the people whose [53:33] job you know you might think that would [53:35] be uh feel um the [53:40] so you know as I understand of much of [53:43] of modern Arab Israeli history uh much [53:48] of it has been driven by a sense of deep [53:50] humiliation [53:52] over their uh stunning military defeats [53:54] in 1948 56 673 etc. The word Nakba was [54:00] originally coined by a Syrian ba'ist [54:04] uh intellectual to refer to the 1948 [54:07] war, the war of independence, but not to [54:10] the uh Arabs who fled mandatory [54:14] Palestine, but rather to the defeat of [54:16] the militaries of the Arab countries who [54:19] saw themselves as being industrial, as [54:21] being 20th century countries were beaten [54:24] by a nation that you know didn't have an [54:27] air force. [54:28] uh that didn't have an army. Uh and that [54:31] was a humiliation which which which [54:33] taught a lesson about the need to [54:34] modernize and they made a mistake and [54:36] equated modernizing with becoming Soviet [54:39] satellites and socialism and baism. Uh [54:42] but but that sense of humiliation was [54:44] very powerful. Um so so I think you know [54:47] seeing Iran [54:49] whooped by Israel will cause mixed [54:52] feelings and and resentment and and envy [54:55] of powerful forces also. [54:58] Indeed they are. Uh Eugene Katarovich, [55:00] you're also a regular opinion writer in [55:03] the Wall Street Journal. Uh you're also [55:06] um a professor at George Mason [55:08] University Law School and senior [55:10] researcher at Heritage. Just before I [55:13] let you go, one last question. Uh what's [55:16] going on, just short, what's going on [55:18] with Gaza? What's going on with the [55:20] Houthies? I'm not hearing much about [55:22] them right now. [55:23] >> Is that is that are missiles coming [55:25] there at some point? Go ahead. on [55:27] Twitter. Follow me at EV Conovich. K N T [55:30] O R O V I C. Um where I discuss all [55:34] these topics on a daily basis. Um it [55:37] shows you that boton friendship is [55:39] cheap, right? Iran propped up uh these [55:43] uh forces uh as a as a as a kind of s [55:48] spear in Israel's side. But um they see [55:52] Iran going down. who wants to be the [55:54] last Arab to die for the [55:57] Persian Shia regime. Uh you don't see a [56:00] lot of people lining up and [56:01] volunteering. Um and you know Iran [56:05] thought that it could activate all of [56:06] these proxy forces, but that's only if [56:08] it seemed like it had a reasonable [56:10] chance of winning. I think you know the [56:13] best sign that Iran is truly you know in [56:16] a very difficult situation and that the [56:18] regime might not survive. you know, [56:20] don't take it from Trump, don't take it [56:22] from Netanyahu. Um, if if it looked like [56:26] the regime was going to survive, the [56:27] Houthies would be put fire every day [56:30] because then they'd have to they'd have [56:31] to deal with the revolutionary gods if [56:33] they if they won. Um, nobody is, it [56:36] looks like nobody's going to expecting [56:38] to be getting checks or threats from the [56:40] revolutionary guard in the future. [56:43] >> There's your uh there's your Twitter [56:44] handle or ex handle over there. Uh, [56:46] Eugene Kurovich, Professor Eugene [56:48] Krovich, thank you so much for joining [56:49] us. [56:50] Um, and let's hope that we see a strong [56:53] Israel and really a region that [56:54] overcomes jealousy and overcomes those [56:57] feelings that you were talking about, [56:58] but instead hold hands holds hands [57:00] together to make the Abrahamic region [57:02] successful and prosperous uh with with [57:05] education, with welfare, with roads, [57:07] with tourism, with with with [57:09] business, with development, with [57:11] normalization that comes at a post jihad [57:14] uh a region that really has been [57:16] thirsting to to to modernize and and to [57:18] to stand together and to reap the [57:20] benefit of being such a historic and [57:22] beautiful region. Uh maybe the time of [57:24] of jihad is over uh and a new day is [57:27] coming with the help of God. [57:29] >> Thank you very much for being with us, [57:30] sir. [57:33] All right, folks. That was uh the [57:34] amazing professor Eugene Kerovich uh and [57:38] awesome to have him with us. And now we [57:41] ask uh Malaka Fleer to return back to [57:45] the stage. Malaka, thank you so much for [57:47] being with us. [57:48] Thanks, Isai. It was so great to hear [57:50] Professor Eugene Kurovich online uh with [57:54] you. You know, I bought this [59:48] domain years ago. Years ago, I was like, [59:51] what do I believe in? Buildis [59:52] Isisrael.com. I [59:54] >> Yeah. And you believe in connecting [59:55] people to projects which will help them [59:57] manifest their love for Israel and their [60:00] desire to be part of this big project [60:01] and help them to help people connect [60:04] with their dream projects. you know, [60:06] >> I didn't have to like go to one of those [60:09] um you know, when you have to pay a lot [60:10] of money for uh for them to to to give [60:14] you the website that you want, you know. [60:16] I didn't have to do that. I didn't pay [60:17] like a thousand. I paid because I got [60:19] this originally in the way back in the [60:22] way back like years ago, maybe I don't [60:23] know, five, six years ago. Uh thank you [60:25] very much, Corey Berg. [60:27] >> Wow. Thank you. [60:27] >> For your super blessings to you. We send [60:30] you blessings and shalom. [60:32] >> That's right. [60:32] >> Which means peace and wholeness. Thank [60:33] you very much. So buildisrael.com [60:36] I'm I'm so proud of this and and [60:38] buildisrael.com as we say in Hebrew [60:41] Kenho as its name is is what it is. [60:43] Okay. It is about building Israel. It's [60:46] about the narrative war. It's about it's [60:48] about Torah to the nations and it's [60:50] about building Jerusalem and building [60:52] Hebrron and building the hilltops and [60:54] building the farms and helping them with [60:56] tractors. We have a great movie coming [60:57] out with a synagogue that we're helping [60:59] build uh in Judea this week. So I'm so [61:02] proud of this website. It's not totally [61:04] done yet. Okay. And I'm very proud of [61:48] that and builds.com [61:52] and Whoa. Rich Debusk, one of my [61:55] brothers. [61:55] >> Oh, thank you so much. Goodness. [61:57] >> Thank you so much. We have my by the way [61:59] Maka yet another great guest after you. [62:01] Uh and this buildisrael.com oh uh oh my [62:06] my good friend uh all good. That's [62:08] right. Uh my good friend. [62:14] >> What are you doing? Looking through your [62:15] phone. [62:16] >> Yeah. One second. One second. Hold on. I [62:17] got [62:18] >> Well, I'll read it. It says, "Thank [62:19] you." [62:19] >> No. How do you pronounce How do you [62:21] pronounce her first name from Colorado? [62:23] >> Smi. [62:23] >> Simei. Simei. Of course. Okay. Smi. God [62:25] bless her. Like Samantha. Smi. [62:27] Smi is the lady. She is the lady. Thank [62:29] both of you. Thank both of you for all [62:31] you do. The lady in blue loves both and [62:34] was so blessed to meet. That's right, [62:35] Simmy. And we didn't get to see you [62:36] enough. You came to the land. And you [62:38] know, a lot of people like semi want to [62:39] come to the land right now. [62:41] >> We're a little locked out at the moment. [62:42] Yes, [62:43] >> you're locked out, baby. Simmyi is [62:45] locked out, but she wants to come back [62:46] and so many people do. [62:47] >> We hope that you'll be back soon. [62:49] >> Great name. Last name. All good. I You [62:51] know what I mean? It's like I want to be [62:52] called All Good. I want to be called [62:53] Yishi. All good. God is good. Ishi God [62:56] is good. That's what I want to do. [62:57] >> That's nice. [62:59] >> By the way, Mak, we got a few more [63:00] slogans that I believe in here. One of [63:02] them is liberation nation. That's what [63:04] we're doing right now. By the way, [63:06] speaking of Liberation Nation, check out [63:07] this video. [63:08] >> I'm not going to say that I am going to [63:10] support this video, but it shows you [63:13] >> what's happening right now in Iran. [63:15] There's a new game there called Durban [63:18] the Moolas. Check this out. Okay. [63:23] Heat [63:38] up here. [64:00] This video keeps going for another few [64:02] minutes. I'll play it. [64:03] >> Yeah. Okay, that's I think we got the [64:04] idea. Yeah, [64:05] >> we got [64:13] Okay. The bottom line is is there's the [64:15] durbanization. Now, in terms of like [64:18] religious respect, I'm not going to, you [64:20] know, I'm not going to back that. But [64:22] what does this mean? It means that [64:24] people are like your regime that you're [64:26] PROPPING UP AND KILLING OUR PEOPLE IN [64:28] THE STREETS, RIGHT? WHAT'S A [64:29] DETERMINIZATION? [64:30] >> I don't think it's the religiousness [64:32] that is the thing that people are trying [64:34] to show their defiance against, [64:36] >> right? I think it's the way that the [64:38] religion manifests itself in the society [64:41] in a controlling, violent, intimidating, [64:45] um, oppressive way. [64:46] >> That's murderous. [64:49] >> Murderous. [64:50] >> Awful murderous. [64:51] >> Right. And and like you said, Isa, I'm [64:53] generally not a fan of that kind of uh [64:56] behavior, even of religions that I uh [65:00] might have qualms with or people that I [65:02] that's not like my style, but but I do [65:05] understand I think where it's coming [65:07] from. [65:08] >> Definitely. Okay. Uh so there one way is [65:10] to detour. Okay. Here's another way. [65:14] Okay. Here's another way. Here's Israeli [65:17] jets flying to attack in Iran. [65:21] Okay, you could see them over the vast [65:23] deserts of Iraq and the the the [65:26] mountains of of Iran as well. Uh, and [65:28] there they are flying to detour [65:32] Iran in general. Okay. And here is a [65:34] video of is an Israeli F-35 downing uh [65:39] an Iranian jet. [65:56] Wow. [65:57] >> Okay. So, and this this this this jet [66:01] continued this Israeli jet continued [66:03] this operation. So, he's still he's [66:05] still this is what this one jet is still [66:07] doing out there. Okay. Boom. Blowing up. [66:10] Now, that that that missile silo that [66:12] you not the the the um missile truck [66:15] that you just saw [66:18] that was going to send missiles on on [66:20] our local Arab countries or on Israel. [66:23] And so he downed the jet and he [66:24] continues this this [66:26] >> I'm not sure I is that the video there [66:28] was a there was like a famous mission [66:30] just or not famous like a highly [66:32] celebrated mission just now in that um [66:35] it was the first time that an Israeli [66:38] that an F5 aircraft ah that was that was [66:41] it that was it that was that was the [66:43] downing [66:43] >> uh another jet in combat that was the [66:45] first time ever [66:46] >> right that was it you saw it mala here's [66:49] another video uh that gives us from Fox [66:52] oh thank you very so much for this big [66:53] beautiful donation. Uh, a gentile for a [66:56] Jew, a Christian's love for the [66:57] descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and [66:58] Jacob. Thank you so much. And there's [67:00] such a fight right now for the soul of [67:03] of pro-Israel Bible loving Gentiles. [67:06] There's a a battle for you right now. [67:08] There's a battle for your soul, Sams, [67:10] and and your donation today. I'm sending [67:12] you back blessings to be strong and for [67:14] your family to be strong and for your [67:15] friends and people of your community to [67:17] be strong and send that message. We love [67:19] Israel because we know that God is doing [67:22] it. We know that this is what God is [67:24] doing. We are Bible people. We know how [67:26] to read the Bible unlike Tucker. We know [67:28] the truth. Uh and we know what's really [67:31] happening right now. And we know that [67:32] Israel is succeeding because God is with [67:34] us, you know, and that's Mala, you know, [67:36] that's what I find also and I'd love [67:37] your comment on this as well. I find [67:40] that one of the things that we do here [67:41] in this channel [67:43] uh is that we talk See, Rachel says, [67:45] "Love you guys. The Bill comparison with [67:47] Tucker was amazing." I want to say that [67:49] one of the things that's hard for a lot [67:51] of great commentators to do is to bring [67:54] real politique, [67:56] the pluses and minuses of Israel and the [67:59] big picture of what God is doing, you [68:01] know, and Trump and Iran and Russia, [68:03] China, North Korea, Ukraine, you know, [68:06] the Houthies, the Gazins, the Turks, all [68:09] the all the business. And then to see [68:11] the game of God and to talk about the [68:14] game of God without embarrassment and [68:16] talk about the building of Israel is at [68:18] the end the great thing that's happening [68:20] here because really what's happening [68:21] here is the rebuilding of Jerusalem and [68:24] hopefully yes Tucker's right towards a [68:26] third temple. Yes, your comments. [68:31] Um I you know I agree with you Issha. [68:33] You know there is there's an interesting [68:35] trend that we're seeing in American news [68:37] which is like very openly um [68:42] uh making religion into teams. You have [68:47] you have Tucker and Candice um team [68:51] Catholicism and they want to define [68:53] Catholicism and they want to really [68:55] Christianity and they they want to say [68:57] what it is and what it isn't and that [68:59] you should listen to them and they they [69:01] twist it and so that you should [69:03] understand that that the the religion [69:05] they subscribe to is necessarily an [69:07] anti-Jewish religion and an anti-Israel [69:10] religion. Interestingly, a pro-Qatar [69:13] religion. um go explain that. But uh I [69:17] mean I can explain it. It just has [69:18] nothing to do with religion and a lot [69:20] more to do with money. But um you know [69:22] there is there is a trend today is in [69:25] which people are openly talking about [69:27] God and placing God into the picture of [69:30] the world which one cannot be upset [69:32] about. Uh I I'm not upset about even [69:34] though these people are really using God [69:36] against God. Um, they're they're trying [69:39] to use God to destroy God's uh true [69:43] will, his story that he wrote, his the [69:47] those that he loves, those that he [69:49] hates, and trying to twist the world [69:51] upside down um on its head so that there [69:53] is total confusion and a total [69:55] misunderstanding of God. Um, and they [69:57] are essentially trying to rope God into [69:59] their war. Um, that's bad. But the fact [70:03] that God is um uh bareric as they say [70:06] he's like on the uh he's uh how would [70:10] you say it like on the daily news [70:12] >> lips on the mind [70:13] >> right that people are are talking about [70:15] God that is a net positive um here on [70:19] this show we [70:23] are not ashamed to [70:26] say that we see God in what is happening [70:30] that we as Jewish people um have [70:32] dedicated our lives to trying to [70:33] understand what it is that God wants, [70:36] what he doesn't want, what he likes, [70:38] what he doesn't like. Uh we do it, our [70:41] parents did it, and on back through the [70:42] generations as far as they go. Um and um [70:47] this is the mission of the Jewish [70:48] people. This is what we've attempted to [70:50] do with our existence as a nation [70:52] throughout history. And um we continue [70:56] to do it today. There are people around [70:57] the world who recognize that. and there [71:00] are people around the world who don't. [71:02] Um, that's not new. But the fact that [71:05] it's become such a global discussion, a [71:08] a a international [71:11] daily discussion, who are these Jews? [71:13] Are they good? Are they bad? In in a way [71:15] that probably has never been done in the [71:17] history of the world, this this [71:19] discussion of of what is the place of [71:21] the Jewish people in the world and and [71:22] and their mission in the world. The this [71:25] is very big and this is very important. [71:28] Um, and I want to bless and congratulate [71:32] the people who are watching this show [71:34] who have come to who have come to [71:36] understand that the the will of God is [71:39] tied up with the Jewish people and that [71:41] they want to be connected to the will of [71:43] God. They want to do the will of God. Um [71:46] and and here on this show, you know, we [71:48] talk about um the news and we talk about [71:50] what's going on in real life and and we [71:53] talk as regular human beings, not just [71:55] as Jews, as as as humans on this planet. [71:58] Um and yet we can look you in the eye [72:00] and talk to you about the the king of [72:02] heaven and earth because he's just as [72:04] much a part of the news um as anything [72:07] else. [72:08] >> Let's watch Prime Minister Netanyahu [72:09] Mala as he's telling us that there's [72:12] still work to do. Let's check this out. [72:13] >> Okay. [72:18] I'm in the sixth day of Roaring Lion. [72:20] I'm at an air force base in the south of [72:23] Israel [72:26] with our amazing pilots [72:29] >> and also the the American pilots as well [72:31] and the ground forces that the support [72:34] crew [72:38] the the cooperation between US and [72:42] Israeli troops and especially your force [72:44] is historic. [72:55] We keep striking at the terrorist uh [72:59] government of Iran [73:03] and against terrorist entities in [73:05] Lebanon. [73:08] >> And the the successes are are many, but [73:10] the work is still ahead of us. There's [73:12] still a lot of work to do. [73:18] I I want to thank again my friend [73:20] President Trump for the cooperation [73:22] between us. [73:27] Together we shall continue and together [73:29] we shall achieve our goals [73:32] >> with the help of God. Oh my gosh. Think [73:34] he usually says only when things are [73:36] down. I guess I guess he's uh I guess [73:38] he's in a in a in a in a spiritual mood. [73:41] But he said with the help of God as [73:42] well. That's good. And here's some [73:43] footage of him. uh at the Air Force base [73:46] meeting with pilots. Pilots faces are [73:48] blurred out always here in Israel, [73:50] including American pilots as well. [73:54] Okay. He does seem in a gregarious mood [73:56] and he should be because the enemies of [73:58] Israel are being struck. Uh here he is [74:01] looking at the F-35. Uh and you know [74:04] what? I had Yor Meter on and he said [74:06] something so true. He's like, "Israel [74:08] has made the F-35 famous. We are the [74:10] ones that are like selling the F-35." [74:13] >> Interesting. [74:13] >> Yeah. If it if it wasn't if it wasn't [74:16] for the for for Israel actually [74:18] actualizing the F-35 and now shooting [74:20] down uh an an Iranian jet in a dog fight [74:24] that basically [74:25] >> this thing works. [74:26] >> Yeah, this thing works and we're the [74:28] ones that proved it and and it's been [74:30] certainly worth whatever investment the [74:32] US has put into Israel. Uh that uh that [74:35] is definitely worth it. Maka, you know, [74:37] I have an expert uh in in really Israeli [74:40] strategic fighting capability and the [74:43] US-Israel relationship right up next [74:45] after you, Yakov Katz, uh who's an [74:47] author of many books, uh and really an [74:49] expert globally about this. So, I want [74:51] to thank you very much, Ma, for being [74:52] with me. [74:53] >> Thank you so much. [74:54] >> Keep up the good work. [74:55] >> It's great to be It's great to be on a [74:57] show that can tell the world some good [74:59] news about the way that things are [75:00] going. Right. It's like it's a pleasure [75:03] even though war is very hard and it's [75:05] very costly in so many ways, [75:06] >> right? [75:07] >> Um this is something that really needed [75:09] to happen and it's nice to be able to [75:11] share that with the viewers. [75:13] >> And and when we say costly like these [75:15] six American soldiers who have fallen [75:17] and the two soldiers, Israeli soldiers [75:19] that fell today, that's the kind of [75:21] costly we used to call that cost heroes. [75:26] We used to be like, "Yes, those people [75:27] fought [75:28] >> in the defense of their country for [75:31] freedom and for liberty against tyranny [75:32] and hate, you know, the greatest [75:34] generation." Like, we used to be like, [75:36] "Those are heroes, [75:37] >> right? Let's they still are. Let's let's [75:40] keep saying it." [75:40] >> That's right. I'm saying like not to [75:42] just cry and be bemoaned that people [75:44] have fallen, but be like, right to honor [75:46] their sacrifice. That's right. [75:47] >> Right. That's exactly right. Maka Flea, [75:49] thank you so much for being with us. [75:52] >> All right, folks. We continue here at [75:54] Eshi TV uh and we are talking about the [75:57] ninth day of the war. And there's nobody [76:00] better to explain to us what's really [76:01] going on than Yakov Katz who is an [76:03] Israeli American author, journalist, [76:05] senior fellow at the Jewish people's [76:07] policy planning institute in Jerusalem. [76:10] uh he has served as editor-in chief of [76:12] the JP post, the Jerusalem Post and [76:14] worked for two years as policy adviser [76:17] uh to uh Napali Bennett who was the at [76:20] the time the minister of economy and [76:22] minister of diaspora affairs. Later he [76:23] was the prime minister as well. He's the [76:25] author of three books shadow strike is [76:27] inside Israel inside Israel's secret [76:29] mission to eliminate Syrian nuclear [76:32] power. I guess there's another chapter [76:34] to that now. weapon wizards, how Israel [76:36] became a high-tech military superpower [76:38] in Israel versus Iran, the shadow war. [76:42] Last time I interviewed him about Gaza, [76:44] I'm like I'm like, you um you have to [76:48] update your book about Gaza, which is [76:50] called While Israel Slept, and now I [76:52] guess he's going to have to update also [76:54] his book about uh Iran as well. Yakov [76:57] Katz, thanks so much for joining us [76:58] today. [77:01] >> I some reason I don't hear you. Um, [77:04] >> we hear you. [77:06] >> We hear you. Oh my gosh. [77:08] >> You can hear me? [77:09] >> Yes. Yes, we hear you. Okay. So, we're [77:11] gonna we're gonna call you on the phone [77:13] >> now. I hear you. I hear you now. You [77:15] >> hear me? Okay. [77:15] >> Okay. And you have the you have the [77:17] plane footage. All right. I just wanted [77:19] to give a second. [77:20] >> Thank you. Yo, thank you to our [77:21] producer. Yo, I appreciate that. Yakov [77:23] Cats, do you hear us well now? [77:24] >> Now I do. Good to be with you, [77:26] >> did you hear all my awesome introduction [77:27] to you? [77:28] >> I missed all that, but I'm sure it was [77:30] great. Don't worry about it. [77:30] >> It was It was really good. And and I [77:33] said what I said in my introduction to [77:35] you other than all the accolades and [77:36] what you've done. I also said that last [77:38] time I had you on the show. I said to [77:40] you now you have to update your book on [77:42] Gaza and October 7th and now now that [77:46] we're in Roaring Lion or Epic Fury or [77:48] Epic Fury Roaring Lion I think it's like [77:51] I think there was a there was a like a [77:52] like a like a karate movie like that [77:54] like you know Crouching Tiger Hidden [77:57] Dragon like Epic Epic Fury Roaring Lion. [78:00] Um, uh, you're going to have to update [78:02] your book on on Israel's shadow war with [78:05] Iran. Okay. You know what? The floor is [78:07] yours. Before I even ask you the [78:08] questions, give me a picture of what [78:09] we've been seeing here in the last nine [78:11] days. [78:12] >> Well, I mean, put put aside books for a [78:14] moment. I think we need a whole new book [78:16] written [78:17] >> about I I I've long believed and I [78:21] wonder what you think that that we need [78:24] a new addition to the Tanakh. Okay. How [78:28] who am I to to to to propose something [78:30] like that? But what the last two and a [78:32] half years for the Jewish people have [78:35] been so tumultuous, so challenging, so [78:39] so dangerous and existential. But look [78:42] at look at how we look at how we've [78:44] emerged. I mean, it's it's it's really [78:46] it's epic. It's biblical in proportion. [78:49] and and the stories of the courage and [78:51] the bravery and the sacrifice of Israeli [78:53] people and Americans and and and just [78:56] everything going on here. this creation [78:58] of this new military alliance, a whole [79:00] new level, something that had we had we [79:02] spoken a few weeks ago, I I I could not [79:04] have imagined that we would have this [79:06] joint merged operation in the way that [79:08] we're seeing playing out right now where [79:10] the Americans are refueling the Israelis [79:12] and backwards and flying together and [79:14] sharing intelligence, sitting in command [79:16] rooms and is this is Israel's first war [79:18] in English. They're talking in English [79:19] all day because they're sitting across [79:21] from Americans. They're looking over the [79:22] maps and and analyzing targets and [79:24] deciding you go there, I go there. [79:26] Israel, the the military has changed its [79:28] time, right? They they usually have a [79:30] their own clock system. They're going [79:32] according to Zulu time, which is the [79:34] NATO time, because they're working with [79:35] the Americans. I mean, this is [79:36] unbelievable. So, I'll tell you I'll [79:38] tell you a couple of things. I'm super [79:41] optimistic. I really am because I [79:44] believe that we are on track to a [79:47] dramatic change, not just in the region, [79:50] not just for Israel, not just for the [79:52] people of Iran, but for global security. [79:55] I think that what we're seeing play out, [79:57] if this keeps up and the and the [79:59] Americans keep at it and Donald Trump [80:01] keeps going, this this will be the [80:04] change that our kids who now don't [80:07] understand what they're watching will [80:08] one day look back and say, "Wow, we were [80:10] witnesses to to history being being [80:13] written." [80:15] >> Yeah. I mean, you're totally right. I [80:17] have young children and they are [80:20] definitely feeling that they're living [80:22] through something amazing. You know [80:24] though, Jews are sometimes um you know [80:28] less the ones that are less involved in [80:30] the news uh and the ones that like are [80:32] more cynical. I was in synagogue and I [80:34] was talking to a guy and I was saying [80:35] basically what you just said and he's [80:37] like yeah but there's still this and [80:39] there's this and these that he started [80:40] poking holes and and laying out all the [80:42] problems and I'm like I'm like we just [80:46] we just took out the leader of Iran, a [80:50] nation state. This guy has been plotting [80:52] to murder Israel for a long time. We [80:54] just took him out. Him and his 40 top [80:56] dudes in one shot. Like I agree with you [80:59] about the other problems, but like hold [81:00] on, take a stop and be like, you know, [81:02] and if you want to look at it [81:03] religiously, like thank God. And and if [81:05] you want to look at it religiously, you [81:06] could be like, wow, that was on Shabbad [81:07] Zakur. That's when we're supposed to [81:09] talk about the um the destruction of [81:11] Amalik. If you don't want to look at it [81:13] religiously, just look at it just in [81:14] your personal safety for you and your [81:17] children. You just averted a nuclear [81:19] Iran. you just averted a guy, you know, [81:22] who who terrorized us all the way in [81:23] Argentina in the Amy bombings and and [81:26] the Houthies. Like this guy just left [81:28] the world. We just took him out. You [81:29] know, we didn't leave him die. We didn't [81:31] let him die peacefully. We took him out. [81:33] Like, wow. Thi think for a moment. You [81:36] know, I I I saw this tweet that Kami [81:40] tweeted 3 days after October 7th in [81:42] 2023, which was October 10th. And he [81:45] tweeted, "Israel brought this upon [81:47] themselves. Israel will never stand up [81:49] again and we'll never be able to rise [81:51] up. That was pretty much the language of [81:52] his tweet. And you know what? [81:54] >> Wow. [81:54] >> Because he was such an evil guy, he [81:55] tweeted it even in Hebrew to make sure [81:57] that every Israeli would be able to read [82:00] it. This this is what he tweeted from [82:01] his official account [82:03] >> right [82:03] >> when he was killed two Saturdays ago. I [82:07] wonder if he thinks now that we were the [82:11] ones who would never rise up, that we [82:13] were the ones who brought this upon [82:14] ourselves, or was it he who brought it [82:17] upon himself when he unleashed his [82:20] proxies to attack us? Kamas on October [82:22] 7th, his Balan on October 10th, the [82:24] Houthis, and of course Iran itself. And [82:27] you look at the leadership in all of [82:30] these different places [82:33] dead, Yakya dead. Kami dead. The the [82:39] leaders of the Houthis dead, [82:42] right? We're still standing. We're still [82:45] here. We're strong. [82:48] And and they are collapsing around. Now, [82:50] does that mean we're in the safety zone [82:52] that we can sit back and and you know, [82:55] rest? No. We have major challenges, [82:58] major risks, and we will have to fight [83:01] for a long time ahead. But in the big [83:04] scheme of things, this is so far playing [83:08] out to be a huge dramatic change in the [83:11] region. And if all goes well and this [83:14] continues, a huge victory for Israel, [83:17] for the United States, and for the [83:18] Western world. [83:19] >> All right. Um, let's ask a few questions [83:22] now. Uh, first thing is this Netanyahu [83:25] is not the same Natao that we knew [83:26] previously. I I could tell you that in [83:29] the political circles that I was in, it [83:31] was kind of wellknown. Netanyahu is not [83:33] a warrior. He's not a fighter. He is a [83:36] great economy guy and he's and he's a [83:38] great politician and he knows how to put [83:40] powers against one another, but he's not [83:41] a great fighter. He's not a war maker. [83:43] That was the that was the lingo. I [83:45] remember sitting with with with Knesset [83:47] members and ministers where they would [83:48] say these kind of things. That's [83:50] obviously changed. So what happened? [83:52] This guy I mean at the same time and [83:54] just to further my question, he's been [83:56] talking about Iran for a long time. I'm [83:57] talking 25 years, [83:59] >> right? like this is his he's been [84:02] waiting for this moment [84:05] to [84:05] >> 100% and and and and I'll say even more [84:07] than that. Part of what led to the [84:09] failed policies that brought us October [84:13] 7th and the surprise kamas attack was [84:16] our hyperfocus with the big mega [84:19] strategic threats from Iran. And [84:21] therefore we we took our eye off the [84:23] ball and we're not focused on the closer [84:27] to Israel threats like kamas. That was [84:29] part of the puzzle here. The the [84:33] Netanyahu that we are seeing over the [84:36] last two years or so since October 7th [84:40] is a different Netanyahu. It's a [84:42] Netanyahu who has thrown out the policy [84:44] of containment that was his trademark. [84:48] the policy to kick the can down the [84:50] road. Do everything possible to avoid [84:52] war. [84:53] >> And if you have to do an operation, it's [84:55] standoff. It's electronic. It's covert. [84:59] It's never boots on the ground. It's [85:01] never going to be something that's in a [85:03] big way. Nathaniel has changed. And I [85:06] think it's a change which is a result of [85:08] an understanding that the previous [85:10] policies were wrong. and understanding [85:12] that you can't just rely on the military [85:14] and the intelligence establishment [85:16] because of their own mistakes and [85:18] failures and we saw those play out very [85:20] well unfortunately tragically and the [85:22] eve of October 7th but also I think that [85:25] he recognizes this moment in history and [85:28] this you have to give Netanyahu I have [85:30] lots of criticism of Netanyahu um I'm [85:33] not the biggest fan at all to say the [85:35] least but [85:35] >> right [85:37] >> this man is a leader of historic [85:39] proportion what he has done for the [85:41] state of Israel over the last two years [85:43] of this war is nothing less of [85:45] remarkable [85:47] >> and we will have to judge him for his [85:49] failures and for his successes that that [85:52] is how this works in in life in general [85:54] and that's fine and there's nuance and [85:56] complexity in that I get it he he's not [85:59] just perfect and he's not just a failure [86:01] he is a mix of them both but but but [86:04] this ability to bring Donald Trump into [86:07] this to have this merged you Yes, let's [86:11] just say it straight. We are today what [86:14] the United Kingdom was to the United [86:16] States in World War II. That's what we [86:18] >> just I just want you to know that that [86:20] the previous guest before MAC was Eugene [86:22] Kurovich and he said that word for word [86:25] exactly what you're saying now. Like we [86:26] have taken the place of what England [86:28] used to be. They're out of [86:29] >> and I mean and and and you know it's so [86:31] blatant because look at look at these I [86:33] hate this look at these losers in [86:35] England right now. I mean Kristar this [86:38] is leadership I do they not understand [86:42] and you know and sadly they don't we [86:44] know the answer they do not understand [86:46] the nature of of the Iranian threat I [86:48] mean it's is as if I I was speaking with [86:51] a with a with a senior [86:52] >> just just to remind you the UAE does not [86:56] send their young people to study in [86:59] England correct [87:00] >> lest they become too jihadi because [87:02] that's the education they're going to [87:03] get in England [87:05] >> you know I was Democrat. I was speaking [87:07] with a Democratic operative in the [87:08] United States, very close to the [87:10] Democratic party and it's just I said I [87:13] maybe I'm naive, right? But deep down [87:16] all these Democrats who are against the [87:18] war, it's because it's Trump, right? [87:20] It's not they they really in their [87:22] kishkas, they know that this is right. I [87:25] mean, you can't how do I how and and he [87:28] said, "I I hate to tell you, but there's [87:30] a small group that knows it's right and [87:32] they're just voting against it and [87:34] caught condemning it all day because [87:35] it's Trump, but the vast majority really [87:38] genuinely believes that this war is [87:41] wrong." And it's just it's a [87:43] misunderstanding [87:44] of basic history of what Iran has done [87:47] to America, of what Iran has done to the [87:50] world. You mentioned the AMIA attacks [87:52] and the attacks that have been in [87:53] Azerbaian and in Turkey and in India and [87:56] in Africa and all over the world and the [88:00] attacks that they carried out against [88:02] American soldiers and assassination [88:04] plots against the president of the [88:05] United States. Mike Pompeo still today [88:08] secretary of state walking around with [88:10] security guards because there's a death [88:12] uh notice that the fat a fatwa that was [88:15] put out. Other members of [88:16] administration, this is not an enemy of [88:19] America. [88:21] and and then the enemy of being [88:22] >> and then not to mention the killing of [88:24] their own people, [88:26] >> which which which by the way, [88:27] >> which you would think all liberals, pro [88:29] progressives would jump on [88:30] >> you would think. But you know what? [88:31] Tragically, that that that that goes out [88:34] the window when because when when not [88:38] only does sympathy go out the window, [88:39] you know, but but also the brain goes [88:41] out the window. Do you have thousands [88:43] and thousands of people who have been [88:45] killed? Whether it's 30,000, it's [88:46] 10,000, it's 7,000. Does it make a [88:49] difference? There are people who took to [88:50] the streets to fight for liberties that [88:52] you and I living in the state of Israel. [88:54] And of course, the people who live in [88:56] America and in Europe take for granted. [88:58] They don't have them. That alone should [89:01] be enough of a justification and a [89:03] reason for people to want to go out and [89:05] fight to free these people. Compound [89:07] that with the fact that this regime, you [89:09] know, I got this. This is another thing [89:11] that's coming to my mind as you're [89:13] speaking, you know, for years, Isai, and [89:16] and you have really been one of the [89:18] front frontline warriors against this [89:21] myth, right? But that we Israel is the [89:25] source of all instability. It's the the [89:27] so-called occupation. It's our presence [89:29] in the Middle East. We shouldn't be [89:31] here. We should go back to Poland, you [89:33] know. And you've been preaching for [89:34] years. Ever since I've known you, 20 [89:36] plus years, you've been preaching [89:39] legitimately about our our our right to [89:42] this land, our right to be here. But you [89:45] know, if anyone still had doubts, if [89:48] anyone still had doubts, and it's hard [89:49] to believe that they would, but let's [89:50] say some people still did after the last [89:53] nine days that Iran is firing [89:55] indiscriminately into the UAE, into [89:57] Saudi Arabia, into Oman, into Iraq, into [90:00] Jordan, into Kuwait, into Cyprus, into [90:03] Azerbaijan, into Turkey, of course, into [90:06] Israel. Do you really think that it's [90:08] still Israel that's causing the [90:09] instability in the Middle East? I mean,
