Transcript [00:00] Manni is a manifestation of God's [00:04] tremendous love for his children that [00:06] he's willing to take all these steps to [00:07] bring us home. And Ari and I have [00:09] sometimes a slight disagreement about [00:12] how to approach American Jews. Used to [00:14] be slight. Now it's more significant. I [00:17] used to wonder Jews of pre-Holoc [00:19] Germany. Did they not see the writing on [00:21] the wall? Why didn't they leave? And I [00:23] now have my answer. American Jews today. [00:26] And I know that that's something nobody [00:28] wants to hear and they're upset hearing [00:29] it and they get mad at me and but what [00:31] what else am I supposed to do? Shalom [00:33] everybody. Driving in Samaria with the [00:36] one and only Arya Brahmitt, co-founder [00:39] of the Land of Israel Network, [00:41] co-founder of the Arugote Farm, one of [00:44] the most beautiful places in all of [00:46] Judea. Ari, shalom. [00:48] >> Shalom. I'm going to look forward [00:50] because every time I see someone being [00:51] interviewed while they drive and they're [00:53] looking at the camera and looking at the [00:54] guy, I'm always thinking look at the [00:56] road every time. I can't focus because I [00:57] want the people to look at the road. So, [00:59] I don't want people to be distracted by [01:00] the fact that I'm looking at you because [01:02] we are driving in the uh probably a [01:05] relatively dangerous road in Samaria. [01:07] Not because of the Philistines, but [01:08] because of the insane traffic or driving [01:11] style in the Middle East. Wajisha, you [01:13] have been advocating civility and [01:15] manners on the roads. [01:17] >> Uh you're absolutely right. First thing, [01:19] we all want to thank you for driving [01:20] with your eyes on the road. Uh this is [01:22] not like a Tesla and not a Teslaike [01:24] situation. So, thank you very much for [01:26] taking care of that. And I have been [01:27] advocating a civility. Uh in general, by [01:30] the way, I just want you to know I've [01:31] been talking a lot about this. I get a [01:32] lot of push back from from my beloved [01:34] Israeli brothers and sisters. Uh I've [01:36] been talking that forget, forget unity, [01:40] let's get back to civility just a little [01:42] bit, [01:44] sweetness, kindness. Yesterday I was in [01:46] the Knesset and I was speaking to an [01:48] ultraorththodox guy. I said to him, you [01:50] know, this whole rift with the [01:51] ultraorththodox, do you know how we [01:53] could solve it right now? Here's the [01:54] decision to make. Just talk nice. Just [01:58] say, "We love the soldiers. We we pray [02:00] for you guys. You guys are so [02:02] important." Just don't beaughty with [02:04] people and you'll see how much you're [02:06] going to get done just with that. Just [02:08] to make a decision that you're going to [02:09] talk with Jews and treat them as they're [02:10] smart. Can I push back a little bit [02:13] because I don't disagree with you, but I [02:15] disagree with you a little bit. Go [02:16] ahead. I've always found a certain a [02:19] certain special element to the [02:22] incivility in Israel, the aggression on [02:25] the roads, the cutting in lines because [02:28] I see that when I'm in the West, there's [02:31] a lot of civility, but the minute things [02:33] would start pulling apart at the seams [02:35] and things start falling apart, they [02:37] would be ripping each other limb from [02:39] limb. Whereas in Israel, there's cutting [02:41] in line and there's rudeness. But where [02:45] is there more dysfunction than at a [02:47] family reunion? Especially when the [02:49] family has been apart for 2,000 years [02:51] and we're coming together, there's going [02:53] to be a lot of stuff to work out. So, [02:54] I've always celebrated to a certain [02:56] degree the dysfunction in Israel because [02:59] it's a sign to me that we're coming back [03:01] together. So, as long as the civility is [03:04] coming from a deeper place, that's a [03:07] good thing. Or maybe what you're saying [03:08] is let's start with the civility and [03:10] then it'll work its way down to a deeper [03:13] place right [03:17] is that what you're saying is [03:18] >> I think civility is good. I think [03:20] civility is just good. I think I think [03:22] you should treat you know the the person [03:24] who's trying to first thing you'll have [03:25] a lot less driving accidents and and our [03:27] culture for example in the Knesset it's [03:29] not always constructive. It's sometimes [03:31] like it's destructive. It's like it's [03:33] like we're fighting for one another. [03:34] Sometimes I'm in the council meetings [03:36] and I just say, "Why exactly are we [03:38] fighting? It's not clear to me because I [03:39] think we're not even saying something so [03:40] different. Can we just tone it down a [03:42] little bit?" And like [03:43] >> we're just used to a combative [03:45] adversarial posture. [03:46] >> Exactly. Exactly. Exactly it. And I just [03:48] think that that is not healthy and with [03:51] a lot of our sociological societal [03:54] issues a little bit of civility will go [03:57] a long way. Well, actually one more [03:59] thing. Just one more thing. Hakaratov, [04:01] >> right? Hakaratov I think is a very [04:03] important thing. I don't think um [04:05] recognizing goodness gratitude gratitude [04:09] I think that that would go far way. I [04:11] don't even think really the issue with [04:13] the karedi the ultraorththodox [04:15] enlistment conflict that is a deep and [04:19] uh rift within the country causing a lot [04:21] of resentment. It's not even that [04:23] they're not serving in the army. If they [04:25] didn't serve in the army but they were [04:26] saying our brothers that are serving [04:28] you're putting your lives on the line. [04:30] Thank you. we are so grateful to you for [04:32] that and we owe we feel like we owe you [04:34] and our learning we're doing it for you [04:36] that would do more healing just that [04:39] posture and that message from them as [04:41] opposed to we don't need you and you're [04:43] trying and that and the hate that's [04:44] where it's the real problem is it's [04:46] coming much more from the heart than [04:48] their actions do you agree with that [04:49] >> yeah that's that's what I'm saying just [04:51] a little bit of sweet words some [04:52] verbiage that makes you be like you know [04:54] I really respect you appreciate you know [04:56] just talking like that it's always like [04:58] smash no Torah is holding holding up the [05:01] land. No, defense is holding up the [05:02] land. It's like just just be like, [05:04] "Listen, I really appreciate you. I have [05:06] an issue that comes from this and this. [05:08] It's important to me." Just talk calmer [05:10] and you'll see a lot of things will [05:12] start to solve themselves. [05:13] >> When I speak to ultra [05:14] >> orthodox Jews, do not Jews listen, [05:17] right? When you're when you're when [05:18] you're at the doctors, they say to you, [05:20] "Do you have any allergies?" when [05:22] they're about to prescribe some medicine [05:23] to you, right? [05:25] Because if or or or a nice lady that's [05:27] hosting you for Shabbat be like, "Do you [05:28] have any food allergies or food issues?" [05:31] Okay, Jews have an allergy. They don't [05:35] like to be hottied to. They They are [05:38] allergic to hubris, to hottiness, to to [05:43] uh to to a posture that you're better [05:45] than them. Jews can't stand that. So, [05:48] why do that? Why not like be a little [05:50] bit like less into that mode and talk to [05:52] people as though they're they're good [05:54] and smart? Okay. And and and then you're [05:56] going to see a lot more success. [05:57] >> What what I do cuz I live on this farm [05:59] on the southeastern tip of settlement in [06:01] Judea. And what's interesting is that [06:03] the nearest settlement is called Malay [06:05] Amos, the heights of Amos, because [06:07] that's where Amos the Na'vi Amos the [06:08] prophet is Nva. But the Bialare Rebi, a [06:11] kidic sect of of Torah Judaism, Biala, [06:15] he told his to move there. So the whole [06:17] nearby settlement is one degree or [06:20] another ultraorththodox Jews and they [06:22] come to our farm a lot and they ask me [06:24] to speak to them to tell them the story [06:25] and one of the lines I always say which [06:27] is true from my heart. I say I one [06:30] there's nothing I love more. Yes, I love [06:32] Eros, but I love Jews. Every Jew. And I [06:35] love all of you. And I'm so grateful for [06:37] the learning that you're doing holding [06:39] us up spiritually. And I'm in the army, [06:41] right? And I would say this, well, I'm [06:42] in the army with my gun and I'm here. [06:44] And if I I would sacrifice my life for [06:47] any one of you and feel grateful for the [06:49] opportunity to do it. So great is my [06:51] love for you that I'm I would be happy [06:53] to do that. And I feel like when they [06:54] hear that, it creates a sense of it's [06:57] hard not to love someone that loves you. [06:59] >> That's right. [07:00] >> You know, so that's how I try to do the [07:02] rift. I try to constantly work on loving [07:05] my fellow Jew because we're not [07:07] co-religionists. [07:08] We're family. And when you're family, [07:11] there's no conditions on love. It's just [07:14] what is. So that's that's my my [07:17] approach. I try to just in my mind in my [07:19] heart authentically say I would die for [07:21] any Jew from the far left shalom to the [07:25] far right almost notoriarta [07:28] and uh and that's just how I how I [07:31] approach healing this rift in in my own [07:34] heart. Well, Arya Brahmutz is anything [07:37] if not authentic. Uh and so when you [07:40] said you're authentically loving every [07:41] Jew, I I totally believe you and it's [07:43] not easy. I think it's actually a very [07:45] big mitzvah. Speaking of loving, behind [07:47] us we got our two uh beloved friends [07:52] and Greg [07:53] >> Greg Uppam. [07:54] >> Greg Upam, big uh big part of the Land [07:57] of Israel network and Elsar Man, big [07:59] part of the Fleer Network. Keep up the [08:01] good work back there. [08:02] >> One of my rebies. [08:03] >> That's right. One of my rebies. Uh okay. [08:08] We talked uh about the loving every Jew [08:10] and I wanted to open up a topic uh which [08:13] uh which you and I discuss a lot behind [08:16] camera but not on camera. Uh and that is [08:20] the topic of American Jews and aliyah. [08:23] And just to kind of open up the the the [08:24] the topic because uh we're constantly [08:28] being sent signals that America is uh is [08:31] changing and that uh it's just not the [08:36] friendly country that it was. Every time [08:38] that I tell Arya Brahmittz that I'm [08:40] going on a trip, he like size and and [08:43] his uh some kind of PTSD OCD thing pops [08:46] up. Uh, and uh, it's hard for for for [08:49] him to to stand the fact that I that I'm [08:52] out there traveling uh, really because [08:54] of I think because of a kind of fear, a [08:56] visceral fear of of what's going on over [08:58] there. And Ari and I have some sometimes [09:02] uh, a uh, a slight disagreement about [09:04] how to approach American Jews. Uh, [09:07] >> I think it's more than slight at this [09:09] point. [09:09] >> You think it's more than slight at this [09:11] point in history. It used to be slight. [09:13] Now it's more significant because number [09:16] one, the reason I'm afraid of you going [09:18] is because I'm I hold no secret about [09:19] it. Out of all the people I know, I'm [09:21] just speaking the truth. You are the [09:23] singular greatest spokesman for the [09:26] Jewish people alive today. That's really [09:28] what I believe and all of my friends are [09:29] watching this who all are in this and I [09:31] just saw the truth. And so the thought [09:33] of you going over there cuz something [09:35] will happen and the skies are going to [09:37] shut. The gates are going to We've seen [09:38] it again and again and again. We saw [09:40] with Corona. So, I'm just afraid that [09:41] you're going to be stuck over there. [09:43] >> Wait, wait, wait. Now, now just just to [09:45] just to tell the truth, uh there was a [09:48] time during the 12-day war, the day [09:51] before, you called me and you said, Isa, [09:54] and we were both in America. I was in [09:55] Brooklyn. Where were you? You were from [09:57] Texas. And you're like, "Do you think we [09:58] could get stuck out here?" And I WAS [10:00] JUST LIKE, "NO, ARI, you're [10:03] exaggerating." And the next day, boom, [10:05] the gate closed. And you and I were both [10:08] stuck in America. You ended up taking a [10:10] boat from Cyprus uh and surrounded by [10:12] sharks and and who knows what. And I [10:15] ended up flying through Aman, Jordan. I [10:17] went through two Arab capitals in order [10:19] to get home. Okay. Uh uh it was Detroit, [10:22] Michigan and uh and Aman. I had to fly [10:25] to Detroit in order to fly to Aman. Uh [10:27] and that was quite quite a herring [10:29] story. So, so I you know when you say [10:30] the gates close I would have loved to be [10:32] like Ari is just exaggerating as usual [10:35] but uh it happened that you were stuck [10:38] and and you were right about that. [10:40] >> So I want to say why I think the rift [10:42] between us is now larger than ever [10:44] because you go to America and you [10:46] inspire people proactively about Israel. [10:48] you used to, I think, be more [10:50] aggressively about aliyah, but you [10:51] realize that it's not as effective or in [10:53] your experience, it hasn't been as as [10:55] effective and it's a more positive. And [10:57] so, I I heard that argument for a long [10:59] time, even though I didn't personally [11:00] ascribe to it, I heard it. But now that [11:02] I see the radical shifting of the winds [11:06] of history, the way Hashem is actually [11:08] going and changing the hearts and the [11:10] minds of Americans from the right and [11:13] the left, the hatred is converging. I [11:15] used to now it's not like I want people [11:18] to come back because I'm excited about [11:20] the in gathering of the exiles. Now it's [11:21] an issue of actual Pikuak nephesh. I [11:24] used to wonder Jews of of preholocaust [11:27] Germany, did they not see the writing on [11:29] the wall? Why didn't they leave? And I [11:31] now have my answer. American Jews today. [11:34] And I know that that's something nobody [11:35] wants to hear and they're upset hearing [11:37] it and they get mad at me and but what [11:38] what else am I supposed to do when you [11:40] see how pressing this is, how imminent [11:43] it is? So now I feel like we we must um [11:47] be more vocal in whatever way you do it. [11:49] But it's not like things have always [11:51] been when you see the far right [11:53] converging with the far left and having [11:55] Tucker Carlson is interviewing St. [11:57] Jugger and Megan Kelly's with [11:59] Anakasparian and they're loving each [12:01] other over one thing. Israel. Israel. [12:05] And you could argue by the way that [12:06] we're supposed to be bringing the world [12:08] together. Well, we're doing it. We're [12:10] bringing the world together in in some [12:11] way. But anyways, this is what my [12:13] argument to you is that we should at [12:15] least at the very least be advocating [12:18] right now. And that is that okay, maybe [12:21] aliyah pitching aliyah is too big a [12:23] commitment for people to wrap their [12:25] minds around and it's too scary and they [12:27] have all of their money and their life [12:29] and their family wrapped up in America. [12:31] But tell me what you think about this is [12:34] people could theoretically if you own a [12:36] house in America, sell it now. It's [12:38] never going to be worth more than it is [12:40] right now. It will not sell it now. Buy [12:43] a house in Israel and then rent in [12:45] America. Why? Because real estate in [12:47] Israel is going to continue going up. [12:49] There's no question about it. And then [12:51] when you see things get so bad that [12:53] there's no denying it, you'll be able to [12:55] be soberly dispassionate about seeing [12:58] the reality and you can leave rather [13:00] than be so wrapped up that you stick [13:02] your head in the sand and not look at [13:03] it. So for me where it was beneath the [13:06] dignity of Israel to be telling people [13:09] run away from America, come back to [13:10] Israel. Whereas life here is so filled [13:12] with with sim and mission and passion [13:15] and purpose. Now it's an issue of [13:17] actually saving lives and we need to to [13:20] blow the chauffear and sound the alarm [13:23] and say at least keep your eyes open. [13:26] Maybe I'm wrong. What do I know? I've [13:28] been wrong before. Maybe I'm wrong. But [13:29] you keep your own eyes open. And when [13:31] you see it happening, when you see Lavan [13:33] turning against Yakov and saying, "All [13:35] your money is from me." Or a new Pharaoh [13:37] is rising and saying, "Do a loyalty." [13:39] You start hearing dual loyalty. You've [13:40] taken all your all of our money and this [13:42] again and again and again from [13:43] everywhere. There's a good chance that [13:45] it's it's time to come home. [13:48] >> Okay. So, a few comments on that. Number [13:50] one is that um the idea that you that [13:55] you espoused about [13:58] um selling your house, renting it, [14:01] buying here in the meantime, I think [14:03] that's a fantastic idea and I I wouldn't [14:05] have any problem saying that to people. [14:06] I'm always telling people uh uh take [14:09] economic steps to ensure that your [14:11] wealth isn't lost and that you are [14:14] investing in Israel and are part of it. [14:16] So I I like that's that's a perfectly [14:19] reasonable step to to suggest to people [14:22] and I want to tell you that uh I also [14:24] have uh changed my tune and and I [14:29] remember that I've always said that when [14:31] anti-semitism comes I'll say okay here's [14:34] anti-semitism and and I'll give you just [14:36] uh one example of that recently a kind [14:39] of famous Torononian Larry Zeman [14:43] um I he wrote a a Facebook post saying [14:46] Canada isn't safe anymore. Toronto isn't [14:48] safe anymore. We got to get out of here. [14:50] And I was like, whoa. I called him. I'm [14:52] like, are you willing to come on the [14:53] show? And he's like, came on the show. [14:54] And immediately we discussed that [14:56] because if Larry Zeman is saying that [14:58] Canada is not safe, then then then it [15:01] really means something. And by the way, [15:02] you know when you're not safe? When the [15:05] uh sovereign is no longer defending the [15:07] Jews. And that's what's happening in [15:09] Canada. That's what's happening [15:11] >> in England and in and in France and [15:13] maybe in Australia to some extent uh and [15:16] in the United States is still not there [15:18] but it's going to start edging away from [15:21] Jewish safety because uh what's right [15:24] now on the social media is entering [15:26] slowly into the hearts uh of people and [15:28] there's going to start to believe in [15:30] this stuff. they're going to start to [15:31] believe that uh that Jews are bad and [15:34] Jews are at fault for this and that and [15:36] Jews are genociders and really all it is [15:39] is the excellent blood liels of the past [15:42] now being tweaked and made even stronger [15:44] today. That's that's for sure true. [15:46] Moreover, [15:48] I think that when a jihadist mayor takes [15:50] over New York City, there's no greater [15:53] just like there's no greater sign that [15:55] we're in a time of redemption when we [15:57] see the land of Israel flourishing. [15:59] There's no greater sign that your the [16:01] great city of of Babylon that we built [16:04] uh helped build in in New York City. [16:07] There's no greater sign that that's over [16:08] than when a jihadist mayor is I mean in [16:12] a fullblown full throttled no holds [16:16] barred jihadist mayor is is is at the [16:19] head of of New York City. You know [16:21] that's that's going to say a lot. And [16:22] and it also says something that a [16:25] majority of Jews in New York still [16:28] support him. Now, why would they do [16:30] that? [16:31] >> Well, that's what happens when Jews when [16:32] they when they split off uh from God and [16:35] then uh in this case al also from from [16:37] Israel. No, but there's also thousands [16:39] of years of uh trauma that is built into [16:43] the consciousness that they somehow [16:44] still delusionally believe that if they [16:47] spearhead this liberalism then they will [16:50] be the beneficiaries of the same [16:52] liberalism in return that and so they [16:55] think that this little bleep in history [16:58] they're so associated and identified [17:00] with being a card carrying liberal [17:03] leftist Democrat that that's actually [17:05] become on some level their religion. [17:08] and they believe that they're really [17:09] that. But it's not just them. I speak to [17:12] a lot of MAGAR Republican Jews in [17:14] America and they just as much identify [17:16] as a right-wing conservative Republican [17:18] as on the left leftwing liberal [17:20] Democrats. And right now those idols, [17:23] those illusions are being shattered. [17:24] We're not right-wing Republican uh [17:27] conservatives. We're not leftwing [17:28] liberal Democrat. We're Jews. We're Jews [17:31] and that's it. And that's what it's [17:32] always been and that's what it will [17:34] always be. And until we if we keep [17:36] fighting against that, we're going to [17:38] have those illusions shattered again and [17:39] again and again more painfully. Which is [17:41] why one of the things that I try to do [17:44] is to deconstruct fears, address [17:47] contentions because there are legitimate [17:49] contentions against moving to Israel. [17:51] There are we have to be honest about it [17:53] economically. It's a very challenging [17:54] thing. You, by the way, you have done a [17:57] tremendous amount in actually not only [17:59] addressing and vocalizing the the [18:01] contentions, but dealing with them and [18:03] solving them to lay the groundwork for [18:06] an in gathering, which is one of the [18:07] things you've always done and I I credit [18:10] largely probably more than anyone else I [18:12] know you into my whole journey and where [18:13] I've done and everything that I've done [18:15] because you helped me understand it was [18:17] possible that it was a possible thing. [18:19] And so, one of the things I I used to [18:21] say is make aliyah. Okay, maybe not. [18:24] come for a sbatical, come for one year, [18:27] and at the end of that year, just say to [18:29] yourself, I'm going to come for one [18:30] year, and at the end of that year, if I [18:31] want to go back, I'll go back, but [18:33] you're not going to be able to because [18:34] when you taste the beauty and the [18:37] mission and the purpose, that's one [18:38] thing. The second thing is, what about [18:40] finances? How am I going to do it? Just [18:42] understand and I would en encourage you [18:44] to come out to my the settlement that's [18:47] right next to my farm and these families [18:50] have been living for 10 12 14 years in [18:53] beat up leaky caravans on a mountaintop [18:56] in Judea. And you're like, "Well, I'm [18:58] not going to do that. I've been to [18:59] Kentucky. I see trailer parks." No, no, [19:02] no, no. Only recently have they gotten [19:04] the Isim to build homes. And now there [19:07] are beautiful mansions. Like, have you [19:10] seen any [19:12] >> one of the I've never seen homes so [19:14] beautiful. And it's the same families. [19:16] >> The same families that were living in [19:18] caravans for 10 years and you could say [19:19] how how did they do that? And the answer [19:21] is they weren't living in caravans [19:23] because they didn't have money for a [19:24] house. They believed in it. They wanted [19:26] it. And when you see the children they [19:28] raise and you walk into their house and [19:30] you see the simka, the joy in their at [19:33] their Shabbat table. I I say that with [19:35] my wife all the time when we're worried [19:37] about money and finances, which happens [19:39] to us regularly. [19:41] We say worst comes to worst. We move to [19:43] a caravan and we're just as happy there. [19:46] It's not a worst comes to worst. You [19:48] have to understand that it's not things [19:50] are different here in Erit Israel and [19:52] you don't need the money that you need [19:54] in America. It's not about keeping up [19:57] with the Joneses. Thank you, Greg. It's [19:58] not that doesn't really It's not a thing [20:00] here. So, just come to the land for one [20:04] year. Come scout it out. See the beauty [20:07] of it. Go to home communities where [20:11] people living in caravans be like, "This [20:13] caravan is a beautiful thing for for [20:15] what? For a thousand shekels, I can a [20:17] month 12,000 shekels a year. I can live [20:20] in this beautiful caravan in the hills [20:21] of Judea, accomplish the and have [20:23] greater sim. Anyways, I'm going to stop. [20:24] I I talk too much. [20:26] >> The the new caravans in Ephrat are about [20:28] 4,000 shekels a month, which is closer [20:31] to like $1,300 a month. But okay, [20:34] >> but no, but that's I I want to correct [20:36] that because that's an outlier. It's an [20:37] outlier because of where those caravans [20:39] are located. Imagine in Beverly Hills in [20:42] the middle of Beverly Hills, they're [20:43] like, "Oh, we're going to put a few [20:44] caravans here." Those are going to be [20:46] higher rent. [20:47] >> Yeah. [20:47] >> It's like by the deco and whatever. It's [20:49] I'm I'm just letting you know in all the [20:51] caravans I think are 1,200 checkles, [20:53] 1,600 check, something like that. [20:55] >> Okay. There's one more thing that uh you [20:57] said before that I want to uh pick a [20:59] little bit at which is that I just let [21:02] me a chance to to to finish this off, [21:04] which is that you said that the land of [21:06] Israel should be approached as a thing [21:09] that we love, that we're excited, that [21:11] we're passionate about, that that [21:12] there's a burning desire for us and we [21:14] should be running to it and not running [21:16] away from anti-semitism. And of course [21:18] that's an ideal and that's beautiful. [21:21] But the history of the land of Israel is [21:23] such that anti-semitism is a big part of [21:26] why people got here. But I have a [21:29] different read on it. I have a different [21:30] read on it that my read is is that God [21:33] loves us so much [21:36] that he's willing to send these things [21:38] to push us out of our comfort zones of [21:40] the place that we've set up. And it's a [21:42] love meaning to say, I see today [21:45] American anti-semitism as this [21:47] incredible love because God could have [21:49] just uh sent the kind of anti-semites [21:51] that just kill you, or he could have [21:53] sent uh uh assimilation, which is [21:55] another way of of getting rid of you. [21:57] Instead, God is like he's he's waking us [21:59] up. He's pushing us out. And there's [22:02] something like I I see it and I'm just [22:04] like Mam Dani is a uh uh um [22:07] manifestation of God's tremendous love [22:10] for his children that he's willing to [22:12] take all these steps to bring us home. [22:14] So, so like when you see Manny, I see [22:16] his face and I see this like evil vazier [22:19] Hmon type character. I'm like, "Wow, [22:22] wow, there's a love." And let's not [22:23] forget that Hmon is at the end the [22:26] vehicle for the most incredible love for [22:28] the return of the Jewish people to [22:29] Torah, to the land. And as the sages say [22:32] that the giving of the power over to [22:34] Hmon by giving him the ring uh was more [22:37] had more effective power than than 48 [22:40] prophets, Jewish prophets, you know, [22:43] smashing your head and telling you uh uh [22:45] uh to to wake up when God gave the ring [22:48] when the seal of Hmon, [22:50] >> right? That's right. Okay. Well, I just [22:52] want to say one thing about that. Just [22:54] let me address that one point. um you [22:56] can either take Ishi's word for this on [22:59] a conceptual level but also to [23:01] understand that the Naveim exactly [23:03] addressed this so there's no more [23:05] confusion about it. Now, what the [23:07] prophets have said that and I understand [23:08] that there's a one of the worst things [23:10] that's happened throughout the exile is [23:12] the hijacking of the prophets of Israel [23:15] where even me I remember growing up [23:17] someone said Isaiah 15. And I'm like, [23:19] "Oh, Ned Flanders. You remember Ned [23:21] Flanders?" Like, "Hey, howdy, Homer. [23:23] Isaiah, Ezekiel, Jeremiah the prophet." [23:25] It's like hokey and silly. And so [23:27] sometimes I'm talking to American dream. [23:29] I'm like, "Isaiah said and like, oh, [23:30] Isaiah, those Christians are really [23:32] getting to you. The Christians are h how [23:35] did that happen? You got to let that go [23:37] and understand that the prophets of [23:39] Israel have taught the entire world [23:41] light from darkness." But that's not the [23:43] point. The point I'm saying is the Yera [23:45] Hanavi Jeremiah the prophet in chapter [23:48] 16:16 [23:50] he speaks exactly about our times and he [23:52] said first I'm going to send Hashem says [23:55] I'm going to send the fishers. What are [23:57] fishers? Yeser was a fisher. He's [23:59] throwing it in there and saying aliyah [24:01] revolution life is beautiful. Come to [24:03] Israel giving us the the true bait to [24:05] bring us home. And for those that don't [24:07] listen to the fishes then I will bring [24:09] the hunters and they will hunt you down [24:12] from behind the rocks. right? That and [24:14] you look at what's happening now and the [24:16] hunters are out and so it this is the [24:19] time to understand that it's this is a a [24:22] gift for us to bring us back to the land [24:25] and just we're right now driving by [24:27] Sheilo where Kana [24:31] prayed for a son and got Samuel the [24:33] prophets who told Saul it just it brings [24:36] it's but it's not only about the past [24:38] and about the prophets just like Isa [24:40] said it's about the future. You feel the [24:43] future being born here and you see [24:45] America and it's like on a rapid decline [24:49] and that's why it's just out of a place [24:51] of love for every Jew. I love every Jew. [24:54] My diaspora, nothing keeps me up more at [24:56] night than the what I feel like is a [25:00] certain blindness of my diaspora Jewish [25:02] brethren. And as someone that has my own [25:04] blindness, too. I have blindness. I have [25:07] things that confuse me that I don't see. [25:09] I'm not standing here and saying I am [25:11] the man of truth. Believe me, I have my [25:13] things that I'm dealing with. I'm just [25:15] saying that keep your eyes open. That's [25:17] all I'm saying. Just keep your eyes open [25:19] and come back home. Okay. Uh and um I [25:23] I've recently uh come up with a new [25:25] metaphor and that metaphor I think is uh [25:29] maybe maybe a metaphor like the metaphor [25:31] of the fishers and the hunters is is [25:32] very intense. Uh, and I don't know if [25:36] America is going to become this like [25:37] intense uh, you know, place of um, of of [25:41] a holocaust. I'm not sure about that. [25:43] But definitely there is not the same [25:46] love. That's for sure. And as you [25:49] mentioned to me and as I found [25:51] subsequently is really sourced by the [25:54] uh, the said and you you mentioned it [25:56] that Jacob realizes it's time to go. [25:59] When Laban's face, Lavan's face changes. [26:02] uh so too uh when when America when [26:05] America's face changes towards the Jews [26:07] which it's changing uh so you know you [26:10] you recognize that it's the time to go [26:12] but my personal metaphor is different [26:14] it's it's a new metaphor I came up with [26:16] recently which is your child in this [26:19] metaphor your child goes to somebody's [26:21] house and you want him to come back home [26:23] so you say mishi you got to come home [26:25] today at 6:00 p.m. and and he goes, [26:28] "Sure, mom. No problem." But he goes, [26:30] "You know what? Let me put this watch on [26:31] you and set the alarm." The alarm is set [26:33] for 5:50. Remember, when the alarm goes [26:36] off, you go home. And uh and the alarm [26:38] goes off, but Moshi's playing the [26:40] Nintendo. And he presses a button, he [26:42] lets it uh lets it be forgotten. [26:45] And then uh you also took care to give [26:48] him a phone, like some simple, you know, [26:50] not smartphone cuz he's a kid. You give [26:53] him a a Nokia phone uh and you call him [26:57] at at 5 to 6. You say, "Mushy, it's time [26:59] for you to come home." And he says, [27:00] "Sure, mom." And he puts the phone down, [27:02] but he's in the middle of a game, Super [27:04] Mario on Nintendo. And he forgets again. [27:08] And finally, you're frustrated. He's not [27:09] coming home. And what you do is you call [27:12] the parents. Uh you call the parents of [27:14] uh of Moshi, and you say to to the [27:17] parents, "I want you to kick my son out [27:19] because it's time for him to come home." [27:20] And the father of the house says, [27:22] "Moshei, it's time for you to go." And [27:24] the minute the father says that, then [27:26] you know, Moshi puts down the controller [27:28] and and he's and he's heading out the [27:30] door. Uh and so too, uh God has made [27:34] amazing miracles that call people back [27:36] home to the homeland. Uh and when we [27:40] don't heat that, well, suddenly he calls [27:43] the parents of the other place, i.e. the [27:45] nations where we're staying and and they [27:48] now are going to push us out of the [27:50] house effectively and that's what's [27:52] happening. Uh but one thing that I think [27:54] you and I agree on uh Ari is that you [27:56] got to take also practical steps. You [27:59] talked before about the you know renting [28:02] selling your house and and and and [28:04] buying in the land of Israel [28:05] >> and then renting there staying there [28:07] >> even even staying there but renting but [28:09] at least being more more more fluid [28:13] >> financially. [28:15] uh setting up that bank account in [28:17] Israel, sending your kids here earlier. [28:19] One of the big changes that I've said [28:21] I've I I I I've said that the difference [28:23] between the United States and let's say [28:25] South Africa is when a kid a South [28:27] African Jewish kid comes to his parents [28:29] in South Africa and he says listen I [28:32] want to go to Israel for the year. I [28:34] want to go to Israel for college. I want [28:35] to go to Israel for the army. The [28:36] parents in South Africa say please go [28:40] ahead. Yes, we're behind you. We're with [28:42] you. There's no future here in South [28:44] Africa. Okay, maybe it's hard for us to [28:48] leave, but you go and we're right behind [28:50] you. Good. Make your life. If anybody [28:53] remembers the end of the movie uh Woman [28:56] in Gold, where uh the Austrian parents [28:59] say to her, "Just remember us, but go [29:01] make a life for yourself." I I I tear up [29:03] at that uh at that part of the movie. [29:06] But uh but now oh but when you when a [29:09] kid in America said 20 years ago said to [29:12] his parents, "I want to go to the [29:13] Israeli army. I want to go to yeshiva in [29:14] Israel." Whatever. They said, "What are [29:16] you crazy? You got you you got a family [29:19] here. You got a our business is here. [29:21] You can go to Colombia. You could go to [29:23] uh Cornell and we got that whole thing [29:25] set up for you and we even dedicated a [29:27] room in Cornell and we have a thing and [29:29] and we're we're totally part of this [29:31] thing and we have the apartment on Fifth [29:32] Avenue, whatever it is." Okay. Now when [29:36] a young person comes to their parents [29:37] and she says you know I want to go to [29:39] college in Tel Aviv then parents today [29:42] are much more likely American parents [29:44] are likely to say please my my beloved [29:48] daughter go ahead start your life go [29:50] ahead there is a future in Israel and [29:52] that's a big that's a big difference and [29:54] that's what I call shilen when the when [29:56] you send away the parents the previous [29:58] generation's way of thinking and you [30:00] bring into the land of Israel uh the [30:02] chicks and the eggs the next generation [30:04] is coming here. Uh I was just speaking [30:06] to an important donor guy and he said to [30:08] me, "We got to talk about aliyah in [30:10] America." I said to him, "If you want to [30:12] talk aliyah, the way to do it is on [30:15] campus." [30:16] Campus. It's with the young people. Get [30:19] the young people. [30:20] >> They're at the fork in the road right [30:21] there. [30:21] >> At at the fork in the road or the people [30:23] that are willing to now diversify their [30:26] wealth and and move it to Israel and and [30:28] protect themselves. I know a lot of [30:30] people that have actually done that [30:31] thing and and bought a place in Israel [30:33] and not one of them has any shred of [30:36] regret because it's not just [30:38] ideologically and spiritually wise. It's [30:40] financially wise. But I just want to [30:42] make one last point D cuz I left my my [30:45] whole idea and saying keep your eyes [30:47] open. Don't trust me. I'm a chicken [30:49] farmer in Judeian. I'm not even good at [30:50] that. What do I know? Just keep your [30:52] eyes open. But then you said like a [30:54] holocaust in America. I want to make it [30:55] clear. I do not think a holocaust is [30:57] going to happen in America. I do not. [30:59] America is a different country than [31:00] pre-Holocaust Germany. It's totally [31:02] different. I don't think that history [31:04] repeats itself, but it rhymes. Okay? [31:08] Things are going to get bad and worse [31:10] and worse and worse and it's going to [31:11] look very very different and it's maybe [31:14] on a different scale, but that doesn't [31:15] change the fact that so don't try to [31:18] when I say keep your eyes open, don't [31:19] try to look for a replica of the past [31:21] and say, "Well, that's not happening." [31:23] It's not about that. It's not about [31:24] whether a holocaust is going to happen. [31:26] It's when you see things getting so [31:28] unbelievably irrationally [31:30] crazy against Jews from all sides and it [31:34] gets so much that all of a sudden you [31:35] can't have a muza up you don't feel [31:37] comfortable with a keepa it's time to [31:39] say okay the winds of history are [31:40] shifting yet again and maybe instead of [31:44] thinking uh where am I going to go where [31:46] am I going to hide will he hide me in [31:47] his home you don't need to think he's [31:49] going to hide me in his home come to my [31:51] home come to Israel come to the hills of [31:53] Judea and we'll be the best thing you [31:55] ever did in your children and [31:56] grandchildren, great-grandchildren and [31:58] great great grandchildren will look at [32:00] their family tree and say that's where [32:03] we went from 2,000 years of the exile to [32:05] the land of Israel. That is a legacy [32:07] that will last forever. You know, Greg [32:10] here in the back, his daughter and her [32:12] his his son-in-law, he had a job in [32:15] America. He was doing super well and [32:17] they picked up and they left. And it [32:19] hasn't been easy, but I think it's been [32:21] very rewarding. and their great great [32:23] grandchildren will say that exactly [32:25] about them. So that's my message. [32:29] >> Uh it's a great message and and I guess [32:30] I would add only to that one more [32:32] message which is that a Jew knows how to [32:36] stay fluid [32:39] and we I I had a a big guy tell me one [32:42] time he's like if America goes down, [32:44] Israel goes down. So I said to him, Bob, [32:47] listen to me. [32:49] The Jewish people transitioned from the [32:52] Persian Empire to the Greek Empire, [32:55] excuse me, from the from the Babylonian [32:57] Empire to the Persian Empire to the [32:58] Greek Empire to the Roman Empire in a [33:00] span of a few hundred years. And then we [33:03] even transitioned into exile [33:06] and we were able to deal with it. And [33:07] here in Israel, by the way, we have [33:08] transitioned. This modern state of [33:10] Israel has basically transitioned from [33:13] Turkish [33:15] to British [33:17] to partial Arab controlled Jordanian [33:20] to Israeli but under uh Soviet uh uh in [33:25] sphere of influence to a French sphere [33:27] of influence to an American sphere of [33:29] influence. We've transitioned through [33:31] all of those times and we're still here, [33:33] baby. And so a Jewish person's got to be [33:36] fluid. When you sense the fluidity [33:38] underneath your your your legs, when you [33:40] say when you sense that the continent is [33:42] no longer uh safe for you. Okay. And [33:45] feel that as a love. That's that's my [33:47] what myish for today. My innovation is [33:49] feel the love of Tucker Carlson. Feel [33:53] the love of Candace Owens. It means that [33:56] God loves us so much that he's willing [34:00] to send this nutty Candace Owens to [34:03] muddy the minds and and the water of of [34:05] the United States all in order to bring [34:08] the Jewish people back home. How much [34:11] ahava how much love is there uh that God [34:13] has in in his heart for his dream, for [34:17] his Abraham uh for his covenant uh to [34:21] come true. And that's the time that [34:22] we're living in. All right, folks. I [34:24] want to thank Ari Brahwoods for driving [34:25] and talking with me today. You can see [34:28] so much more of uh Ari and Jeremy. Uh [34:30] right now the land of Israel network, [34:32] land of Isisrael.com. Uh and included in [34:35] that right now is the awesome uh [34:37] prophets of Israel series where Ari and [34:40] Jeremy are going through the whole of [34:42] the Jewish Bible uh and teaching it to [34:44] the world. And it's been one of the most [34:46] incredible uh uh and and so simple and [34:49] so beautiful projects that they've ever [34:51] gone to. And a lot of people are being [34:53] touched by that. So call it Kavode. And [34:54] I want everybody to join folks uh Ari [34:57] and Jeremy and and the team including [35:00] Greg and others uh at the land [35:02] ofisrael.com. [35:03] As for myself, I want you to keep [35:05] building Israel together with me as [35:07] we're driving in this good land. We're [35:09] building it together. So join me at [35:10] buildisrael.com where we're building [35:12] Israel together. Me, you, and the God [35:14] above. It's actually happening. And [35:16] together we're building Israel. I'm a builder of [35:25] Israel. Let's build Israel. God is [35:27] building Israel. So, it's build [35:28] Isisrael.com or buy me a coffee.com. [35:32] Just buy us a coffee. I could use a [35:33] coffee right now. God bless you folks [35:35] wherever you are. Stay tuned. Stay [35:36] strong. Stay connected. And keep driving [35:38] this good road. We didn't even talk [35:39] about the fact that this whole time [35:41] we've been on Route 60, the biblical [35:44] highway, as it's now officially named, [35:47] this good land, Ari. I was just going to [35:49] say this may be an even more compelling [35:52] podcast if you watch it on mute and [35:54] don't let my words [35:57] uh distract you from just looking at the [36:00] olive trees growing on the ancient [36:02] mountains of Israel. There's a mystical [36:04] power, a magic, a sanctity, a holiness, [36:08] uh a light that just exudes just from [36:11] looking at just look at the mountains [36:13] and you're going to want to come home. [36:15] Um, I agree with that so much. And [36:18] sometimes I don't say things like that [36:19] because it's like it's something that's [36:21] hard to to to believe unless you see it [36:24] and feel it for yourself. But we're now [36:26] right now in the mountains of Samaria. [36:28] And I agree with you. I agree with you [36:29] fully, Ari. I feel that feeling that you [36:31] just said. Uh, I I feel that feeling all [36:34] the time. It would be nicer if your car [36:37] had clean windows so I could see it. But [36:39] as it is, it's the dirt of Judea. Uh, [36:41] and and we really appreciate that. [36:43] servants cherished her stones. That's [36:45] right. And love her dust. And that's the [36:48] thing. I'll end this one line. [36:50] >> I could try to explain to you in words [36:52] the beauty of the land of Israel. You [36:54] could even see little traces of it maybe [36:56] on pictures or video, but it's [36:59] ultimately it's like me showing you a [37:01] sheet of musical notes versus going to a [37:03] philarmonic orchestra. You really need [37:05] to come here, put your roots in, and [37:07] say, "I am here." And the land opens [37:09] itself up to you. And that's what I [37:11] bless all of you around the world to [37:13] merit to do that in your lifetimes and [37:15] to experience the beauty and the light. [37:17] And when you do, you'll understand why [37:18] all of this darkness in the world, just [37:20] like Yeshai said, is a great blessing. [37:23] And that's how you redeem that darkness [37:25] to bring the light, by actually [37:26] accepting that mission that the darkness [37:29] is sending you on. [37:31] And if you have an aha moment throughout [37:33] this this podcast, go with it. Don't [37:38] bury that aha moment. like have that [37:40] what I call aliyah revelation. [37:44] >> That's good. [37:44] >> Yeah. It's called the aliyah revelation. [37:46] When you have that moment, you're like, [37:47] "Yes, I can. I want to. I will follow it [37:51] all the way." [37:52] >> That's why you're my reb. [37:53] >> Yeah. The sages by the way say that [37:55] Amalikch the Amalikites that name comes [37:58] from or is related to the act of Melika [38:02] which is when the Coen Gadul would take [38:05] his large nail on the thumb and would [38:08] cut the uh neck of a bird and that's the [38:12] way that he would slaughter the bird. Uh [38:14] and so they explain that melika is the [38:16] detachment between head and heart. M [38:19] >> when you have a revelation, a revelatory [38:22] moment and you're able to bring it down [38:24] from here into your heart when you're [38:26] like you have that aha moment. You're [38:28] like, "Yes, they're right. This has been [38:30] an amazing podcast [38:32] and then you're like you you let [38:34] something get between that and you kind [38:35] of forget about it and you just make an [38:37] intellectual decision, but not a fully [38:39] heart decision as they say in a a deep [38:42] decision. If you if you block it, if you [38:45] don't allow it to trickle down into the [38:47] heart, that's a big mistake. That's [38:48] amlite like [38:50] >> says the greatest distance in the whole [38:51] world is the distance between your head [38:53] and your heart that you can know [38:55] something but the Torah says the primary [38:57] directive to me the one most important [39:00] in the Torah [39:06] you shall know today in your head you [39:07] can know something but you shall infuse [39:10] it into your heart make it part of [39:12] yourself that there's nothing other than [39:14] Hashem in the world and when you do that [39:16] then you won't be afraid of aliyah you [39:18] won't be afraid of change. You won't be [39:19] afraid of what's happening in the world. [39:21] You will be excited. You your fear will [39:23] transform to desire. That's what I bless [39:25] all of your all of your holy listeners [39:27] with cuz they wouldn't be watching this [39:29] and listening to it if they didn't have [39:30] that the spark of that truth in their [39:32] heart. They would be like, I'm just [39:34] going to go to a Tik Tok and watch [39:36] Friends reruns. They're here for a [39:38] reason. [39:39] All right, folks. God bless you. You are [39:41] watching Friends. Uh Arya Brahma Fleer [39:44] and our team here in the back. Uh, and [39:46] we're coming close to Harraha here in [39:49] Samaria to join the Israel guys for [39:51] another podcast. God bless you folks [39:52] wherever you are. Stay tuned. Stay [39:54] strong. Stay connected. Let the love [39:57] trickle down into your heart. God bless [39:58] you wherever you are. and shalom. [42:37] Mandani is a manifestation of God's [42:41] tremendous love for his children that [42:43] he's willing to take all these steps to [42:45] bring us home. And Irene and I have [42:46] sometimes a slight disagreement about [42:49] how to approach American Jews. Used to [42:51] be slight, now it's more significant. I [42:55] used to wonder, Jews of pre-Holocaust [42:57] Germany, did they not see the writing on [42:58] the wall? Why didn't they leave? And I [43:00] now have my answer. American Jews today. [43:03] And I know that that's something nobody [43:05] wants to hear and they're upset hearing [43:06] it and they get mad at me and but what [43:08] what else am I supposed to
