Transcript [00:00] So, in case you've been living under a [00:01] rock today, [00:02] you probably know that President Trump [00:05] declared the ceasefire over, but there's [00:07] a lot more details about what has taken [00:09] place in the last 12 to 24 hours or so. [00:12] We're going to get right into it. We're [00:13] going to start off with a clip of [00:15] President Trump uh speaking at the NATO [00:19] summit. So, let's just head go right to [00:21] it. [00:21] >> Mr. PRESIDENT, [laughter] IS THE [00:22] CEASEFIRE OVER? IS IS THE CEASEFIRE [00:24] DONE? Is the MOU dead? [00:27] >> It's a very interesting question. [00:29] To me, [00:31] I think it's over. [00:33] I don't want to deal with them anymore. [00:34] They're scum. You know what scum is? [00:36] They're scum. They're sick people. [00:38] They're led by sick people. [00:40] And they're they're vicious, violent [00:42] people. [00:43] And if they had a nuclear weapon, they'd [00:45] use it. As far as I'm concerned, it's [00:47] over. I'll speak to our negotiators. [00:49] They want to negotiate, they're good [00:50] people. [00:51] Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner. [00:54] But they have to come back to me. As far [00:56] as I'm concerned, it's just a waste of [00:58] time dealing with them. They're liars. [01:00] We make a deal. [01:02] And they would What If I make a deal [01:03] with him, we have a deal. And then he [01:04] goes out, he talks [01:06] We make a deal. Everyone's agreed. No [01:08] nuclear weapon. [01:09] We make a deal. They go outside, talk to [01:11] the press. They say, "We never even [01:12] talked about it." There's something [01:14] wrong with them. They're cuckoo. [01:17] As far as I'm concerned, it's over. [01:20] >> It's over. [01:21] >> All right, before I go on with the rest [01:23] with more of this clip, let's just [01:24] reflect on what he just said there. [01:26] First of all, he points out that Jared [01:28] Kushner and Steve Witkoff want to keep [01:29] negotiating cuz they're such good [01:31] people. [01:32] But that he believes it is a waste of [01:34] time. This is refreshing to hear that [01:36] President Trump is not buying all the [01:38] nonsense. [01:39] Also, when he brings up the fact that [01:41] like he says like, you know, we make an [01:42] agreement and then they go out and deny [01:43] it. This reminds us of what J.D. Vance [01:46] said, what was it about a week ago where [01:48] in an interview he said, "You know, it's [01:50] a little curious, this strange thing [01:52] about the Iranians that, you know, we're [01:54] having peace negotiations and then they [01:55] claim there aren't any negotiations. [01:57] It's this weird thing about them that [01:59] they deny what's actually being [02:00] negotiated. And we also had you know, [02:03] this goes all the way back to Witcoff [02:05] before the war saying that President [02:07] Trump is a little bit you know, we're a [02:08] little bit confused. Why aren't they [02:09] capitulating? A failure to understand [02:12] how the Iranians work. You see, what [02:15] they [02:16] for some reason it got into the heads of [02:18] a lot of these Americans [02:20] that [02:21] when the Iranians say one thing in in a [02:23] closed-door negotiating room and then [02:25] say and then they say something else [02:27] publicly that what they say publicly is [02:29] just performative and not meant to be [02:31] taken seriously, but the real thing is [02:33] what we have behind closed doors. Think [02:34] about how many times President Trump has [02:36] said over the last month or so, we have [02:38] a deal, they've agreed to almost [02:39] everything, they've agreed they're not [02:41] going to have a nuclear weapon. He He I [02:43] don't think he's a I don't think he's a [02:44] liar with those things. He doesn't want [02:45] to make himself look like a fool. I [02:47] believe that they actually say behind [02:49] closed doors one thing and they say [02:51] something else in public. But for some [02:53] reason in the minds of these Americans [02:55] and in the Westerners, [02:56] in the minds in the minds of a lot of [02:58] people, what they say publicly [03:01] is just performative and not meant to be [03:02] taken seriously and what they say [03:04] privately is the real thing. And I [03:06] argued [03:07] I said this last week. I said they have [03:08] it exactly backwards. It's what they say [03:11] behind closed doors in those negotiating [03:13] rooms that's not meant to be taken [03:14] seriously. That's what they're not being [03:17] real about. [03:20] And that's a bit of a It's nice to see [03:22] President Trump [03:23] on the right page here. Uh that was very [03:26] important, very refreshing to hear that [03:29] he believes that the ceasefire is over, [03:31] that the MOU is over and uh [03:34] yeah, it seems like he's seeing things [03:35] clearly. But we'll have to see where [03:37] this goes. [03:37] >> Will these talks not resume after after [03:40] we get through the funeral proceedings? [03:41] Will our Does this mean that talks with [03:44] Iran will not resume after [03:45] >> care. They can talk, but I think they're [03:47] wasting their time. They're a bunch of [03:48] lying guys. I do it my whole life. [03:50] That's all I do is deals. My whole life [03:52] is That's how I became president, I [03:54] guess. That's a deal, too, right? [03:56] But I I made a lot of money. I had a lot [03:58] of great success. [03:59] I had tremendous success. Everything I [04:01] did, I was successful. [04:03] And I deal with these guys, and I say, [04:04] "This is from a different [04:06] school. They're liars. [04:08] They're cheats. They're sick people. [04:11] They've hurt their people. They killed [04:13] 54,000 people as of now that were [04:15] protesting. [04:17] You know, when people say, "How come [04:18] they haven't taken over?" They can't [04:19] take over [04:21] because they're dead. [04:22] They killed them. Nobody's going to take [04:24] over. They have no guns, and the other [04:25] side has machine guns. [04:27] And they're killing them. The press [04:28] doesn't report it. [04:30] But they're [04:31] >> This was also a very interesting [04:32] statement where President Trump comments [04:35] on how the Iranian people haven't been [04:37] able to take over the government because [04:38] they don't have weapons. [04:40] And he hasn't brought up that type of [04:42] regime change thing in a long time. [04:44] Uh he's he's been talking about how [04:46] there's reasonable people to talk to. [04:48] You see that he's had a change of heart [04:49] in the last [04:51] You know, remember how for all these [04:53] last couple months we've been you know, [04:54] there's been some frustration on our [04:56] side like he keeps talking about them as [04:57] though they're reasonable people. Now [04:59] he's dropped that, and he's also talking [05:01] about the Iranian people again in this [05:03] comment. I don't know if this is just a [05:05] one-off, but it's something to watch in [05:07] the days ahead. Is uh rhetoric [05:11] uh about the about the Iranian people [05:13] taking the regime [05:16] which we haven't heard from Trump since [05:17] the beginning of the war, is that going [05:19] to be coming back? Something to watch [05:21] for. [05:21] >> bad people. [05:22] They're bad people. And uh [05:26] frankly, I don't want to waste my time [05:28] with them. Now, [05:29] I'll let our wonderful negotiators keep [05:32] talking if they want, but I don't see [05:33] it. Uh I don't like these people, you [05:36] know that? I like him. I like the [05:38] leaders I like I think all of these [05:39] leaders [05:40] >> And they love [05:41] >> I think they didn't treat the United [05:43] States fairly for many years, but that's [05:45] okay. But but they're sane, rational, [05:48] good people, most of them. I don't like [05:50] a couple of them, to be honest with you. [05:52] There are a couple I don't like much. [05:54] But, I like you did the same. I like [05:55] your other one. I'll tell you, I like [05:57] President Erdogan. [05:59] >> Okay, we'll deal with the Erdogan issue [06:01] in a in another video. There's a lot [06:02] going on with Turkey, and I don't want [06:04] to get bogged down in that right now. [06:06] But, bottom line here is President Trump [06:08] says the ceasefire is over. So, what has [06:10] that led to? [06:11] Uh [06:12] what it's led to is strikes going back [06:14] and forth. IRGC says retaliatory strikes [06:17] at 85 US military targets, MQ-9 drone [06:20] down. This is from IRNA. This is uh [06:23] regime media, Islamic [06:25] Republic News Agency. [06:27] The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps [06:29] has announced that it launched an [06:30] initial retaliatory operation against [06:32] the US attack targeting 85 points of key [06:35] American military facilities in the West [06:37] Asia region. In a statement issued early [06:40] Wednesday, the IRGC [06:42] public relations office said the assault [06:43] came after a violation of the Iran-US [06:46] memorandum of understanding, and the [06:47] Iranian forces conducted [06:50] the fresh attacks. Following the [06:52] glorious funeral procession in Iran and [06:55] Iraq for the martyred leader of the [06:56] Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayed Ali [06:58] Khamenei, [06:59] the US, facing mounting failures, [07:02] perceived the massive public [07:03] mobilization as a major defeat, and once [07:05] again moved to breach its agreements, [07:07] according to the statement. [07:08] It said that the United States violated [07:10] the ceasefire and the Islamabad [07:12] understanding by carrying out an air [07:14] attack in the early hours of Wednesday [07:16] on several coastal bases and [07:18] non-military stations in the coastal [07:20] areas of Hormozgan province [07:23] and Mahshahr. [07:25] The statement added the IRGC naval and [07:27] aerospace forces responded in a joint [07:29] missile and drone operation striking 85 [07:32] locations linked to important US [07:34] military installations in Bahrain's [07:37] Salman Port and Fifth Naval District, as [07:40] well as Ali Al [07:42] airbase in Kuwait. [07:44] Okay, we'll we'll we'll make note of [07:46] those two locations. We'll talk about [07:47] them a little bit more in a moment. The [07:49] IRGC also said it shot down an enemy [07:51] MQ-9 drone that had attempted to [07:53] interfere with the operation. [07:54] Separately, IRGC spokesperson Brigadier [07:57] General Hossein Mobini said a US MQ-9 [08:00] drone was brought down over the skies of [08:02] of of Horamuj in Bushehr province. He [08:05] said the aircraft was hit by IRGC air [08:07] defense following the US air incursion [08:11] at dawn. Now, uh here this is from [08:15] Defense Security Asia website, US [08:17] strikes more than 80 Iranian military [08:19] targets as Tehran announces retaliatory [08:21] missile and drone attacks on bases in [08:23] Bahrain and Kuwait. [08:26] Notice they're only attacking sites in [08:28] Bahrain and Kuwait. We'll get to that [08:30] shortly as well. The fragile Islamabad [08:32] MOU that had temporarily reduced direct [08:34] hostilities between the US and Iran [08:36] appeared to fracture dramatically after [08:38] Washington launched a new wave of [08:41] precision strikes against military [08:43] targets in southern Iran, prompting [08:45] Tehran to announce retaliatory missile [08:47] and drone operations against American [08:49] military facilities across Bahrain and [08:51] Kuwait. According to the US military, [08:54] more than 80 Iranian military objectives [08:56] were struck during the operation, [08:58] including air defense systems, command [09:01] and control infrastructure, coastal [09:03] surveillance networks, anti-ship missile [09:05] positions, and dozens of Islamic [09:08] Revolutionary Guard Corps naval craft [09:10] operating around the the Strait of [09:13] Hormuz. That's what they're hitting. Let [09:15] me say it again. [09:17] Com- uh air defense systems, [09:20] command and control infrastructure, [09:22] coastal surveillance, anti-ship missile [09:24] positions, [09:26] and naval craft. Now, what this means is [09:28] that we have not gone back [09:31] if this is what they're hitting, then we [09:33] have not gone back to the beginning of [09:35] the war, to the wholesale [09:38] uh bombing of regime targets, the kind [09:42] of bombing we were seeing from February [09:44] 28th until April 8th when it was [09:46] stopped, when Israel was in there as [09:47] well. We haven't gone back to that. This [09:49] is all [09:51] targets that appear to be designed to [09:53] open up the Strait of Hormuz [09:55] at this stage. Washington described the [09:57] strikes as a direct response to attacks [09:59] on commercial shipping transiting the [10:01] Strait of Hormuz, [10:03] arguing that Iranian actions threaten [10:04] one of the world's most strategically [10:06] important maritime energy corridors and [10:08] therefore required immediate military [10:10] action to restore deterrence. Notice, [10:13] this isn't we're resuming the war, we're [10:15] taking down the regime. That's not what [10:16] it's saying. [10:17] They refer to it as a response to [10:19] attacks on shipping. Okay, so this is [10:21] still about the Strait of Hormuz. Just [10:24] Just so that we keep everything clear in [10:27] terms of what the stated current [10:29] objectives are. The way Trump was [10:30] talking, it sounds much more expansive [10:33] than that. He He didn't even mention the [10:34] Strait of Hormuz [10:35] in that clip I showed you [10:37] where he talked about it the ceasefire [10:39] being over and there's no point [10:40] negotiating anymore. [10:42] But the statement out of Washington [10:43] about what the attacks were for [10:46] uh make it sound like they're still just [10:48] trying to open the Strait. Now, I want [10:50] to jump down and talk about the [10:53] locations [10:54] that were hit. [10:59] Uh okay, here. Among the facilities [11:01] specifically identified by Iranian [11:02] officials, as I I read to you from the [11:04] Iranian media, were the US Navy's Fifth [11:08] Fleet Headquarters at Naval Support [11:10] Activity Bahrain in Mina Salman, Sheikh [11:13] Isa Air Base in Bahrain, [11:16] and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, [11:20] all of which represent critical pillars [11:22] of America's Gulf Force posture. [11:26] Okay, this is why I went to this [11:27] website. This is a defense and security [11:29] website. They talk more [11:31] uh this website gives more detail about [11:34] what is happening at the defense and [11:36] security level. So, down in the middle [11:38] of this article, it's a very long [11:39] article, I'm not going to read [11:41] all of it, I'm not even going to read [11:42] most of it. Why Bahrain's Fifth Fleet [11:44] Headquarters and Ali Al Salem Air Base [11:46] sit at the center of America's Gulf [11:48] Force posture. These are the sites that [11:51] the Iranian regime, although they said [11:53] they hit like 80, you know, over 80 [11:55] sites in their press release in IRNA, it [12:00] also appeared in Tasnim, in their press [12:02] kit about what they hit, they made [12:05] mention of these two sites. [12:08] The facilities identified in Iranian [12:10] statements, including the US Navy's [12:12] Fifth Fleet Headquarters at Naval [12:14] Support Activity Bahrain and Ali Al [12:16] Salem Air Base in Kuwait, represent two [12:19] of the most strategically significant [12:21] nodes supporting US power projection, [12:23] maritime security operations and [12:26] integrated regional deterrence across [12:27] the Middle East. Naval Support Activity [12:30] Bahrain serves as the headquarters of [12:32] the US Fifth Fleet and US Naval Forces [12:36] Central Command, [12:37] uh, [12:38] and US Naval Forces Central Command, [12:40] directing naval operations across the [12:42] Arabian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman, the Red [12:45] Sea, and portions of the Arabian Sea, [12:48] while supporting multinational maritime [12:50] security coalitions protecting critical [12:53] commercial shipping routes. The Fifth [12:55] Fleet's operational [12:57] responsibilities [12:58] extend beyond conventional naval warfare [13:01] because its command architecture [13:03] integrates ballistic missile defense, [13:05] intelligence fusion, maritime domain [13:08] awareness, expeditionary logistics, mine [13:11] countermeasure operations, and carrier [13:13] strike group coordination through one of [13:15] the world's most strategically contested [13:17] maritime theaters. [13:19] Any disruption to communications, [13:20] command and control systems, or [13:22] logistical infrastructure supporting the [13:24] Fifth Fleet could temporarily complicate [13:26] operational coordination across multiple [13:29] maritime task forces, although military [13:32] officials have not indicated that [13:33] current operations have suffered any [13:35] significant degradation, meaning it's [13:37] not that the Iranians were necessarily [13:38] successful in these attacks, but this is [13:40] what they're trying to hit. [13:42] Ali Al Salem Airbase, that's the one in [13:45] Kuwait, performs an equally important [13:47] role within US Central Command by [13:49] supporting strategic airlift, [13:51] intelligence, surveillance, and [13:52] reconnaissance missions, aerial [13:54] refueling operations, rapid force [13:56] deployment, and sustainment activities [13:59] connecting American military operations [14:00] across Southwest Asia. [14:05] Rather than functioning as a traditional [14:06] combat fighter base alone, Ali Al Salem [14:08] operates as a critical logistics and [14:10] mobility hub whose ability to sustain [14:13] continuous air operations directly [14:15] influences the responsiveness of [14:17] American force American forces [14:20] positioned throughout the Gulf region [14:22] during periods of heightened military [14:24] tension. And then they make a comment. [14:26] Iran's decision to publicly identify [14:28] these facilities therefore carries [14:31] strategic significance beyond immediate [14:33] military effects because the selection [14:36] of targets communicates an intention to [14:38] challenge the operational architecture [14:41] underpinning American regional force [14:43] posture rather than focusing exclusively [14:46] upon symbolic retaliation. That is why I [14:49] pulled up this piece. In other words, [14:52] here you have Iran saying that they've [14:53] hit like 80 plus [14:56] 85 US military targets, but they [14:57] identified two of them [15:00] by name. [15:02] They identify the [15:04] the Fifth Fleet Naval Base [15:07] in Bahrain and the airbase, the Ali Al [15:09] Salem airbase in Kuwait. And here in [15:11] this article, here in in Defense and [15:13] Security Asia article, we see why these [15:16] are what this signals, that this is not [15:19] Iran doing a tit-for-tat. [15:22] They are trying to with with these [15:24] strikes, they're trying to go for [15:27] you know, something that will [15:29] the American ability to operate [15:32] everything that they're doing in the [15:33] Gulf. [15:34] That doesn't mean it's successful, but [15:36] that's what they're that's what they're [15:37] pointing out here. [15:38] Now, Trump [15:40] this just came out literally like an [15:42] hour ago. [15:44] Trump US attacked Kharg Island late last [15:46] night may reinstate blockade of Iranian [15:48] ports. US President Donald Trump may [15:50] reinstate the American blockade of [15:52] Iranian ports in what would mark a [15:54] further collapse of the memorandum of [15:56] understanding. [15:57] That quote, they may put down the [16:00] blockade, we may put it back. It'll only [16:02] be a blockade for Iran. Anybody else can [16:05] have whatever they want, Trump tells [16:07] reporters. As part of the MOU, the US [16:09] agreed to lift the blockade. Trump is [16:11] asked again [16:13] um about another US attack on Iran [16:16] tonight and he says he'll probably give [16:18] the go-ahead and has no problem saying [16:19] so publicly because there's not a thing [16:21] they can do about it. [16:23] While he previously claimed that the US [16:24] has knocked out Iran's navy, he now says [16:26] Tehran still has small boats that are [16:28] dropping mines in the Strait of Hormuz. [16:31] He again claimed that the US is holding [16:32] off on attacking civilian infrastructure [16:35] sites in Iran, but that he could [16:37] authorize their targeting as well. [16:40] And then he talks about Kharg Island. He [16:42] says, maybe we'll take over Kharg [16:43] Island. He wonders aloud, there may be a [16:45] big attack and it'll knock out a lot of [16:47] stuff. Trump says Iran asked for a time [16:50] out from negotiations in order to hold [16:52] funeral proce- funeral proceedings for [16:54] the slain supreme leader. He says they [16:56] also asked that we not kill them during [16:57] the funeral. He called on Secretary of [16:59] Defense Pete Hegseth to detail what was [17:01] hit in last night's attack on Iran. [17:04] Hegseth said targets included the boats [17:06] Iran was using to harass vessels in the [17:08] Strait of Hormuz, underground missile [17:10] and drone storage sites and radar [17:12] systems. [17:13] And he made no mention of Kharg Island. [17:15] Hegseth didn't mention it. Um and then [17:17] he's and then anyway, so that's that's [17:20] what that's what happened literally just [17:22] in the last couple of hours. [17:23] Now, Kark Island is [17:26] is is a big deal, obviously. That's the [17:28] main storage facility for the Iranian [17:30] oil. Some upwards of 80 to 90% of the [17:32] Iranian oil [17:34] uh flows through uh [17:37] uh Kark Island. [17:38] Trump said a couple weeks ago that [17:41] taking Kark Island, he didn't think the [17:42] American people had a stomach for it. [17:45] Cuz it might uh to be actually take Kark [17:47] Island might require American [17:48] casualties, and I'm not sure he's [17:50] willing to go there. [17:51] But uh this is a significant escalation [17:53] if he's actually if they're actually uh [17:55] talking about taking or attacking Kark [17:57] Island. [17:59] Okay. [18:00] Um now, let's look at the diplomatic [18:02] side of the of what's happened here in [18:04] terms of the Gulf states, cuz this I [18:06] think is an interesting plot. [18:08] Oman condemns attacks on Bahrain and [18:10] Kuwait. Now, remember who Oman is in [18:12] this. Oman [18:14] is the [18:16] is the slippery player in in uh in this [18:19] whole thing in the saga that we've [18:21] witnessed over the last couple of [18:22] months, as you well know, Oman has been [18:26] kind of doing a dance with Iran about [18:30] maybe charging fees. Remember, they were [18:33] mentioned explicitly in the memorandum [18:35] of understanding [18:36] uh in the in the uh [18:38] in the clause about the Strait of Hormuz [18:40] that they would work it out work out the [18:43] management of the Strait of Hormuz [18:45] together with Iran, and then there was [18:47] all these rumors that they were that [18:49] they were colluding with Iran to start [18:50] charging fees, and then the Gulf states [18:52] got upset at them. [18:53] And then they went to the to the Gulf [18:55] states summit with Marco Rubio. The [18:57] Omanis were also there and signed on to [18:59] the declaration that there won't be any [19:01] any fees. So, other Gulf states have [19:04] been looking at Oman kind of [19:05] suspiciously throughout this time. [19:09] So, Oman jumps at the head of the pack [19:11] and condemns the attacks on Bahrain and [19:13] Kuwait. Muscat, the Sultanate of Oman, [19:15] has condemned the military attacks [19:18] targeting the territories of the Kingdom [19:19] of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, as [19:21] well as the attacks on two Saudi and [19:23] Qatari commercial vessels in the Strait [19:24] of Hormuz. A statement by the Foreign [19:26] Ministry on Wednesday said that Oman [19:28] reaffirms its solidarity with the two [19:31] countries in all efforts to safeguard [19:33] their security, stability, protect their [19:36] sovereignty and territorial integrity, [19:38] and preserve the national interests. The [19:40] Sultanate of Oman also stressed that the [19:42] escalating military tensions in the [19:44] region pose a serious threat to regional [19:46] security, maritime safety, the [19:48] uninterrupted flow of international [19:49] trade, and global energy supplies. Oman [19:52] reiterated its firm rejection of any [19:55] actions that undermine the security of [19:57] states or endanger civilian and [20:00] commercial shipping. [20:02] It also called on all parties to [20:03] exercise maximum restraint and [20:05] de-escalate, promote peace. [20:07] Okay, so they are [20:10] they want to make it very clear whose [20:11] side they're on. [20:13] And what happened today? Look at this. [20:16] In the midst of all of this, today. Now, [20:18] just remember, Saudi Arabia and Oman are [20:19] next to each other. They border each [20:21] other. [20:23] And this is from today, from this [20:24] afternoon. Saudi Foreign Minister meets [20:26] counterpart in Oman to discuss regional [20:29] developments. [20:30] Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince [20:32] Faisal bin Farhan arrived in Muscat on [20:35] Wednesday to discuss regional [20:36] developments with his Omani counterpart. [20:38] Prince Faisal was received by Oman's [20:41] Foreign Minister, [20:42] and the Saudi Ambassadors to the [20:44] Sultanate of Oman was also there. Both [20:46] ministers will discuss ways to enhance [20:48] bilateral relations between the two [20:50] brotherly countries and to address [20:52] opportunities and prospects for joint [20:54] cooperation. This is in a Saudi media [20:55] outlet. This is in Arab News. [20:57] So, you see that uh there's obviously [20:59] some conversations taking place between [21:01] the Saudis and the Omanis, not only [21:03] because we have a headline, but you see [21:04] what's happening here. [21:05] Saudi ships got attacked over the course [21:08] of the last couple days. That's what uh [21:10] you know, the this latest breakdown. Oh, [21:12] I talked about this, I think, yesterday. [21:14] The Saudi ships were attacked. [21:17] We have the Omanis condemning [21:19] uh you know, condemning what Iran is [21:21] doing. [21:22] And the Saudi foreign minister goes to [21:24] Oman to talk things over with them. They [21:25] need to make sure that the Omanis are on [21:27] the right side of this and are playing [21:29] ball. [21:30] Cuz those Saudi ships were attacked [21:32] going through the Omani route [21:34] on the Omani side of the Strait of [21:36] Hormuz, where Iran was attacking them. [21:38] And it could be maybe the Saudis, maybe [21:40] the other Gulf states, the Qataris, [21:41] maybe they're not so happy with Oman's [21:44] response or lack of response or lack of [21:46] pushback against the Iranians as the [21:48] Iranians attacked ships passing through [21:50] the Omani southern route. [21:54] Just a thought. [21:55] Um [21:57] Gulf Arab states condemn latest Iranian [21:59] attacks. This is also in Arab news, the [22:01] same Saudi outlet. Kuwaiti [22:06] Um the Kuwaitis on Wednesday condemned [22:08] the latest Iranian attack describing [22:10] Tehran's military actions as a [22:12] continuation of brazen aggression. [22:14] The security the the security of the [22:16] state of Kuwait, its sovereignty, the [22:18] safety of its citizens and residents on [22:19] its soil are a red line that cannot be [22:21] crossed. Okay, so they Jordan issued a [22:24] similar condemnation of the brutal [22:25] Iranian attacks against Kuwait [22:27] describing them as a flagrant violation [22:29] of Kuwait's sovereignty. Qatar also [22:32] condemned the repeated Iranian attacks [22:35] on Bahrain and Kuwait. [22:37] Okay, so the everyone's condemning it. [22:38] Egypt also condemned the repeated the [22:40] repeated Iranian attacks. [22:43] Right? Egypt emphasizes its full [22:44] rejection of all actions. The Islamic [22:46] Revolutionary Guard Corps said it [22:48] carried out a joint missile and drone [22:49] operation against Ali Al Salem Air Base. [22:52] Talks about that. [22:54] And then all the way at the bottom [22:56] Anwar Gargash, the diplomatic adviser to [22:59] the UAE president, has commented that [23:02] Iran's attacks on Qatari and Saudi [23:03] commercial tankers in the Strait of [23:05] Hormuz and repeated aggression against [23:07] our sisterly Bahrain and Kuwait are a [23:09] clear indicator that Tehran remains [23:11] incapable of committing to the [23:13] requirements of de-escalation and [23:14] turning the page on war. Very strange [23:16] that after it was it's almost like a [23:18] bullet point list. Kuwait condemned, [23:21] Jordan condemned, Qatar condemned, Egypt [23:24] condemned. The same verb leading each [23:27] paragraph. Then it talks about the IRGC [23:29] what they attacked. And then we have [23:31] this statement [23:33] from uh that a a diplomatic advisor to [23:35] the president of the UAE, it's not even [23:37] an official statement, didn't even it's [23:40] not even condemning the attacks, just [23:42] commented [23:44] that the attacks on Qatari and Saudi [23:46] commercial tankers [23:48] shows that they're incapable of making [23:49] peace in Iran. [23:52] Okay? [23:53] Why am I pointing that out? Because in [23:56] UAE state media, [23:58] we do have UAE condemns attack on Saudi [24:02] tanker in Strait of Hormuz. The UAE has [24:04] strongly condemned the Iranian attack on [24:06] the Saudi oil tanker. In a statement, [24:08] the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the [24:10] attack posed a serious threat to safety [24:12] and security [24:13] and condemned it. The UAE expressed full [24:15] solidarity with Saudi Arabia and [24:17] emphasized its support for all measures [24:19] taken by the kingdom. [24:21] The Ministry added that the attack [24:22] constituted a breach of UN Security [24:24] Council Resolution 2817, [24:27] which which calls for freedom of [24:28] navigation. [24:31] Why does the Saudi media outlet mute [24:35] the UAE condemnation of the attack? Why [24:38] didn't it include them in the list of [24:39] the other states? [24:41] The reason I'm raising this question is [24:43] not to be conspiratorial, but because [24:45] right now there is some significant [24:47] tension building between the UAE and [24:50] Saudi Arabia. Some of it has to do with [24:53] uh with what's taken place in Yemen that [24:54] I've reported on in a number of recent [24:56] videos that that they were backing [24:59] different anti-Houthi groups and the UAE [25:02] was backing a group that was actually [25:04] also anti-Islamist while the Saudis were [25:07] backing an Islamist Muslim Brotherhood [25:09] aligned group. The Saudis ended up [25:11] taking control and pushing out the UAE [25:13] group. There's a lot of tension in that [25:16] in that whole area down there. The UAE [25:18] is on Israel's side down in Somaliland. [25:21] Saudi Arabia is more hedging. [25:23] There's some real tension and although [25:25] let's not forget OPEC where the UAE [25:27] pulled out of OPEC which upset the [25:29] Saudis. [25:30] Uh so there's some stuff going on [25:32] between them right now. There's also [25:33] this story [25:35] um that is developing where apparently [25:39] bank transfers from Saudi Arabia to UAE [25:42] have been held up and it's unclear why. [25:44] There's some Bottom line is there's some [25:46] very serious tensions brewing between [25:48] the UAE and Saudi Arabia and maybe I'm [25:50] reading too much into this but it seemed [25:52] to me that leaving out the UAE from this [25:56] article about which literally like a [25:59] list listed all the countries [26:01] that put out official statements [26:03] condemning [26:04] and it lists Kuwait Jordan, Qatar, Egypt [26:09] and just does not [26:12] Now if they had not mentioned the UAE at [26:14] all that would have been very blatant so [26:15] they kind of left them to the bottom of [26:16] the article like a buried lead and they [26:18] just mentioned that a diplomatic advisor [26:20] to the UAE president made a comment that [26:22] wasn't really a condemnation. [26:24] So [26:25] I'm just pointing that out. It's a side [26:28] plot that's developing. We'll probably [26:30] do a separate video on it soon [26:33] about the UAE Saudi tensions to dig down [26:35] into them tell that story a little bit [26:36] more. [26:38] But uh looks like things are ramping up [26:40] and uh [26:41] and we'll also watch this whole this [26:43] whole Omani situation as it develops [26:47] uh as hostilities ramp up. Let's see [26:49] where the Omanis stand. Let's see what [26:50] their statements look like. We'll be [26:52] watching all of this very closely. [26:53] Thanks for watching. Keep watching, keep [26:56] sharing, and keep commenting. I read as [26:58] many of the comments as I can. They [26:59] really do matter. God bless.
